How About a Round of Applause

6

A standing ovation? Or perhaps not, that’s going a little too far. I’m going to do something I very seldom do – write a feel good post. Yes, there must be a blue moon out tonight or something but I felt this Diva warranted such a post.

This will work a lot easier if you’re an avid Top Model viewer, if you’re not: be warned, this will go over your head. You know how at the end of every episode when Tyra talks to the bottom two in her condescending voice? “I have two beautiful girls standing before me. One of you, the judges felt was gorgeous and sexy but lacked confidence and was utterly crap?” Yeah, that part? Well read this with that condescending positive-but-at-the-same-time negative voice…

Here we have a Diva that two years ago couldn’t speak a lick of comprehendable English during the Diva Search in 2006. Here we have a Diva that was best known for sitting in a bath tub. Here we have a Diva that for the best part of two years, we’ve all wondered either A) “Who the hell is she?” or B) “How the fuck is she still employed?” Well over the past couple of months, Maryse has finally been given some meat to chew on – now a regular in-ring competitor and in fact, it’s hard to believe that this was the same girl who was in that bath tub two years ago. When I watched her debut match with Cherry a couple of months ago, I was pleasantly surprised by her in-ring skills and she has provided solid efforts in all the matches she’s been involved in since then. I feel Maryse’s case is all the more extraordinary than the likes of Kelly, Layla and Michelle because for the better part of two years we barely knew she existed, let alone that she could wrestle!

Okay folks, there you have it. My feel good story of the day! Do you agree or disagree? Am I just blowing hot air that Maryse is a surprisingly pleasant addition to SmackDown or do you still see her as “that girl from the Diva Search” or “the bath tub girl?”

YouTube Classics: Chyna vs. Ivory

1

Welcome to the YouTube Classics! This week, with news of Chyna‘s possible return to the ring, our theme is “The 9th Wonder of the World”, showcasing memorable moments from Chyna’s WWE career. Today, we have Chyna vs. Ivory in a Women’s Title match from WrestleMania X7. Ivory was in the midst of her RTC gimmick, denouncing Chyna for posing for the cover of Playboy. Needless to say, Chyna posed a huge threat to Ivory’s Women’s Title reign when the two met up at WrestleMania:

Terri: I Can’t Stand An Actual Wrestling Match

18

The words of former WWE Diva, Terri Runnels are lingering in my head right now, “I just cannot stand having an actual wrestling match.” Though these comments can be misconstrued when taken out of context, that line – whatever the context – pisses me off. In an interview with the Baltimore Sun, Terri discussed how she would love another opportunity in WWE or in TNA:

“I would love to do something again, but my only thing is that I don’t want to wrestle,” she said. “It would have to be in a hosting/managing/valet/interview capacity. I have no problems a bump. When I would get to TV and Vince [McMahon] would say, ‘OK, Big Show is going to goozle you and throw you and you’re going to land on someone in the second row,’ I’d be like, ‘Awesome.’

“But if he would tell me, ‘Hey Terri, you’ve got a bikini paddle on the pole match with another girl,’ nothing against the other girls, because I so respect them and what they’ve trained to do, but I just cannot stand having an actual wrestling match. It’s just not for me. I love the big bump. I was the first female to be slammed through a table by The Dudleys — loved that, was stoked. Granted, it didn’t feel well the day after or the day after that or the day after that, but I was still very excited to do that bump.”

To me, these are the words of a washed up has-been trying to be relevant again. I was never really a fan of Terri’s nor did I dislike her, she was simply there. Between trying to stifle fans out of $1m and that line, Terri’s been on quite a roll over the past couple of months. That line leaves a really bad taste in my mouth and makes me wonder how the fuck did she last so long in the industry? Terri, please do us all a favour and fade gracefully into obscurity. You are not a “Diva legend” that deserves to be remembered, so stop trying to be relevant again.

DK Drops Divas

2

Looks like the Divas’ “bad girl” antics will be confined to the ring! It seems girl group, Danity Kane have dropped Divas Kelly Kelly, Layla, Maria, Melina and Mickie James from their latest video “Bad Girl”, their incredibly hot second single from the equally hot “Welcome to the Dollhouse” album. We reported back in May that the Divas were lined up to play antagonists to Diddy’s super group, but footage from behind the scenes at the video shoot shows no sighting of any of the Divas.

Whatever the weather, the song is still fierce as hell and the video will no doubt be hot with or without Divas!

