As previously reported, NXT tapings took place on Wednesday from the home of NXT, Full Sail University in Orlando, Fla. The second night of tapings took place Thursday evening. The tapings will air through the rest of June and into July. These spoilers include a heel turn and an NXT Women’s Championship match announced for TakeOver: Toronto. The event will take place on Aug. 10, the night before SummerSlam. Check below for this information.
[expand title=“Spoilers”] NXT tapings for the second night in a row furthers the heel turn of Io Shirai. On the first night of the tapings, after Shirai lost her match to Shayna Baszler in a Steel Cage she turned on Candice LeRae. LeRae was her friend once Kairi Sane moved to the main roster. Shirai’s heel turn continues as she comes out at the beginning of the tapings.

She later has a match against Kacy Catanzaro. Shirai ends up winning the match via disqualification. LeRae interferes and attacks her former friend.
