Stephanie Vaquer Makes First NXT Appearance

0

Stephanie Vauqer is officially on NXT TV!

At the very end of the Sept. 24 episode of NXT, Vaquer made her very first appearance on the screen. The NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez, and her challenger for next week Giulia, were in the ring closing out the show with a press conference.

Both Perez and Giulia were fielding questions until an interruption happened. Byron Saxton, who was moderating, acted as if it was another individual trying to ask a question, but it wasn’t. It was Vaquer who was on the screen “via satellite” from her home country of Chile.

With Giulia poised to take the gold from Perez next week, Vaquer had a question…

“What are you going to do when you have me waiting on the other side of your NXT Women’s Championship match?”

Jaida Parker Gives Credit To Veteran Women Who Have Helped Out NXT

0

Rising NXT star Jaida Parker is giving kudos where kudos belong.

The women’s roster in NXT has had a lot of opportunity lately to wrestle or interact with women from both the main roster of WWE and also the Knockouts from TNA. With this has come a lot of knowledge and help to the fresh faces.

Parker, in particular, has worked a lot with Michin and even had a feud going on with her on the NXT brand. Other women who have been back in NXT are Shayna Baszler, Natalya, Chelsea Green, and even CM Punk was there on the last episode involved in hyping up the women’s division in a segment with Giulia and the NXT Women’s Champion – Roxanne Perez.

While speaking with Good Karma Wrestling, Parker had the following to say –

“I have to start with the women that come down from main roster. Michin in general, she’s a wonderful woman. Wonderful woman, even though we butt heads a little bit, but she is a wonderful woman. Natalya, oh my goodness. A legend. A legend. She always has an open mind, open heart. I mean, she’s so genuine. Shayna Baszler, they all come down, Chelsea Green and no matter what it is, they’re so willing to help us. As long as we’re willing to listen, they’re always willing to give us knowledge. Just last night, CM Punk, I know I’ve seen a lot of them come around and they’re just so willing just to sit there and have a conversation with you about getting you better because they’ve done their time. You know, they’re there for a reason. They are legends for a reason. They’re just always open to coaching us. I love that about all the vets that come down here. There’s not been one vet that is like, ‘Eh I ain’t got time for you,'” Parker said. (Fightful)

Parker is currently feuding with the Fatal Influence while also dealing with Lola Vice.

NXT Women’s North American Title Match To Kick Off NXT – Sept. 24

0

This week’s NXT episode which will air tonight on Sept. 24 will kick off with a championship match.

The NXT Women’s North American Champion Kelani Jordan will defend against Wren Sinclair. This match came about after Sinclair slapped Jordan across the face last week. Jordan was talking about how she was inspired by TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace who consistently issues open challenges. Jordan considered doing the same thing, but before deciding, Sinclair approached her and took matters in her own hands with a palm across the face of the champion.

Check back in with Diva Dirt during show time to talk about this match and more to air tonight! This also includes a tag team match on the card which has Wendy Choo & Rosemary taking on Brinley Reece & Karmen Petrovic.

All this and more on tonight’s NXT!

Spoilers: WWE Main Event Tapings for Sept. 26

As always, WWE has taped this week’s Main Event episode prior to its Raw event. Below you will find the spoilers from the women’s match from this week.

Deonna Purrazzo Wants To Work More With NJPW

NJPW has been a big working partner with AEW over the past couple years, and around that same time they started featuring women within the promotion. This has included talent not only from AEW but from STARDOM.

NJPW has two women’s belts that work under its promotion. The IWGP Women’s Title and the NJPW STRONG Women’s Title. Both of which have been held by AEW/STARDOM talents.

AEW’s Deonna Purrazzo has recently commented on wanting to work with NJPW. She has worked with the promotion only as cross-branded with IMPACT. She is wanting more with the promotion as she has seen what it has done for the likes of Mercedes Moné and how STARDOM has helped Anna Jay.

