Maria Kanellis and Tara Collide at Glory by Honor XII

After their encounter at The Squared Circle, it was inevitable that Maria Kanellis and Tara would come to blows at the next Ring of Honor show.

And that they did. At last night’s Glory by Honor XII, Tara ran in after Maria’s fiance Micke Bennet‘s match against Kevin Steen. Maria and Mikie were delivering a post-match beat down when Tara appeared to even the odds.

Results below, courtesy of PWInsider:

* Mike Bennett (w/ Maria) vs. Kevin Steen: Hell of an entertaining brawl. Bennett wins with a piledriver after Maria distracted the ref. Afterwards, Bennett teases a piledriver on the ring apron but Lisa Marie Varon hits the ring and beats the holy hell out of Maria. Bennett pulls her off, Steen comes back in and brawls with Bennett. Chaos ensues as security and refs hit the ring. Brawl ends when Steen hits a top rope Swanson on Bennett and security to the outside. Lisa Marie goes back after Maria, Steen stops Maria from escaping and Lisa Marie hits the Widows Peak. Fantastic segment.

The match was taped for a future edition of ROH TV, so keep your eyes peeled for video!

Hell in a Cell Rewind: Eve Torres vs. Kaitlyn vs. Layla for the Divas Title (2012)

Leading up to Hell in a Cell tonight, we’re looking back at memorable Diva moments from the history of the Pay-Per-View.

Today, we’re looking to last year, when Divas Champion Eve Torres defended her title in a Triple Threat match against Kaitlyn and Layla. The heel champ was able to overcome competition from the two good girls, breaking a pin by Kaitlyn on Layla and stealing the victory for herself, retaining her title.

Picture of the Day: Cameron Meets a Miami Lemur

9

She may be the mother of one Total Divas star Glitty, but don’t let that make you think Cameron, only has room for one affectionate animal in her life.

As seen above, the Funkadactyl hit the… actually, we’re not quite sure where she met this lemur named Charlie. Nonetheless, we can only hope the two spent the night out hitting the clubs and having fun. Surely, that’s what lemurs excel at, right?

The picture was posted on Cameron’s Instagram profile alongside the caption, “Me and charley on south beach! Doesn’t he just melt your heart? Gosh! I freaking love animals!”

Could Charley be the next non-Diva breakout star of Total Divas? We saw Heel Jane, Sandra, Gismo, Glitty and Jimmy Uso each make a statement already, but we think it’s high time Charley stole the hearts of the viewing public!

SmackDown Redux (October 25th, 2013): No Love Lost

Hello everyone, and welcome to this week’s edition of the SmackDown Redux! Just a few days away from Brie Bella‘s title match at Hell in a Cell, her twin sister Nikki Bella makes her return to singles competition, to face AJ Lee in a non-title match. Can Nikki wear AJ down for Brie’s title shot? Will AJ make an example out of Nikki? Will Tamina make another statement?! Check out the match below to find out:

We kick off our festivities with Nikki (along with Brie) already in the ring. AJ (accompanied by Tamina Snuka) makes her way to the ring next and our Divas match is quickly underway.

The Divas start with a basic lockup, but AJ squirms away. Nikki goes for another lockup, but the champion scrambles for the ropes. Nikki pursues, and ends up eating a elbow to the face. Feeling confident, AJ goes in the offensive, but Nikki counters with a drop toe hold, followed by a Thesz press, sending out to the floor.

AJ hides behind Tamina, trying to lure Nikki out of the ring, but when Nikki doesn’t take the bait, AJ climbs on the apron and snaps Nikki’s throat over the top rope for a nearfall.

Now in control, AJ plants Nikki with a neckbreaker for another nearfall, before locking in a chokehold. After some encouragement from the audience, Nikki gets free and unleashes a flurry of offense. Unfortunately for Nikki, AJ moves at the last moment as Nikki went for a running kick, sending her crashing into the turnbuckle on her bad leg.

Smelling blood in the water, Tamina makes a move on the the injured Bella, but Brie comes to the rescue…! And gets thrown into the steel steps. Ouch…

Ever the opportunist, AJ takes advantage of the situation, locks in the Black Widow on Nikki and picks up the win!

