NXT’s Halloween Havoc premium live event is tonight and there are two women’s matches on the card. One has a Spin the Wheel, Make the Deal stipulation of Weapons Wild added and the other is for the NXT Women’s Championship.
Shotzi and Quincy will be hosting.
First, Cora Jade and Roxanne Perez take their rivalry to the next level in a Weapons Wild Match. The two former best friends and tag team partners turned bitter enemies many months back. Jade took out Perez during their first encounter at Heatwave and now with weapons involved it increases the pressure.
On the final episode build towards Halloween Havoc, both women picked each other’s poison. Perez had to face Rhea Ripley whole Jade had to conquer Raquel Rodriguez. While Perez put up a hell of a fight, she couldn’t take out Ripley. Jade and Rodriguez ended in a disqualification on Rodriguez’s part. Perez would get the last laugh though by chasing Jade away from ringside with a weapon in hand.
Predictions:
Colby – Roxanne Perez is looking to avenge her figurative and literal losses against Cora Jade on Saturday in a Weapons Wild match. After winning the tag team titles together, Jade screwed over Perez in her very first NXT Women’s title match. From there, Perez had to vacate her first championship in WWE and eventually suffered a loss to Jade. To make things worse, Perez suffered a beating this week at the hands of Rhea Ripley thanks to Pick Your Poison. The 20-year-old Laredo native now has her reputation on the line in a marquee match where all weapons are legal. Both of these women are the future of WWE’s women’s division, but first they must have this year’s breakout tournament winner get her momentum back by beating her former friend.
Winner: Roxanne Perez
Nick – Both women have clearly become the most established in NXT right now. With Cora getting a win already, I’d say Roxanne will take this one. Then most likely a third match will happen at the December event. Roxanne made a big impression during her SmackDown match debut and carried the back half of that six-woman tag with Bayley. I’d say to further predict how this rivalry will end should be like a cage match with Roxanne winning and then appearing in the Royal Rumble and called up shortly after.
Winner: Roxanne Perez
Gary – I think this match will possibly outshine our championship match tonight and as much as I’ve enjoyed the feud, it’s time for these two to move on from each other so tonight I see a definitive win for Roxanne. Cora is well established in the division and with the NXT Universe while Roxanne, who has been super impressive, deserves this big win to continue her rise.
Winner: Roxanne Perez
Next up we have the NXT Women’s Championship on the line as the nearly year long champion Mandy Rose defends against Alba Fyre.
Rose became the NXT Women’s Champion at the 2021 Halloween Havoc event when she defeated then-Raquel Gonzalez (Rodriguez). If she defeats Fyre tonight then she will only be a few days away from 365-days as champion. Rose and Fyre have faced off before for the gold with Rose but retaining – this was under Fyre as Kay Lee Ray.
Toxic Attraction will likely be around to have the back of Rose and will Sonya Deville be present as well?
Predictions:
Nick – I could truly see this going either way at this point. However, I do think that whoever loses needs to be called up. If Alba loses then what is left for her in developmental? If Mandy loses all of Toxic Attraction need to pack it up and make their home on SmackDown. Either way, congratulations to Mandy. What a transformation in a years time. I have loved her reign.
Winner: Alba Fyre
Gary – Such a missed opportunity not having Doudrop and Nikki A.S.H. aligning with Fyre even briefly for this feud. Fyre has looked consistently strong and I don’t see Rose dropping her belt this close to hitting a year long reign. If Sonya is in the mix, I might be more inclined to say Fyre will win but my gut is telling Rose continues winning and moves on to Perez.
Winner: Mandy Rose
Colby – Mandy Rose missed most of the build for this match due to very unfortunate circumstances. Nevertheless, WWE did their best in recovering her feud with Alba Fyre, who is the perfect person to step into the title picture for this time of year. While still going by Kay Lee Ray, Fyre has already lost two title matches to the leader of Toxic Attraction this year. Rose has defeated nearly everyone on the roster, and she’s bound to repeat challengers if she doesn’t drop the title soon. We know what Fyre can do as a champion, so I’m hoping WWE will have Rose pass on the crown so Toxic Attraction can head to the main roster soon.
Winner: Alba Fyre
