NXT UK taped their latest round of television in York, UK this past weekend with a number of interesting angles, exciting matches and an intriguing debut taking place.
The tapings will be shown later on this month but if you want to know the results/spoilers then read on.
The Friday, Jan, 17 tapings saw the following matches take place;
Isla Dawn defeated Nina Samuels via a bridging German suplex and Piper Niven beat Dani Luna. Later in the night new NXT UK signing Valkyrie made her debut to take on Amale in a winning effort with a double foot stomp off the top rope.
Business picked up when NXT UK Women’s Champion, Kay Lee Ray came out to cut a promo but was interrupted by Toni Storm. Lee Ray challenges Storm to an I Quit title match the following night with the stipulation that if Toni is unsuccessful she will never be able to challenge Leer Ray for the championship again. Storm accepts the challenge and the match is set.
The second night of action took place on Saturday, Jan, 18 and saw Jinny cut a scathing promo on Jazzy Gabert from the commentary table, which is interesting as Gabert announced on Twitter that she is a now free agent.
NXT UK newcomer Valkyrie would defeat Isla Dawn for her second victory in her second match for the company.
Next up would be the I Quit Match for the NXT UK Women’s Championship between Kay Lee Ray and Toni Storm. The fierce match would end when Toni is forced to quit when Lee Ray threatens to stomp Storm’s head in a chair. Piper Niven would come out tend to her fallen friend, meaning that things between her and Lee Ray are far from over.