SmackDown Spoilers – July 11, 2008

This week’s SmackDown spoilers are below, simply highlight the text to read!

Maryse & Natalya def. Cherry & Michelle McCool, Natalya picks up the win with a Sharpshooter on Cherry. After the match, Michelle tends to Cherry outside the ring when Natalya attacks her and hits her with a suplex on the floor.

Raw Redux – July 07, 2008

17

This week on Raw: Divas tag team action when Women’s Champion Mickie James teamed up with Raw’s newest Diva, Kelly Kelly to take on Jillian and Raw’s other newest Diva, Layla.

Thoughts & Reactions
“Raw stuck on bore.” Says it all really. While I am thoroughly enjoying Raw post-Draft, the women’s division – not so much. The quality of the product as a whole has shot up since the Draft show two weeks ago but it seems that all the emphasis on the other aspects of the show have led to a loss in quality and less attentiveness to the women’s division on Creative’s behalf. Last week’s Raw match between Mickie and Jillian was simply average and this week was more of the same – the Divas were only utilised to fill the weekly “Diva quota”, no storyline advancement here nor anything too interesting.

There is quite a lot to talk about this week though, first up is Kelly Kelly jumping from ECW to Raw. I believe this is solely due to the lack of faces on Raw at the moment, I guess it’s a wise move to make bringing in another face but why not call up a developmental Diva? I think that would have been much wiser, because let’s face it – moving someone two weeks after the Draft who wasn’t even drafted in the first place calls the point of the Draft into question! I much prefer Kelly as part of SmackDown, I think she was really developing and coming along great. This is a Diva that needs to be nurtured, I think she does have the potential to become the next Trish Stratus but she needs to be nurtured and cannot be thrown into impossible situations too soon. WWE rushed into giving Trish and Candice huge pushes but I had hoped they’d do things right with Kelly, only move her to Raw when she was truly ready. Alas, she is not. The perils of live television – all your flaws are exposed and Kelly was sloppy on Raw and it couldn’t be edited out. Kelly is best suited to SmackDown right now, where she can continue to grow. I had a little idea of my own for Kelly, I think she’s come a long way and I’m 90% certain she will be our 2009 Playboy covergirl; Kelly could be the first Diva to actually be worthy of a Playboy push. It’s a long time between now and WrestleMania, Kelly could have grown a lot more on SmackDown and then possibly challenge Natalya at WrestleMania for the Divas Championship and win. Unfortunately that won’t be happening now, still could but doubt it. Instead, Kelly is thrown into an environment I don’t think she’s ready for and I fear she will go the same way as Maria and Ashley before her, not improve anymore and be just another waste. Maria has potential but being on Raw for so long, she wasn’t able to realise it. Kelly has a lot of potential still but being on Raw hinders that, it’s not exactly a great environment for developing wrestlers. I did quite like the whole explanation for her moving to Raw, the line “We have contracts?” can be interpreted as, “We’re not bothered to think of a logical explanation.”

The other focus is Jillian. Are they just delivering us average matches to fill a Diva quota or are they actually planning on pushing Jillian? Because using her on Raw for two weeks in a row is something that seldom occurs. I do believe it’s the former, I don’t think WWE is putting any attention into the Raw women’s division and is simply filling a quota. There’s no big push for Jillian and in fact, while she is getting on TV more, it’s for the wrong reasons rather than the right reasons. Let’sface it, WWE doesn’t care about Jillian and will never really give her character a refresher or give her a chance to be a top Diva. She is a laughing stock.

As for the match, it was average again. Sloppy in-ring work for Kelly, not much else that’s memorable. All the focus was on Kelly that they nearly forgot that Layla, too is new to Raw. Poor Layla, she had finally escaped from underneath Kelly’s shadow only to have the shadow follow her. Layla was unceremoniously ignored on Raw, she didn’t even get any ring time. Even Michael Cole forgot to mention that she was new on Raw too after the “explaining” of Kelly’s move from ECW, Cole added that Layla joined Raw during the Supplemental Draft merely as an afterthought.

Raw’s women’s division is a holding pattern right now, I do think Creative will finally turn their attention to the Divas after the post-Draft honeymoon period is over. Right now they’re working so diligently on making the rest of the product “must see”, the Divas aren’t their top priority. Whatever happened to the Katie-Mickie feud? Where is Beth Phoenix? Is there any use asking? Poor Beth is probably on the shelf until WWE find something to do with her since Melina‘s injured, kudos to them for not just giving us “Mickie-Beth: To Infinity and Beyond”, which would have been the easy option given there’s only a handful of Divas on Raw right now.

