Roxanne Perez is the NXT Women’s Champion, but if this wasn’t a tag team match at Sunday’s Halloween Havoc, we would have had a new champion.
At Halloween Havoc, Perez and Cora Jade teamed up to face Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer. And it was Vaquer who scored the win for her team as she pinned the champion. Giulia failed to capture the NXT Women’s Title from Perez at No Mercy thanks to Jade’s return. Now that Vaquer has pinned the champion, she is likely the next number one contender.
However, newcomer Zaria made an appearance with a stare down to the women in the ring to show she has arrived. And it wouldn’t be the first time she appeared at Halloween Havoc ….
ECW Original Dawn Marie will be the special guest referee on NXT in the former 2300 ECW Arena on Nov. 6. This will be a special Wednesday night episode of NXT.

On Nov. 2, also known as Day of the Dead, AEW is set for its own Day of the Dead match. Thunder Rosa will be taking on Harley Cameron next Saturday on Collision.
Cameron has been focused on Rosa ever since Rosa punched her in the face last week. On the Oct. 26 episode of Collision, Cameron showed off her new face paint as she mocked Rosa. Rosa wasn’t impressed and would later announce that she would be facing Cameron in a Dia De Los Muertos match.
This is the second women’s match booked for the Nov. 2 Collision as Mariah May will be defending the AEW Women’s World Title against Anna Jay. Jay defeated Viva Van on this Saturday’s Collision.
Also on this week’s Collision, Penelope Ford returned to the ring in nearly two years as she defeated Robyn Renegade. Ford takes on Jamie Hayter on the Nov. 6 Dynamite.
The union between TNA’s Rosemary and NXT’s Wendy Choo is now a thing of the past.
For several weeks now, Rosemary and Choo have been connected as a tag team between TNA and NXT. On Saturday at Bound for Glory, they took on the TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Champions Spitfire in a losing effort.
The final moments of the match was a misscomunnicatiion between Rosemary and Choo which had Rosemary hitting her tag partner accidentally. This led to the finish as Spitfire hit a a tag team finisher to pin Choo.
Rosemary not pleased with the loss, speared her own partner Choo post match.
On Oct. 26, TNA’s Bound for Glory event is taking place. On the pre-show, the newly formed team Ash by Elegance and Heather Reckless took on Xia Brookside and NXT’s Brinley Reece.
The finish of the match came with Ash hitting a senton onto Reece for the victory for the Elegance team.

Momo Watanabe is the next challenger for Mayu Iwatani’s IWGP Women’s Championship.
A title that hasn’t had many defenses since Iwatani has won it, has been held by her for 553 days and counting. Iwatani defeated Mercedes Moné to become champion. Her last defense was in early October against Toni Storm.
The challenge by Watanabe happened on Oct. 26 during the Goddess of Stardom Tag League. Iwatani and Momo Kohgo successfully defeated AZM and Miyu Amasaki under the Red Goddesses block, earning themselves two points.
During the victory celebration, Watanabe entered the ring to confront the champion. She initially called out Iwatani for defeating her in the recent 5 Star Grand Prix by using her bat. A verbal assault escalated into a vicious attack as she attacked Mayu with that same bat. Watanabe then made her challenge for the IWGP Women’s Championship at the upcoming NJPW x STARDOM Historic X-Over II show in November.
Harley Cameron took on Kris Statlander last week on Collision. On this week’s Rampage, Cameron was being interviewed by Renee Paquette. Paquette pointed out the rough week that Cameron has had in regard to losing to Statlander and then being punched in the face by Thunder Rosa.
Cameron responds with a “big deal” as she asks Paquette if she’s ever lost to Statlander and then been punched in the face by Rosa. Anyway….
Cameron address Rosa and says, “La Mera Mera, more like Not La Mera Mera” while adding that Rosa is smitten with the wrong kitten. She says anything Rosa can do, she can do. When asked by Paquette to elaborate, Cameron said “you’ll see.”
WWE Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan and WWE Women’s Champion Nia Jax had a face-to-face. Morgan was accompanied by Dominik Mysterio. She discussed facing Jax at WWE Crown Jewel. Tiffany Stratton interrupted and said it’s going to be Tiffy Time at Crown Jewel, as she stated that she would cash in. Stratton and Morgan went back and forth, and Stratton hit Morgan. Nick Aldis came out and announced a match between the two.
Liv Morgan def. Tiffany Stratton. Nia Jax attacked Morgan after the match.
