Becky Lynch Hopes To Fight On Both Nights Of WrestleMania 39

0

Becky Lynch is hoping to have two matches this year at WrestleMania 39.

The biggest show of the year takes place this weekend and Lynch already knows that she will have one match which is a six-woman tag team match. The WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion will team up with her co-champion Lita as well as Trish Stratus to take on all three members of Damage CTRL. But what does she want to do on the second night?

While speaking on the Tommy Tiernan Show, Lynch states – “I’m going in first night, I believe, in a six-woman match. And then, because I’m Tag Team Champion, I’m hoping that I will be defending my title the second night, too. So ‘Becky Two Fights,’ they’ll call me.” (h/t – Wrestling Inc.)

With Lynch believing she will have the six-woman tag team match on night one, this can open the door for her and Lita to defend on night two. If that is the case, they may very well be facing the winners of the WrestleMania Showcase Fatal Four Way Tag Team Match.

As of now, three out of the four teams have been confirmed without it being said the winner will earn a tag team title bout. The teams so far are Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler, Raquel Rodriguez & Liv Morgan, and Shotzi & Natalya. The fourth team will likely be confirmed on the March 27 Raw.

Lynch will be joining Lita and Stratus on Miz TV on tonight’s Raw event.

Would you like to see another match get added to WrestleMania for the women on night two? Discuss below.

Alexa Bliss Says She Will Be At WrestleMania 39 – Unsure What That Will Lead To

Alexa Bliss has been out of action since she took on Bianca Belair in January at the Royal Rumble event for the Raw Women’s Championship. She came out of that event unsuccessful and had a message from Uncle Howdy to finish her segment. Fans haven’t seen her since. In a recent interview with Cinemablend she has confirmed that she will be at the arena for WrestleMania 39 despite not having a match on the card.

“I will be in L.A. for WrestleMania. I will be at the arena. Who knows what that leads to? Because, you know, in WWE, you never know what’s going to happen. It’s the company where you always expect the unexpected. We’ll have to see,” says Bliss.

We know now that she had to have a skin procedure done to her face and also, she participated on this season of The Masked Singer. When it comes to the skin procedure, she already stated she is “all clear.”

On her recovery time – “Oh it’s short. Like, I got my stitches, I don’t know if you can see my stitches right here. Those come out in a week.”

Perhaps Bliss will make an appearance at the event in some capacity? WrestleMania 39 takes place this weekend on April 1 & April 2.

Stacy Keibler To Be Inducted Into 2023 WWE Hall Of Fame Class

Stacy Keibler will be this year’s female inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame Class.

As first announced by PEOPLE, Keibler will take part in the 2023 class and she was interviewed about the announcement.

“I never thought I would be in the Hall of Fame, to be honest,” she tells PEOPLE. “I was completely shocked when I got the call. I had tears in my eyes. My husband’s coming, my husband’s family’s coming, my family, my kids. We have friends coming from L.A., from Austin. So it’s really exciting because a lot of these people didn’t get to see me in action. I get tears in my eyes every time. How am I going to keep it together? I got to keep it together.

“The fans are the ones that made it possible. I owe so much to them for getting me to this point in my career. I’ve spent time just reflecting, and I feel so lucky to have this extraordinary time with the organization, the community, but most of all the fans. And it’s shaped my life, and there’s nothing else that can get me more excited in the exact same way as being live in front of the WWE fans. Their passion is contagious. So I’m just so excited.”

Keibler started her wrestling career in WCW as a member of the Nitro Girls under the name of Skye. She is also a former Baltimore Ravens football cheerleader for the state of Maryland. In 2021 during the WCW/WWF Invasion, Keibler made her way over tO WWF and worked with WWF/WWE for the next five years before moving on in 2006. She had various storylines including Mr. McMahon’s personal assistant, an alliance with Test, the Duchess of Dudleyville, and Super Stacy just to name a few.

Her last appearance for WWE was in 2019 when she inducted Torrie Wilson into the Hall of Fame.

Congratulations to Stacy Keibler for her induction!

Road To WrestleMania 39: Rhea Ripley vs. Charlotte Flair

0

“If you didn’t know the future of women’s wrestling is Rhea Ripley, now you know.” – Trish Stratus

WWE WrestleMania 39 is set to feature the latest chapter in the rivalry between Rhea Ripley and Charlotte Flair when “The Nightmare” challenges “The Queen” for the SmackDown Women’s Championship. It wasn’t a rematch that many fans had on their radar until Ripley won the Royal Rumble and selected Flair as the champion she wanted to face at the “Show of Shows.” But in hindsight, it’s absolutely a rematch that should be happening now.

