As a result of a challenge issued by Dakota Kai last week, tonight’s episode of NXT will feature a one on one bout between the captain of team kick and Bianca Belair. Both women look to develop momentum within the NXT women’s division. Furthermore, Belair and Kai both look to make a strong case as to why they should be Shayna Baszler‘s next challenger.

“While reflecting on how close she was to becoming NXT Women’s Champion in an interview last week, Dakota Kai stated that she won’t waste the next opportunity that comes her way. However, an eavesdropping Bianca Belair quickly took exception to Kai’s words and butted in. Belair, who had defeated Aliyah moments prior, felt slighted by the attention being paid to The Captain of Team Kick. The EST of NXT suggested that Kai should now get to “the back of the line” because it is Belair’s time to shine. Dakota refused to be intimidated, however, and boldly challenged the dominant Superstar to a match. Belair gleefully accepted, noting that she liked the idea and adding that Kai will regret it.
