Natalya announced as seventh contestant for women’s Money in the Bank

One-half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Natayla is the seventh competitor in the women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match.

The WWE legend was added to the match by Sonya Deville and will take on Asuka, Alexa Bliss, Naomi, Liv Morgan, Nikki Cross/ASH and Zelina Vega who will battle it out to become Ms Money in the Bank.

The announcement came from Deville via Twitter and read;

With all the changes and challengers for #MITB and #Smackdown, I will be the one to establish some consistency for this Sunday and there is NO ONE more consistent than 1/2 of our @WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions… @natbynature. Nattie, welcome to the MITB Ladder Match!”

Deville has played a huge role in the women’s MITB match thus far. She inserted former MITB winner Carmella and the returning Vega into the match. The following week she removed Carmella and added Morgan. Carmella was removed to replace the injured Bayley as Bianca Belair‘s challenger for SmackDown Women’s Championship.

Natalya has competed in all women’s MITB matches except last year’s event. She will no doubt be looking to add Ms Money in the Bank to her list of accomplishments.

There is one place remaining in the women’s MITB. RAW and SmackDown are still to take place prior to the event that takes place this Sunday, July 18. So we could be in for one more surprise.

Money in the Bank is the first WWE event to take place before a capacity crowd since March 2020. The show takes place this Sunday from Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas.