Speaking with the Wrestling Classic, she said the following –

“That was the goal coming into this year. I was the first big signee of 2024, I got to debut in New Jersey, in my hometown, it was from day one incredible. So, to now see how that division is growing, Mercedes coming in March and Anna Jay just got back from a tour in STARDOM. Also, the New Japan STRONG Women’s Champion, so there’s that partnership with New Japan there. To see how our women’s division has grown tremendously, the people who are like OGs like an Anna, like Julia Hart, see what she’s done over the last year. It’s just a really incredible division and I see so much potential in all of the girls and so many stories that I could tell with them but so many stories they could tell within themselves. Then, all the partnerships that we have elsewhere. I would love to go back to Japan, I would love to work with New Japan a little bit more. The possibilities are endless, I’m just really excited about it.” (Fightful)

In AEW, Purrazzo is currently teasing a faction. She already has had Taya Valkyrie join her and on this past week’s Collision, she gave a shout out to Yuka Sakazaki.

Léi Ying Lee To Make TNA Debut On Sept. 26

0

After a few vignettes that have aired over the past number of weeks, Léi Ying Lee will make her debut for TNA on Sept. 26.

The former Xia Li, seems poised to take over the Knockouts division. She was released from WWE earlier this year after spending seven years with the company. Her last match was against Natalya on Main Event in a losing effort. In June, she started having matches on the indie scene.

Lee’s opponent for her debut on Thursday will be Hyan.

Other Knockouts matches will be Wendy Choo and Rosemary taking on the TNA Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace and a mystery partner. Plus one of the newest Knockouts, Heather Reckless takes on Xia Brookside.

Shark Cage Added To Bad Blood! Damage CTRL Dominates the Night!

0

This week’s Monday Night Raw is back with drama and action. Liv Morgan, riding high on her “Revenge Tour,” opened the show with some serious swagger, gloating about stealing everything from Rhea Ripley—her title, her faction, and, as she called him, “the most beautiful man in the world,” Dominik Mysterio. Cue the eye-rolls from the crowd.

Ripley, of course, wasn’t having it. With Dominik’s sudden surge of bravery, Ripley had to remind him she could still end him, given half the chance. As if things weren’t spicy enough, Ripley announced Dom Dom would be locked in a shark cage at Bad Blood.

And just when Liv thought she was in the clear, Ripley threw in a classic twist: headbutt, boom!

Pure Fusion Collective Promo aired

Iyo & Kairi are backstage preparing for their match, the tag team champs approach Damage CTRL to give credit where it’s due after Iyo pinned Bianca last week. Belair and Cargill stare down the challengers as they head into the ring.

Damage CTRL vs. The Unholy Union

Iyo Sky and Kairi Sane had a solid bout against the Unholy Union, with the duo continuing to gain momentum. Iyo’s hot tag in particular was a highlight of the match with the crowd coming alive watching the genius of the Sky work her magic. Sky’s Over the Moonsault sealed the win, and I imagine a tag team title shot.

Winners: IYO SKY & Kairi Sane

Solid albeit lacking episode of Monday Night Raw. It was great to hear Liv take center stage in the opening promo, it feels she’s faded into the numbers of Judgement Day these last couple of weeks but we do have a major Women’s World Title match coming up at Bad Blood. Damage CTRL continues their face turn, gaining momentum towards a Tag Team Title match against Bianca & Jade

Bad Blood is in less than two weeks on Oct. 5. There the Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan defends against Rhea Ripley.

Nothing for the women has been advertised for tonight, so hopefully we get something.

Stevie Turner & Kit Wilson Get Married

0

NXT Star Stevie Turner and one-half of Pretty Deadly’s Kit Wilson have tied the knot.

In a social media post over the weekend, the happy couple confirm the marriage and share some photos.

Turner has been working as an assistant GM to Ava on NXT. Her last match was against Jordynne Grace in June. She has been working house shows.

Wendy Choo & Rosemary In Action On Sept. 24 NXT

0

Wendy Choo and Rosemary continue their team together on this week’s NXT. They will be in action against Brinley Reece and Karmen Petrovic.

Choo & Rosemary teamed last week against Lyra Valkyria and Tatum Paxley. They weren’t able to get that win. Meanwhile, this week on TNA, they will be in action against Jordynne Grace and a mystery partner.

