WWE.com Highlights AJ Lee’s Love for the Divas Title

WWE.com has released a new photo gallery of shots demonstrating AJ Lee‘s affection for her Divas Championship.

We all know AJ loves her title, even getting a tattoo to commemorate the date she won it, but now AJ has given WWE.com some quotes about her “baby” to further illustrate her attachment.

“They’re personal conversations between me and my child,” AJ said, referring to being spotted talking to her Championship.

The gallery contains several photos of AJ kissing her title belt and holding it tightly against her chest. On that, she said, “I just reassure it. I just reassure it it’s not going anywhere.”

AJ has definitely shown she’s not ready to lose her belt anytime soon and feels the need to keep her belt safe.

“It’s scared anytime it’s around The Bellas or Kaitlyn or any of those girls,” Lee said, “But it’s going to stay here forever and ever.”

Yikes! WWE.com has certainly succeeded in making AJ seem even more imbalanced! After hearing this, one has to wonder if AJ Lee could go on to be the longest reigning Divas Champion ever.

You can view the full gallery on WWE.com.

Do you think AJ Lee’s Divas Championship reign will break the record?

Video: ‘Total Divas’ Stars Appear on the ‘Steve Harvey Show’

Leading up to this Sunday’s return of Total Divas, Cameron, Naomi, Brie and Nikki Bella appeared on the Steve Harvey Show to give new viewers a crash course on the reality show.

Steve singled out Cameron for her apparent temper issues, speculating that she was about to kick his ass.

Naomi said that they were “frenemies” with Brie and Nikki, as once they get to the arena, it’s all business and competition.

Brie hints at a storyline from one of the upcoming episodes, claiming that the Funkadactyls stole their entrance. Cameron is quick to respond, saying that their entrances are night and day.

Steve decides to settle the score by letting them demonstrate their similar entrances. Brie and Nikki do the “Bella booty shake”, while Cameron and Naomi do the “booty rise up”.

Eve Torres Talks Life After WWE, Returning to the Ring

30

WWE.com recently caught up with former Diva Eve Torres. The three-time Divas Champion has been pretty silent since departing from the WWE, but spoke up about a lot of questions that have been on fans’ minds.

On staying busy since leaving the WWE: “Well, aside from building a house and planning a wedding and all of that real-life stuff that I’ve finally gotten around to, I’ve been teaching a lot of women’s self-defense classes at the Gracie Academy. Since January, I’ve pretty much been teaching Gracie Women Empowered self-defense full-time, working with women from all walks of life. We’ve got grandmas in there, we’ve got mothers with their daughters, and we’ve had several contracts with the U.S. Air Force.

Also, this summer I actually filmed my first movie. I did a really fun fight scene in [“Scorpion King: The Lost Throne”], which will be coming out next year. I was so excited to be a part of it. Ellen Hollman is the actress I worked with, and she is just incredible. We got to incorporate some wrestling stuff, too. I pulled out some of my old tricks in there. It was a lot of fun to shoot.”

On teaching a self-defense class to the current crop of WWE Divas: “WWE actually reached out to me. I went to the WWE Performance Center [in Orlando] and worked with the NXT Divas down there. That’s how it started. WWE wanted me to work with the NXT Divas, talk to them about my experiences in WWE and also teach them a seminar. Then they said, while I’m there, because Raw and SmackDown were so close, that I could teach the girls on the main roster as well.

This is something I had always wanted to do even when I was with WWE, but we’re all so busy and schedules are so crazy that I’m glad I finally had an opportunity to do it. I know all of those girls have been in situations similar to what happened to me because it happens so often. They’re traveling a lot, they’re all beautiful women and they have to face so many situations that the average man doesn’t really even have to think about. So it’s not only about educating them about how to be aware and present themselves, and how to not be a target in the first place; it’s also about instilling them with confidence based in these techniques, so they really feel like they can address the situation if they have to. And they have a plan to fall back on if they really have to.”

