Infighting Amongst The Women’s Division; Tiffany Stratton And Naomi Qualify For Money In The Bank

As we inch closer and closer to a weekend of Money in The Bank and NXT Heat Wave in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, WWE made a domestic stop tonight in New York City, turning Madison Square Garden into “Madison SmackDown Garden” for tonight’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown. Six of the blue brand’s female superstars battled it out in two triple threat matches, each with the same objective: qualifying for this year’s Money in the Bank ladder match.

Kayla Braxton made her final appearance on the show, trying to interview Nick Aldis as Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, and Kevin Owens were being taken away from The World’s Most Famous Arena by the NYPD for their attack on both The Bloodline and security at the start of the show, but Nick didn’t have time for words. And with that, Kayla is never to be seen again, with her last question missing an answer.

The first match of the night followed with one of the two women’s triple threat matches, this one between Jade Cargill, Tiffany Stratton, and Candice LeRae. Stratton and LeRae teamed up at the start of the match, working together to try and stop Cargill from gaining momentum. Cargill would soon reverse course, notably tossing LeRae onto Stratton on the outside. Nia Jax walked her way out to the ring, which led to Jade’s tag team partner Bianca Belair following suit. The two got into an argument right before the show cut to commercials.

Back from the break, with Nia and Bianca watching from opposite corners of the ringside area, Cargill had once again lost control of the match. At this point, the match became every woman for herself, with the three repeatedly pounding on each other and preventing them from stealing a victory. As Jax walked closer to a laid out Jade at ringside, Bianca would get into another argument with her, with the referee exiting the ring to try and maintain order between the two. Cargill got up, but would be pushed into the ring post by Indi Hartwell, who got chased to the back by Belair. The interference would backfire as Stratton hit a moonsault to get the pin on LeRae to enter the match.

The Buff Barbie is now headed to Toronto, Ontario, Canada, joining fellow blue brand female Chelsea Green plus Raw Superstars Iyo Sky and Lyra Valkyria on Saturday, July 6th. Not only that, but it appears her partnership with The Irresistible Force is finally coming to fruition, with the two celebrating at ringside.

Cameras immediately cut to Naomi backstage being joined by WWE Women’s Champion, Bayley. They talk briefly about how annoying it is that Tiffany has advanced, but the champ reassures the Girl with the Glow that she’s going to take care of business. While making sure Tiffany doesn’t win the match is on Naomi’s mind, her potential participation in the Money in the Bank ladder match also means she might have to cash in on her bestie’s title. The bonding moment is stopped by the presence of Blair Davenport, who tells the two that not only will Naomi not be winning the second qualifying match, but that she would hold her title real tight, if she were Bayley, because her days as champion are numbered.

Michin was backstage with Nick Aldis, demanding that he give her a match against Nia after her and Tiffany’s locker room attack on her last week. Aldis says he will think about it. She then exits his office while B-Fab and The Street Profits enter. The fab female tells Team Blue’s head honcho that Cody, Kevin, and Randy were sent home but the Profits are here and they need to get their hands on The Bloodline tonight. Aldis says a match is not happening tonight, as he promised them time for their Acknowledgment Ceremony later during the show, but he would consider a match for next week. Her appeal is cut off by Pretty Deadly, who tried to pitch “Pretty Deadly: The Musical”, but that gives B-Fab and the Profits a new idea that’s given an okay from the GM: “The Street Profits vs Pretty Deadly: The Beatdown”. It was revealed later in the show that said match would take place next week.

The second qualifying match then took place. With Indi Hartwell already in the ring, Blair Davenport and Naomi made their entrances. Like the first match, both Hartwell and Davenport tried to double team on Naomi, but she wouldn’t let them get the best of her so easily. Crowds are responding well to Blair, booing her before the show went to commercial. The action continued after and remained fast-paced from all three competitors, with each female getting some offense in but none of them being able to gain any sort of upper hand.

