For all the SHIMMER fans out there who are waiting on pins and needles for the next set of DVDs to hit the market, I got some big news out of the last SHIMMER tapings.
– Roxxi (using her SHIMMER name, Nikki Roxx) returned to the company, picking up singles wins over Cat Power and Melanie Cruise on Volumes 23 and 25. She’s also formed a tag team dubbed “Pretty Bitchin'” with fellow SHIMMER star Ariel. The team lost on Volume 24 to the International Homewrecking Crew (Rain and Jetta), and picked up a win over Malia Hosaka and Lexie Fyfe on Volume 26.
– I reported in my SHIMMER Spotlight feature that SHIMMER and ROH mainstay, Lacey, had retired from wrestling. Looks like she’s made a semi-comeback in a managerial capacity. The fierce beauty is acting as the manager of her former stablemates The International Homewrecking Crew.
– Several new SHIMMER recruits made their debuts at the Volumes 23-26 tapings. Those names include: Tenille (a student of Lance Storm), Melanie Cruise (recently featured in SHIMMER’s PreShow, SPARKLE), Kelly Skater, and Rayna Von Tosh (the first graduate of SHIMMER’s training camp) EDIT: Annie Social also made her debut managing Wesna Busic. (Â Thanks abwiz74!)
– SHIMMER Tag Team Champs Neveah and Ashley Lane aka Madison Rayne dropped their titles on Volume 26 to The Canadian NINJAs (Portia Perez and Nicole Matthews).  Not surprising as Madison is now a full time member of the TNA roster. I’m left to wonder if Madison will still compete on SHIMMER and what to come from Nevaeh.
– Other notable appearances include: Cheerleader Melissa, Daffney and Awesome Kong