On being part of the WWE in a non-wrestling capacity: “When I left WWE, it was, of course, one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make. But I really feel like WWE is a part of me. I do want to be involved whenever I can. Of course I can’t go back on the road, I’m not going to be having matches or anything like that, but any way I can represent WWE, any capacity in which I can contribute and still live the life I have chosen now, I’m excited to do that.”

Would she return to the ring? “I knew that question was coming [laughs]. The truth is, I get asked that question all the time, and I really can say that, right now, I don’t see it happening. But I know myself enough to know that I’m not going to sit here and say that it’s never going to happen. I just don’t know what the next few years will bring. Like I said, if things go as planned in my life, and I start a family or anything like that, then probably not. But who knows? There are people who have families and still come back. Right now I don’t see it coming, but I still have dreams about matches, I will tell you that.”

Picture of the Day: Natalya Celebrates Raw Victory with Husband Tyson Kidd

11

Last night’s edition of Raw saw quite the impressive return to action for Tyson Kidd, as he teamed up with his Total Divas star spouse Natalya to defeat the duo of Fandango and Summer Rae in a Mixed Tag Team match.

It was a huge night for Natalya and Kidd, as he had finally made his big comeback from a near career ending torn meniscus injury. Following the victory, the delightful twosome could be seen embracing one another in celebration, giving us even more anticipation for the return of Total Divas this Sunday.

Nattie posted the picture on her her Instagram account, captioning it, “We did it @kiddwwe!!!!”

He may have been a bit unappreciative of her desires, and she may have nearly found some sort of love in the arms of Jaret, but through thick and thin, Natalya and Tyson – Nattie and TJ – are pretty much that couple you know are going to be together forever, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Raw Redux (November 4th, 2013): Husband and Wife Reunite and a Rookie Picks Up Her First Win

0

Raw keeps on delivering it seems and last night was no exception. We were gifted with two beautiful Diva matches, both unique and special in their own way. First up, we had Total Divas co-stars, the husband and wife team of returning Tyson Kidd and Natalya taking on our favorite sequined duo Fandango and Summer “Slay” Rae. Up second, we had more Total Divas bombshells Brie and Nikki Bella and Eva Marie taking on WWE Divas Champion AJ Lee, her bodyguard/bestie Tamina Snuka and the Lithuanian Queen Aksana.

First and foremost, all of us here at Diva Dirt want to welcome Tyson Kidd back to Raw with open arms. Thanks to Total Divas, all of us were privy to some of Tyson’s ups and downs during his rehabilitation and to see him back in action is a total treat. Also, it was completely and totally awesome to see him teaming with his wifey. Love these two!

Summer controlled most of the Diva portion of the match, like we’ve been seeing, and once again she proved just how far she has come. I can’t stress this point enough, some people either get it or they don’t, and Summer Rae gets it. From her head down to her toes, she is in character at all times and doing all the little things that make someone stand out from the competition. At this point, she is probably the best Diva on the roster in terms of being the complete package, and I can’t wait to see her continue competing and going against some of the other Divas. This is all I wanted for Summer when she was brought up from FCW because she showed so much down there. That’s why I was disappointed when she was reduced to the roll of arm candy/dancer. This girl has loads of potential and just seeing how she owned her role as Fandango’s valet speaks volumes about her.

This was another solid match, and Tyson looked amazing. He hasn’t lost a beat. I thought he had great chemistry with our favorite ballroom leading man (sorry Derek Hough!), and they worked well. The ending was fun, with Natalya making sure Summer didn’t interfere again, and the celebration was so cute. Nattie and Tyson are adorable. Loved it and I loved this match. Curious to see what’s going to happen next, if anything between these four.

