Nikki Bella has officially confirmed her engagement to her now fiancé Artem Chigvintsev. She posted today on her Instagram account that the two have been engaged since November. She said “yes” in France when Chigvintsev popped the question but she wanted to keep it a secret, at least at first.
The two originally met in 2017 when Bella was a contestant on Dancing With The Stars during their 25th season. She was partnered with Chigvintsev as her professional dancer. They would remain friends afterwards and start dating around December 2018.
She would officially retire from in-ring competition in March 2019 due to health issues. Her last match was for the RAW Women’s Championship against Ronda Rousey at Evolution in October 2018. She would fail to capture the title.
Bella is added to the long list of wrestlers that have become engaged over the past year, most recently Charlotte Flair.
