Tonight, an all new episode of NXT will air on the WWE Network. Last week, it was announced that a number one contender’s match would be taking place between Candice LeRae, Nikki Cross, Kairi Sane and Bianca Belair. However, as revealed this past weekend, Belair had to be pulled from the match due to injury. Because of Bianca’s inability to compete, tonight’s match will now be a triple threat. Listed below is WWE.com’s preview of the match:
“Three of NXT’s best will square off to see who will jump to the front of the line to be the next challenger for NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler. Candice LeRae, Kairi Sane and Nikki Cross will collide in a Triple Threat Match with with a title opportunity at TakeOver: Brooklyn hanging in the balance.
Bianca Belair was originally also slated to compete in this contest, but due to an injury, she is not cleared to compete. That leaves three to attempt to rise to the occasion to challenge the all but unstoppable Baszler. Will it be LeRae, who, despite her husband Johnny Gargano’s raging conflict with Tommaso Ciampa, has stayed focused on earning a title opportunity? Or will Sane and Cross, two Superstars who have previously succumbed to Baszler during her dominant reign, seize the opportunity to earn another title bout against Baszler?
Find out when these three Superstars collide with their eyes on the prize Wednesday on WWE NXT.”
Tonight’s installment of NXT will also feature a one on one contest between Dakota Kai and Lacey Evans. Dakota Kai proposed a match with Evans last week after Evans interrupted an interview between Cathy Kelley and the captain of Team Kick. Evans and Kai have also been going back and fourth on social media since Dakota’s loss to Bianca. WWE.com’s perspective on this evening’s contest is listed below:
“After Lacey Evans boldly interrupted Dakota Kai, seemingly just to tell Kai that she lacked the class and sophistication to be the face of the NXT Women’s division, the usually demure Kai challenged The Lady of NXT to a match where she promised to “kick the class off of her face.”
Their war of words escalated on social media:
SOMEONE let me know? You spineless excuse for a woman.
I dont have to audition…I'm hired by the best sports entertainment company in the world and unlike you… I didnt have to work from the bottom begging for a shot. #StillClassy https://t.co/nxsB0J5lMV

Will Evans back up the litany of insults she has hurled Kai’s way? Or will The Captain of Team Kick take Evans’ concept of class to school with her educated feet?”
