Ahead of Night of Champions this Sunday, we’re taking a look back at memorable Diva moments from the history of the Pay-Per-View.
Today, we’re going back to 2012, when Layla defended the Divas Title against Eve Torres. Eve was subbing for Kaitlyn, who had been injured by a mystery attacker and couldn’t compete.
Eve would win the match by taking advantage of Layla’s injured ribs, hitting a neckbreaker after Layla missed a springboard crossbody. With the win, Eve became Divas Champion for the third and final time in her career.