The second match of the evening saw a surprise ending that none of us could have possibility predicted. Miss Eva Marie got a HUGE pin on Tamina! This match, for me, was the better of the two because of how it was paced. I love when we get these tag matches and everyone has a chance to get involved. Sure, Eva got a sneaky little victory, but it was perfect for her and for building her character. We know she’s got a long way to go before she becomes a solid force inside the ring, but the bump she took the outside thanks to Tamina was sick looking. I really liked that, and I like that she had the gumption to tag herself in when Brie was trying to recover in the corner. Great job to Eva Marie.

Aksana didn’t get a chance to do much, and that’s alright. She still got a tag and she still got to pick on Nikki, and that was fun. Aksana isn’t the best, but she works with what she’s got, and I appreciate the fact she’s getting more of an opportunity on television at the moment. On the other side, Nikki is becoming just as great as Brie in the ring. She made Tamina look like a million dollars tonight and is great at bumping and selling. I’m so glad she’s able to wrestle again and I’m hoping she gets a chance at the title soon. AJ, Tamina, and Brie just continue to do what they do week in and week out. I love the Divas right now, so so much, and it’s about time that these women get these chances. They’re so underrated and I’m just thankful that we are getting so much from them now.

I might now have watched all of Raw, but I did watch the parts of it that were important to me. These two Diva matches made me so happy and so, so proud! Excellent work, ladies, and kudos to Tyson and Fandango too. I can’t wait to see what happens on SmackDown later this week, and obviously you guys know I’m amped up for Sunday. Total Divas has been gone from my life for way to long. Obviously, I welcome that show back with open arms. That’s all I’ve got for this week. Until then… Cryssi out!

Video: Eva Marie and the Bellas Celebrate Their Victory

After scoring her first ever pin, Eva Marie spoke to WWE.com alongside her teammates, Brie and Nikki Bella.

Eva expressed her excitement over the win, saying that she wouldn’t rather have any other Divas by her side than the Bellas.

Nikki said, in getting the win, Eva took advantage of an opportunity, much like she often does on Total Divas.

The Divas then preview this Sunday’s return of the reality show.

Video: Kaitlyn Comments on Big Show’s WWE Reinstatement

Big Show‘s reinstatement to the WWE last night had a lot of people talking, including the WWE’s Superstars and Divas. For this week’s Backstage Fallout, the WWE cameras spoke to a number of wrestlers about what went down.

The only Diva featured was Kaitlyn, who said she thinks everyone can relate to wanting to stick it to their bosses – not in this job, mind you – and that anyone can get behind the Big Show in this fight.

Kaitlyn closes out her thoughts with the hope that things within the WWE can go more smoothly from here on out.

Video: Triple Threat Match Set for This Week’s Impact

In an Impact 365 video posted yesterday, ODB spoke about a match just made for this Thursday’s Impact: her vs. Brooke vs. Velvet Sky.

While not technically a match for the number one contendership, one could assume that whoever wins this match will be on the fast track to a shot at Gail Kim‘s Knockouts Title.

ODB seems confident, especially when it comes to eventually getting another go at Gail Kim and Lei’D Tapa.

Video: Maryse on How the Miz Proposed, Meeting Him During the Diva Search

9

We’ve heard a lot about former WWE Diva Maryse‘s upcoming wedding to the Miz. We know the when (February) and the where (the Bahamas), but until now we haven’t heard exactly how the Miz popped the question.

In an interview with WrestleTalk TV, Maryse revealed that he proposed to her this past February at the Los Angeles Ritz Carlton in the exact convention room where they first met, back when Maryse was auditioning for the Diva Search.

Maryse recalls first meeting Miz, and according to her, it wasn’t exactly love at first sight. She says he, while serving as a judge, criticized the fact that she couldn’t speak English, which he believed was an integral part of being a Diva.

She decided to return the favor and, when asked by him to cut a promo in French, she came off the stage and cut an intense promo right in his face. She believes that she owes her success in the Diva Search to that promo.

Maryse gives him credit for surprising her, as she says the proposal was a “100% surprise”.