Can Choo and Rosemary pick up a much needed win this week on both shows?

Serena Deeb Battles Queen Aminata; Saraya’s Rules Match Explained

On the Sept. 21 episode of Collision there were two women’s matches.

First, the AEW Women’s World Champion Mariah May took on Lady Frost. This match was a quick over three minute match which May won by hitting Storm Zero.

After the match, there was a video package recapping the feud between Yuka Sakazaki & Mariah May. They face each other in a match for the AEW Women’s Title at AEW Dynamite Grand Slam on Wednesday.

Speaking of Sakazaki, Willow Nightingale was being interviewed backstage and she said as a friend of hers she will be watching the match. Deonna Purrazzo and Taya Valkyrie appeared. Purrazzo said that if Nightingale was truly Sakazaki’s friend she would be helping her or even at ringside and not just “watching.” Valkyrie steps in to stop Nightingale from speaking as a match between the two is now set for next Friday’s Rampage.

A second women’s match which was given well over 10 minutes was Serena Deeb vs. Queen Aminata. This match was very solid and either woman could have really won. It also received a “this is awesome” chant by the crowd who were weirdly quiet during the match but loud in other parts? Anyway, Deeb won with Detox.

Deeb will be taking on Britt Baker on Oct. 2 at Dynamite’s fifth year anniversary episode.

Saraya and Harley Cameron appeared backstage. Saraya is facing Jamie Hayter in a Saraya’s Rules match at Grand Slam. Again, it is not clear when this match is taking place. Renee Paquette said at Collision next week but the graphic for it says on Wednesday. So who the heck knows.

Here are the rules though –

  1. There are no rules except for the following.
  2. You cannot use weapons, unless you are Saraya
  3. You must obey the 10 count unless you are Saraya
  4. No biting, choking, closed fist, hair pulling or groin kicking, unless you are Saraya
  5. No Hammerlocks (Saraya never liked those anyway)
  6. No outside interference, unless you are a friend of Saraya’s
  7. No rope breaks, unless you are Saraya
  8. The match must only begin with offense from Saraya
  9. Jamie Hayter is a slag
  10. The winner receives an autographed copy of Saraya’s autobiography, available now for pre-order

Britt Baker To Return On Dynamite Fifth Anniversary Episode

Former AEW Women’s World Champion Britt Baker will be featured on AEW Dynamite’s Fifth Anniversary episode on Oct. 2.

Baker has not been featured on AEW television since she lost to Mercedes Moné for the TBS Championship at All In. A commercial aired on the Sept. 21 Collision that stated the 10/02/24 date which then changed to D/M/D. Baker was the first woman contracted to AEW in 2019.

The first Dynamite on Oct. 2 in 2019 featured Riho becoming the first-ever AEW Women’s World Champion by defeating Nyla Rose.

Kelly Kincaid Gives Birth To Baby Girl

Kincaid had been working on NXT TV right up until she gave birth.

Congratulations to the happy couple!

Dakota Kai Teases Return “See You Soon”

0

Damage CTRL’s Dakota Kai has been out of action for a number of weeks due to injury. Her last televised match was in July where she and the rest of Damage CTRL defeated Kayden Carter, Katana Chance, and Lyra Valkyria.

In August, WWE wrote off Kai for eight to ten weeks with a torn meniscus. She was attacked backstage by Pure Fusion Collective as a way to remove her from TV. With her absence and also Asuka being out with a knee injury, it has been only Kairi Sane and IYO SKY holding it down for Damage CTRL.

Kai may be back soon and seems to be right on target for her timeframe. She is sitting at least at six weeks and on her Instagram she wrote “See You Soon.”

Giulia Teams With Jaida Parker And Lola Vice At NXT Live Show

0

Giulia makes her debut for an NXT Live show on Friday. She teamed with Jaida Parker and Lola Vice to defeat Fatal Influence (Jacy Jayne and Fallon Henley) and Roxanne Perez.

On NXT TV Giulia challenges Perez for the NXT Women’s Title on Oct. 1. As for Parker and Vice, they have a common enemy in Fatal Influence but they haven’t been working well together, but still managed with Giulia’s help to get this W.

