In a last chance match to join Team SmackDown for Survivor Series, Natalya finally gets her win. She went one-on-one with Tamina.
It’s been a long road for Natalya and she hasn’t been happy about it. She has been involved in every qualifying match and kept losing after the eventual winner would sneak in the victory.
She would frequently complain to WWE Authority Adam Pearce who even offered to place on her the team without qualifying at one point. After being offended by that option, she was determined to win her way on the team.
It first started in a Triple threat match against Billie Kay and Bianca Belair. Belair would pick up that win and become the first member of the team. She would then lose in another Triple Threat (Ruby Riott, Zelina Vega) and a Fatal 4-way (Liv Morgan, Chelsea Green, Tamina). Ruby Riott and Liv Morgan qualified in those matches.
As for Bayley, she was hand picked and selected for the team by Pearce.
Bayley and Bianca were on commentary during the match and afterward celebrated in the ring as The Riott Squad join them. Bayley has assumed the role of team captain.
Team SmackDown looks strong this year and unlike Team RAW they haven’t had weeks of built-up anguish and animosity amongst each other. Could this year be the year that the blue brand women’s team is finally victorious?