Jade Cargill came out to get a lick back on Hartwell for costing her the first qualifying match, which would finally turn the match in favor of Naomi, who secured a three count, thus finally rounding out the SmackDown side of the Money in the Bank ladder match.

TNA Knockouts Title Match Set For Slammiversary; ‘Malisha’ Outnumbers Xia Brookside

0

On tonight’s TNA Impact! the Knockouts are back in action tonight as we continue to set the field towards Slammiversary.

The show immediately kicks off with the TNA Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace, and she wants to address Ash By Elegance. Ash has been watching these Knockouts Championship matches and has been a thorn in Grace’s side for weeks now. After talking with Santino Marella last week, Grace wants to defend her title against Ash tonight.

George Iceman finds some loopholes in the contract and says that the title match will take place at Slammiversary. Ash sends the security after Grace, but Grace clears the personnel.

While Ash runs to the back, one-half of the Knockouts Tag Team Champions Masha Slamovich, accompanied by Alisha Edwards is in action tonight against Xia Brookside.

Slamovich’s strength edge tries to get the best of Brookside early on in the match, but Brookside’s quickness and agility keep Slamovich off her balance. However, Edwards gets involved, and Slamovich gains control of the rest of the match.

Brookside finds an opening and tries to power through for a comeback, but loses the numbers game as Edwards gets involved again. Slamovich hits the Snowplow and gains the win.

Next, Lars Frederiksen has a final test for Spitfire to get back on track. And it’s their biggest challenge yet as he tells both Dani Luna and Jody Threat that they will have to face each other one-on-one.

TNA will have their next set of tapings tomorrow on June 28. Grace will issue an open challenge. Last time this happened, NXT’s Tatum Paxley responded.

What did you think of tonight’s TNA Impact? Does Ash stand against Grace? Who will be the come out the better Spitfire member? Let us know below!

Mercedes Moné Speaks On WWE Reaching Out: ‘Don’t Go Back, Go Forward’

To promote this Sunday’s AEW Forbidden Door, TBS Champion Mercedes Moné sat down with BT and Sal of WFAN in New York to talk about the upcoming pay-per-view, her free agent status, and her schedule coming off a recent return.

Moné is asked about her WWE moniker Sasha Banks and her transition into no longer being referred to that.

“I love it. I love being able to go by my birth name, Mercedes. Because I’ve been wrestling for 14 years, and really 10 years in WWE, I was so used to hearing the name Sasha all the time. But, I’m not Sasha. I wasn’t born as Sasha. I don’t own the name as Sasha. So I can’t own that as a person. I can’t be that as a person. I don’t identify as her, as a person. But, Mercedes Moné went from a Legit Boss to a CEO, the boss of all bosses. This is who I was born to be. I am a CEO in my life, outside of wrestling. I’m a CEO inside of wrestling.”

Ever the opportunist, Moné talks about her role in The Mandalorian and reveals that trying to find time to film wasn’t so easy with her previous company.

“Even doing The Mandalorian was pulling teeth with the WWE to even try to get time off to film that show, so Tony (Khan) said whatever I need, if I need that private jet to go from filming in LA to coming for shows then it’s available for me.”

Before landing in AEW, Moné also revealed that many lucrative companies reached out to her, and deals were offered during her time as a free agent. One of them namely, WWE.

“WWE is WWE. And I was like do I go back? But, my heart was saying ‘Don’t go back, go forward.’ I just kept hearing that voice in my head. Keep going forward. And I’m like they keep offering me things and asking me to come back. And I’m like, Mercedes…go forward.”

She then goes on to say that it took about two years of conversations on where she wanted to be. She felt her choice was solidified when she attended AEW All In last year in London.

Moné goes on to defend her title and challenge Stephanie Vaquer for her NJPW Strong Women’s Championship at Forbidden Door. And says that Vaquer might surpass Bayley as being her favorite opponent of all time.

“We couldn’t speak the same language. But, just the universal language of wrestling, just from a lock-up alone. And you’re like…oh this girl is good.”