Divas Championship Intended For Torrie

Word has spread on the ‘net that the Divas Championship has been in the making for over a year now! WWE had originally intended to launch the title in 2007 after re-acquiring Torrie Wilson during the WWE Draft. It seems Torrie was in line to be the very first Divas Champion *le sigh*

Of course, Torrie and Victoria were drafted to SmackDown during the WWE Draft last year, possibly in anticipation? What do you think of the news? Do you prefer the current plans or would you (like me) had loved to have seen Torrie realise the dream of a career?

Eve is Perfection in Pink

3

Eve Torres is barely on my radar – in fact, I thought she was on ECW for some time. Someone had to correct me, informing me that she was actually on SmackDown. Now, I’m not the most attentive person, but that says volumes about how Eve is used on TV. It makes one wonder why they insist on continuing with the Diva Search if their winners do next to nothing on TV while “training” behind the scenes. Seems pointless to me to hire girls that require at least 2 years of training to be anywhere near TV-ready. Just hire proven wrestlers and you skip a step!

But anywho, I’m really liking this shoot – Eve looks quite pretty. Perhaps that’s why it’s called “Perfect in Pink”? That shade of pink suits her, I’d say, and the gold accessories work as well. Eve seems to be very good at not looking “drag queen-esque”, as many a Diva has fallen victim to. So to recap, she looks pretty, but can’t do much aside from hold a microphone. Yep, sounds like that Diva Search investment is paying off!

Kelly Kelly Gets Raw

28

In case you missed Raw last night, Kelly Kelly has officially joined the Raw roster. I guess the move was made to counteract the lack of faces on Raw at the moment. I’m not sure how I feel about this, sure Raw could use another face but I felt Kelly was making strides on SmackDown/ECW and moving her to Raw will just stalwart her improvement. Kelly, while impressive, is still very green in the ring and there was no hiding that on live television as her flaws were out in the open for everyone to see last night.

YouTube Classics: Chyna vs. Eddie Guerrero

3

Welcome to the YouTube Classics! This week, with news of Chyna‘s possible return to the ring, our theme is “The 9th Wonder of the World”, showcasing memorable moments from Chyna’s WWE career. Today, we have Chyna vs. Eddie Guerrero in the 2000 King of the Ring qualifying match. Chyna and Eddie were on the rocks, and this match only served to worsen their relationship. This storyline was one of Chyna’s best – it showed her vulnerability and provided for some pretty damn entertaining moments.

Moose Makes YouTube

3

TNA Knockout Moose aka Mickie Knuckles‘ horrific leg break has made it onto YouTube. You can check out the video below; according to reports today, Mickie has had surgery on her leg. We would once again like to wish Mickie our best wishes.

Natalya Keeps it Simple

3

Natalya is on her way to The Great American Bash to potentially become SmackDown’s first Divas Champion, and she’s clearly stepping up her game in every facet – even photoshoots! Take a look at this one for example – “Best in Black”. She keeps it simple, donning a gorgeous LBD and wearing her hair straight (if a little disheveled). She seems to have gotten the hang of posing too, mixing it up without overdoing it.

The look isn’t very “Natalya-esque”, I’d say. She just doesn’t usually dress so feminine. I’m liking it, though. She’s showing that you can dress feminine in the WWE without showing all your bits and pieces, although she must have one hell of a pushup bra on, because those puppies don’t sit like that naturally. I’ll look past the boobage, though, because I really dig this shoot. Her waist is looking rather bare though, isn’t it? Perhaps she’ll have that godawful-looking belt to occupy that space soon..

Summer Sizzler Series: Torrie Wilson in “Tropical Pleasures”

3

TORRIE WILSON IN “TROPICAL PLEASURES”

Welcome to the return of our new summer feature – the Summer Sizzler Series! (and for those in the know, yes, I “borrowed” it from OVW :P) Today, we have Torrie Wilson‘s segment from the “Tropical Pleasures” DVD from 2002. Enjoy the HQ video and stills!

Bad Break For Knockout Moose

2

TNA’s newest Knockout, Moose has been making waves in the past two weeks defeating ODB and Roxxi in in “Bimbo Brawls” that have received very positive reviews. Unfortunately, Moose – real name Mickie Knuckles – broke her leg last night working for an independent promotion, IWA Mid-South. Mickie broke her leg when she jumped off a high platform with all the weight landing on one leg in a similar fashion to Sid Vicious’ broken ankle in WCW some years back.