Picture of the Day: Melina Celebrates Dia de Los Muertos

7

When she was with the WWE, Melina was never one to do anything halfway. So, it should come as no surprise that when the Mexican-American former Diva celebrates Día de Muertos, she doesn’t mess around.

Day of the Dead, for those unfamiliar with it, is the Mexican celebration of loved ones who have passed away. It took place over the past few days, and Melina has just now given us a peek at her painted calavera mask.

She posted the above photo on her Instagram account, captioning it, “Gotta celebrate #WalkingDead #Zombies #diadelosmuertos #dayofthedead.”

Clearly she couldn’t resist bringing some Walking Dead inspiration to, adding a glazed-over contact in one eye. Nice touch!

Brittney Savage Gets Married

17

Recently retired indy star Brittney Savage celebrated Halloween with a wedding.

She was married to former TNA wrestler Jesse Neal on Thursday, tweeting shortly after the wedding to make the official announcement:

The couple announced their engagement in August, and Brittney revealed that she was pregnant shortly after.

Also in August, Brittney confirmed her plans to retire from wrestling.

With her new husband and a baby on the way, it looks like Brittney’s got her hands full, even having stepped away from wrestling.

Congrats to to happy couple!

Picture of the Day: The Bellas and Funkadactyls Get Their Steve Harvey On

10

We’re now in the home stretch as we anxiously await the return of Total Divas, and what better way to get yourself ready than by checking out four of the cast members in a special appearance on comedian Steve Harvey‘s talk show?

Cameron, Naomi, Brie and Nikki Bella will be making their presence felt this coming Tuesday as the quartet take to the stage and dish on the upcoming second half of the Total Divas inaugural season.

Funkadactyl Cameron posted the above picture on her Instagram account earlier today, captioning it “Tune in on Tuesday, Nov. 5 to see the #funkadactyls and #bellatwins on The Steve Harvey TV show @IamSteveHarvey. Check local listings for time and channel or go to www.steveharveytv.com/watch. You know it will be the bomb.com!”

Personally, we’re loving that the Divas are getting the opportunity to do the talk show circuit again and can’t wait to tune in and see what the foursome is grilled on. Perhaps how public their dating lives have been made on the show? Or how about the cyber-bullying sent their way from being in the public eye? Orrr maybe Naomi could fully explain the shock and horror at the realization that silicone breast implants really do float in water!

Whatever the topics are, we’re ready to be entertained.

Total Divas returns on Sunday, November 10th at 10pm ET.

WWE Superstars Redux (November 1st, 2013): Naomi Shows Aksana Her Cheeky Side

What’s up Diva fans and welcome to this week’s WWE Superstars Redux. After what felt like an eternity, a full-length video of this week’s match has still not been discovered yet I’m here to unravel all of the action that is included on the WWE.com preview clip! This week is half a rematch from last week’s Main Event, which saw Cameron and Naomi defeat Aksana and Alicia Fox. This week, Cameron (along with Brodus Clay) and Alicia are sat on the sidelines watching Naomi take on Aksana in the ring. Can Aksana secure her first victory in about six years or will Naomi and her ‘ass’-ets pick up the win? TO THE VIDEO (well, what I have of it)!

We start off witnessing Aksana have Naomi in a chinlock as Brodus and Cameron really do a good job of getting the crowd behind our fave high-flyer. I wonder what happened before Naomi was in the submission and as I like Alicia Fox, I’ll pretend she provided a devlishly epic distraction and then as I despise it’s presence, I guess Aksana did the slug crawl thing and WWE.com cut it from the video to save me the pain of watching it. Thanks WWE – love you!

After Naomi uses her back end to get Aksana off of her, she jumps over her Lithuanian opponent sunset flip style. After Aksana lands it as smoothly as a bed of spikes, Naomi only manages to get a two count. Naomi then keeps the momentum up with a schoolgirl she executes off of a waistlock before both girls clothesline each other simultaneously. Alex Riley makes a great point of stating that whoever gets up first, they’ll be in the driving seat, and this would ring true most of the time, yet Aksana is in the ring so even though she is up a tad before Naomi, it comes across as comedy over-zealousness as Naomi turns up the heat!