2019 marked a major turning point for Ripley as she transitioned from NXT UK over to NXT and was warmly welcomed by Full Sail fans, setting her up to be the next face of the women’s division. The lead up to Survivor Series was even more crucial as Ripley had her hands full leading the charge for both a WarGames match and a 15-woman Survivor Series tag bout. During a November episode of SmackDown, Ripley — still considered a rookie — was thrown into a triple threat match against decorated former champions Charlotte Flair and Sasha Banks. As it played out, Ripley pinned Flair for the upset victory.

From there, Ripley pinned Shayna Baszler inside WarGames and then pinned Banks the next night at Survivor Series to keep her momentum rolling. Less than a month later, Ripley pulled off what few had been able to do when she slammed Baszler with a Riptide off the top rope and pinned her to capture her first NXT Women’s Championship.

Ripley walked into 2020 with her confidence so high that she laid out a bold challenge. After Flair won the Royal Rumble, Ripley appeared on Raw to confront her. The surprise meeting ultimately led to Flair officially declaring she would challenge for the NXT title at WrestleMania 36.

The world had other plans for WrestleMania 36, though, when the pandemic forced the event to relocate from Raymond James Stadium in Tampa to WWE’s own Performance Center with no fans in attendance. But that didn’t stop Ripley and Flair from brutalizing each other in the opening match of the second night. Both women walked into that match confident in their own capabilities as Flair didn’t bother watching Ripley walk down the entrance ramp, while Ripley managed to hit Flair with a Riptide just minutes into their encounter.

Unfortunately for the champ, Flair’s experience proved to be vital as she weakened Ripley’s leg for several minutes before making her tap to the Figure Eight. Charlotte was champion again. Ripley’s confidence was crushed. The climb back up for the Australian star was far from easy.

After Io Shirai beat Ripley and Flair to win the NXT Women’s title that summer, the WrestleMania rivals didn’t meet again until the 2021 women’s Royal Rumble match. The final three came down to Bianca Belair, Ripley, and Flair — the same trio who occupied the NXT title picture a year before. Flair, though, was outnumbered when Ripley and Belair united to eliminate her in emphatic fashion.

Despite losing, Flair seemed poised to challenge her former tag team partner Asuka at WrestleMania 37 for the Raw Women’s title. However, “The Queen” disappeared from storylines just weeks out from the grand event, leaving Asuka without a challenger… until “The Nightmare” seized the opportunity.

At WrestleMania 37 in Raymond James Stadium, Ripley righted her wrongs when she planted Asuka into the mat for a three-count in order to win her first Raw Women’s Championship. The only issue was, Asuka wasn’t Charlotte.

Charlotte did return following Mania and inserted herself into Ripley-Asuka to set up a triple threat at Backlash where Ripley once again pinned Asuka. Flair, still determined, challenged Ripley again at Hell in a Cell, but the bout ended in disqualification.

The two rematched at Money in the Bank, the first premium live event with fans back full-time. It was almost poetic as fans were back to witness Ripley finally beat Flair once and for all… except it was Flair who was victorious by submission yet again. The following night on Raw, Nikki A.S.H. cashed in her Money in the Bank contract to win the title from Charlotte. The trio met at SummerSlam, but Ripley still didn’t win. Event at the 2022 Royal Rumble, Flair eliminated Ripley and any chances she had of facing her at WrestleMania once again.

Photo: WWE

Then we arrive at January 30, 2023. Ripley has evolved even further as a member of The Judgment Day. She outlasted all 29 women to win her first Rumble. And she had two options: set her sights on Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair, or seek redemption as the hero of her own blockbuster in Hollywood. The story wrote itself.

Flair may currently be portraying a babyface on television these days, but those who have been following Ripley’s journey know who the real protagonist is. Whether or not her last name had anything to do with it, Charlotte has made plenty of history over the last decade. Meanwhile, Ripley has carved out her own path by winning every major title except the one Flair currently holds.

If Charlotte Flair thinks she’s ready for this version of Rhea Ripley, she’s bloody wrong. WrestleMania 39 might as well be called Judgment Day as it will mark the place where Ripley finally defeats Flair in an act of revenge for what happened three long years prior.

Do you think it’s time Ripley beats Flair? Or does The Queendom live to see another day? Sound off with your thoughts in the comments below!