Full live event results –

  • Tatum Paxley def. Wendy Choo by DQ
  • Dani Palmer and Hank & Tank def. Lainey Reid, Kale Dixon and Uriah Connors
  • Meta Four def. Derrian Goburne and Tyra Mae Steele
  • Giulia, Jaida Parker, and Lola Vice def. Fatal Influence and Roxanne Perez

Piper Niven Attacks Michin On SmackDown LowDown

Piper Niven is attempting to lend a hand to her tag team partner Chelsea Green. On this week’s SmackDown LowDown, Niven attacked Michin with a trash can.

Michin will be facing Green in two weeks on Oct. 4 in a dumpster match. Green went training at the dumpster this week on SmackDown in a vignette and seemed to be doing well until she ran into a raccoon.

Saraya’s Rules Match Added To Grand Slam

Saraya taking on Jamie Hayter will take place at Grand Slam.

It will be in a “Saraya’s Rules Match.” Saraya issues the challenge after Hayter chased after her again on Rampage. It was not confirmed if it would be Grand Slam on Dynamite or Collision as Saraya only said “next week.”

The AEW Women’s World Champion Mariah May is already defending the gold on Dynamite against Yuka Sakazaki.

Also on Rampage, Hikaru Shida defeated Harley Cameron after Saraya attempted to get involved but Hayter ran her off.

Deonna Purrazzo had a video promo hinting at a new stable.Alongside Taya Valkyrie, Purrazzo stated:

“I came here to make art. Beautiful and violent art. I’ve made it clear that I’ve only just begun. Now, I may have come here alone, but recently I’ve been reminded I’ve never truly been alone. Because over the course of my career, I’ve cultivated a network of friends and family and associates, people I’ve shown generosity, people willing to repay my generosity with loyalty. If you think I’m dangerous, just wait til you see this thing of ours,” Purrazzo said

May will be taking on Lady Frost this Saturday on Collision.

Tornado Tag Team Match Ends Controversially; Chelsea Green… Or Chelsea Garbage?

Friday Night SmackDown aired this week from the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California. Bad Blood is two weeks away, and on the Team Blue side of the women’s division tonight was a tornado tag team match with important implications. Were Bayley and Naomi able to earn a title shot against Nia Jax in Atlanta, or were they sent packing?

We start with Tiffany Stratton talking trash backstage to Women’s Champion Queen Nia Jax about how they will beat Naomi and Bayley, and how good it will feel to never have to see either one of their faces again. Nia gives Stratton a light slap on the arm and reminds her that Bayley and Naomi are going after her (Jax’s) championship, so if Stratton loses the match for them, it might be a good idea for her to leave SmackDown. Tension has been building with them, and the queen isn’t hiding her displeasure.

Naomi and Bayley are in the locker room getting ready for their tornado tag team match. Bayley knows that Naomi, as well as herself, are not trying to leave SmackDown. The Role Model has been waiting for another crack at the gold since losing it at SummerSlam, while Naomi has been waiting to get a championship since her return. Naomi plans on giving Bayley a title opportunity if she beats Nia, while Bayley says she’ll throw a party, and The Girl with the Glow will be the first on the list to be invited! It’s clear here that the friendship between both women is strong, which will be crucial to their success in the match ahead.

Both teams make their way out to the ring, and the fight is on with all four females. Bayley and Naomi’s partnership pays dividends as they double team Jax into the turnbuckle. The heel duo eventually took control of the match during commercials, with Jax teasing a stinkface on Naomi, while Stratton beat on Bayley at ringside.

As the show returned from commercial, the babyface team had regained their footing. However, when the time came for Bayley to pin Tiffany, Naomi wouldn’t let her get the count. What appeared to be a disagreement between them is interrupted by an attack from Jax, but she once again gets double teamed. The final moments of the match come as Naomi surprisingly reversed an attempted powerbomb from the champion. Stratton would mistakenly hit her friend with a Swanton bomb, which led to Bayley and Naomi taking her out of the ring. Jax hitting a Samoan Drop on Bayley resulted in a controversial finish, as Naomi grabbed the queen’s legs for a pinfall while Bayley kept her shoulders down. Referee Jessika Carr would suddenly raise the hands of both women as a surprised Jax watched on, and Alicia Taylor announced the both of them as the winners.

