The results are in and fans of NXT voted for the best of 2016 awards, with recipients from the women’s division including Billie Kay and Peyton Royce, along with longest reigning Women’s Champion Asuka.
The awards were given out during the TakeOver: San Antonio Pre-Show. Billie Kay and Peyton Royce won the Breakout Star of the Year Award for 2016:
Billie and Peyton would celebrate at the commentary booth.
Asuka won the Female Competitor of Year Award but Billie Kay and Peyton Royce would also accept her award:
The Iconic Duo appeared and said there’s been a voting mistake, did Asuka look undefeated in a puddle of water when they took her out several weeks ago? Billie and Peyton then hurried off the set with Asuka’s award.