Naomi jumps at Aksana and hits her with a Hurricanrana, which sadly, Aksana is slow to execute from her end of the bargain. Following that, Naomi hits a dropkick before moving to the apron, ready to deliver a solid kick to the mush of Aksana! Naomi flips over Aksana and then hits the move that was so terribly botched last week, a beautiful wheelbarrow stunner!

*plays Damien Sandow’s theme song* HALLELUJAH!

The smile on Naomi’s face is epic and what is even more epic and surprising… Aksana kicked out. If he was still alive, I’m sure the Olympic octopus that could predict everything would be shocked. Who’d have thought we’d have a nice but of suspense on Superstars! Following that near fall, Aksana is right back on the offensive; she clearly knew that was too close a call. After a few strikes and a club to the back of the neck, Aksana hits a gutwrench suplex, yet she can only muster a two. That first win in years is not quite hers yet! Aksana then pleads at Naomi “Come on” several times, which is seemingly a problem as Naomi knows she is ready and waiting. Aksana runs off the ropes and right into the Rear View. I wonder what hurts more? Being hit with a shovel or Naomi’s ass? 1-2-3!

Thoughts: Well for all the match that is available on the internet, I actually quite enjoyed this action. There was no sexy slug crawl in sight, I loved the spot that actually made Aksana look credible despite her losing record where she kicked out of Naomi’s new wheelbarrow stunner and both girls worked well to make the Rear View look devastating.

However! I’m sorry there has to be a whatever yet as much as I love Naomi’s hurricanranas, she clearly should use them against Aksana; Aksana can just not take them seamlessly enough. Other than that, it was a competent showing and I am hoping we get to see more matches from this side feud. We don’t need major storylines for shows like Superstars, it’s just nice to see the girls who aren’t on TV enough get to compete. I’d love to see a bit of Naomi vs Foxy next week, so let’s hope we get it! And with that, stay tuned, Jack will be back!

SmackDown Redux (November 1st, 2013): You Tapped Out!

Hello everyone and welcome to this week’s SmackDown Redux! This week on the new brand, Total Divas Natalya, Brie and Nikki Bella team up to take on Divas Champion AJ Lee, Tamina Snuka and Alicia Fox in a Six-Diva Tag Team match. Can AJ (and Co.) keep the momentum coming out of her title defense at Hell in a Cell, or will Team Total Divas pick up a win going into their return? Check out the match below:

We kick things off with the babyfaces already in the ring. Team AJ is out next and their gear is color-coordinated (Take note, Team Bella). The official signals for the bell and our match is underway, with Alicia and Nikki starting for their respective teams.

The Divas start off with a lockup, but Alicia gets the upper hand, sending Nikki crashing to the mat. Alicia picks Nikki up and whips her across the ring,  but Nikki strikes back with an elbow to the face and a bulldog for a nearfall. With her opponent reeling, Nikki whips her into the corner and levels Alicia with a monkey flip/clothesline combination, with an assist from Brie.

Brie tries to maintain her momentum, Alicia gets the jump on her and slaps on a side headlock, looking to wear her down. Brie fights her way out with a hip toss, but misses the blind tag made by Tamina and gets turned inside out by a brutal lariat.

Now in control, Tamina lays Brie out with a suplex for a nearfall, before tagging AJ, who goes to work with a guillotine choke. With a bit of encouragement from the audience, Brie manages to fight her way out of the submission, only to find herself in ANOTHER guillotine choke.

This time Brie rams AJ into the turnbuckle to escape and quickly tags Natalya, who comes in like a house on fire. Natalya takes it to AJ, with a flurry of offense, but Alicia gets involved when she guys for the pin… and then all hell breaks loose.