Also on the blue brand, we had an altercation between Natalya and Summer Rae, during the Fandango vs. The Great Khali match:

Thoughts: I was almost positive that Fandango and Summer Rae would have a feud with Santino and a debuting Emma, but I’m actually glad that Natalya is getting a shot here. Natalya is one of the most talented Divas on the roster, and if Summer Rae can learn anything from anyone, it’s Natalya.

Speaking of Summer Rae, I’m really happy to see her developing in a wrestling role. As we can see from her NXT work, the girl has loads of potential and is charismatic to boot. I see her making a huge impact on the Divas division in the future.

As for the match, it was decent. I thought Nikki seemed a bit rusty, but that’s to be expected after being injured for so long. I’m sure in a few matches, she will fall right back into line, in terms of in-ring performance.

I did think this was a very good preview going into Hell in a Cell. Brie has been on a tear lately, so it was good to see AJ and Tamina finally get the better of her, as well as gaining some momentum going into the PPV.

Well, that’s all for this week, guys! Until next time!

SHINE 14 in Review: Between Friends and Enemies

shine14rain

A hard-fought victory over a plucky international challenger and the callous betrayal of a close friend saw Valkyrie’s dominance of SHINE remain strong, despite a few minor setbacks on the way.

SHINE Champion Rain faced a new test in the main event as she defended her title against Japanese star Hiroyo Matsumoto. Because of the consistently high standards of SHINE undercards, the promotion’s main events (while always good) are rarely the match of the night, but Matsumoto’s energetic and aggressive performance combined with a superb outing from Rain and a host of nailbiting moments that defied the predictable nature of the result (that backdrop driver spot!) secured this match’s place as the standout contest of the show, with Rain landing her patented implant DDT to ensure that the last few months before her imminent retirement will be very interesting indeed.

And won’t they just? Immediately after the match SHINE commentator and makeshift announcer Lenny Leonard revealed that Rain’s next challenger had already been signed for the next show on December 13th, and brought out All Star Squad manager Daffney, who presented Amazing Kong as her new recruit, and very possibly the next SHINE Champion!

Valkyrie’s outreach extended throughout the undercard as usual, with Allysin Kay and Ivelisse teaming up to challenge the fun-loving international duo of the Global Green Gangsters (Kellie Skater and Tomoka Nakagawa) for the SHIMMER Tag Team Championships in another fantastic match that saw all four incredibly talented women impress as expected, with Nakagawa and Ivelisse particularly starring on either side. After Kay and Ivelisse’s defeat, which saw Kay get pinned by Nakagawa following a tandem kick combo from 3G, Jessicka Havok came to the ring to confront her best friend Kay, issuing her with a “Valkyrie or me” ultimatum – which it seemed like Kay accepted, embracing Havok and leaving her stablemates…for a while.

Indeed, thirty-two minutes later the reunion was cancelled in unapologetic fashion during Havok’s Last Woman Standing match against Saraya Knight. After a barrage of lethal chair shots, vicious groin kicks and goodness knows what else (and yeah, the occasional accidental attempt at a pin by Saraya despite the stipulation, but whatever) followed by a tombstone piledriver onto the bar (!) from Havok to Saraya, The ‘Havok Death Machine’ looked set to have clinched this one, but for a clothesline out of nowhere by Kay, allowing Saraya to get up and beat the ten-count, coming out victorious. Valkyrie continued the assault on Havok after the match, sowing the seeds for a lengthy feud between these two friends-turned-enemies.

Outside of Valkyrie’s shenanigans, Amazing Kong wrestled Madison Eagles in an excellent, hard-hitting bout that saw Kong pick up the win with a second-rope diving splash. Since her recent reinvention Kong has had a new lease of life in her matches, showing a new-found agility and flexibility that is making her better in the ring than ever before, while Eagles continues to show just why she’s one of the best female wrestlers on the planet.

Scotland’s Nikki Storm is normally the kind of talent that could wrestle a wet mop and still steal the show, but while her usual charisma was there last night her match against Nikki Roxx didn’t quite live up to the lofty expectations I had for it. It wasn’t bad, by any means – but it was sloppy and hard to get into at times, always feeling as if it was about to burst into life, but never quite making it. There were good moments in the match though – particularly Storm kicking out of the Barbie Crusher and getting the win thanks to interference from Mercedes Martinez – and Storm can hold her head up high following an extremely impressive US tour that has certainly got the whole women’s wrestling community in America talking about her.

