Winners & Losers: Extreme Rules 07.19.20

Last night’s Extreme Rules was anything but a horror show. As the event featured two excellent matches from the women among a plethora of exciting and crazy matches.

Nikki Cross challenged Bayley for the SmackDown Women’s Championship in a really strong and entertaining bout. And the RAW Women’s Championship match between Asuka and Sasha Banks was the fantastic affair that we all expected. But the ending of the match was controversial and the result is to be confirmed on tonight’s episode of RAW. Read all about it here.

Lets delve deeper into the action.

Bayley vs. Nikki Cross for the SmackDown Women’s Championship

The first women’s match was that of Bayley vs. Nikki Cross for the SmackDown title. As mentioned in the discussion post, Bayley and Nikki Cross have crossed paths many times. So both competitors were very familiar with one another. This made for a very exciting match up.

Before the match, we saw Alexa Bliss, Asuka and Kairi Sane hyping up Cross with words of encouragement. This support continued as Cross was accompanied to the ring by Bliss. Bayley and Banks then sauntered their way to ring mocking and taunting all with each and every step.

The match began with Bayley continuing to taunt a visibly nervous Cross. Bayley’s mind games worked at first until Cross attacks with a vicious swinging neck breaker for a two count. Followed by a tornado DDT to the outside and two flying crossbody blocks to two more near-falls. Cross hots a third flying crossbody to the outside. Cross celebrates this flurry of offence, which allows Bayley to slam her into the ring and then into the plexiglass.

Back in the ring the action continues with Bayley firmly in control beating and battering Cross mercilessly. Cross would take back the advantage by crawling under the ring to the other side. Bayley ends up caught in the ring apron and open to a frenzy of fists from Cross.

Back in the ring Cross mocks Bayley with the old wavey arms taunts but eats a Bayley to Belly. Cross kicked out from the pinfall attempt, which causes serious concern from both Bayley and Banks. This frustration would cause Bayley to add further force to her attacks. Each and every fist, forearm and knee going forward had a lot more bang behind them. But this extra didn’t seem to deter the fierce and feisty challenger.

Nikki Cross would kick out of a pin after a big Superplex and manage roll Bayley up for a pin. The Scot would make a comeback after slamming Bayley’s ribs into the turnbuckle, which allows her to drop Bayley with a backwards DDT. Cross would follow up with a running bulldog and a ripcord neck breaker for a close fall.

Nikki would continue to target Bayley’s neck with two consecutive backdrops and another near fall. A frustrated Cross goes to the top rope but Bayley counters with a running knee. Another kick out from Cross causes Banks to scream “what the hell” from ringside. Bayley pondered what she has to do to put the tenacious Cross away.

Bayley would miss an attack. Cross would take advantage with a spinning neck breaker off the ring to the outside. Back in the ring, Bayley would kick out of another close fall while an exasperated Banks looks on.

Banks then slipped her ‘Boss’ ring to Bayley, which allowed Bayley to strike Cross in the ribs with a ringed fist followed by the Rose Plant for the hard-fought victory.

This was a really good, fun and entertaining match with both performers performing incredibly well. The outcome may have been predictable but there were moments during the match that had the viewer on the edge of their seat at the possibility of a major upset. Nikki Cross looked great here and gave Bayley her toughest challenge to date.

Asuka vs. Sasha Banks for the RAW Women’s Championship

This match had all the ingreidnets to be a classic match. Both competitors are two of the best and headed into the match on tremendous form.

The match kicked off with the two competitors jostling for position in an intense and furious tie-up. Banks would get the early upper hand by slamming Asuka to the mat only to eat a kick in return.

This allowed Asuka to unleash a round of strikes and a hip toss that Banks expertly countered into the Banks Statement. As Asuka desperately clawed her way to the ropes, Banks would release the hold and viciously stamp on the champion’s hand a number of times.

Banks would hit a bicycle kick and Meteora for the first two-count of the match. Banks would keep up the pressure and pin Asuka’s hands to the mat for a number of pinfall attempts. Asuka would reverse the fourth attempt and lock in an armbar.

After reaching the ropes Banks attacks Asuka with a furious windmill of wince-inducing slaps and chops. Banks would then attempt a top rope arm drag but crash and burn into the beautiful knee strike from Asuka, which just showed how quickly these two fighters are able turn in the match in their favour. Excellent stuff.

The action would spill to the outside and they would trade offence until Asuka absolutely wiped out Banks with a super stiff running knee.

Back in the ring, Asuka would attempt an Asuka Lock but Banks would counter with a knee attack and some torturous joint manipulation to Asuka’s fingers. Banks would continue the torture with an array of different armbars, forearm and big knee strikes.

Asuka would eventually fight back with a barrage of brutal looking kicks and finish off with a spinning back fist to floor Banks. Asuka would corner the dazed Banks into the corner and plant her with a nasty double-knee attack that took both warriors out.

After a struggle on the ring apron, Banks would painfully powerbomb Asuka into the plexiglass, hockey fight style. Banks would then hit a frog splash for a two-count and straight into the Banks Statement. Banks had it synched in tight and there was a brief moment when Asuka looked as though she was in danger but she managed to scramble her way to the ropes to break the hold.

Asuka was able to recover to some strikes and two big German suplexes followed by a quartet of kicks and a pinfall attempt. Another German suplex and a hip attack would cause another near fall. A desperate Asuka would go to the top but miss the dropkick and eat a knee to the face but still managed to kick out of a pinfall attempt.

Asuka would attempt a top rope German Supersuplex that Banks somehow flipped out of. With passions running high, Banks would head to the top rope for another attack but lose her footing, grasping her knee.

Banks would scream that she was the next champion as the two warriors rose to their feet. Bayley would take out Sane with a Bayley to Belly outside while Banks and Asuka went through a series of desperate pinfall attempts. The sequence ended with Asuka getting the Asuka Lock on Banks. Bayley would slide in one of the tag team championships to cause a distraction. Bayley, now in the ring would break up the submission as Banks was tapping out. A furious Asuka would take her out a swift kick to the head.

Banks then went to attack Asuka with the title belt but the referee stopped her. While they argued, Asuka would approach Banks who evaded the green mist, which covered the referee taking him out of the match and this is where the confusion begins.

Bayley would take out Asuka with a title belt and remove the referee’s jersey and put it on. Now the unofficial referee of the match, Bayley counts to three and demands the bell to be rang and declares Sasha Banks as the new RAW Women’s Champion leaving everyone aghast and confused as they celebrated up the ramp.

This was an absolute cracker of a match. Asuka and Banks are absolute warriors. The vicious, intense and constant back and forth action never slowed. The punishment they dished out to each other was breathtaking. The trades of submissions, strikes and all types of offence was slick, smooth and stiff was tremendous to watch.