Friday Night SmackDown aired on USA Network this week from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
A scene from earlier today aired on the show as Tiffany Stratton was in the locker room when Nia Jax arrived to ask her if she enjoyed her “vacation”. Stratton tells her friend that if she could have showed up last week, she would have, but she’s here now and will help Nia with anything she needs. The Women’s Champion says that she can’t get Naomi off her back, as Naomi is looking for a fight, so she is now looking for someone who can face her. When Stratton immediately says she’ll do the job, Jax politely declines and reveals that she has already found someone – Candice LeRae. The Queen of the Ring winner notes that she stepped up last week when she pinned Bayley, something the Buff Barbie hasn’t done. Candice and Indi Hartwell enter the shot and Tiffany gets sour-faced. LeRae tells Jax that she is going to be taking care of the “Naomi problem” for her, and that “Tiffy” can just relax. Stratton appears to be annoyed by what has just happened as the other heels leave the area.
Naomi and Candice made their entrances for what is their first time ever squaring off one-on-one. The Poison Pixie took control of the match early on, hitting some takedowns over Naomi as Hartwell watched on from ringside. The Girl with the Glow would begin to gain some momentum, but just like last week, the sneaky Hartwell would interfere – this week being Naomi’s turn to eat the ring post – as the referee tended to LeRae inside the ring. The move would backfire as Bayley’s music began to play in the arena, and The Role Model hit the ground running! Attacking Hartwell and throwing her into a barricade near the entrance stage, the commotion was enough to distract the current Speed Women’s Champion into a pinning combination by Naomi. With Bayley raising her hand, the friendship between them is as strong as ever. Jax is not likely to be content with LeRae and Hartwell failing in their mission; perhaps it wasn’t a bad idea after all for Tiffany to take on Naomi.
Also of note: A very brief Sasha Banks mention! Michael Cole spoke of the importance of the Barclays Center to Bayley’s career as she ran out to ringside, due to it being the venue where she won the NXT Women’s Championship, her first singles championship in WWE, against Banks at Takeover: Brooklyn in August 2015.
The tandem of Chelsea Green and Piper Niven, Damage CTRL, and Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson of Meta Four are arguing backstage when Nick Aldis, Raw general manager Adam Pearce, and NXT general manager Ava show up with Women’s Tag Team Champions Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill. Each brand’s authority figures agree that the three teams have been at each other’s throats on all three shows lately, which is why they think it is a good idea to nip it in the bud and end it once and for all by booking the three teams plus the champions in a fatal four-way tag team match for the Women’s Tag Team Championships at Crown Jewel on Saturday, November 2nd. Belair and Cargill love the idea, with the other teams now confident that it is now their time to win the titles.
Here’s what set to take place next week on Friday Night SmackDown:
Nia Jax and Liv Morgan go face-to-face ahead of Crown Jewel
Bianca Belair vs. IYO SKY vs. Piper Niven vs. Lash Legend in a fatal four-way match

This week’s TNA Xplosion has a combination of TNA and NXT talent.
The team that will take on Ash and Heather By Elegance on the Bound for Glory pre-show this Saturday, Xia Brookside and NXT’s Brinley Reece, will face NXT’s Carlee Bright and Kendal Grey.
This match is available as of today on TNA+ and will be available on YouTube this upcoming Tuesday.
Penelope Ford has been added to the AEW Collision card for this Saturday as she will be taking on Robyn Renegade. This will be Ford’s first match in almost two years.
Ford made her return a number of week’s ago and attacked Jamie Hayter. She will face Hayter in two weeks on Dynamite.
Becky Lynch took to her social media to post for the first time in a good while. Her last post was in August to hype up her biography episode on A&E.
Lynch states that she will be at the upcoming Vulture Festival on Nov. 17. While there she will talk about her book, her career, and maybe what’s next.
Lynch hasn’t been on WWE TV since losing a rematch for the Women’s World Title against Liv Morgan in May. She has since become a free agent as it was reported that a new contract at that time wasn’t signed. Her current status is unknown.
On this week’s ROH TV episode, the ROH Women’s World Champion Athena was on the heels of another victory and had a Championship Celebration. This time she defeated Gisele Shaw at Maple Leaf Pro last weekend. She is also approaching 700 days as champion.
During the celebration, Athena was presented with a cocky new title belt that spins and has a picture of her in the center. Despite this, the champion wasn’t happy with her party and blamed Billie Starkz for the lackluster affair and called her jealous. As Starkz left the celebration, Abadon’s music hit. The segment ended with Abadon smashing Athena’s face into the cake.
Natalya opens up about wrestling her career with essentially one eye.
Over the summer, the long time veteran took time off around her contract renewal. She would go on to renew her contract, but she was off screen for a total of three months.
While speaking with The Takedown On SI, Nattie talks about being legally blind in one eye.
”I don’t think even really anybody in WWE knew about it, because I kept it pretty secretive. I was born with astigmatism…I was legally blind in my left eye.”