After yet another commercial break, a vignette aired featuring Chelsea Green, and for once, she is not complaining to Nick Aldis, instead making her presence felt at a dumpster site; very iconic, very cutesy, very camp. She excitedly exclaims, “Looks like it’s time to take the trash out!”. Right after saying that, a bag of trash is thrown at her. Not very cute. Green retches and winces as she is forced to take in the smell of the trash that surrounds her. She also toys around with a crash dummy, with a picture of Michin slapped onto the head, taunting her as she hears some banging coming from inside the dumpster, but alas, it was a raccoon. The vignette finishes with Green warning Michin that she is going to pay for this.

Michael Cole explains that the vignette was Green “training” for a dumpster match against Michin; this match was made by Vickie Guerrero during her appearance last week on The SmackDown Lowdown, with Nick Aldis approving the idea. The dumpster match takes place in two weeks’ time on Friday Night SmackDown. Cole cannot wait for Green to be thrown inside of a dumpster.

Bayley and Naomi are now in Aldis’s office following the ending of the tornado tag team match, with both talking over each other in disagreement of the results. Aldis says that they both beat Nia and have a claim to the title shot, but what’s the solution? A one-on-one match next week where the winner will face Jax for the WWE Women’s Championship at Bad Blood on Saturday, October 5th.

Here is what’s set for next week on Friday Night SmackDown from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma:

  • Bayley vs. Naomi – winner will face Queen Nia Jax for the WWE Women’s Championship at Bad Blood on Saturday, October 5th

Also set up for Friday Night SmackDown on October 4th, from Nashville, Tennessee:

  • Chelsea Green vs. Michin in a Dumpster Match

Tonight’s SmackDown has Bad Blood implications:

Tornado Tag Team Match:

Nia Jax & Tiffany Stratton vs. Bayley & Naomi

(If Bayley & Naomi win, the person who scores the fall faces Nia Jax at Bad Blood. If Bayley & Naomi lose, the person who loses the fall must leave WWE SmackDown).

Masha Slamovich & Hardys Victorious In Main Event; NXT Talent Challenge for Knockouts Tag Titles

With Victory Road behind us, we are just about five weeks away until TNA heads to Bound for Glory. But, the fallout of last weekend carries over into tonight’s TNA Impact!

The show kicks off with former Knockouts World Tag Team Champion, Alisha Edwards, as she is fuming over her recent title loss. She calls out her former tag team partner, Masha Slamovich, and answers her call.

Slamovich arrives with a smile and meets Edwards in the ring. Edwards claims that she created Team Malisha and continues to lash out at her. Slamovich, who speaks English for the first time on Impact, says she’s sick of her and understands everything she says. But, before she can get another word out, Tasha Steelz takes her out from behind.

The new pairing of Steelz and Edwards continue to punish Slamovich with a kendo stick, but incomes TNA Knockouts World Champion, Jordynne Grace, to make the save. The System comes out to take control, but the Hardys come out to Slamovich and Grace’s aid.

The chaos comes to a halt as Santino Marella comes out to announce that Slamovich will team up with the Hardys against The System tonight. And next week, the NXT and TNA liaison, Arianna Grace announces that Grace will team up with a “best friend” of hers against the likes of Wendy Choo and Rosemary.

Grace catches Slamovich backstage and says throughout the string of open challenges, she had hoped Slamovich would challenge her someday. Slamovich says that she’ll see her soon, but focuses on tonight and professes to the Hardys how she’s living her dream by pairing up with them.

Next, the new Tag Champions, Spitfire, are in action tonight. The self-proclaimed “Miss NXT” comes out again and announces that they will defend their titles against some more “best friends” of hers. Their competition: NXT’s Kendal Grey and Carlee Bright.