Meanwhile, Mia Yim‘s phenomenal wave of momentum just keeps growing and growing, putting on an incredible performance in her three-way match against Shanna and Savannah Summers. From a double half-crab on her two opponents, to a double suplex, to taking a winding double-stomp to the midsection in a spot of cooperation by her opponents, to finishing Summers off with a deadly Package Piledriver, Yim’s energy in the ring is simply a joy to watch, and if I were a betting man, I’d expect to see her somewhere very close to the SHINE Championship picture very soon indeed.

Also, Kimberly looks like she might be another new addition to the All-Star Squad, seeming to impress Daffney in her countout victory against Mercedes Martinez, which Martinez walked out of halfway through due to a disparity in numbers. Kimberly didn’t seem to mind – they all count!

Elsewhere on the card, the SNS Express continue to turn many heads with their performances with a great winning effort against the American Sweethearts (Santana Garrett and Amber O’Neal) and Leva Bates, who this time was dressed as Pyramid Head from Silent Hill (not gonna lie, I have no idea what that means). Like most six-person tag matches it was difficult to follow at times but some nice spots and good teamwork from all parties involved made for a highly entertaining contest. Finally, Solo Darling opened the show in colourful fashion, dressing as “Shark Solo” for her match against Su Yung, a short but fun bout which saw Solo roll Yung up for the three-count following some ‘Jaws’-style shenanigans outside and under the ring. As entertaining as that was, however, it’s a shame to see a talented rising star like Su Yung relegated to the opening spot on the card yet again, and I can only hope she doesn’t get even more lost in the shuffle over the coming months.

All in all, however, this was one of SHINE’s best shows yet, with a fantastic main event backed up by a solid and well-booked undercard, with plenty to ponder over the November break before the final show of the year in December. Jessicka Havok and Allysin Kay’s inevitable grudge feud looks to be setting itself up very nicely indeed, while the expansion of the All-Star Squad means Valkyrie could be facing some serious competition on the stable front, particularly with Kong as Rain’s next opponent. SHINE have been brilliant at surprising us since they began, and I can’t wait to see what they do next. Roll on SHINE 15!

Hell in a Cell Rewind: Beth Phoenix vs. Kelly Kelly for the Divas Title (2011)

Leading up to Hell in a Cell tomorrow night, we’re looking back at memorable Diva moments from the history of the Pay-Per-View.

Today, we’re looking back back at 2011, when Divas Champion Kelly Kelly defended her title against Beth Phoenix. After being thwarted a number of times by the resilient babyface, Beth finally defeated her, hitting her with the Glam Slam after Natalya disposed of Eve Torres and clocked Kelly with the microphone. With the win, Beth earned her first Divas Championship.

Video: Bella Twins and Renee Young Terrorize Hornswoggle on the JBL and Cole Show

The JBL and Cole Show‘s Halloween special sees Divas Renee Young, Brie and Nikki Bella perform homages to classic horror movies, all in the name of terrorizing poor Hornswoggle.

Brie and Nikki pull a perfect imitation of The Shining‘s evil twins, confronting Hornswoggle in a deserted hallway.

Later, he runs into Renee, who is transfixed by a computer screen and says, Poltergeist-like, “They’re here!”

Video: Khali Comforts Natalya After Her Fight With Summer Rae

Last night on SmackDown, Summer Rae delivered one hell of a slap to Natalya after the Total Divas star thwarted her attempt to interfere in Fandango‘s match against The Great Khali.

Though Natalya was more than ready to fight it out in the ring, when approached by Renee Young afterwards, she appeared to be very upset.

Natalya claimed that Summer has no respect for anyone, and went on a verbal tear against her until Khali gave her a few comforting words, calming her down.

Looks like Khali gives good moral support! Who knew?

Diva Dirt presents live coverage of SHINE 14, airing tonight on iPPV as part of Female Fight Season.