It was hard to address this issue years ago as the technology wasn’t as advanced as it is today.
”They didn’t have the technology to fix it. I didn’t qualify for LASIK because of how my eye was shaped. At that time, the procedure they had for a lens implant, because of the shape of my eye, I didn’t qualify for.”
She continues, “I had a little time ofd this summer in between my contract re-signing. I was like, if I had this time off, I’m going to ask WWE if I can get this fixed because I went and found an eye doctor. Newsom Eye in Tampa. They had the technology that they didn’t hve before.”
Natalya had EVO ICL implant surgery and she also had her right eye worked on so that both eyes were equal to each other.
The veteran returned to the ring on the Sept. 9 edition of Raw after three months out of the ring. She has returned as a babyface despite teasing being a heel with Sonya Deville before her exit.
It’s time to once again cross the line tonight on TNA Impact! as this Saturday marks the company’s biggest show of the year, Bound for Glory.
First, Ash By Elegance and her personal concierge George Iceman are holding a VIP Launch Party By Elegance to showcase the transformation of the newest Knockout, Heather Reckless. In a spitting image of Ash, Heather re-debuts as “Heather By Elegance.”
Xia Brookside appears to crash the party and warns them that after what they did to NXT’s Brinley Reece, karma will come to bite them in the back. Speak of the devil, Reece catches them from behind almost sending them crashing into the table. With Ash and Heather too busy fixing their makeup, this is prime time for Brookside and Reece to send them drowning in champagne.
The two teams, Ash and Heather vs. Brinley and Xia will clash on the Bound for Glory pre show.
Up next, NXT’s Wendy Choo is up against one-half of the Knockouts Tag Team Champions, Jody Threat. Choo and Rosemary’s partnership has grown over the past few months and now pose a threat to Spitfire’s titles come Bound for Glory.
Threat goes at it alone tonight but is seemingly disturbed by Choo’s presence. The Wild Child manages to face her fears and sends Choo to the outside. Rosemary attempts to get involved, allowing for for Choo to send her crashing into the ring post.
Choo is in control and Threat attempts to fire through, but both get caught in the middle with clashing crossbodies. Both are on an even playing field, but Threat’s tenacity manages to out-power Choo. It’s looking worse for wear for Choo, but Rosemary throws in a pillow as a distraction allowing Choo to pick up the win.
To cap off the night, a Double World Title Contract Signing is held as the TNA Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace sets to make her title match official against Masha Slamovich at Bound for Glory. Meanwhile, Joe Hendry, who has similar title aspirations as Slamovich, challenges Nic Nemeth for the TNA World Title at the pay-per-view.
Slamovich shes said everything that was on her mind, and tonight marks 3 years since she signed with TNA, and this contract now signifies the day she’ll beat Grace. Our Knockouts World Champion states that nothing has changed and that she’ll beat Slamovich yet again as they sign the dotted line. Respect isn’t lost between the two, as all four send Frankie Kazarian crashing through a table.
What did you think about tonight’s go-home show? Will an NXT superstar hold some Knockouts gold? Can Slamovich finally knock Grace off her pedestal? Let us know your predictions in the comment below!
The Prodigy, Roxanne Perez, has made it to 200 days as NXT Women’s Champion as of Oct. 23. This is her second reign being one of only three women to win the belt on two occasions (Shayna Baszler and Charlotte Flair being the other two). In her first reign, Perez had held the title for 108 days.
Perez won the title for this second time from Lyra Valkyria at Stand & Deliver in April. Since then she has successfully defended against Valkyria, Natalya, Tatum Paxley, Jaida Parker, Chelsea Green, Lola Vice, Thea Hail, Jordynne Grace, and most recently, Giulia. She has had eight title defenses in over six months.
Currently, Perez is set to team with Cora Jade to take on Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer this weekend at Halloween Havoc. With that time frame and waiting for her next opponent for the title, The Prodigy will likely move into fourth place of most combined days as champion surpassing Flair if this were to occur.
What have been some of your favorite Perez defenses so far in this title run?
AEW Dynamite is in Salt Lake City, Utah tonight and after a busy week with Battle of the Belts taking place, the women look to continue where they left off.
At Battle of the Belts, the AEW Women’s World Champion, Mariah May, had lost to Anna Jay in an Eliminator Match earning her a title shot. Renee Paquette looks to get a word with her, but May says Jay doesn’t belong in the ring and the locker room with her and proceeds to send her luggage flying. An interesting catfight ensues between the two but gets broken up quickly.
Next, Jamie Hayter is backstage to address the comments that a returning Penelope Ford has made about her. Hayter responds and in two weeks from tonight on Dynamite, she wants to make Ford her victim.