Lastly, to stir the pot a bit, Moné gets asked if she’s ever had bad ring chemistry with anyone. She admits to one or two unnamed individuals, who were very “dry” to work with. Carmella gets name dropped, but Moné shuts that down real quick.

“I had an amazing match with Carmella. We’ve had a great match before, we tore the house down. I’m talking about other people.”

Rhea Ripley & Buddy Matthews Get Married

0

We have another set of wrestling newlyweds as WWE’s Rhea Ripley and AEW’s Buddy Matthews have officially tied the knot.

Ripley posted the news on her Instagram with the caption, “Til Death” and lists their marriage date as June 23. The couple announced their engagement last August. They have been together since 2022.

Ripley has been out of action since April after successfully defending the Women’s World Championship against Becky Lynch at WrestleMania. Ripley had to relinquish the title due to injury. The title then went to Lynch after winning a Battle Royal, but is now held by Liv Morgan.

The latest news is that Ripley may be returning for SummerSlam.

Congratulations to the happy couple!

Tam Nakano To Team With Willow At Forbidden Door

It was mentioned on the June 26 episode of AEW Dynamite that there will be a women’s tag team match added to Forbidden Door. From the promo given by Kris Statlander, we knew her partner would be Momo Watanabe. It has now been confirmed that Willow Nightingale will have Tam Nakano as her partner.

Statlander and Nightingale face off against each other next Wednesday in an Owen Hart Cup seni-finals match, but their feud will be taken to Forbidden Door with former Wonder of Stardom Champions first!

This tag match will take place on the Zero Hour preshow.

Mina Shirakawa Overcomes The Outcasts; Moné Says ‘Hola’ To Vaquer

Tonight’s AEW Dynamite is the go-home show as the company breaks down the Forbidden Door this Sunday.

But before Dynamite can kick off tonight, Kris Statlander and Stokeley Hathaway have issued a challenge to former partner Willow Nightingale this Sunday at Forbidden Door.

In Women’s action, tonight we have a Trios Tag Team Match as the team of the freshly formed Outcasts go off to face “Timeless” Toni Storm, Mariah May, and Mina Shirakawa. The Outcasts ruined the contract signing for the AEW Women’s World Championship last week, and look to settle this grudge before Forbidden Door.

Both teams make their entrances, and we also see a familiar entrance, shades of Club Venus.

Shirakawa and Harley Cameron start the match off, and with a quick tag out to May look strong off the bat reminiscent of their Stardom days. However, May has trouble choosing who to tag out and unfortunately gets isolated for her troubles.

May manages to get even with Cameron and tags in Storm for the hot tag. But, Shirakawa forces the tag in and all chaos ensues. Shirakawa finally finds an opening to hit her finish and gains the win going into Forbidden Door.

Post-match, May wants to celebrate the win with her team with some champagne. But, Shirakawa has other plans and wants to knockout Storm with the champagne bottle. Sadly, Shirakawa misses her mark and hits May knocking her out. Shirakawa and Storm are both heated at each other, as they watch their helpless partner unconscious. The two go off to face each other at Forbidden Door for the AEW Women’s World Championship, now with blood in their eyes.

Next, we hear from TBS Champion Mercedes Moné as she defends and challenges NJPW Strong Women’s Champion in a title-for-title match at Forbidden Door this Sunday. After Moné’s altercation with Vaquer at CMLL this past weekend, both competitors are not willing to back down.

Vaquer is scheduled to face off against Lady Frost this Saturday on Collision, and Moné says she’ll watch the match closely ringside.

What did you think of tonight’s AEW Dynamite? Who will walk out as AEW Women’s World Champion? And who will walk out double Champion at Forbidden Door? Let us know your predictions below!

Liv Morgan & Zelina Vega Raw Segment Peaks Over 2 Million Viewers

0

If there was one individual who commanded this week’s Raw on June 24, it was certainly the Women’s World Champion, Liv Morgan.