The main event will see Hiroyo Matsumoto challenge Rain for the SHINE Championship, while other matches of note include Kellie Skater and Tomoka Nakagawa defending their SHIMMER Tag Team Championships against Valkyrie’s Allysin Kay and Ivelisse, a Last Woman Standing match between Jessicka Havok and Saraya Knight, and Amazing Kong (WWE’s Kharma) vs Madison Eagles. The show also includes the last match of Nikki Storm‘s US tour, facing off against Nikki Roxx.

SHINE 14 comes to us live from the Orpheum in Ybor City, Florida, starting at 9pm ET (2am GMT). Order the event on on WWNLive.com.

Live results will appear below.

Solo Darling defeated Su Yung. Solo was dressed as Shark Boy, and was referred to as ‘Shark Solo’ throughout the match, which was a short Halloween-themed comedy outing with plenty of biting and silly things. Solo got the win after going to the outside and hiding under the ring with Daffney as the ‘Jaws’ theme hit, then coming out the other side and rolling up a confused Su Yung for the three-count.

Mia Yim defeated Savannah Summers and Shanna. Mia Yim dominated the match from the get-go, impressing in several spots including a double-applied single leg Boston crab to her two opponents, a double suplex and taking a brutal double stomp while hung from the top rope. She eventually got the win by landing a sick package piledriver to Summers.

Nikki Storm defeated Nikki Roxx. A calculated effort from both women that saw them each kick out of a number of the other’s signature moves. The finish came when Mercedes Martinez came out and attacked Daffney, creating a distraction that allowed Storm to pin Roxx.

The S-N-S Express defeated Santana, Amber O’Neal and Leva Bates. Leva was dressed as something from Silent Hill, according to Lenny Leonard on commentary. This was your standard entertaining-but-hard-to-follow 6-person tag match, with Jessie Belle pinning Santana after a Kiss My Sass from Stephie.

Kimberly defeated Mercedes Martinez by countout. During the match Daffney was watching from a distance, and Kimberly looked keen to impress her early on. Following the All-Star Squad entering ringside, Martinez simply walked out, allowing Kimberly to pick up the countout victory. After the match, Kimberly celebrated with the All-Star Squad, who appear to have a new member!

Kellie Skater and Tomoka Nakagawa defeated Allysin Kay and Ivelisse to retain the SHIMMER Tag Team Championships. This was a great, blink-and-you’ll-miss-it affair that saw all four women impress. The finish came after a Lights Out double kick combo onto Kay, allowing Nakagawa to pin her for the win.

After the match, Jessicka Havok came out and confronted Kay, issuing an ultimatum – either Valkyrie or their friendship. After a moment or two of thought, Kay and Havok embrace and leave the ring together, leaving Ivelisse and April Hunter looking miffed.

Amazing Kong defeated Madison Eagles. Eagles had a number of forks hidden about her person which were retrieved by the referee before the match. This was another superb back-and-forth effort with a plethora of near-falls that saw Kong get the win with a second rope diving splash.

Saraya Knight defeated Jessicka Havok in a Last Woman Standing match following interference from Allysin Kay. Havok and Saraya tore it up around the Orpheum, with vicious chair shots, kicks to the groin and everything in between. The finish came after Havok hit a lethal-looking Tombstone Piledriver on the bar to Saraya, before getting taken out by Kay, who helps Saraya up, allowing her to avoid the referee’s count. Valkyrie and Saraya continue to attack Havok in the ring after the match.

Rain defeated Hiroyo Matsumoto to retain the SHINE Championship. This was an awesome match, both women matching each other hold for hold for the majority of the contest. A backdrop driver towards the end had the match basically won for Matsumoto, but for April Hunter pulling her away at two and three-quarters. Rain responded with an Implant DDT to get the pinfall.

After the match, Lenny Leonard announced that the next challenger for the SHINE Championship has already been signed for SHINE 15 in December. Daffney enters the ring with Solo Darling and introduces Amazing Kong as the new number one contender. The three stare down Valkyrie from ringside as the show fades out.

That’s it for our live coverage of SHINE 14. Join us tomorrow for a full review!

PWI Female 50 Revealed: Indy Stars and TNA Knockout Top the List

A week ago, Pro Wrestling Illustrated had announced that SHIMMER Champion Cheerleader Melissa had topped their annual PWI Female 50 list, which ranks the fifty best women’s wrestlers based on factors such as championship reigns, win/loss records, etc.