Jody Threat and Grey start the match, and Grey attempts to withstand the offense of the newly crowned champions. Grey manages to get the hot tag to Bright, and both manage to take Dani Luna off her feet. Unfortunately for this NXT duo, it was a valiant effort as Grey gets slammed with the Pressure Drop for Spitfire to retain their titles.

Backstage, we catch Ash By Elegance who again meets new TNA Knockout, Heather Reckless. Reckless has been calling them to talk about a makeover, but exclaims that they are very busy. Despite the schedule, Reckless invites them to her match against Xia Brookside next week.

Next, we catch a glimpse of a new TNA Knockout, Lei Ying Lee, coming next week!

In our tag-team main event tonight, Steelz and Slamovich start off right where they left off and Slamovich gains the upper hand in the early goings of the match.

Steelz tries to get her hands on Matt Hardy, but Slamovich puts a stop to it for some Poetry in Motion. Slamovich takes it to the top rope and lands a rolling senton to The System on the outside.

Edwards tries to trip up the feet of Matt Hardy, but her interference gets her sent packing to the back by The ABC. Meanwhile, Slamovich takes out Steelz with a dive to the outside. This allows Jeff Hardy to hit the Swanton Bomb and take the win.

What did you think about tonight’s TNA Impact? What is in store for Slamovich’s future? Can Grace fend off Rosemary and Choo? And will Reckless finally get the makeover she’s looking for? Let us know in the comments below!

SmackDown Reportedly Moving To Three Hours Starting In 2025

It is being reported by WrestleVotes Radio that SmackDown will be moving to a three-hour time slot starting in January 2025. The show has officially moved to USA Network as of last week and is no longer on FOX.

The move to three hours in January is the same time that Raw will no longer be on USA Network and will head to Netflix. It was officially announced by WWE that Raw will be only two hours from Oct. 7 through December. It is unknown if it will go back to three hours once it hits Netflix.

As for NXT, it will be moving to the CW Network on Oct. 1 and it will no longer have that run over time it has now currently on the USA Network. So it will be strictly kept as two hours.

WWE has not confirmed the three hours for SmackDown at the time of this writing.

Alexa Bliss Does Voiceover In New “The Queen of Villains” Series

As of Sept. 19, The Queen of Villains is officially out on Netflix. The series follows Japanese legend Dump Matsumoto which explores her larger than life career and her rise during the golden age of women’s wrestling in Japan.

WWE’s Alexa Bliss has posted on her social media about the honor she feels to do voiceover work in the series. She voices Maki Ueda as the English voice cast for the show.

Bliss has been out of action since January 2023 and gave birth to her first child in November.

Spitfire In Action On Sept. 19 TNA

0

The newly crowned Knockouts World Tag Team Champions Spitfire, will be in action on this week’s TNA iMPACT!

https://twitter.com/thisistna/status/1836108200602480718?s=46&t=v8OuHNhsAGQ4dkv0nOKouA

At the most recent TNA event of Victory Road, Spitfire knocked off the team of Masha Slamovich and Tasha Steelz to win the tag titles for a second time. Steelz was filling in for an injured Alisha Edwards. After the match, Steelz attacks Slamovich with Edwards cheering her on.

Spitfire would have had to disband as a team per the match stipulations if they did not win the titles.

Also, what are we going to hear from Jordynne Grace? The Knockouts World Champion defeated NXT’s Wendy Choo at Victory Road, but I don’t think she is finished with Choo or Rosemary yet.

Yuka Sakazaki To Challenge Mariah May On Grand Slam Dynamite

After the actions that have taken place over the past couple of weeks, Yuka Sakazaki will be challenging Mariah May for the AEW Women’s World Title. It will take place next week on Sept. 25’s Dynamite at Grand Slam.

Sakazaki teamed with Queen Aminata on Sept. 18’s Dynamite against May and Serena Deeb. The match ended in a disqualification after the champ used the belt on Sakazaki. Sakazaki recently returned to an AEW ring after months out with an injury.

This will be May’s second title defense since defeating Toni Storm at All In. She successfully defended against Nyla Rose earlier this month.

You can watch May’s reaction below.
