At last night’s (April 13th) NXT house show in Venice, Florida, international wrestling star Nixon Newell (competing under her real name Steffanie Newell) made her NXT debut when she teamed up with Dakota Kai in a losing effort against the team of Vanessa Borne & Reina Gonzalez.

This marks the first time in a roughly a year that Newell has competed inside a ring since suffering a torn ACL. The injury forced the Welsh star from competing in the inaugural Mae Young Classic last summer.
Newell and her tag team partner took to social media to express their excitement of about the in-ring return and what lies ahead:
Being sidelined for 10 months is something I can’t even begin to imagine, even more so when it’s stopping you from fully committing to a passion. I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for you and to do it by your side is the greatest feeling @NixonNewell ? #FlyKicks pic.twitter.com/Z3AthlQmt6
