This week’s NXT goes full speed ahead for the women in the first-ever Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. Last week we saw two teams advance from their first-round match-ups. Kayden Carter and Kacy Catanzaro defeated Mercedes Martinez & Toni Storm and on the other side of the brackets, Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell took the win on 205 Live.
Carter and Catanzaro will see who their opponents will be in the semi-finals after we see who wins tonight’s match. This next match will be between Raquel Gonzalez & Dakota Kai vs. Aliyah & Jessi Kamea.
Gonzalez is also one of the women lately who have declared words against NXT Women’s Champion Io Shirai. Between her, Martinez, and Storm there are many eyes on the champ. Shirai was the reason why Martinez and Storm didn’t advance in the Dusty Classic last week due to her interference and isolation of Martinez from the match.