When the smoke clears, AJ sneaks up behind Natalya and rolls her up for a two count. Unfortunately for AJ, she gets distracted by what is happening on the outside and falls victim to the Sharpshooter, losing the match for her team.

Thoughts: Looks as if Natalya may be next in line for a shot at the Divas Champion, huh? It would make sense, seeing as Total Divas is returning soon. And with Brie getting slowly integrated into Daniel Bryan’s storyline with The Authority, Natalya is the only logical choice.

I feel that WWE will finally pull the trigger and have AJ drop her title to Natalya, but in probably won’t happen until the season finale if Total Divas draws near, so don’t expect it at the next PPV.

That’s all there is this week, kiddies! Until next time!

Video: Brie, Nikki and Natalya Do a Victory Dance

After picking up a big win on last night’s SmackDown Natalya, Brie and Nikki Bella spoke to Renee Young about how it felt to defeat Divas Champion AJ Lee.

Natalya says that the win proves the Total Divas crew is on a roll, while Brie says it was nice to see AJ tap out.

The three Divas then invite Renee to take part in a victory dance with them, promising that fans can see more of that on Total Divas.

If you remember a few weeks back, Tara appeared on local Chicago television to promote the new Svengoolie burger at her restaurant, The Squared Circle.

Tara actually appeared on Svengoolie’s own television show to teach the creepy comedian a thing or two. We all know Tara loves to goof around and have fun, and she let it all out by delivering some chops to Svengoolie and twisting everything he said into some sort of wrestling reference.

Impact Write-Up (October 31st, 2013): Gail Comes Up Golden and the #WheelofDixie Starts to Spin

42

Welcome, Knockout fans! I hope you all had an awesome Halloween! Did anybody take some of Diva Dirt’s suggestions of how to dress up like your favourite woman in wrestling? If yes, let me know in the comments!

TNA’s Halloween episode kicked off with President (of TNA, not the US. Calm yourselves.) Dixie Carter heading to the ring. Dixie is dressed in a bright orange turtle neck, which I can only hope is just in honour of Halloween because, well… just no. Anywho, Dixie starts off by saying that AJ Styles showed off his lack of mental aptitude etc last week. She handed him the world on a silver platter, and he just threw it back in her face.

Nobody, and she means NOBODY, walks out on Dixie Carter. From now on, he doesn’t exist to her and he is no longer her World Heavyweight Champion. Gasp! He can take the belt, and the car he stole, and keep them as a reward. She calls the belt ‘just a costume’ from her on out, and says something about him trick or treating with other little boys, dressed as world champ. What Dixie needs is a real world champion; someone great looking and with all the skills to make TNA bigger than it is right now. Yes Dixie, you definitely need that.

She names an eight man contest to determine the next World Heavyweight Champion. She names them one by one and they each get a little video package that, to be honest, is probably there to fill time. The only one I care about is Jeff Hardy. He was my boo when I was younger.

Out comes Bully Ray. I bet he wants his own video package. Brooke is by his side, gorgeous as ever. I spy the rest of the guys giving her the once over as she follows Bully Ray down the ramp. Dixie announces a gauntlet match to name the eighth person that will compete in the tournament. Bully is totes unimpressed. They begin a war of words, but ain’t nobody got time for that. The lights shut off and Anderson arrives. Dixie disappears and Brooke can only look on as her man gets his ass handed to him.

Dixie is backstage. Sting heads into her office, which has security posted outside the door. Nice touch. Why is Sting wearing sunglasses indoors? He looks like a douche. Dixie wants to lift a ban on him ever being involved in the world title picture to allow him to compete in the gauntlet match tonight. He says he has never had a sense of entitlement and walks out, leaving Dixie shouting after him.

“Does that mean yes?!”