DD Power 15: Mar. 19 to Mar. 25

0

Welcome to this week’s Power 15 Rankings curated by us here at Diva-Dirt. This week we are reviewing women’s action across several companies.

As well as the 15 women featured, two wildcards will be featured each week chosen by Nick and Gary. These wildcards are for women who didn’t quite make the ranking but are ones to watch for the week ahead. Without further ado, let’s get in to it.

Please Note: This list is subjective to us at Diva Dirt. We encourage our readers for respectful and enjoyable conversations.

Gary’s Wildcard – Ava

Something that fans have been waiting for since Thea Hail took her out at ringside, Ava’s in-ring debut is inching ever closer.

This week Ava appeared alongside The Schism in the debate with Chase U when the match that will decide the fate of Chase U once and for all.

There is a lot of pressure going in to your first ever match let alone on a big event during Wrestlemania weekend and a family lineage that you will undoubtedly be compared to. I am in full support in Ava (and Hail) working together to deliver.

Nick’s Wildcard – Jody Threat

Impact continues to grow its roster of women with the announcement at Sacrifice that Canadian wrestler will be joining the Knockouts Division.

Threat is a rising star in the independent wrestling scene and a very welcome addition to the Impact locker room. Getting her own vignette airing during Sacrifice shows they are willing to get behind her prior to her debut.

Mickie James Addresses Her Future; Tasha Steelz Returns; Jody Threat Coming To IMPACT

Mickie James has a broken rib and a new Knockout is coming soon. Here’s what you missed from IMPACT Sacrifice.

Knockouts World Champion Mickie James announced in a backstage segment with Gia Miller and Santino Marella that she is briefly out of action with a broken rib and won’t be able to compete at Multiverse United. Marella announced that at Rebellion, Jordynne Grace will face the winner of Purrazzo vs. Shaw vs. Yamashita for the Knockouts title. If James is cleared, she will be added to make it a three-way.

In Knockouts action, Deonna Purrazzo defeated Gisele Shaw in a physical rematch from No Surrender. However, her celebration once again did not last long as Savannah Evans hit the ring to take beat Purrazzo down. Tasha Steelz then made her return in her first appearance since walking away from Evans in January. Steelz teased realigning with Evans only to attack her to make the save for Purrazzo.

Earlier in the night, Rosemary was victorious over KiLynn King on the Countdown pre-show.

We also saw a vignette for Canadian indie wrestler Jody Threat who is “coming soon” to IMPACT.

Two More Teams Added To WrestleMania Showcase Match

Two more teams were added to the upcoming WrestleMania Showcase for next weekend. The match will be a Fatal Four-way and we already knew that Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez will be one of those teams. They qualified after defeating Emma and Tegan Nox last week.

On the March 24 episode of SmackDown, the team of Shotzi and Natalya qualified after defeating Lacey Evans and Xia Li. The final moments of the match had Evans mistakenly hitting Li with the Woman’s Right instead of landing it on Shotzi. Natalya would tag in to get the submission victory on Li with the Sharpshooter.

Post-match, Morgan and Rodriguez who were sitting at ringside would hop on the apron to congratulate Natalya and Shotzi. Ronda Rousey’s music hit and both her and Shayna Baszler mad their way out. Baszler stated that all four women in the ring have reason to want to come after herself and Rousey.

Baszler suggested to go after the two teams now but Rousey stopped her saying they don’t need to do this in Las Vegas. Baszler confirmed that both she and Rousey have also been entered into the WrestleMania Showcase.

Charlotte Flair had a promo which can be watched below –

Miz TV Segment Set For Raw With Women’s Tag Team Champions

0

The last Raw before we make it to WrestleMania will have a Miz TV segment that will include the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Becky Lynch and Lita. Trish Stratus will also be present as all three women have a WrestleMania match against all three members of Damage CTRL.

On the March 20 episode of Raw, Bayley took on Rhea Ripley in a losing effort when Lita/Lynch/Stratus came to ringside to be the distraction. They also were there to even the odds with Dakota Kai and IYO SKY at ringside.

Check back in with Diva Dirt to talk about the go-home episode of Raw live during the Discussion Post.

SmackDown Discussion Post: 03.24.23

There probably won’t be much to talk about, but here you go.

Ronda Rousey States Doctors Will Not Let Her Wrestle Due To Injury

0

Ronda Rousey will not be able to make it to WrestleMania afterall.

Confirming the news herself on her Instagram, she states that she fractured her elbow at her last WWE Live show in Rockford, Illinois by simply slapping the mat. The last we saw of Rousey was on-screen in an arm sling a few weeks ago.

