A Fatal 5-way Elimination Match is confirmed for the Sept. 9 episode of SmackDown to determine a number one contender. The winner will be facing Liv Morgan at Extreme Rules for the SmackDown Women’s Championship on Oct. 8. The participants will be Xia Li, Natalya, Sonya Deville, Lacey Evans, and Ronda Rousey.
Morgan has held the SmackDown Women’s Championship for the first time in her career since cashing in on Rousey during the Money in the Bank premium live event in July. Since then she has successfully defended against Rousey at SummerSlam and Shayna Baszler at Clash at the Castle.
This will also be the first televised match from Lacey Evans since Money in the Bank.
