It was announced yesterday that the number one contender Ladder Match is still on the schedule. The match was supposed to take place at TakeOver: Tampa Bay and was set to have six women involved. Three participants were already qualified when the show was canceled.
Tonight we will get two more qualifying matches. First is a change of what originally was scheduled and that is Candice LeRae vs. Kayden Carter. Carter replaces Mercedes Martinez. The second is Xia Li vs Aliyah.
These two matches seem rather obvious who will qualify. If LeRae is still in the running then it makes zero sense for her to not win. Aliyah hasn’t particularly ever been given much of a chance. So unless this is her huge chance and revenge from her kayfabe nose break then I have a feeling Xia’s got this.
Regardless, it will be nice to see the women back in the ring.