Mickie was wrestling independent worker Sara Del Ray on the show, which was ended after Moose hurt herself. This does leave in doubt Mickie’s TNA career, Moose has only just joined the company full time and if the past two weeks are anything to go by – she was receiving one of the biggest pushes of any Knockout since Awesome Kong. Diva Dirt would just like to send our best wishes to Mickie, get well soon!

Style Showdown: A Battle Between Beautiful People

10

Welcome to Diva Dirt’s Style Showdown! Last time on the Showdown, we had a pre-Night of Champions matchup, pitting Mickie James against Katie Lea, with both donning their in-ring best. Mickie, as at the PPV, was victorious, garnering 81 votes, while Katie Lea only drew 55 of her own. Looks like you guys prefer Mickie’s punchy colors over Katie’s more subdued look.

This week, we’ve decided to inject a little TNA flavor into our Showdown. Angelina Love and Velvet Sky, known to TNA fans as The Beautiful People, are famous for their “paper-bagging” of foes, a unique way of combining insult and injury. However, I’m not concerned with their partnership at the moment – I’m more curious as to who has the better style. Is it Angelina and her bustiers or Velvet and her fishnets? Clearly, they share a love for fingerless gloves, but each have their own unique style. Which side of this dangerous duo do you prefer?

TNA Impact Redux For 7/3/08

6

impact redux

Today Kicks off Diva Dirt’s first “Impact Redux”, brought to you by yours truly, Doug. Most of the TNA Knockouts were shown throughout the show, including: Angelina Love, Velvet Sky, Roxxi, Moose, Taylor, Raisha Saeed, Awesome Kong, Karen Angle and Salinas, who all made for an interesting event.

Thoughts & Reactions
Roxxi vs. Moose:
The first set of Knockouts shown, I believe were Roxxi and Moose in a “Bimbo Brawl”. Moose entered first with her shopping cart of weapons, while Roxxi entered second with a chair. The match was utterly brutal, with Roxxi getting hit upside the head with two pans, and a “Yield” sign. Moose also took a beating, getting thrown into her shopping cart, and than getting a nasty baseball slide by Roxxi. The match ended when Moose set up the “Yield” sign on the mat, and planted Roxxi with a double underhook DDT on top of it. Roxxi was shown with a large cut on her forehead, and was bleeding pretty badly.

Overall, the match was pretty well done. Both ladies had great chemistry with one another, making the overall atmosphere pretty bitter. Roxxi and Moose each got their fair share of blows, and each showed an incredible amount of skill throughout.

Chyna Getting Back On Track?

6

Mainstream America has Britney and we wrestling fans have Chyna! The former Intercontinental and Women’s Champion has had a whirlwind seven years since leaving WWE in 2001 and it’s fair to say that her life likened a train wreck. Well in a recent interview, Chyna seemed far more composed and looked pretty good compared to what we’ve seen of her in the past few years. Could the former Diva be getting her life back on track? Over the past 7 years, she has been the center of a sex tape, drugs scandals and loads more – in fact, so much more that I can’t keep count. But from the looks of this video, Chyna is getting back on track and has her head screwed on.

I was a big fan of Chyna during her WWE career and I truly welcome this change, I hope she is able to keep it up because she looks and sounds like she’s doing good. If she keeps this up, I think she could make major bank from an in-ring return in the next year or so. Anyway, bravo Chyna! Check it out below:

SmackDown Redux – July 04, 2008

This week on SmackDown: The Divas once again battled it out in a “Golden Dreams Match” to determine Natalya‘s opponent for the Divas Championship, which was ultimately won by Michelle McCool. Meanwhile, Vickie Guerrero gave an showstopping performance with Edge.

Thoughts & Reactions
In a July the Fourth episode of SmackDown, the metaphorical fireworks were let off! Finally we got some development in the Divas Championship saga after the title was jilted from the Night of Champions card, Michelle McCool won a second “Golden Dreams Match” to face Natalya for the title in future. And in all honesty, were you actually expecting anyone other than Michelle to win this one? So now what we have all assumed over the past few weeks will become a reality – Michelle vs Natalya for the gold, I can’t wait! But as for last night’s deciding match, I felt this was very well put together and much better than the first “Golden Dreams” which was won by Natalya last month. This match seemed to be more choreographed with all the individuals involved given some time to shine, I guess the fact there were fewer Divas in this match helped. The match was far more memorable and worked really well on the whole.