Yes, the ending was a little crazy, and it would’ve been nice to have a clean finish. But it adds further intrigue into the storyline going forward and gives the Golden Role Models more ammunition to be the amazingly obnoxious and wonderfully arrogant heels they are. And if we get another Sasha Banks and Asuka match out of it that most certainly isn’t a bad thing. It also seems as if the actions will have consequences. The decision will most likely be reversed due to Bayley’s actions. This could possibly cause the breakup between her and Banks that we have all been waiting for for a very long time.

The Ghost of Alexa Bliss

Later on the night during the Swamp Match between Braun Strowman and Bray Watt, we got to see an rather spooky appearance from Alexa Bliss.

This was good fun and really interesting addition into the weird and wonderful world of Bray Wyatt/The Feind. The use of Bliss and Strowman’s time as Team Little-Big as a weapon was very effective and intriguing. Is there something brewing between Braun and Bliss? We’ll have wait until Friday to find out.

Lets get to the winners of the night;

Winners: Asuka, Bayley, Sasha Banks and Nikki Cross

All four wreslters were fantastic and put on great performances throughout the night.

Asuka was as amazing as she always is. She came to the ring dancing and having fun. But as soon as the bell rang she became the clinical striker and submission guru that pushed Banks to her limit. Not only did she dish out brutal punishment but she also took it as well. This was a gruelling match that once again proved the ‘The Empress of Tomorrow’ is right where she belongs, at the top of the mountain.

Bayley was, as always on top form. Her heel work is exceptional and her ring work is clever, methodical and highly effective. Bayley has not only found her groove in this heel role but she excelled in it and became the most entertaining performer in the company.

This was Nikki Cross’ best main roster performance. She was quick, fierce and sharp. Her barrage of offence caught Bayley completely unaware and there were genuine moments when it looked as though she could end Bayley’s title reign.

Sasha Banks continued her tremendous run of amazing matches. Banks has been on fire both in and out of the ring and shows no signs of slowing down. And if we finally to get the break up of the Gold Role Models then the highly-anticipated and long-awaited feud and eventual match up against Bayley will be pure gold.

No losers tonight as stated earlier, all four women were excellent.

What did you make of the matches and what will happen tonight on RAW regarding the title? Let us know in the comments below. As always stay tuned to Diva Dirt for all of your WWE news, reviews and updates.

NXT UK talk about the Women’s Evolution; New Jinny promo

All last week, WWE celebrated that it has been five years since the Women’s Evolution started. It was spoken about on the programming and dominated the social media realm. This included many superstars discussing their favorite moments. The ladies of NXT UK have concluded the week by discussing their favorite moments and what it has meant to them.

Ever since the current COVID pandemic started, NXT UK has been on the back burner. After what had pre-taped for the brand had aired, unlike the brands stateside, NXT UK has been at a halt. Recently it has been discussed that the brand will continue despite some concerns because both the pandemic and the #SpeakingOut movement affect the UK brand. At this time the next NXT UK TakeOver event in Dublin for October is still in the plans.

Xia Brookside, Candy Floss, and Isla Dawn all shared their favorite moments. Brookside said that the Evolution pay-per-view in itself was a stand out for her. Candy Floss and Dawn both highlighted Toni Storm‘s win at the second Mae Young Classic.

Continuing on Aoife Valkyrie says her favorite memory is the Four Horsewomen but most specifically the Ironman match between Bayley and Sasha Banks in NXT. This signified the first and until recently, the only women’s match to become the main event at a TakeOver event. Jinny comments on the Evolution pay-per-view and states that women continue to prove that they can do it better than the men. Nina Samuels says her favorite moment was when the Divas Championship became the RAW Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 32.

Speaking of Jinny, you can view her newest promo below. She seems hungry to get to the top of the women’s division in the UK. Currently at the top is the longest-reigning woman holding a title in the company currently and that is the Kay Lee Ray with the NXT UK Women’s Title at 319 days and counting.

Who do you miss seeing regularly from the NXT UK brand? Who would you like to see face Kay Lee Ray next? Leave your thoughts in the comment section below.

Sasha Banks might be the RAW Women’s Champion

Yes, you read that right, Sasha Banks just might be the RAW Women’s Champion. At this time it has not been confirmed.

Sasha Banks is allegedly your new RAW Women’s Champion after defeating Asuka at the Extreme Rules pay-per-view. This marked with Bayley retaining against Nikki Cross earlier in the night to keep her SmackDown Women’s Title has made the Golden Role Models both double champions. The duo holds the Women’s Tag Team Titles so they hold all three titles. This is all if the result of the match holds up.

Banks and Asuka put on a clinic as the match lasted 20-minutes. However, the end of the match is questionable.

As the match comes to a conclusion, Asuka mistakenly spewed her green mist that was meant for Banks at the referee instead. This prompts Bayley to put on the referee’s shirt and administer the three count to declare Banks the winner. She demanded the timekeeper to ring the bell although they were reluctant to. There was no official announcement made for the result.

After that phenomenal match we may have to wait until RAW tomorrow to hear word if Bayley’s actions are going to stay official. If so this would make Sasha the only 5-time RAW Women’s Champion breaking away from her tie at four with Charlotte Flair. At the very least, Banks is walking out with the belt in hand.

What did you think of this match? The ending? Leave your thoughts in the comment section below. Check back in with Diva Dirt on further word on this decision.

WWE Extreme Rules: Discussion Post 07.19.20

The Horror Show at Extreme Rules is upon us and WWE have given us with two excellent matches. The first is Bayley defending her SmackDown Women’s Championship against Nikki Cross. The second is Asuka defending the RAW Women’s Championship against Sasha Banks.

Both matches have high stakes attached and feature four of the most entertaining wrestlers in the company. Expect two excellent matches from four amazing competitors.

Bayley vs. Nikki Cross for the SmackDown Women’s Championship

Credit: WWE

Bayley and Nikki Cross are no strangers to each other. Nikki Cross unsuccessfully challenged Bayley for the title way back in November 2019. More recently they have been clashing for the last couple months over the Women’s Tag Team Championships that reached its crescendo when Bayley and Banks defeated Bliss and Cross for the titles. But the animosity continued when Cross defeated Alexa Bliss, Dana Brooke and Lacey Evans in a Fatal 4-Way to become the number one contender and now heads into the Extreme Rules with a chance to capture the SmackDown Women’s Championship.

Bayley has proven herself to be a formidable champion and defeated all that have stood in her way. But Cross is an unpredictable opponent due to her “manic” personality and “frenzied” in-ring style. So expect a highly intense affair with a strong possibility of interference from Bliss and Banks.

