The champions of SHINE Wrestling have been shaken up as we now have both new SHINE Tag Team Champions as well as a new SHINE Champion.
First, The Hex seems to be the team to beat in the tag team scene as they are now double champions.
The duo of Allysin Kay and Marti Belle was already the NWA World Women’s Tag Team Champions heading into this WWN Supershow Battle of the Belts event but now they have both shoulders full of gold. They defeated the team of Kimber Lee and Stormie Lee known collectively as DangerousLee to become the SHINE Tag Team Champions. This ends the reign of DangerousLee at 295-days.
This is Marti Belle’s third time as SHINE Tag Team Champion with her second partner. She has held the belts before on two separate occasions with her former BTY partner Jayme Jameson. This is Kay’s first time as a tag team champ.
Next, the SHINE Championship has changed hands.
For the first time in 701-days, Ivelisse is no longer champion. Natalia Markova ended Ivelisse’s reign and has become champion for the first time and only the 10th woman to hold the belt since its inception in 2013. She is a former SHINE NOVA Champion which she won against Lindsey Snow in a tournament final. The title was vacant at the time due to Shotzi Blackheart signing with WWE.
Markova was seen earlier this year on AEW Dark in a few matches against Tay Conti, Leyla Hirsch, and Abadon.
Also at the event, the aforementioned NOVA Championship stayed put with The WOAD as she defeated the ACW Women’s Champion, Lexi Gomez.
Congratulations to the new champs!