It’s interesting to note that Michelle, while she won the match, was more or less being thrown out of the ring for the majority of the match. The real in-ring work was done by the likes of Maryse and Kelly Kelly, Michelle seemed to take more of a backseat – which was kinda cool. I guess because we all pretty much knew Michelle would win, they created a twist by having her not as dominant and letting the other Divas do the spots where they climb the pole and stuff. More interesting was all the face-on-face action, I believe Michelle knocked her best friend, Cherry off the ring apron and later was seen with Kelly on the outside. Again, this creates a cool feeling and shows how much these Divas want that title!

My favourite spot of the match, somewhat harkens back to Kelly Kelly’s insane bump a few weeks back – when Victoria hit the ring apron mouth first. It looked pretty real and was an “ouch moment” in itself. I couldn’t help but laugh at her reaction afterwards with the “Oh my God.” Victoria’s BFF, Natalya was on commentary for this bout sporting her hot new auburn hair colour. Natalya seemed a little on edge however, a little nervous but seemed to carry herself sufficiently enough. I think there is a danger of Natalya sounding too personable on commentary and also in her blogs at WWE Fan Nation, as she is meant to be a heel. I personally don’t mind it, I think she comes across a genuinely nice person through her blogs but there is a character to uphold.

We don’t usually cover Vickie in the Redux, but this week I felt as though Vickie gave a pretty powerful performance on SmackDown. Not that i’m calling for her to win an Oscar or anything, but her backstage segments with Edge she really came across believable and there was an intensity in her acting. However the final scene with her screaming the building down? Not so much.

PS, Maria will be coming soon to SmackDown. I think I said everything there is to say in an earlier post, but anyway I think they should run these commercials for a week or so longer and then have her debut.

Gladiator Inferno Gets Loaded

8

Time to fill our “miscellaneous” quota for the month! Here is former WWE Diva hopeful, Jemma Palmer who is now known as Inferno on the hit British reboot of Gladiators as you’ve never seen her before! The Brit is a trained wrestler who auditioned in 2005 for a WWE contract when they were in the UK. It was from those tryouts that WWE hired current Raw Diva, Katie Lea. Unfortunately for Jemma, she wasn’t picked up by WWE but has found nationwide success on Gladiators, Inferno is cashing in with this revealing spread in Loaded magazine.

I don’t know about you but it seems to me that Jemma has the Diva look down pat, she is certainly willing to show some skin! And unlike some of our current crop, Jemma is quite the wrestler also:

Jemma is a wrestler, trained by the team behind Ultimate Warrior, having won a scholarship with Ultimate Pro Wrestling. She was also invited to be a WWE Diva Search finalist and was a Musclemania finalist and fitness competitor. Jemma has been a Miss Hawaiian Tropic finalist, a Ms USA Dream Bikini Body finalist, a Maxim Little Black Book UK top three winner and a Miss Maxim UK finalist. She also has a purple belt in submission wrestling.

Check out the pictures below! What do you think? Has WWE missed the boat on this fiery redhead?

Maria Gets Hype for SmackDown Move

41

Just as I suspected (and told Erin over MSN yesterday), WWE is hyping Maria‘s move to SmackDown with “coming soon” promos, something not often used for the Divas. Only a handful of Divas in years past have received such hype but I think it’s great way to introduce Maria to SmackDown.

Whether you’re a fan or not, there’s no denying that Maria is one of WWE’s most bankable Divas and will add some name value to the SmackDown women’s division. Hyping her debut is a wise move by WWE and I’m actually glad they’re doing this rather than have her debut in last night’s “Golden Dreams Match.” I was going to put this in the SmackDown Redux but I think it fits here just fine; I felt having Maria in last night’s SmackDown match would be unfair on the other Divas who have wrestled and been part of the Divas Championship storyline over the past month. Plus it would also hurt Maria, because I think everyone knew Michelle McCool would be Natalya‘s eventual opponent. Maria – who is a pretty big star among the Divas and will no doubt join Michelle as the two top babyfaces of the brand – coming to SmackDown with little fanfare and losing her first match would hurt her in the long run. This way they protect Maria, so when she eventually debuts she can be a top babyface for SmackDown but she would also be introduced in a fresh environment.