Scheduled tonight, Queen Amina is set to face off against “The Brickhouse” Kamille. After an unsuccessful attempt at the Mercedes Moné’s TBS Championship, Aminata looks to settle the score with the enforcer who had cost her the title match.
In the early goings of the match Kamille tries to attack her with a lariat, but Aminata kicks out at a count of one. It almost seems as if Kamille has met an even match, and Aminata attempts to cover her only to get a one count as well.
Aminata tries to fight back and Kamille meets a nasty elbow to the face, followed up with a neckbreaker. The Queen strikes her opponent through the ropes and meets Moné on the apron sending her a message.
Kamille powers her way through, and Moné tells her to finish Aminata once and for all and picks up the win. Post-match, in comes Kris Statlander to confront the winner and her opponent next week. “The CEO” attempts to strike Statlander from behind, but is unshaken. Statlander then proceeds to take out Moné and trade blows with Kamille. Unfortunately, Moné hooks up Statlander allowing the Moné Corporation to stand tall at the end of the night.
What did you think of tonight’s AEW Dynamite? Can Statlander get past The Brickhouse? Will Ford accept the challenge? Let us know your thoughts below!
Hey everyone, we’re back with another edition of NXT and last night’s show was jam-packed with action! The NXT women’s division has always made a strong argument for being the strong women’s division across all brands and last night was a shining example as to why. Let’s dive right in!
Damage CTRL vs. Meta Girls
The match kicked off with Sane hitting a running dropkick on Jackson before tagging in Sky for stereo basement dropkicks. Jackson fought back, sending Sky into the corner, and Legend came in to dominate, even lifting both Sky and Sane simultaneously to bounce them off the ropes. Sane managed to slow Legend down with a sleeper hold, leading to Sky hitting an Asai moonsault to the outside. After the break, Sane connected with a Blockbuster and a top rope forearm on Jackson, but Legend’s pump kick shifted the momentum. Piper Niven’s interference led to the match ending in a No Contest as Chelsea Green joined in.
Winners: No Contest (due to interference)
Piper Niven and Chelsea Green’s interference halted the match, leading to a chaotic finish as the Meta Girls and Damage CTRL were caught off guard by the sudden involvement.
Jaida Parker vs. Tatum Paxley
Paxley started strong with a rollup but Parker quickly took control, hitting a sitdown splash and cranking on Paxley’s arms. Paxley fought back with a facebuster and a modified Angle Slam for a near fall. Parker countered a rollup with running hip attacks to score the victory.
Winner: Jaida Parker
Lola Vice had to be held back from getting into it with Parker, and Wendy Choo made a surprising appearance by kidnapping Paxley, leaving everyone shocked.
Sol Ruca vs. Karmen Petrovic
Ruca dominated early, grounding Petrovic before showing off with some surfing on her back. Petrovic’s superkick earned a near fall, but Ruca hit a Codebreaker to turn the tide. Petrovic nearly had Ruca with an Iconoclasm, but Ashante Thee Adonis and a mystery woman distracted her, allowing Ruca to hit the Sol Snatcher for the win.
Winner: Sol Ruca
The distraction by Adonis and a mystery woman played a pivotal role, shifting the momentum back to Ruca, who capitalized with her finishing move for the win.
Stephanie Vaquer & Giulia vs. Fatal Influence
Giulia overpowered Henley early on, with Vaquer following up by slamming Henley’s face into the mat. Jayne briefly took control for Fatal Influence, but Giulia fought back with a basement dropkick, leading to Vaquer’s hot tag to clean house. The match broke down into chaos, with interference from Jazmyn Nyx, but Kelani Jordan’s timely save allowed Giulia to hit a package backbreaker for the win.
Winners: Stephanie Vaquer & Giulia
Roxanne Perez and Cora Jade made their presence felt with a staredown, and Fatal Influence spun the wheel for their upcoming match, revealing “Spinner’s Choice” as the stipulation. Zaria debuted, capping off an exciting finish to the show.
The current NJPW STRONG Women’s Champion Mercedes Moné needs a new opponent for her title. That number one contender will be determined in a four way match set for Nov. 8 at the NJPW Fighting Spirit Unleashed event.
The competitors in the match will be AEW’s Anna Jay, STARDOM’s Hazuki, STARDOM’s Koguma, and ROH’s Trish Adora.
Who do we think will be the future opponent for Moné?
After weeks of vignettes for who we knew as DELTA, will now be know as ZARIA. The Australian talent will debut at Halloween Havoc this Sunday.
It is not know at this time if she will just make an appearance, have a match, or who an opponent would be at the time of this writing.
ZARIA did make an appearance at the end of the Oct. 22 episode of NXT. As time ran out of the show, she appeared on stage with commentary yelling that she was here.