The former Knockouts champion, ODB, is backstage and she has something to say. She says she’ll take on both Gail and Lei’D Tapa tonight. Apparently there’s nothing like a little three way for the ODB. Bam! Stay classy, O! ODB’s husband, Eric Young, isn’t happy about the two Sherlock Holmes clones hanging around his wife. She tells him she’s got something special planned for him later. A little bit of trick or treat!

It’s time for the Knockouts Championship rematch. Christy Hemme is all dolled up for Halloween, with a cute little top hat included. ODB is out first, followed by Gail, who is accompanied once again by her heavy, Lei’D Tapa.

ODB goes right for Gail, knocking her down and beating on her pretty hard. She throws Gail head first into two of the turnbuckles, then lands a big slap to the chest. ODB’s looking good early on; she’s throwing Gail around like a rag doll. She goes for the bronco buster but Gail slides out of the ring in time. She tries to escape up the ramp but ODB sends her back into the ring in no time. Gail lures ODB around to the announcer’s table where she tries to land the Eat Defeat, but ODB counters with a fall away slam. Ouchies. ODB throws Gail back in the ring as Lei’D Tapa saunters around to have a stare off. The ref gets in the middle of them, but Gail is already back in the game. She lands a drop kick on ODB from the ropes, and ODB goes head first into the announcers table. Definite ouchies.

Gail Kim locks in the figure four around the ring post. I’m a fan of this being in Gail repertoire, despite my interest in her slowly slipping away lately.

Gail goes for the pin and gets a two count. Gail’s in control for a moment, but ODB mounts a brief comeback. And I mean brief. Gail lays her out with a huge clothesline! Another two count for Gail. She locks in a a head scissors hold but ODB is fighting out of it. She turns it into a single leg crab! Gail reaches the ropes.

ODB is in the corner and Gail goes for a running drop kick but there’s nobody home! ODB is back on the offense, landing two big shoulder blocks, knocking the wind out of Gail. ODB hits a thesz press from the ropes, which leads right into the pin. ODB gets a count of two. Tapa is on the apron. She’s not happy. ODB pops Gail onto the top rope, then hits a big front suplex. Tapa is back on the apron; she’s not about to let her bestie lose the gold! ODB puts her money where her mouth is and squares up to Tapa, who smack talks right back. But it’s all part of the bigger plan as Gail rolls ODB up from behind, grabs the ropes for leverage and gets the three count!

Your winner, and still Knockouts champion, is Gail Kim.

That match was… slow, and dare I say it? A bit boring. It furthered tensions between ODB and Tapa, and I would like to see them face off soon. I also want a new babyface challenger for Gail. Preferably not Velvet Sky. I’m sure Sabin will have some tricks up his sleeve for the tournament, and she’ll undoubtedly be one of them.

Dixie is backstage with Chris Sabin and my childhood sweetheart. She thanks them for joining her. She introduces the #WheelofDixie. It determines the kind of match Jeff and Sabin will have next week. It’ll be a full metal mayhem, and Dixie has little to no confidence in Sabin for that one. My boo is gonna rule.

So, how did you guys like Impact this week? It didn’t win any favour with me. Aside from my crush on Jeff Hardy being reignited, I wasn’t bothered. The rematch for the title could have been a lot better. I would have preferred they wait for a while, built the tension between ODB and Tapa more and then have her lose. It would set up a feud between the two powerhouses much better, and take ODB’s attention away from Gail so she can feud with someone else. Maybe Brooke? Not sure how well that heel on heel would work though.

See you next week!

Former WWE ring announcer Brandi Rhodes, AKA Eden Stiles, is returning to the WWE.

Brandi, who recently got married to WWE Superstar Cody Rhodes, tweeted the news with a picture of her new wrestling boots, which match those of her husband. She tweeted:

Judging from the t-shirt in the image, it looks like Brandi will be wrestling as opposed to announcing, as she is headed to WWE’s Performance Center, where she’ll resume her training on Monday.

Brandi originally left the WWE in December 2011 after requesting her release, so it seems like she has had a change of heart!