Although she was involved in several segments throughout the show, it was her own segment that really brought in the views. According to Wrestlenomics, “Raw this week peaked at 2,074,000 viewers for the segment involving Liv Morgan, Dominik Mysterio, Rey Mysterio, and Zelina Vega, with over 330,000 extra viewers tuning in vs the previous quarter.”

This segment landed Vega challenging Morgan for the title. That match will take place next week.

Gabbi Tuft Returns To The Ring After A Decade At West Coast Pro Event

0

For the first time in a decade, former WWE talent Gabbi Tuft made her way back to the squared circle. She performed in the main event for West Coast Pro and was introduced as “Mother.” She faced J-Rod

Tuft has trained for months to get back in the ring. Some of her training came from The Dungeon with Natalya and Liv Morgan.

Lola Vice Steals NXT Women’s Championship! Two Matches Made For Heatwave

0

Hey everyone! The article for NXT is a little bit shorter than usual but we weren’t jam packed with content like our usual weekly content. Good stuff either way, let’s check it below!

First piece of content is a backstage segment with Karmen Petrovic watching a clip backstage with the rest of the locker room from the post match beat down between Lola and Roxanne. Perez calls Karmen out on feuding with Lola just a few weeks ago and now she’s giving her props. Petrovic shakes off the shade and tells the champ to watch her.

Roxanne Perez vs. Karmen Petrovic

Soon as the match is about to start, Lola Vice makes her entrance to join commentary letting Booker and Vic know “Nothing Roxanne does could ever hurt me”. The Champ is dominating pretty decisively here, which to be fair, I agree with. There was a really fun spot from Petrovic where Karmen rocked Perez for a hot minute, both me and Lola were gagged. The flurry was short lived though, PopRox for the win!

Winner: Roxanne Perez

Lola walks out to the ring, drops Perez with the 305 then walks out with the NXT Women’s Championship!!

Backstage interview with Kelani who wants to be a drama free champion! Not the most compelling motivation but the delivery was there. We cut to Jaida Parker after that who challenges Michin to a street fight, next week! See Michin’s response below

Another backstage segment where Izzi Dame throws some major shade to Brinley Reece about being this annoyingly positive pest. Harsh but someone had to say it, plus I enjoyed Dame’s vignette last week so looking forward to seeing this match next week.

#1 Contenders Match Arianna Grace vs Sol Ruca

Winner of this match will receive at a title shot at Heatwave next week! Incredibly fun offense here by Sol Ruca, I wouldn’t say the chemistry between these two performers were a natural fit but both shine in the character department to compensate for any miscommunications or timing issues. This is developmental after all. Sol Snatcher onto Grace for the win!

Winner: Sol Ruca

Roxanne Perez bursts into Ava’s office, convinced that Ava is orchestrating the entire situation. Meanwhile, the title bout against Lola Vice is scheduled for Heatwave. Really excited to see the match Perez pulls out of Vice!

Stevie Turner also had a few segments throughout the night with Robert Stone vying for the General Manager’s attention.

Kelani Jordan and Sol Ruca are ready and excited for their match at Heatwave. Personally the story here between Kelani and Sol being good girls, who play by the rules that are fighting for meritocratic division doesn’t do much to excite me, but hey that’s just me. On the other hand, Fallon Henley, Jacy Jayne, and Jazmyn Nyx appear to voice their frustrations about not receiving their opportunities. Interesting duality on display.

Otherwise, that’s pretty much it this week for NXT. I wouldn’t say it’s the best week, but not a bad one by any means either. Storylines continue to build going into Heatwave, but as of right now I can’t see anything changing hands. Maybe I’m wrong though, sound off in the comments with what you thought of the show!

Stephanie Vaquer To Make AEW Debut On June 29 Collision

Ahead of the huge clash between Stephanie Vaquer and Mercedes Moné at Forbidden Door this Sunday, Vaquer will make her debut for AEW. The CMLL talent and NJPW STRONG Women’s Champion will be in action on Collision this Saturday. She will be facing Lady Frost.