Asuka vs Sasha Banks for the RAW Women’s Championship

Credit: WWE

Sasha Banks is on a phenomenal run and comes into the match with all the momentum in the world. Asuka has also been on tremendous form and is always on her best whatever the opponent, whatever the circumstance. This is easily Asuka’s toughest challenge since capturing the title and a win over Banks would solidify and legitimise this title reign.

Asuka and Sasha Banks are two of the best to ever do it and the match is going to be fantastic no doubt about it. Can Sasha Banks become a double champion tonight or will Asuka prove that nobody is ready for her no matter how good they are?

Deonna Purrazzo takes down Jordynne Grace to become new Knockouts Champion

Deonna Purrazzo may have only joined IMPACT last month but she went directly to the top. Purrazzo ends Jordynne Grace‘s 182-day reign as champion when she caused her to submit at Slammiversary with the Fujiwara armbar.

Purrazzo has had success for weeks by attacking Grace and applying her vicious armbar to foreshadow what was to come. She tries to put Grace away mid-match with this but at that time Grace was able to roll through. Grace then found herself in a cross armbreaker before being face-planted into the mat.

Grace tries to mount some offense by going after Purrazzo’s neck and she goes after her with shoulder tackles while keeping her down by rolling Senton. Grace gets a near fall followed by trapping her challenger in a body scissor. Purrazzo starts to fade but after a check by the official, The Virtuosa keeps her arm up. Purrazzo rolls through to get out. Moments later, Grace power slams her and gets a near fall and then hits a spinebuster.

As Purrazzo continues to focus on Grace’s arm, Grace looks for the Grace Driver but is unable to execute her finisher. Purrazzo locks in a double Fujiwara armbar to get the champion to tap and crowns The Virtuosa the new Knockouts Champion!!

Kylie Rae won a number one contender’s Gauntlet for the Gold match earlier in the night. She now knows she will be challenging Purrazzo for the title.

What did you make about this match and are you happy with Deonna as the new champion? Leave your thoughts in the comment section below.

Kylie Rae wins Gauntlet Match to become number one contender

At Slammiversary, Kylie Rae outlasted 11 other women (and John E. Bravo) in a Gauntlet for the Gold match to become the new number one contender for the Knockouts Championship. At the time of her victory she is unsure who she will be facing as the Knockouts Title is defended later on in the night by Jordynne Grace against Deonna Purrazzo.

Rae last pinned the former and longest reigning Knockouts Champion Taya Valkyrie. Other participants in the match included Madison Rayne, Katie Forbes, Tasha Steelz, Kiera Hogan, Havok, Nevaeh, Alisha, Kimber Lee, Susie, and Rosemary.

Rae officially started with the company at the end of March and ever since then more and more women have followed suit in joining the Knockouts division. What do you think of Kylie being the next to go for the gold?

Big Swole pens letter about being a black professional wrestler

0

Big Swole shared a letter today that she has written about the experiences of black professional wrestlers. Swole took to Twitter to make the letter available for all to read.

Swole’s letter educates the reader on the many challenges that black people have to go through in the industry. Swole also asks the question of why discrimination has been ignored and then asks the reader to “be the change.”

Read the full letter below;

“We Just Want to Be Heard

The conversation that has been told but never heard is finally here. Imagine expressing your innermost concerns and having them fall on deaf ears for decades. Imagine being told “I already have enough Blacks on my roster.” This is what it is like being a Black professional wrestler. The keys to Black wrestlers’ success have been dangled up high but just close enough to give hope. Like the aliens looking at the claw in ‘Toy Story’, every once and awhile one reaches the claw but then the cycle starts all over again.

Why is it that Black people dominate and excel in other participated sports except for wrestling? What is it about this profession that is different from the inner workings of other professional sports? One of the main issues is there are people in this business who actively try to deter the careers of Black wrestlers. Whether it is intentional or unintentional it is happening and when someone speaks up about the ongoing racism, crickets and shaming follows. Black wrestlers are being cut off at the knees to fit this mold that is deemed acceptable in order to place a price on worthiness. Years of hard work has culminated into a position where the shut up and color customs are consolation prizes. There has been outpours of mistreatment and discrimination but again crickets. The time for listening, hearing, comprehending, advocating and allying is now. Be the change”

The letter brings to light many difficulties that many of us do not know exist. And for that Big Swole must be applauded.

Discussion Post: IMPACT! Slammiversary 07.18.20

IMPACT’s flagship PPV event Slammiversary takes place tonight. The show has gone through a few changes with the firing of Tessa Blanchard but offers up two very exciting matches. The first is the Knockouts Championship match between Jordynne Grace and Deonna Purrazzo. The second is the eleven women Number One Contender Gauntlet Match.

Number One Contender Gauntlet Match

The eleven women competing for a chance to become number one contender for the Knockouts Championship are Alisha Edwards vs. Havok vs. Kiera Hogan vs. Kimber Lee vs. Kylie Rae vs. Nevaeh vs. Madison Rayne vs. Rosemary vs. Susie vs. Tasha Steelz vs. Taya Valkyrie.

Credit: IMPACT! Wrestling

The match up just shows how stacked IMPACT’s women’s roster is. The array of talent in the match is fantastic and proves to be a very difficult match to call. Each and every competitor could walk away as the victor and number one contender for the Knockout’s Championship. But one thing is for sure we are in for treat tonight.

Knockouts Championship

The match between Knockouts Champion, Jordynne Grace and challenger Deonna Purrazzo is certainly one to look out for.

This match will be Grace’s sixth title defence and she will be hoping that it goes the same way as the previous five. But a competitor such as Purrazzo offers up a whole array of challenges for Grace. Purrazzo is an experienced wrestler with a penchant for tieing her opponents up in all kinds of submissions. But Grace’s impressive strength and power should be able to counter any hold that Purrazzo will attempt to synch in.

Deonna Purrazzo wasted little time in making an impact in IMPACT! by getting in the face of Jordynne Grace. Grace though is certainly not one to mess with and she will not let the Knockouts Championship leave her grasp without a fierce fight. Expect a very intense and back and forth match between two highly competitive and accomplished fighters.

What match are you looking forward to the most and who are your picks to leave the show a winners? Let us know in the comments below and feel free to sound off throughout the show.

Winners & Losers: SmackDown 07.17.20

The last show before Extreme Rules this weekend and we saw all four women who will be on that card in action on tonight’s Friday Night SmackDown. This all came to fruition from Alexa Bliss bringing a mystery guest to her A Moment of Bliss segment. The mystery guest had many fans guessing all sorts of names.