Now, the complete list has been released via the magazine’s online issue a few days prior to the physical copy hitting newsstands.

Completing the top three are Mickie James in second place and Saraya Knight in third.

Mickie James enjoyed a heel turn and third TNA Knockouts Championship reign while the list was being compiled, becoming the most decorated female performer in televised wrestling history by capturing her ninth major championship.

Like Melissa at #1, Saraya Knight was SHIMMER Champion last year and was involved in many high profile matches, including a Steel Cage match at SHIMMER 53.

Rounding off the top ten in numerical order are WSU World Champion Jessicka Havok, former WWE Divas Champion Kaitlyn, last year’s #1 and current TNA Knockouts Champion Gail Kim, NWA World Women’s Champion Kacee Carlisle, former TNA Knockouts Champion Tara, current WWE Divas Champion AJ Lee and finally, the NCW Femmes Fatales Champion Mercedes Martinez.

Shockingly, names such as current TNA Knockouts Champion ODB, former SHINE #1 Contender Angelina Love, NXT standout Summer Rae and Kharma are all missing from the list.

To check out the entire Female 50, you can order your copy of the latest Pro Wrestling Illustrated magazine by clicking here.

Video: Summer Rae Talks Training at NXT, Fandangoing and Getting in the Ring

38

Between the Ropes‘s Brian Fritz caught up with Summer Rae after a Be a Star rally in Orlando, Florida, getting the Diva’s opinion on Fandangoing, training to wrestle on the main roster and doing charity work with the WWE.

Summer says she has been asking management to let her do charity work since she arrived on the main roster in April, and hopes to get involved with the Special Olympics, as that’s a cause that’s very close to her heart.

She admits that Fandango’s theme is both her ringtone and alarm, so it’s always stuck in her head. That, and “Somebody Call My Momma”.

On training at NXT, Summer says that it’s very important to her, as her ultimate goal is to get in the ring and “beat up some girls.”

Diva fans will know that Summer has gotten her fair share of that in NXT, but it will be interesting to see how her main roster character will start wrestling.

Impact Write-Up (October 24th, 2013): Things Go Smoothly for Gail, but it’s a Bumpy Ride on the #DixieTrain

109

Hello Impact fans, and welcome! Last night we got a decent tag match and some development in the Dixie Carter/AJ Styles saga.

We kicked things off with Dixie heading to the ring, where she has set up a “Welcome back AJ Styles” extravaganza, complete with banners and merchandise, despite ordering all his merchandise being destroyed earlier in the week. She’s here to talk about AJ Styles. She may have made a ‘little biddy’ mistake recently, so her AJ extravaganza is her way of admitting that. But she doesn’t want to focus on the past; she’s all about the future. The future is a man who overcame all the odds at Bound For Glory, and she means ALL THE ODDS. She’s so proud to call him her World Heavyweight Champion. The crowd is absolutely hating on her, and it’s great! They’re chanting for Hogan at the same time, but I’m managing to block that out. I hope he doesn’t come back. Just me? (More on that later.)

She brings out AJ Styles, clapping and cheering for him as he makes his way to the ring. She has turned her attitude right around regarding the champ, and she’s determined to make it known. She let’s him know that she’s not expecting a thank you, or anything. Doesn’t he see? That last six weeks have all been about her motivating him to glory. Obviously. I don’t know how anyone could have possible misconstrued Dixie’s good intentions as being anything less than honorable. Look what the brilliance of Dixie Carter has done for AJ.

She’s given him a fancy, private dressing room with lobster and champagne. He doesn’t drink but she loves the stuff. She’s bought him the finest money can buy, and she’s picked it all out herself. How thoughtful! And she’s saved the best for last. Her piece de resistance! That means done deal in redneck, apparently. Woah, it’s a car. Anyone else getting de ja vu? Anywho… Dixie wants to know if AJ is ready for the pair of them to move forward. She wants him on #TeamDixie. She thinks the crowd agrees. They do not. AJ’s not buying it either. Shocker! AJ doesn’t want the special treatment. He doesn’t want to separate himself from the rest of the locker room, who helped build this company with him.