Vaquer and Moné will be in a Title for Title match on Sunday where one woman will walk out with two belts. Vaquer, who currently holds the NJPW STRONG Women’s Title is holding the gold that was once introduced for Moné. Moné had never held the title though as she was injured in the inaugural match against Willow Nightingale.

This match added to Collision makes three women’s matches on the card. Hikaru Shida vs. Deonna Purrazzo is set for an Owen Hart Cup first round bout and Serena Deeb will be issuing an open challenge.

Upcoming AEW matches/segements:

June 26, Dynamite –

  • Saraya, Harley Cameron, and Anna Jay vs. Toni Storm, Mariah May, and Mina Shirakawa
  • Mercedes Moné talks

June 29, Collision (taping June 26) –

  • Serena Deeb issues open challenge
  • Owen Hart Cup Match – Hikaru Shida vs. Deonna Purrazzo
  • Stephanie Vaquer vs. Lady Frost

June 30, Forbidden Door –

  • AEW TBS Championship AND NJPW STRONG Women’s Championship Title for Title: Mercedes Moné (c) vs. Stephanie Vaquer (c)
  • AEW Women’s World Title: Toni Storm (c) vs. Mina Shirakawa

Shayna Baszler Returning To Bloodsport In July

0

It has been confirmed that WWE’s Shayna Baszler will make her return to Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport XI on July 28 in Brooklyn, New York.

Barnett is Baszler’s trainer in both MMA and wrestling.

Baszler made shocking news when she attended Bloodsport X in April in a match against TNA’s Masha Slamovich. The news of a WWE talent taking on an indie show booking was quite unique. Baszler would go on to win that exchange with Slamovich.

At this time, an opponent for Baszler has not been confirmed for the July event.

Dakota Kai Wants Her Solo Moment On A WWE PLE

0

WWE talent Dakota Kai has had a lot of special moments in her career, mostly as part of the Damage CTRL stable. She is a former multi-time WWE and NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion, but where is her solo successes?

Kai has the chance to enter the Money in the Bank Ladder Match on July 6 but has to win her qualifying match next week against Zoey Stark and Ivy Nile. She took to social media stating she wants that solo accomplishment.

“I’ve yet to have my moment as a solo competitor on a PLE. I really think it’s about time we make that happen.”

If Kai does qualify then this will be her first Money in the Bank Ladder match. Currently qualified are IYO SKY, Chelsea Green, and Lyra Valkyria.

Zelina Vega To Challenge For The Women’s World Title! Damage CTRL Attacks The Unholy Union

0

Hey everyone! Miss ya’ll last week, but Phonie is back for another Raw recap! What a show last night too, let’s get right into it.

MITB Qualifying Match: Kairi Sane vs. Lyra Valkyria vs. Shayna Baszler
We’ve got a qualifier full of former NXT Champions and all three delivered a stellar performance. Shayna’s frustration in not being able to secure a pivotal victory these last few months is on display in her performance. Kairi, whose been adjusting to the learning curve of being back in a WWE ring since her return, is in full form here! Reminding everyone why we fell in love with Sane in the first place. It’s Lyra though who would eventually end up scoring the win after an action packed finishing sequence. The crowd was firmly behind the action as evident with the This Is Awesome chants, another incredible triple threat to set up the women’s Money In The Bank ladder match!
Winner: Lyra Valkyria

Liv Morgan is walking backstage about to head to the ring, she’s notably wearing a “Daddy’s Girl” tee. When we get back from the commercial, Morgan is in the ring to call out Dom Dom, cooing how even though he’s playing hard to get, the end game is worth the result. She references the gifts she sent Judgment Day including the risque text she sent earlier in the night then asked Daddy Dom to come out to receive one more gift

Zelina Vega responds instead and she’s out to shut Morgan the hell up. Vega brings attention to the fact that while Liv’s out here pining for Dirty D, she’s eyeing the Women’s World Title and then we get a savage back and forth with Zelina’s quips getting a great reaction from the audience.