Bliss mentions that the guest is someone who will be in action on Sunday. Nikki Cross feels like she must be the special guest as she is confident she will become SmackDown Women’s Champion this weekend when she faces Bayley. Sasha Banks and Bayley then made their way down to the ring.

They let Cross know she should get used to being disappointed and took the main credit for the Women’s Evolution. As tensions start to mount between the four women, Bliss announces that she hasn’t even mentioned her mystery guest yet. Asuka‘s music then hits signifying that she is the guest. This set up a tag team match between Asuka & Cross vs. Bayley & Banks.

This match had huge importance as Banks faces Asuka for the RAW Women’s Championship at Extreme rules as well as the SmackDown Women’s Title match mentioned earlier.

A solid bout between the two teams starts showing a result after Cross gets tagged in and immediately hits Banks with clotheslines until she flips her into a running splash followed up by a bulldog. After missing a crossbody from Cross, Banks takes over.

Moments later, Cross would gain back some momentum as she hits a tornado DDT off of the announce table on Bayley. Cross gets Bayley back in the ring and goes for the pin. She gets a near fall as Banks breaks it up.

Asuka would then go after Banks and misses with a hip attack as she gets hung up in the ropes. Banks knocks her outside the ring. Bayley goes for the tag but Asuka is at the heels of Banks on the apron. Banks goes for the Meteora and misses which leads to her being tossed into the barricade. Bayley then takes down Asuka with a baseball slide.

Cross goes for another tornado DDT, blocked by Bayley who takes her down by both legs and goes for the pin. Just as she has done many times lately she uses the middle rope as leverage and gets her three count and the win for the tag champs.

The second match of the night is a follow up from their fight after last week’s Karaoke contest. Naomi battled Lacey Evans. A short match between the two had Naomi start off in control in the early going, but Evfans would quickly take over.

Naomi was able to bounce back ever so slightly as she got the knees up from Evans’ moonsault. Moments later, Evans plays games by tying Naomi’s hair up in the ring ropes. Once the official helps Naomi get untangled she walked right into a Woman’s Right causing Evans to pick up the win with the three count.

Let’s get into the Winners & Losers of the week:

WINNER: Bayley

Bayley keeps on picking up the wins and heading into this weekend’s title defense it is good for her that she picked up the win. Her wins lately have been far from clean by using the ring ropes to make sure she gets the pin. She may end up getting caught from this on Sunday, but she continues to stay on top…for now.

LOSER: Naomi

She keeps on landing in the losing column. She is falling victim to the loss after loss that when someone finds themselves in it, it is hard to climb out of that rabbit hole. Naomi has not picked up a pinfall victory since February against Carmella. Partly wish they would make a match between Naomi and Lacey for at least the kick off show at Extreme Rules, but I doubt it.

LOSER: Nikki Cross

Much the reason why Bayley is a winner, Cross is losing this week. She feels very defeated because she took the pin the tag team match and it may shake her confidence. I have hope that she will win on Sunday however and from having her first singles title win it will cause some dissension between her and Alexa.

What did you think of this week’s SmackDown? Who were your Winners & Losers this week?

Check back with Diva Dirt this weekend for all news, rumors, and results for Extreme Rules.

SmackDown Discussion Post: 07.17.20

Advertised for this week’s SmackDown is Alexa Bliss with A Moment of Bliss segment. As of now, her guest is being presented as a mystery.

Credit: WWE

Wandering minds could come up with a whole bunch of people on who her guest may be. We could maybe see a return of Mickie James? The IIconics did pop up on A Moment of Bliss segment when they returned.

We could possibly have a debut on SmackDown? Perhaps, Chelsea Green? Or maybe we will finally get an Evolution 2 announcement from Stephanie McMahon herself? The Women’s Tag Titles were announced on A Moment of Bliss segment, so it could happen!

Other than this mystery guest, Extreme Rules is this Sunday. Bayley will be defending her SmackDown Women’s Championship against Nikki Cross. These two did battle at this same pay-per-view last year, but Cross had Bliss by her side as they had the advantage in a handicap match. This year, Cross has to go at it alone to try and win her first singles title.

Feel free to use the comment section below to discuss tonight’s show.

Filling the void – five wrestlers WWE need to push

0

WWE’s women’s division has gone through a few changes recently. The departure of Becky Lynch and Charlotte has left WWE with a huge void to fill. The loss of two top-tier talent in such quick succession leaves the company in need to push and elevate new female wrestlers.

WWE are without two of their biggest stars and their inability to build any other wrestler outside of the four horsewomen and Asuka has left a huge gap between the main event and the level below.

Bayley and Sasha Banks have been excellent as of late and deserve all the plaudits keeping the division entertaining and exciting. However, the use of the duo across all three shows is not a long-term fix and will eventually become tiresome and overexpose them.

The fact WWE need to build up credible contenders a level below the top tier performers is nothing new. But the company has done little to produce them and now finds itself with only three top-level talents and two huge Becky and Charlotte shaped holes to fill.

For example, not one of Bayley’s seven title defences was her belt ever in danger. This is because the challengers have never been booked to look anywhere near credible enough to take the championship. The same goes for Becky Lynch’s reign, apart from a select few challengers her title reign was never jeopardy. More recently, Asuka defended her RAW Women’s Championship against Nia Jax there was simply no way the champion was losing.

The need for WWE to build a group of serious and credible challengers for the top level is evident and the time for them to do so is now. Therefore a list of performers who have the potential and the credibility to break through to the next level awaits.

Now, anyone given the right build and push can be booked to look like a credible threat for a championship, but below is a list of WWE SuperStars that if given the opportunity could legitimately become part of the main event level.

Take a look at the list and let us know what you think in the comments below. Enjoy.

Bianca Belair

Credit: WWE

Bianca Belair is the most can’t miss superstar to ever superstar and the fact that she has only appeared on Main Event since debuting on RAW is simply baffling.

Bianca Belair has it all. Endless charisma, extraordinary athleticism and strength and bonafide megastar potential. And as soon as WWE realise this the better because Belair is wasted on WWE’s D-Level show.

We all know what Belair is capable of from her time in NXT. Yet despite shining on the brand she still wasn’t used to her full potential and only scrathed the suface of the top tier. WWE need to right what NXT wronged and not only build her as a credible contender but build her whole division around her.

This past week on RAW we saw the return of Belair and in dominant fashion. Hopefully, this is the beginning of Belair’s journey to the top of the mountain.