She states – “The only thing saving these chicks now are the doctors not letting me compete. Well ladies, they can’t keep me away forever, I’m not moping, vengeance is coming.”

The expected plan by fans was that Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler would enter as a team into the women’s WrestleMania Showcase that has been announced. Currently, being just one week away from WrestleMania 39, that Fatal Four Way match only has one team in it and that is Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan. Will this match continue now that one of the formed teams cannot compete?

Carmella and Chelsea Green were presumed for the match as well; however, Carmella was not at last week’s Raw (replaced in a match by Piper Niven) for an undisclosed reason.

Check back in with Diva Dirt for any further news on the WrestleMania Showcase match.

Cora Jade Reportedly Sidelined With Undisclosed Injury

0

It is being reported by the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that NXT Superstar Cora Jade has been sidelined with an undisclosed injury.

The last time we saw Jade in a match on NXT programming was back in January for New Year’s Evil where she competed in the number one contender Battle Royal. During this match she started a feud with Lyra Valkyria and was set to continue to feud in a singles match the week after. That match did not take place and we have not seen Jade since. She wrestled one live event since in January against Roxanne Perez in a losing effort.

Since then, Jade has been sharing photos of her time on the indie scene as Elayna Black. The only comment she has made about her status is she will return when she is ready. She has previously changed her profile photo on Twitter to just black and currently has deactivated her account.

Diva Dirt sends our best wishes to Cora and hope to see her back in the ring when she is ready.

KAIRI Confirms Free Agent Status, Wants To Wrestle AEW And WWE Talent

0

KAIRI has confirmed that she is a free agent.

The talent who has been recently working with STARDOM sat down with Steve Fall from Ten Count for an in-depth interview. KAIRI previously worked in Japan but also was known as Kairi Sane when she had her run with WWE. She is a former NXT Women’s Champion as well as a former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion with the promotion. During her current run in Japan, KAIRI became the inaugural IWGP Women’s Champion for NJPW. A title she lost last month the Mercedes Mone.

When asked if she was currently contracted with any promotion, KAIRI’s translator stated the following –

“She’s a free agent. She would like to go anywhere possible. She would like to go to the US if there’s a chance to go back again. She’s a free agent,” KAIRI’s translator said.

In addition to her free agent status, KAIRI said the following names are ones she would like to face –

From AEW she would like to wrestle Saraya, Toni Storm, and the current AEW Women’s World Champion Jamie Hayter. There are some from WWE whom she has already wrestled that she would like to share the ring with again – Asuka, IYO SKY, Shayna Baszler, and Bayley.

STARDOM’s current World of Stardom Champion Giulia has also mentioned wanting to wrestle KAIRI.

You can watch the full interview with KAIRI below –

Mickie James Unable To Compete At IMPACT Sacrifice Due To Injury

Knockouts World Champion Mickie James had her hands full on this week’s IMPACT Wrestling when she teamed with Tommy Dreamer to take on Masha Slamovich and Bully Ray.

Traditional mixed tag rules were not at play here as every person was legal to wrestler whomever. As a result, Bully Ray was able to beat Mickie up a few times and there were brief interactions between Masha and Dreamer. At the end, though Bully hit Dreamer with a piledriver to score the win for his team.

After, Bully and Masha prepared to put Mickie through a table when Jordynne Grace ran down to make the save. Unfortunately, she ended up inadvertently spearing James and left her laid out just 24 hours before their scheduled rematch.

Unfortunately, IMPACT broke the news following Thursday’s show that James is injured. As a result, the Knockouts title situation will be addressed Friday night at Sacrifice.

Earlier in the night, Deonna Purrazzo found herself as the underdog against Savannah Evans. “The Cannibal” dominated a majority of their match and was able to showcase more of her offense as “The Virtuosa” found herself having to fight back in the babyface role.

When Jai Vidal and Gisele Shaw attempted to interfere on the apron, it backfired as Evans accidentally booted Vidal. Purrazzo was able to hit Evans with a Crucifix Bomb for the win, but her celebration was cut short by Evans and Shaw attacking her to make a statement.

We also saw a vignette from The Coven, which set up another backstage segment later with The Death Dollz. Jessicka wanted to fight against The Coven’s magic, to which Valkyrie tried stopping her. They stumbled upon a casket. Taya tried getting Jessicka to leave it alone, but a hand emerged and sucked Taya in to effectively write her off.