Dixie admits that she may have stepped out of line, just a little bit, and she’s sorry. She tells him he doesn’t have to face Bully Ray; in fact, they can both get on her private jet and get out of that Godforsaken town. If he promises they can move forward together, she will cancel his match against Bully Ray. On cue, here comes the former World Heavyweight Champion with the beautiful Brooke by his side. Things break down, Ken Anderson makes his presence felt and the ring clears. Somehow I don’t think we’ve seen the last of Dixie tonight.

The Knockouts tag match is up next. We get a quick recap of Bound For Glory, including the revelation that Lei’D Tapa has been working for Gail Kim all along. She assisted Gail in defeating ODB and Brooke, and Gail left Bound For Glory as the new Knockouts champion.

Lei’D Tapa’s music hits first, and she appears on the ramp. The music switches to Gail Kim’s then, and the two make their way to the ring for the upcoming match. Coupling Gail’s talent and Tapa’s size and brutality, they do make quite the pair. Brooke heads out next, and I have to wonder just how much trust she’s going to put in her tag partner, given how things went down at Bound For Glory, and the sheer force of the powerbomb she suffered at the hands of Tapa. We shall see.

Velvet Sky is out first for her team, as the commentators recap how Chris Sabin used her to win the X Division title on Sunday. She’s all smiles though. I’m sure they’ve put it behind them. Here comes ODB! The former champ is fired up and all ready to go. ODB starts things off for her team, meanwhile Gail and Brooke are too busy arguing who will start for theirs! ODB takes matters into her own hands and pulls Brooke into the ring. She’s not messing around tonight. ODB dominates Brooke with a shoulder block and an Irish whip into the corner. She follows up with a big bronco buster, and Brooke gets herself out of there. She’s refusing to get back in, despite Gail shouting at her. ODB grabs Gail by the hair, but Tapa saves her buddy and Brooke yanks ODB out onto the floor. It sounds like it hurt a lot.

Brooke throws ODB back into the ring and tags in Gail. She literally kicks ODB while she’s down. ODB tries t fight back but Gail drags her to her and Brooke’s corner. Brooke is tagged in. A little bit of team work from Gail and Brooke, and Brooke is in control. Brooke tries for a face buster off the ropes, but ODB counters and throws her to the mat. Both Knockouts are down as Velvet tries to get the crowd behind ODB.

It’s a hot tag on both ends, and Velvet comes in with all guns blazing. She hits some clotheslines, an elbow and a beautiful head scissors, leaving Gail Kim scrambling to get back into the match. Velvet hits a running neck breaker and gets a two count after Brooke interrupts her pin attempt. ODB takes out Brooke with a spear and they roll out to the floor. Gail Kim is on the outside too, but only to distract the referee with a steel chair. Tapa’s in the ring and she absolutely NAILS Velvet with a big boot to the face. Gail makes the pin and she and Brooke steal the win!

We cut to Dixie backstage, and she’s on the phone to what sounds like a lawyer. Her assistant is quick to shut the door to the cameras though, so whatever is going on, it’s super secretive!

Brooke was back out at ringside to support her man, Bully Ray, as he looked to reclaim the heavyweight title from AJ.

I just want to remark on the brawl between Anderson and Bully for a second. There were security guards there, but they were just watching them fight. Dixie, I think you need to re-evaluate who you’ve got looking after your talent. Meanwhile, poor Brooke is screaming for Anderson to leave Bully alone!

We cut to Dixie on the tron, and she’s holding onto AJ Styles’ contract. She says they’ve got her attention now. She’s on her way to the ring and she warns AJ not to leave. When in the ring, she tells AJ that she has spent all night long speaking to her attorneys, and she now has a contract for him. It’s full of anything he could ever want, with more 0’s than he has ever seen, and because she’s so sweet she’s going to give him the car anyway as a signing bonus.

She wants him in TNA. She wants him to sign the contract, to put the whole mess behind them and move forward together. AJ calls her a horrible human being, and she looks mighty offended by it. He says she uses people to pad her bank account, that she uses the blood sweat and tears of every man and woman that has stepped into the ring to pay for her lifestyle. He says no thanks, rips the contract, wipes it on his butt and throws it down in the middle of the ring. AJ is taking the title from her. She warns him that it’s not his to take, but he’s not listening. In fact, he takes the keys and drives off in the car she bought him.

