Three NXT recruits debut on Smackdown Live

After Monday Night RAW’s debuts of Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville, SmackDown Live seemed to have gotten the memo too.

In a backstage segment, former SmackDown Women’s champion Naomi was seen speaking to Leslie from the makeup team. Mid conversation however, NXT’s Ruby Riot popped up to greet her.

Before Naomi could say much, Riot introduced her to two of her “friends”, Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan. The former champ sensed some danger so decided to get up, but was quickly attacked by the new SmackDown women.

As an attempt to save the day, Becky Lynch got involved, but the three newbies overpowered her, leaving the Lass Kicker on the floor, begging for help.

So it seems that despite their good-guy personas on developmental, the likes of Ruby Riot, Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan will now be heels, much like their “counterparts” on RAW.

Later on in the night, Natalya attempted to reclaim her SmackDown Women’s championship from Charlotte Flair. During the match however, the trio of Riot, Logan and Morgan jumped over the barricade to lay a beatdown to both women. Although she gave it her best attempt, Flair fell victim to all three members’ finishers, leaving her knocked out in the middle of the ring.

Miss Money In The Bank took to Twitter to give her two cents on the situation, taking a special dig at one of the members in particular:

What did you think of the debut? Are you excited for the future of the division? What could this all lead to? Let us know your views in the comments below!