Naomi took to social media to promote her appearance at WrestleCon under her real name. In the comments she responded “no frien’” after she was asked if she is still with WWE. Unlike Banks, Naomi’s profile is still listed on the active roster on WWE.com.

Diva Dirt wishes the best for Naomi with whatever her future holds.

Toni Storm Outlasts Skye Blue On AEW Dynamite; Taya Valkyrie Match Set For Rampage

This week’s AEW Dynamite saw Skye Blue take on Toni Storm.

Skye brought it to Storm at the start, getting in a flurry of offense. That all changed when Storm clipped her on the turnbuckle and then knocked her out of the ring with a hip attack. Despite that, Blue managed to sucker punch Soho at ringside.

After the break, Blue continued to showcase her offense until Storm took her down with a tornado DDT. Blue managed to hit Code Blue, but Soho distracted the referee. Storm finished it off with Storm Zero to seal the deal.

Post-match, Riho (with a pipe in hand) and Willow Nightingale ran down to chase The Outcasts off from doing anymore damage to Blue.

Earlier in the night, TBS Champion Jade Cargill and Mark Sterling appeared backstage and revealed that they have a cease and desist for Taya Valkyrie “stealing” Cargill’s Jaded finisher. Leila Grey announced she’ll deliver it on this Saturday’s special edition of Rampage where she will go one-on-one with “La Wera Loca.”

Ahead of her unmasking, the clues alluded to Bliss’ cheerleading past, her time on Total Divas, her eating disorder at a young age, and her being a professional wrestler. Once unmasked, Bliss said how important this moment was for her because she always had stage fright when it came to her singing voice. She even admitted to crying backstage before performing.

When fans started showing concern, Bliss ensured them that she is good but recommended people to get their skin checked.

“There was a spot on my face yes- that had gotten worse. So went to get biopsy. Was basal cell carcinoma. During my procedure doc also found other squamous cells. Was a quick and easy procedure. Glad I always get my skin checked.”

Rhea Ripley Speaks On Entitled Fans Who Harass WWE Talent At Airports For Autographs

0

Rhea Ripley is speaking out about the constant problem of those at airports that are harassing WWE Superstars merely to get signatures just to turn around and sell the memorabilia. There is a big difference between genuine fans who just want an autograph from their favorite wrestler as opposed to the sharks that hunt for autographs just to sell.

On March 20, Ripley tweeted the following on social media –

After she posted about the situation, Ripley spoke with the USA Network more about why prompted her to make her post and what WWE Superstars continue to go through.

“We fly around so much and we travel so much. Right now I’m doing both brands, so I’m at the airport pretty much every single day. So I run into fans every single day and there’s a lot of them. And when it comes to signing, some of them have piles of the same photos, of the same action figures, of the same pop vinyls, of the same cards — and they want you to sign every single one of them. And if you say, ‘Hey, I’m just going to sign one, I’ve got places to be’ — because most of the time we do, we’re running late. I was running late to work this morning because I landed so late and I’ve got to be here at a certain time, and sometimes we just can’t sign it all.”

She continued to speak about this exact instance and how one particular “fan” continued to follow her which prompted more to do so.

“It’s sort of an entitled thing when some fans expect us to just do it and they start making a fuss if we say no,” she began. “So I had a fan follow me outside the airport today because I said no to them because I didn’t have the time and it was all of the same stuff they wanted signed. It was one fan specifically, he’s notorious, he’s always at the airport getting our signatures and selling them on eBay — we know his face, we know who he is. He was the main instigator, he followed me out and others followed him too and they all followed me as I’m trying to find my Uber. So I’m trying to tell them no and they’re all being persistent and I ended up getting lost, I had no idea where my Uber was, and I ended up down the stairs away from everyone else and I’m just surrounded by these five guys and they’re just hassling me. I don’t think people understand how threatening that is. Especially because you don’t know what’s going to happen. I don’t know these people.”

Ripley clarified that she has no problems stopping to sign for fans who just want an autograph from their favorite WWE Superstar. In particular if someone had a photo of them together and that would be something that is obviously a keepsake.

Like I said before, if you’re a genuine fan and you just want a photo with us — we don’t mind taking photos,” she said. “We love our fans, we love our support, and we love everything about the WWE Universe. If you want a photo, I’m down to take a photo, and I know everyone else is, too. If you have a photo of you and us together, I’m going to sign it because that’s a personal thing and I know you’re going to keep that and cherish that, and you’re a true fan, you’re not just trying to make quick money off us while we’re at the airport. Especially at an airport, in many cases, we’re sleep deprived, we’re in a rush, we haven’t eaten, and then there’s people jumping down our throats expecting something from you. It’s just a lot.

