It has been made official, the NXT UK brand is finally returning from its hiatus. The brand has been away since around March as a result of the worldwide health pandemic. The NXT UK Twitter account announced moments ago that they will be back in September. Did you miss them?
NXT UK has been airing past matches and events during its time away. Recently they had the women of talk about their favorite moments of the Women’s Evolution as it hit its five year anniversary in July.
Recently we have seen rumblings of the brand to hype up its return. We have witnessed a new promo for Jinny that was aired last month and just the other day a video showcasing all the talent that has their eyes set on Kay Lee Ray and the NXT UK Women’s Title.
Ray is nearing the 365-day mark as champion, so with that being said, there is a long line of women to try and make her reign end as soon as possible.
Alex McCarthy of talkSPORT has some further information on NXT UK from a conference call with Triple H. The next TakeOver event is planned for Dublin, but that may be pushed back again. It was originally scheduled for April 26, and now is set for Oct. 25. So we will have to wait and see if it will happen on that date.
Also, the NXT US team to work with the UK brand on their tapings virtually.
