The first NXT TakeOver of the year is here and Vengeance Day offers up two spectacular women’s matches. The first match is the final of the women’s Dusty Classic Tag Team Tournament. Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez take on the post-apocalyptic duo of Ember Moon and Shotzi Blackheart.
The two teams will battle it out for the opportunity to become the first-ever women’s Dusty Classic winners and go on to face the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. Both duos have proven to be highly effective teams making this match very difficult to call.
The second match is a Triple Threat Match for the NXT Women’s Championship. Io Shirai defends against Toni Storm and Mercedes Martinez.
Mercedes Martinez looks to make her first NXT TakeOver event one to remember by capturing the NXT Women’s title. Toni Storm’s new attitude means she will do anything to have gold around her waist again, while Io Shirai has consistently proven herself to be a formidable champion.
All three competitors are highly-skilled wrestlers and could easily walk out of NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day with the gold.