Winners & Losers: NXT 07.15.20

Further development evolved for the Robert Stone this week as they may have set their eye on a new prospect in that of Indi Hartwell. The Australian native had a match tonight against Shotzi Blackheart. Blackeart has been living rent free in the head of both Stone and Aliyah after she ran over Stone with her tank last week. The brand tried to recruit the Ballsy Badass last week and it didn’t go so well.

The match between Hartwell and Blackheart was rather short as it culminated into Stone making his way out to the ring. As he hobbled his way to the ring, visibly still “injured” from the tank running him over, this caused enough of a distraction for Hartwell to take advantage.

Blackheart still seemed to be in control even with the referee distracted by Stone who was on the apron on the opposite end of the ring. She hits a step up knee followed by a DDT. As Blackheart climbs to the top turnbuckle to attempt to put away Hartwell, Aliyah knocks her off. Hartwell follows up with a kick to get the pin and the win. This marks her first televised win.

After the match Stone and Aliyah are smiling as they head up the ramp. Could Hartwell be a new member of the Robert Stone Brand?

The second women’s match of the night was the advertised title match between champion Io Shirai and challenger Tegan Nox. Yet again, the women are the main event.

Highlights of this bout include a near fall from Nox as she catches Shirai off an Irish Whip in the corner. She catches her after Shirai hits a diamond crossbody. Nox hits a bridge to get a near fall. Later on, Nox is thrown into the ring steps as Shriai misses a running meteora.

A chokeslam attempt from Nox leads into a counter that Io takes advantage of and hits a butterfly backbreaker onto her own injured knee. Nox rolls her up for a near fall, however. Near falls continue as Shirai gets a bridging German suplex for two and Nox gets her caught up in the tree of woe. This allows her to hit an inverted cannonball in the corner for a two count of her own.

As the match comes to its conclusion, Shirai hits the Bullet Train into a Tiger Feint Kick. She follows it up with a missile dropkick for a near fall. Nox avoids a Tiger Driver and plants a sit-out facebuster.

Tegan then counters a Tiger driver into a sit-out facebuster before hitting a Molly-Go-Round. This still wasn’t enough as she gets a near fall. Nox has a hard time believing that wasn’t a three count and she didn’t just secure her first title. Shirai hits a Shotei followed by a moonsault to get the pin and retain her title.

Shirai’s victory celebration was halted once she made it to the stage as Dakota Kai emerged with a swift kick to the champions face. It is clear who wants a shot at that gold next.

Let’s get into the Winners & Losers of the week:

WINNER: Indi Hartwell

Picked up her first televised win and may be entered into a stable – things are looking up for Indi. I have been skeptical about the Robert Stone Brand because it never seems to fully go somewhere to me. However, if they finally add a second person then I can see good things coming from another tag team in that of Aliyah and Indi.

WINNER: Io Shriai

This win was pretty obvious and I would have been shocked if they gave this to Tegan so soon into Io’s reign. It was a good match with both women looking good, but with Io pulling out the win it lands her in the win column this week.

WINNER: Dakota Kai

Captain of the sneak attack. She clearly isn’t happy that Tegan got this chance over her and her time seems to be next.

LOSER: Shotzi Blackheart

Shotzi always has a problem picking up wins. She tends to generally look good even in defeat, but this time it was definitely to put over Indi. Maybe she will get together with Tegan again to face Indi and Aliyah next?

Tegan Nox speaks on coming out as a lesbian and the positive reaction from fans

Over this past weekend, Tegan Nox posted to her social media a photo of her and her girlfriend. The photo shows Tegan with a rainbow face mask on and the caption reading “Life is good” with the colored hearts of the rainbow.

She had an interview with Newsweek about coming out and the steps that led up to this decision to be open about herself.

“My life has always been a ‘don’t ask, don’t tell’ situation, but I felt like it was the right time, especially when you’ve found the right one you’re in love with. It was the right time to do that,” Nox said. “The reaction has been great. There are a few people who obviously don’t agree with that, but 99 percent of the reactions have been positive. I’ve got texts coming through from so many colleagues and friends. It was nice. It’s great to see that there are so many nice people in the world.”

A good voice and shoulder to lean on into making this decision is Sonya Deville who has essentially been an openly proud lesbian since being with WWE. She had the following to say about Deville who helped her be more comfortable and ready to share her complete self with the WWE Universe.

Credit: WWE

“I actually talked to Sonya before I even did this. She was a big, big help. She gave me her phone number and told me to text her if I needed anything. So we keep in contact quite a lot about it. She’s a massive help with the fans because my family knew but my fans didn’t. So she helped me bring it out to the public.”

Other topics were discussed during the interview including her prior injuries and the women’s evolution. She was asked if she were to compete in an Evolution 2 who would she want to face. Her answer should come as to no surprise as she has adapted the Molly-go-round.

“Oh, Molly Holly. Please give me a Molly Holly match, I just need it. I’m not asking for a lot. Just one match. Let’s go, Molly. If you want me to shave my head, I don’t care. We’ll have a hair vs hair match. Let’s go!!”

Nox recently had her first NXT Women’s Title match this week against Io Shriai. Unfortunately, she wasn’t able to pick up the gold. She also had teamed with Shotzi Blackheart recently to face Sasha Banks and Bayley for the Women’s Tag Titles and also came up short. It is only a matter of time for gold to be on the girl with The Shiniest Wizard.

Ivelisse vs. Diamante set for AEW Dynamite next week

AEW announced during Fight for the Fallen that Diamante would be taking on the returning Ivelisse. The match will take place on next week’s episode of AEW Dynamite.

Diamante vs. Ivelisse set for AEW Dynamite next week
Credit: AEW

Both fighters were in attendance at last night’s show. Making it the first time Ivelisse has been on AEW since August 2019.

Ivelisse was last on AEW programming in the Casino Battle Royale at last year’s All Out. Diamante was in action on Dark this week in tag team action against The Nightmare Sisters.

The match is also very interesting as neither competitor has a contract with AEW. Making it the first match in AEW history to have a match between two unsigned wrestlers on their flagship show.

AEW’s women’s division is in desperate need of some new blood with ten members of the roster unable to perform. The company would be hard-pressed to find two better competitors than Diamante and Ivelisse to add to their depleted roster.

What do you make of the match and would you like to see Diamante and Ivelisse in AEW full time? Let us know in the comments below. As always stay tuned to Diva Dirt for all of your AEW news.

Vickie Guerrero is revealed as Nyla Rose’s manager

Former AEW Women’s World Champion Nyla Rose mentioned at Fyter Fest that she was about to have representation. This was announced tonight at Fight for the Fallen as former WWE General Manager Vickie Guerrero. Someone with 15-years of experience in the industry.

