In a report by PWInsider, NXT releases have taken place. Five names were listed and two were from the women’s roster – Erica Yan and Sloane Jacobs. Joining them were Bodhi Haywood, Damaris Griffin, and Ru Feng.
Erica Yan signed with WWE in 2021 and appeared on 205 Live, NXT Level Up, and made just two appearances on NXT programming. Her debut match in NXT was against Elektra Lopez in a losing effort. Her last match was in September on Level Up in a tag team bout with Sloane Jacobs as they lost to Ivy Nile and Tatum Paxley.
The second name released is Sloane Jacobs. Jacobs is a 19-year-old talent who has wrestled on the indie scene as The Nortorious Mimi. She signed with WWE in March 2022. She was involved in the NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament earlier in the year losing to Fallon Henley. She was able to pick up some victory over Thea Hail on NXT Level Up. Her last match was on Oct. 7 on Level Up against Indi Hartwell.
