Happy International Women’s Day!
The Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic kicked off two weeks ago with the first-round matches and now we head into the semi-finals for tonight after four teams have advanced.
After Kay Lee Ray & Io Shirai took out Lash Legend & Amari Miller in the first round, they now meet Kacy Catanzaro & Kayden Carter. Catanzaro & Carter defeated Diamond Mine to advance. That match is set tonight along with Cora Jade & Raquel Gonzalez battling Wendy Choo & Dakota Kai. Jade & Gonzalez defeated Yulisa Leon & Valentina Feroz in round one whereas Dakota Kai & Wendy Choo took out Indi Hartwell & Persia Pirotta.
The two teams that take the wins tonight will face in the finals. The winning team will go on to face the NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions Toxic Attraction. The date of the finals hasn’t been confirmed but most likely will take place at Stand & Deliver during WrestleMania weekend.