This announcement started with Dasha Kuret in the ring inviting Rose out to the ring. She then asked what everyone was dying to know and that is who her manager is. Rose refused to tell anyone who her manager is as she wanted her to tell us herself.

Guerrero’s music would then hit as she made her way to the ring proclaiming her famous catch phrase – “Excuse Me!”

Dasha tried to get what the strategy would be moving forward with this new pairing, however, Guerrero would not divulge. She would send a significant message to the women’s locker room.

“From this moment on, ladies. I am begging you to stop lying to yourselves about how great you are and also admit that you will never be smart enough to cheat to win. And last, but not least, Nyla Rose is going to steal every opportunity you have ever dreamed of.”

Guerrero has made appearances for the company as a member of the crowd. This is her official introduction to the product.

What are your thoughts on the Vickie and Nyla pairing? Do you think this will give a boost for the women’s division? Leave your thoughts in the comment section below.

MJ Jenkins makes AEW debut at Fight for the Fallen

Former NXT Superstar MJ Jenkins made her AEW debut tonight at Fight for the Fallen. Jenkins was released from WWE back in April during the budget cuts as a result of the ongoing health pandemic. She was mostly used for NXT house shows which obviously have been put on hold since March. A tag team was formed between her and Briana Brandy but that pairing never made it to television.

She debuted in tag team action alongside Kenzie Paige. Kenzie has made several appearances recently for the promotion. They faced the Nightmare Sisters of Brandi Rhodes and Allie. Rhodes and Allie were announced for tonight’s event but their opponents were originally not announced.

It was a short match-up as Kenzie was dominated early on by Rhodes and then transitioned into Allie taking control. Allie went for a running knee from the ropes, but Rhodes hit a blind tag. Allie missed the running knee attempt on Kenzie as a result. Rhodes capitalized though with a super kick. The Nightmare Sisters then briefly exchange words as Allie makes her way out of the ring.

Kenzie finally breaks free to tag in Jenkins. Allie is tagged in as well. She ends up delivering a huge slap to the face of Jenkins followed up with a bulldog. Rhodes spears Kenzie. Jenkins finally gets in a hit with a shot to the midsection of Allie, but that wasn’t nearly enough. Allie is able to drop Jenkins to get the pin and the win for her team.

Jenkins comes away with a loss from her first match with the company. There has been no word at the time of this writing that she has officially signed with AEW.

What are your thoughts on MJ Jenkins showing up in AEW? Do you think she should be signed with the company? Leave your thoughts in the comment section below.

NXT Discussion Post: 07.15.20

A big match is set for tonight’s NXT as Io Shirai defends her NXT Women’s Championship against Tegan Nox. Nox won her shot at Shirai’s title after winning a Fatal 4-way match a couple of weeks back at The Great American Bash. This will be Nox’s first chance at the title.

In addition to this title match, Robert Stone has been devastated ever since he was run over by Shotzi Blackheart‘s tank last week. It appears that he and Aliyah will be looking for some retribution.

Who do you think will come out as the NXT Women’s Champion tonight? What else do you think will go down for the women’s roster? Discuss tonight’s show in the comment section below.

Naomi comments on her future goals involving the tag team division

Naomi was one of many guests celebrating five years of the women’s evolution on WWE The Bump earlier today. She discussed many things including that moment five years ago when Sasha Banks joined her and Tamina to form Team B.A.D. Wrestling Bayley at Super ShowDown in Saudi Arabia was discussed as was her WrestleMania moment in her hometown of Orlando when she walked out as SmackDown Women’s Champion in 2017.

Credit: WWE

With so many moments to reminisce on, Naomi was asked where the rest of her 2020 stands. Her hope is to be part of the tag team division. As far as a partner she would love to have either Ember Moon or Bianca Belair. This comes as no surprise as she has voiced this before, but with the Women’s Tag Team Championship shining bright, there is a prize in sight.

Credit: WWE

Because Moon is currently out due to injury indefinitely, Belair seems to be the current plausible option. Although the lineage of the tag titles is still fairly short it would still be historic if Naomi and Belair would become the first African American team to win that gold.

She further explains that most of the time she has been thrown into a tag team has always been a makeshift team. A team that had to be made in order to fulfill a need for one. The history of the Funkadactyls aside, this is a pretty plausible statement.

What do you think of Naomi’s strive to win the tag team titles? What would you think of Naomi and Belair as a partnership? Leave your thoughts in the comment section below.

Asuka declares that she wants to face Kairi Sane next

The Kabuki Warriors have been a solid team since the start. Regardless of early booking issues, Asuka and Kairi Sane have been a joy to watch and as former Women’s Tag Team Champions they stand as one of the best. So what comes next?

As of RAW Talk on Monday, Sane mentioned she is ready for Asuka. If and when Asuka successfully defends her RAW Women’s Championship against Sasha Banks at Extreme Rules, Sane wants the next shot.

Alex McCarthy of talkSPORT spoke to Asuka who further put the idea in everyone’s mind that this match will be happening. She concurs with Sane that after she beats Banks, she wants her tag team partner to be her next opponent.

If this does take place, this will be the first time the two have faced each other ever. They have never faced each other in WWE, Japan, or anywhere else. This would definitely be a barn burner of a match.

There have been rumors that Sane will be leaving WWE very shortly and returning to Japan to be with her recently married husband. The reports go back and forth saying that WWE is still trying to offer Sane the best deal to stay. If she were to leave, going out against Asuka at perhaps SummerSlam would be a great way to end her WWE career.

What are your thoughts on this potential match? Would you want to see it? Leave your thoughts in the comment section below.

Winners & Losers: IMPACT 07.14.20

With Slammiversary taking place this Saturday, all eyes are on the Knockouts division as the Knockouts Title is heavily being gunned for. The last show before the event was no exception as we saw a contract signing between champion Jordynne Grace and Deonna Purrazzo and a 10- Woman Knockouts Tag Team match.

This match was in preparation for their upcoming Gauntlet match at the pay-per-view. The winner will become the number one contender to either Grace or Purrazzo.

The tag team match kicked off the show. It pitted Havok, Navaeh, Alisha Edwards, Kylie Rae, and Susie against the team of Taya Valkyrie, Kiera Hogan, Rosemary, Tasha Steelz, and Kimber Lee.

https://youtu.be/wNbhstVnUoE

Highlights of the match included a triple attack on the heel team as they are grouped outside the ring. Susie takes them down first with a somersault off the ring apron. They get knocked down again along with Susie and Naveah as Havok launches her own teammate Alisha on top of them from over the top rope. Rae gets a tag from Havok who was the legal woman before Havok hits a suicide dive onto the group as the third and final attack.