Dirty Dom is out next and he really doesn’t get a ton of words in as the audience refuses to let him get a word in. We get a “Sloppy Seconds” chant towards Liv/Dom, which got a cackle out of me, this promo is incredibly entertaining to watch. Zelina’s going hard on the mic but Liv is NOT wavering, she’s set on dirty D. To end the segment we see Rey Mysterio come out to Zelina aid leading Dom to “inadvertently” helping Liv.

It continues backstage too! Credit to Morgan bc she’s completely thrown herself into a character that’s really teetering on a line WWE hasn’t pushed this hard since pre-revolution days. We’ve seen glimpses of salacious “Diva” moments here and there in the modern era but to see the Women’s World Champion in this role definitely invokes a strong feeling of “Is this the kind of character I want leading the division??” Which I feel makes compelling TV. Well done by everyone involved.

Chad Gable earns his ways into the Men’s MITB match but as soon as he starts to celebrate the lights flicker and I get my first introduction to the Wyatt Sicks!! Nikki Cross (Abby the Witch) crawls into the ring, creeps Gable out enough to scare him out of the ring, presents a package to Michael Cole and then makes her way out of the arena. This is far more compelling to watch than I’m giving it justice.

Interesting to note earlier in the night when Chad Gable was entering the arena, on a WWE production truck there was an image of Alexa Bliss front and center donning her “Lilly” era attire.

Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn Vs Kaden Carter & Katana Chance
Matching gear from both teams!! That’s always a strong way to start off the match and the action picks up fast!! We get a “golden era” style match with the performer maximizing the 5 minutes they were given here but all in all, a solid showing from both teams with Alba & Isla winning the match decisively. I feel like I’ve been trained from the previous regime to expect the champs to take an L in a non-title bout, but I was happy to see the champions coming out of this match looking strong.
Winners: Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn

Damage Control is out though to wreak havoc and take over the women’s tag team division. Let’s see how this pans out for the trio, personally I was a fan of Iyo starting to move away from the group but happy to see how this plays out and it means the tag division stay active.

The Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan ends the show after getting involved in the main event on Judgment Day’s behalf, helping JD and Finn win the Tag Team Championships.

Great show all around, with compelling stuff for each of the performers that received screen time. I’m missing my girl Kiana James though, I know she took an L last week but I was hoping to see some follow up to her storyline with Adam Pearce. Always missing Nattie too who isn’t even getting a triple threat qualifier, but otherwise a great week for the women. Next week we’ll see Dakota vs. Ivy Nile vs. Zoey Stark for the final women’s qualifiers as well as a Women’s World Title Match between Liv Morgan vs. Zelina Vega. The Alexa Bliss tease definitely got my excited for her hopefully imminent return and selfishly I want to see her on the red brand. Fingers crossed Little Miss Bliss is back by SummerSlam!

Sound off in the comments and feel free to join us in the live chat tonight for NXT!

Lyra Valkyria Added To MITB, Last Qualifying Match Confirmed

Lyra Valkyria scores the third spot in the women’s Money in the Bank Ladder match as we are looking for a total of six.

Valkyria qualified as of the June 24 episode of Raw in a Triple Threat. The match also included Kairi Sane and Shayna Baszler.

The final sequence of the bout had Valkyria locked in Baszler’s Kirifuda Clutch. Valkyria was able to counter it enough for Sane to land the InSane Elbow on Baszler to break the hold. Valkyria immediately capitalized with Night Wing on Sane for the win.

Next week it has been confirmed that the last Triple Threat will be between Zoey Stark vs. Ivy Nile vs. Dakota Kai. The winner will be the sixth and final woman added to the MITB ladder match and join the already included Valkyria, IYO SKY, and Chelsea Green.

