There were no women’s matches on NXT this week, however, the brand is beginning to hype one of its biggest bouts taking place later this month at TakeOver: Toronto as Mickie James takes on Asuka for the NXT Women’s Championship.
WWE prepared this video package in the wake of Mickie’s challenge to Asuka:

For those unfamiliar with Mickie, she is one of the most decorated female wrestlers of all time. She is a five time WWE Women’s Champion, has held the Divas Title once, is a three time TNA Knockouts Champion, and has held numerous independent titles.
Meanwhile, Asuka has taken the women’s division by storm and remains undefeated for a year. She has held the NXT Women’s Championship for more than 215 days, ending Bayley‘s reign in April at TakeOver: Dallas.
NXT TakeOver: Toronto will take place Saturday, November 19 on the WWE Network at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.