The match breaks down with each woman being highlighted and hitting a move. It starts when Steelz breaks up a near fall from Susie on Lee. Steelz takes out Susie with a cutter who then rolls out of the ring. Enter Nevaeh who launches Steelz with a German Suplex. Hogan lays out Nevaeh with a roundhouse kick.

Havok catches Hogan and places her on the mat. Rosemary and Valkryie show their teamwork as they hit a double spear on Havok. Alisha then hits a cross body on Rosemary and Valkryie and follows it up with a double DDT. Lee roundhouse kick on Alisha. Rae superkicks Lee and it sets it up for her tag team partner Susie to take advantage

Susie hits a Panic Switch and gets the three count and the win for her team. After the match, a huge brawl ensues. Rae makes it out of the brawl as she tends to Susie.

As mentioned earlier, there was also a contract signing for the Slammiversary Knckouts Title match between Jordynne Grace and Deonna Purrazzo.

Purrazzo has been a thorn in the side of the champion since she made her debut recently and beelined straight to the front of the line. Since then her vicious armbar has been catching Grace off guard but come Saturday there will be no jump from behind or catching the champion when she isn’t ready.

As Purrazzo signs the contract and prior to Grace taking her pen to paper, the challenger wants her to know what she is getting herself into. She wants Grace to realize when she steps foot into the ring with The Virtuosa that she is stepping into the ring with class and sophistication.

As Grace signs the contract Purrazzo may think she is class, she may think she is sophisticated, but she doesn’t know what she is getting her self into….right now. Grace slams Purrazzo face-first on the table. Purrazzo exits as the segment ends and Grace leaves the opposite way with her belt.

Let’s get into the Winners & Losers of the week:

WINNER: Susie

Susie picked up a big win for her team with an assist from her tag team partner Kylie. They mentioned during the match some shades of Su Yung appearing so maybe we will get that version during the Gauntlet match? It is good momentum for her to pick up this pin heading into the pay-per-view but it still could be anyone’s match to win.

If I had to guess it may not be anyone who is a part of a tag team, but that leaves only Kimber, Alisha, and Madison. On the other hand, I could see Susie also being a contender, especially if Su shows up.

WINNER: Jordynne Grace

The contract signing wasn’t much. I expected a lot more honestly. However, Jordynne did get the last laugh, so that was a positive outlook for the champion. The title match is also up in the air for me. I can see them giving it to Deonna since she is being pushed so heavily so quickly.

LOSER: Deonna Purrazzo

Again, the contract signing wasn’t anything special. Seeing as though Purrazzo has been made to look so strong against Grace in the past several weeks, especially with her armbar, I was expecting Purrazzo to come out looking better. Instead, she just had her head slammed into the table and ran away.

What did you think of this week’s IMPACT? Who were your Winners & Losers?

Check back in with Diva Dirt on Saturday, July 18 for results from Slammiversary. Do you think we will have a new champion? Who do you think will become the number one contender? Let us know below.

Riho to defend High Speed Championship in a three-way battle at Korakan Hall July 26

STARDOM has returned with a bang. Since the lockdown in Japan was lifted the company have put on three shows in front of a sold-out (minimal) capacity live crowd. The fallout from the shows has given us four championship matches and a tournament for the vacant Wonder of STARDOM Championship.

Wonder of STARDOM Championship Tournament

On July, 17, STARDOM returns to Korakuen Hall for the first time since the Cinderella Tournament on March, 24. This show will host the beginning of a tournament to crown a new Wonder of STARDOM Champion. The tournament will feature Giulia, Tam Nakano, Natsuko Tora and Konami.

The first match in the tournament will see Giulia face Konami.

The second match will be Tora vs Tam.

But that is not all for the big match announcements. It was also announced that the vacant Future of STARDOM Championship will be on the line in a Three Way match between Maika, Saya Iida and Saya Kamitani.

Artist of STARDOM Championships

On July, 23 in Osaka there is a six women tag team match for the Artist of STARDOM Championships. The Oedo Tai trio of Natsuko Tora, Saki and Sumire challenging Donna del Mondo’s, Giulia, Syuri and Maika.

World of STARDOM Championship

Mayu Iwatani vs. Jungle Kyona for the World of STARDOM Championship. This will be for the first time ever the two competitors have met in singles competition.

At New Summer 2020 – Day 2 Kyona challenged Iwatani for the title and Iwatani gladly accepted. The match will take place in Kyona’s hometown of Nagoya on July, 24.

High Speed Championship

Riho made her return to STARDOM at New Summer 2020 – Day 1. Riho teamed with Mayu Iwatani to take on Momo Watanabe and AZM. STARDOM have wasted little time in getting back to business and have announced that Riho will defend her High Speed Championship in a Three Way Battle against AZM and Starlight Kid. The match will take place at Korakuen Hall on July, 26.

Also at that event a new Wonder of STARDOM champion will be crowned when the finals of the tournament will take place.

To say we are excited for the rest of STARDOM’s July schedule would be a massive understatement. Check back for the results of all shows.

What do you make of the matches and which one are you looking forward to the most? Let us know in the comments below. As always stay tuned to Diva Dirt for all of your STARDOM news and updates.

Diamante returns on AEW Dark in tag team action

Diamante returns to AEW for the first time since February and will be in action on tonight’s episode of Dark. Diamante will team with Rache Chanel to take on the tumultuous team of Allie and Brandi Rhodes.

Diamante has appeared on AEW Dark before taking on Big Swole back in January, 15 and against Kris Statlander in February, 12.

Diamante isn’t the only one returng to the AEW ring tonight. Rache Chanel recently took on Big Swole on the July, 7 episode of Dark.

The timing of Diamante’s appearance is interesting as it comes five days after Diamante called out AEW and Kenny Omega on their disproportionate booking of the women’s division. Referring to Nyla Rose’s match at Fyter Fest – Night 2, Diamante shed light on the minimal amount of time that was allocated to the women during the 2-hour show.

AEW’s women’s division has been hit and miss despite having a great roster. Many fans have voiced their criticism of the company’s handling of their women’s division and despite promises from Omega, Cody and Brandi Rhodes we are yet to see substantial improvement.

Diamante would be a great addition to the women’s roster. She is young, hungry and not scared to voice her opinions. Judging by her tweet she certainly has a point to prove on tonight’s show.

What do you make of Diamante’s tweet and return to AEW? Let us know in the comments below. As always stay tuned to Diva Dirt for all of your AEW news, reviews and updates.

The Nightmare Sisters announced for Fight for the Fallen

AEW has announced The Nightmare Sisters, Brandi Rhodes and Allie will be in action at tomorrow night’s Fight for the Fallen.

