Despite his explanations on why NWA EmPowerrr did not return this year for a second event, the NWA CEO Billy Corgan now says that it will be back “very soon.”
During the Sept. 6 episode of Powerrr, Corgan stated that there are plans to do another EmPowerrr very soon despite the clickbait one may see about the topic. He previously expressed reasons why it didn’t take place in August during NWA 74 weekend as it did last year at NWA 73. He cited reasons such as difficulty in booking the event with cooperation from other promotions as well as lack of women’s talent he could utilize.
He further added that he would like to see NWA continue to roll on to eventually reach NWA 100 and he saw how Kamille had some of the best matches over the two-night NWA 74 event. She main evented night one with a victory over Taya Valkyrie and she successfully defended against Max the Impaler on night two. This spoke on the legacy that EmPowerrr.
Corgan did not provide any further information at this time.
Valkyrie will be getting a rematch against Kamille at Hard Times 3 in November after winning the number one contender spot on the Sept. 6 episode of Powerrr. She defeated KiLynn King, Chelsea Green, and Jennacide. Also on this week’s show, Kamille retained the championship in a time limit draw against Allysin Kay.