“Just treat us with respect like we’re normal human beings instead of products. I find that a lot of the time when you go to the airport, people that are waiting there, waiting for signatures and autographs, a lot them — not all of them, thereo is some good ones in the batch that actually want to meet their favorite Superstars and that’s all good and fine, but it’s the ones that are trying to make money off our signatures and just treat us like we’re a product for everyone’s use.

Two More Names Qualify For NXT Ladder Match At Stand & Deliver

After the March 21 episode of NXT, two more women have joined Zoey Stark and Gigi Dolin in a ladder match for the NXT Women’s Title at Stand & Deliver. Both Lyra Valkyria and Tiffany Stratton qualified in their respective matches.

First, Stratton defeated Indi Hartwell. In the final moments, Stratton went for a springboard senton, however, Hartwell was able to avoid it and get a near fall off of a spinebuster. Stratton slammed Hartwell onto the turnbuckle before hitting the Green Bay Plunge followed up by her moonsault for the pinfall.

Next Valkyria defeated Ivy Nile in a much shorter match. During the bout, Tatum Paxley who turned her back on Nile last week was watching on the TV monitor. Final moments had Nile locking in a Dragon Sleeper, but Valkyria was about to reverse it with a German suplex. Valkyria landed a leg lariat for the victory.

It was confirmed that at least one more woman will be added to the ladder. There will be a last chance qualifying match where Sol Ruca, Indi Hartwell, and Ivy Nile will get one last chance to enter the match.

Other women on this week’s show included the NXT Women’s Tag Team Champs Kiana James and Fallon Henley. Henley confronted James about “Sebastian” and that she knows all about him and how upset she is that James is doing this to Brooks Jensen. They need to get on the same page because they defend the gold against Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre at Stand & Deliver.

Speaking of Dawn & Fyre, they attacked Henley backstage to which James eventually showed up to help fight them off. James seemed to want Henley to keep the Sebastian news to herself.

There was a debate between Schism and Chase U. This has led to a eight-person tag team match at Stand & Deliver. This will be Ava’s debut match.

As for Roxanne Perez who collapsed after she retained her title against Meiko Satomura a few weeks back has confirmed she is okay. It is unknown when she will returned but she is medically cleared.

Rhea Ripley Victorious Over Bayley; Carmella Misses Raw; Asuka Finally Attacks Belair

On the March 20 episode of Raw, we witnessed a couple of matches from the women as we are just two weeks out from WrestleMania 39.

The Royal Rumble winner Rhea Ripley who will face Charlotte Flair at the big event went to the ring to cut a promo. She promises to defeat Flair at Mania and become the new SmackDown Women’s Champion. Her promo was interrupted by Damage CTRL who heckled her and let her know that Raw belongs to them. This led to a match between Ripley and Bayley. In this match, Ripley would have to take the babyface role despite her current character.

Once Bayley was able to maintain some offense and take control of the match, the Women’s Tag Team Champions Becky Lynch and Lita along with Trish Stratus make their way out to the ring. Lynch with a giant bag of popcorn just to witness the match. This distracts Bayley severely despite having both Dakota Kai and IYO SKY at ringside. The trio who arrived were able to keep the rest of Damage CTRL at bay long enough for Ripley to hit the Riptide and get the big win over Bayley keeping her looking strong for Mania.

A backstage segment took place between WWE’s resident Karen, Chelsea Green with Adam Pearce. Pearce was attempting to explain the WrestleMania Showcase matches when Green approached him. Green let Pearce know that for whatever reason, Carmella was not present for their tag team match tonight. This led Green to take matters in her own hands and wanted Piper Niven as her partner who was with her. Green states that if Pearce doesn’t allow this to happen she will go to the manager. Niven replaces Carmella in the tag team match.

That match was against the Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair and her WrestleMania opponent Asuka. Yes, they did the “can they co-exist match.” It turns out they were able to co-exist as Belair and Asuka would pick up the win after Belair pinned Niven after a KOD.

Post match, Asuka finally attacked Belair for the first time since their “rivalry” started. This left the Raw Women’s Champion laid out in the the ring to end the segment.

The fight between Otis or Otise continues to go between Maxxine Dupri and Chad Gable. Otis would accompany Gable to ringside for his match, however, Dupri would come out to take Otise away from the ringside area.