Weeeeell. Not a bad Impact. I would have liked a promo, maybe a quick interview with Gail and Tapa about why Tapa is working with Gail, and not taking the division by herself because, let’s face it, she could. But the match was good, if a little short. The crowd was into it, especially ODB and Velvet, so that always helps. The crowd loathed Dixie tonight, too, which was great. She’s done a lot with her character in a short period of time, and while she’s far from the best, she’s definitely not the worst. I’m looking forward to next week!

Au revoir!

TNA Launches “Where Action Never Ends” Programming

Yesterday, TNA made a blockbuster announcement about the future of the company, revealing a renewed partnership with Universal Studios Orlando.

Universal Studios, which used to exclusively house Impact tapings, will help TNA roll out a new programming strategy dubbed “Where Action Never Ends”, aiming to give TNA fans a 24/7 entertainment experience.

The official press release describes it in saying:

“Fans will see compelling, “cameras everywhere” content infused into IMPACT Live on Spike TV every Thursday from 9-11 p.m. ET. For the remaining 166 hours of the week until the next show, they will also have the chance to see many of the wrestlers they love and storylines they follow unfold as this exclusive content filmed during the week will be presented online at www.impactwrestling.com, on social channels including YouTube, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, as well as a variety of new distribution channels in the coming months.”

With this announcement, TNA has revealed that, going forward, Impact will be “primarily” taped at Universal Studios, with the occasional show being filmed on the road.

Also, OVW is out as TNA’s unofficial training grounds, with the press release stating that Universal Studios will house TNA’s primary training facility.

Big changes are on the horizon for TNA, and we can’t wait to see how it affects the Knockouts!

Picture of the Day: Third Generation Divas Unite

40

Are you all about the pink and black? Or how about showing some Viva La Raza love? Well tonight, you can be apart of both team Guerrero and team Neidhart!

Natalya paid a visit down to Orlando tonight when she stopped in for some NXT action at Full Sail University. Amongst the crop of Divas she came across was none other than the recently returned Raquel Diaz, aka Shaul Guerrero!

Natalya posted the above photo of she and the ravishing, rocking, racy Raquel Diaz on her Instagram account, captioning it, “Always so great to see Shaul! One of my 3G sisters down at NXT… She’s beautiful inside and out!”

Nattie and Raquel seem to be quite buddy buddy with one another, but we want to see what would happen in a match between the two. Could Diaz lie, cheat, and steal her way to an upset victory, or would Natalya continue to prove that she is wrestling royalty?

Ohio Valley Wrestling filmed today’s episode last night in Louisville, Kentucky.

The show (#740) can be seen at OVWrestling.com. Spoilers below:

Spoiler
* Taeler Hendrix vs. “Miss OVW” Lovely Lylah. Lei’D Tapa is on commentary. Taeler has Lylah’s “Miss OVW” tiara and taunts her with it. Taeler dominates most of the match and calls Lylah a “whale”. Mid-match, Taeler puts on Lylah’s tiara, and Lylah snaps. She spears Taeler, splashes her in the corner, and finishes her off with a big powerslam for the 3. Winner: Lylah by pinfall.

Tapa holds up the title at the announce table as she stares in the ring at Lylah.

* MIXED TAG MATCH: Jessie Belle & Dylan Bostic vs. Holly Blossom & Evan Markopoulos. Dylan distracts Evan by telling Jessie Belle he dropped something. Evan looks at Jessie Belle as she bends over to look. Dylan tries to roll him up while distracted. Evan gets a side headlock on Dylan and tags Holly. Holly takes over the headlock on Dylan, who is enjoying the move with his head pressed into her chest. Holly tags Evan back in. Dylan locks Evan up from behind and tags Jessie Belle. Jessie Belle takes over and Evan reverses, enjoying having Jessie Belle locked up from behind. Finally, the girls get mad and tag themselves in. Jessie Belle gets Holly in a small package and Evan gets in and rolls Holly over on top. As the ref gets him out, Dylan rolls Jessie Belle back on top for the 3. Winners: Jessie Belle & Bostic by pinfall.

After the match, Evan sneaks up behind Jessie Belle and smacks her on the butt. He runs out real quick and Jessie Belle, seeing no one else around, smacks Dylan in the face as Evan laughs on the outside. Dylan yells out to him that he still won, though.