Brandi and Allie have formed a rocky but effective partnership in recent weeks. Their tumultuous relationship is plain to see but they have picked up the victory every time they have teamed up together. On the June, 30 episode of Dark the Sisters defeated KiLynn King and Skyler Moore. Allie tagged herself into the match, beat up their opponents before tagging in Brandi and allowing her to score the pinfall. On the June, 16 Dark the duo picked up the win against Kenzie Page and Red Velvet.

Despite their winning ways, Allie and Brandi remain suspicious of one another leaving a big question mark hovering over their ability to work together as a team.

Another interesting point about the match is that it was at last year’s Fight for the Fallen when Allie and Brandi faced off against each other. Brandi would get the victory in that match via heelish ways. Could we see The Nightmare Sisters come to an end at this year’s Fight for the Fallen? We’ll have to tune in tomorrow night to find out.

What do you make of the match and do you think they can co-exist to get another victory? Let us know in the comments below. Stay tuned to Diva Dirt for all of your AEW news, reviews and updates.

Winners & Losers: RAW 07.13.20

Heading into tonight’s show we knew that the women’s tag titles would be on the line between the champions Bayley & Sasha Banks vs. The Kabuki Warriors. What we didn’t know is in addition to this exciting match we would see the return of both Bianca Belair and Shayna Baszler.

First came Belair as she finally evened the odds for Ruby Riott when it comes to The IIconics. Over the past couple of weeks, Riott has fallen to both Peyton Royce and Billie Kaye in separate one-on-one matches. This week, The IIconics expected a handicap match as Riott has no friends according to them. Belair entered declaring she will have Riott’s back this week.

The majority of the match showed why The IIconics are united and strong as a team. They isolate Riott through most of the match preventing her from tagging in Belair. Billie Kay even hits Shades of Kay on Riott but her determination to stop her losing streak allowed her to kick out.

After a jawbreaker from Riott to Peyton Royce, she was able to create separation as she crawls her way to her corner to try and tag in her partner. Kay is able to get her own tag however and tries to drag Riott away from her corner. Riott is able to break away and get the tag to the EST. Belair takes it to Kay including driving her into the corner and doing squats with Kay on her shoulder.

After a handspring that conveniently knocks Royce off the ring apron, Belair goes for a cover on Kay, but Royce is able to break it up. Riott comes back in the ring just enough to deliver a step up enziguri to Royce. This allows Belair to dodge a Shades of Kay to delivered a KOD. She picks up the pin and the win for her team putting Riott finally in the win column.

As mentioned earlier, Baszler made her return as well tonight. As R Truth was in the ring asking Akira Tozawa why he had so many ninjas to help him, Baszler’s music hits. Tozawa sent his ninjas one by one to Baszler who made short work of each one of them. He decided to then duck out of the ring himself by going underneath the bottom rope. Truth took the same route as he backed his way out of the ring to avoid an attack from the Queen of Spades.

She called out all the “weak-minded champions” who she believes are fooling themselves. Fooling themselves under the delusion that they are in control. She says she is here to hit them with a dose of reality, and she is that reality.

The main event of the show yet again went to the women, as it should be (always). It was the advertised Women’s Tag Team Championship match between Sasha Banks & Bayley vs. The Kabuki Warriors. And what a match it was.

The tag champs don’t waste any time as the match begins with them jumping The Kabuki Warriors before the bell rings. Kairi Sane and Asuka are able to fight back as they are able to get the champs out of the ring so that they can reconvene.

Personally, a lot of the highlights of the match involve Sane. Once Sane is tagged into the match she hits Bayley with a running blockbuster only to have Banks interfere. Sane then turns around and executes an arm drag on both. This then turns into a double spear on the tag champs. Sane doesn’t stop there as she hits a Bayley in the corner with a Sliding D for a near fall.

Both Banks and Asuka make blind tags as Bayley is sent out of the ring. Banks also ends up out of the ring as well and The Kabukis hit a double hip attack in the ropes. Asuka then focuses on Banks for this portion of the matchup.

The next big highlight comes from the champs as they showed their tag team skills by launching Sane into the barricade/plexiglass. Banks is then in control of Sane with a chin lock once they get back in the ring. After some more double teaming on Sane, Banks nails her with a double knee strike for a count of two. After this, there is some back and forth between Bayley and Asuka.

The champs team up on Sane yet again as Bayley lands a top rope hurricarana followed up by Banks hitting a top rope cross-body. Moments later Asuka traps Banks in the Asuka Lock but Banks is able to get to the ropes. After a blind tag by Sane, she and Asuka take out Banks with some vicious kicks before Sane hits an Insane Elbow for a near fall.

To conclude the match with Bayley and Asuka on the outside, Sane hits Banks with an Alabama slam. She then gets caught charging Banks who locks in the Bank Statement to get a tap out. Bayley and Sasha Banks retain their Women’s Tag Team Titles with a submission victory.

Let’s get into the Winners & Losers:

WINNER: Bianca Belair

A huge return for Bianca was welcomed with open arms. It seems like the original plan was to have Liv and Ruby reunite but with current circumstances, they may be substituting Bianca to keep the storyline going. Of course, this could very well also be a one-off as well. The excuse to keep Bianca off TV because there is nothing for her is rather ridiculous. There is plenty of ways to use her and this one, albeit unexpected, was fun to see.

WINNER: Ruby Riott

Finally back in the win column, although she didn’t get the pinfall – but still. Good to see her back to being a winner after several weeks of losing combined with her not picking a win since returning from injury.

WINNER: Sasha Banks

Getting the win and submission for her team made her look very good heading into Extreme Rules. Although she didn’t cause Asuka to submit and it was Kairi, it still sent a good message. However, in the same regards, I don’t see Sasha going over on Asuka on Sunday.

The main event was a great match. All four women showed out, but Kairi was a shining star during it. I really hope she isn’t leaving because the more I see her the more I appreciate her value.

I don’t really have a loser for this week. The IIconics could maybe be considered losers but just one loss over weeks of wins I don’t see as a setback. Overall a pretty entertaining RAW for me.

What did you think of this week’s RAW? Who were your Winners & Losers? Leave your thoughts in the comment section below.

RAW Discussion Post: 07.13.20

Tonight’s RAW is the last show for the red brand prior to the Extreme Rules pay-per-view on Sunday. Asuka has to defend her RAW Women’s Championship at that event against Sasha Banks, but before they get there they have another title match tonight.

The Kabuki Warriors are getting another crack at the Women’s Tag Titles as they challenge the current champions, Banks & Bayley. This match not only will determine who will walk out as tag champs but could have huge implications of who stays on top between Asuka and Banks heading into their big match on Sunday.
