After securing a victory over Toxic Attraction last week, Roxanne Perez and Cora Jade would confront the champions on this week’s NXT 2.0.
Toxic Attraction took to the ring to call their loss last week a fluke. Once Perez and Jade made their way out to the ramp, the NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose warned Perez that she doesn’t want to cash in her championship opportunity on her. Perez wont he Women’s Breakout Tournament and can choose a title she would like to go for.
Perez followed up by saying although she would love to become NXT Women’s Champion one day (and she will), she would love to take the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships off the waists of the Gigi Dolin & Jacye Jayne with her best friend.
This announcement from Perez upset the team of Katana Chance and Kayden Carter who were victorious earlier in the night. Chance & Carter told them that the line starts behind them and that they have the tag team gold in their sights. After saying they aren’t done yet, Jade countered by saying they seemed pretty done at In Your House when they lost to Toxic Attraction. The two teams brawl as Toxic Attraction looks on with delight from the ring.
A number one contenders match is booked for next week that will have Perez/Jade face Chance/Carter for an opportunity at the tag team titles at The Great American Bash on July 5.
Already mentione, Chance and Carter were victorious earlier in the night. They faced the team of Yulisa Leon and Valentina Feroz. Chance would pick up the win for her team after delivering the 450 to Feroz to get the pin.
The second women’s match was between Lash Legend and Alba Fyre. This one would end in a disqualification with Fyre being declared the winner. Legend utilized the baseball bat of Fyre to her throat.
Other women’s moments on the show included Kiana James stepping up to Indi Hartwell. Hartwell was the third woman in the six woman tag match last week as she and Jade/Perez came out with the victory over Toxic Attraction. James dealt out some harsh truths to Hartwell with some statistical facts.
TIffany Stratton had a backstage promo describing how she really feels about Wendy Choo. Thea Hail moves into her dorm, and Nikkita Lyons will return from injury next week.