Now that the contenders for the Divas Championship have been announced – from next week and going forward, WWE can plan new storylines for the other Divas. Maria coming in at this time would give her greater benefit as all the other Divas (except Michelle and Natalya) need new storylines too, I would love to see Maria’s first feud be with Victoria and have that be a secondary feud to the Michelle-Natalya feud over the next few weeks. That’ll build up Maria nicely as a face and she can eventually get involved in the title picture once Michelle vs Natalya has run it’s course.

Anyhoo, check out the video package below:

Second Impressions?

They say first impressions count, but what about second impressions? Here is a more clear look at the newly created Divas Championship direct from WWE.com itself. Have your initial impressions changed or is the Divas Championship still gaudy as hell? Sound off in the comments!

Natalya’s Impressive With a Pen Too!

3

It’s no secret that I’m a big fan of third generation Diva, Natalya, oh what an impact she has made in just three short months! And now with the launch of her own Fan Nation page, Natalya proves that not only is she gifted in the ring – but she’s a pretty darn good writer too! Me thinks if Natalya’s career ever gets cut short (God forbid) she has a career in Journalism!

Read Natalya’s latest blog which was posted last night, in which she talks about the Divas Championship and her new hair colour below:

Hey, guys! I am excited to write you all again so soon…I am sure by now all of you have seen the debut of my new hair color on Smackdown. I decided that I wanted to really be bold and do something to stand out from the other divas.

To be honest, I was nervous of leaving my blonde locks behind, because I have always been blonde. But, I decided to do it with the attitude that “change is good!”

I took a deep breath and dove right.in..which is exactly what a third generation diva does in the ring, too! It takes courage to change, to step up to the plate and take the unbeaten path. It’s not just about your hair color, either. It’s about being you! I feel like that is one of the best parts about being in the WWE… that our differences and “idiosyncracies” are valued and celebrated.

More after the cut:

Melina: Surgically Repaired

7

Injured Diva Melina‘s on-and-off beau, John Morrison updated us on the A-Lister’s recovery in a MySpace blog. One half of the current WWE Tag Team Champions, Morrison wrote that Melina has had successful surgery and will be in a cast for a few months eek. Read below:

So aside from that here’s what’s really on my mind. The most talented Diva in WWE was injured last week on the Monday Night RAW Draft show. In case you don’t know I’m talking about Melina.

Melina fractured her calcaneus bone (heel bone) in three places. Three days ago, she had surgery to put everything in her foot back where it’s supposed to be… and knowing her, she’s gonna need it to kick ass when she comes back. After some screws and a titanium plate Melina was released with a good prognosis. She’s in exceptionally good spirits for someone who’s going to be in a cast for the next few months.

Once again, our best wishes to Melina!

YouTube Classics: Mickie vs. Beth vs. Melina

0

Welcome to the YouTube Classics! This week, with Mickie James‘s big win at Night of Champions, our theme is “Hey Mickie!”, featuring some of Mickie James’s most memorable moments. Today, we have Mickie James vs. Melina vs. Beth Phoenix on the December 31st, 2008 RAW. It’s rare to see one of the year’s best matches towards the end of the year, much less on the final day! The three Divas faced off in the triple threat match for the Women’s Title, putting on a showstopper of a match to cap off 2007.

Gaudy Divas Championship Unveiled

Above is a look at the new Divas Chaampionship, to be unveiled on this week’s episode of SmackDown. If there was ever a word to describe the title it would be G-A-U-D-Y, gaudy. Definition below:

gaud·y1 /?g?di/ Pronunciation[gaw-dee]
–adjective, gaud·i·er, gaud·i·est.
1. brilliantly or excessively showy: gaudy plumage.
2. cheaply showy in a tasteless way; flashy.
3. ostentatiously ornamented; garish.

Pretty much sums it up. And I thought Mariah Carey’s obsession with butterflies was a little odd, this just takes the cake. I’ll probably pee myself laughing if I see this around the waist of Victoria or Natalya. It’s about as classy as Snoop Dogg’s pimp cup…

Happy Fourth of July!

0

To all our readers celebrating Independence Day today and the big 4th of July weekend, we hope you have a great weekend! You can be sure we’ll be serving up our usual slice of metaphorical pie to tide you over if you’re stuck at home or if the case be that you’re simply not celebrating!

PS: Those of you seeing Hancock this weekend, do comment and tell us what you think. As much as I love Will Smith, this blogger wasn’t a big fan.