The other two women from SmackDown will be determined this Friday as Naomi vs. Blair Davenport vs. Indi Hartwell face off while Candice LeRae vs. Jade Cargill vs. Tiffany Stratton also takes place.

Update On Rhea Ripley’s Injury, Possible Return Status

0

Rhea Ripley has been out of action since successfully defending the Women’s World Championship at WrestleMania XL in April. She has been out with a shoulder injury. The title now belongs to Liv Morgan who has been on a revenge tour to take everything that was once Mami’s.

But when may Mami return?

Fightful Select has reported the following:

Rhea Ripley before WWE SummerSlam? That’s the internal hope from WWE.

The dominant Rhea Ripley was sidelined in April with a shoulder injury that forced her to vacate the World Championship. However, she’s been constantly referenced on TV by Liv Morgan and Judgment Day, setting the table for when she returns.

There had been reports that Rhea Ripley wasn’t scheduled for WWE SummerSlam. However, WWE sources had indicated that they have things constructed that Ripley can slide in and return to the program whenever she’s ready, even in a non-wrestling capacity.

There have already been discussions internally about her being involved in the World Title program upon her return, as that would be logical considering where she left off. However, a WWE source that Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful spoke with said that the story available at the time of her return will dictate what programs she’s in, as many creative decisions have been made in her absence that still involve her.

We’ve not been told if there are any active creative plans in order, or if the company has inquired with Ripley, only that there was a hope that she could appear on screen in some capacity ahead of SummerSlam if all went well.

Chelsea Green Wants To Win MITB And Change The Women’s Title Back To The Divas Title

0

Chelsea Green is a Diva!

On SmackDown, Green defeated both Bianca Belair and Michin to qualify for her spot in this year’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match. She took to her social media over the past day to confirm she will be winning in her motherland of Canada and wants to cash in on Bayley.

She followed this up by saying she will start a petition to change the Women’s Title back to tbe Divas Title. Because, well, why not? Chelsea in the Bank is for the Divas!

Wrestling Promo Meets Canada’s Drag Race

Canada’s Drag Race is set to announce its start date and cast reveal this Wednesday for Canada vs. The World Season 2. It appears to have a start date of July 19 but will be confirmed this week.

For those that aren’t familiar with Drag Race or even the “vs. The World” version, there is rumored to be nine Drag Queens on this season. The “vs. The World” format is similar to an All Stars format which means these will be returning queens. The difference between a U.S. All Stars and a “vs. The World” is international queens participate together. The show is hosted by Brooke Lynn Hytes who was the runner up on the United States version for Season 11.

The preview of the cast announcement can be seen below and it is a wrestling theme. This does not mean the actual show will have any wrestling challenge to it, but if it does, it will not be the first time in Drag Race herstory.

In 2011, for Rupaul’s Drag Race Season 4, the queens did have a wrestling challenge. You can view this below which even came with promos that the queens had to deliver before getting into the ring.

Former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Peyton Royce (Cassie Lee) and current NXT Superstar Shawn Spears have welcome into the world their second child. The couple gave birth to their first child back in January 2023.

Now Haley Dean, a second boy, has been added to the growing family as of June 21.

Lee came back to wrestling shortly in between children as she became the WSW Women’s Champion in Australia. Spears has returned to WWE on its NXT brand just a few months ago. He was previously with AEW.

Diva Dirt sends our congratulations to the growing family.

Women’s Tag Team Match Added To June 24 Raw

The Unholy Union have their first match after winning the championships at Clash at the Castle from Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair. This match is against former champions Kayden Carter and Katana Chance.

It does not state the gold is on the line.

Since winning the tag team gold, Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre have already had the eyes of Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark on them. Belair and Cargill have also mentioned getting their titles back. However, every tag team is going to want to earn a title shot. If the KC’s are to win then this would put them in position to fight for the titles.

Also already set for Raw is a Triple Threat to qualify for the Money in the Bank. It will be Shayna Baszler vs. Kairi Sane vs. Lyra Valkyria.
