NWA PPV Into The Fire offered up the shock appearance of ODB as Allysin Kay‘s surprise partner replacing the injured Ashley Vox in the show’s big women’s tag team match up.
The match was originally slated to be Allysin Kay & Ashley Vox vs Melina & Marti Belle but earlier in the night, Vox was injured by Thunder Rosa.
Thunder Rosa defeated NWA newcomer Tasha Steelz with a flying double foot stomp to the back for the pinfall victory. Rosa wasn’t finished her opponent and continued to beat on her until Ashley Vox made the save. After a brief struggle, Rosa would disable Vox with a vicious shoulder breaker into an armbar leaving her unable to compete later in the night.
The tag match was up next and Melina and Marti Belle gloated in the ring as Allysin Kay made her entrance. David Marquez makes the announcement that Kay has a replacement partner ODB.
ODB would get the pinfall victory with her version of the TKO in a really fun match in front of the fired-up NWA crowd.
NWA’s PPV was a great success filled with strong matches, fun spots and great moments. NWA seems to be building a decent women’s division by mixing up new talents, such as Marti Belle and Ashley Vox with experienced veterans like Thunder Rosa, Allysin Kay and Melina.
