Kanji gets a shot at the RevPro Undisputed British Women’s Title on April 20 at the promotion’s High Stakes event. The current champion, Mercedes Moné appeared on screen at a recent RevPro event to lay out the challenge.
While speaking with This is a Revolution, Kanji showed her shock and awe that she was going to be able to face Moné next month.
“It’s actually happening now. So I think it just really hit me like, oh my god, it’s not even just words anymore. It’s not even just an idea. It’s real, like it’s happening. It’s just crazy to think that she’s stood there, she’s filmed this, she knows my name. Like that’s crazy. I just couldn’t believe it. Then the response of everyone that lots of people just stood up and started chanting, that i deserve it and I think that really touched my heart because I really didn’t expect anything like that. That was the thing that actually made made me cry. It was that, the audience chanting that, that got me.” (Transcript: Fightful)
Moné has held this title for 82 days and counting after defeating Mina Shirakawa. This will be Moné’s first defense of it. Kanji is a former two-time PROGRESS Women’s Champion in the PROGRESS promotion based out of London.
For the fans of AEW, Harley Cameron has been a breath of fresh air. She has not only the charisma, personality, and humor, she is good int he ring as well!
Harley was able to challenge Mercedes Mone in February for the TBS Championship, which she wasn’t able to capture. However, Harley continues to be a focal point of the women’s division.
While speaking as the first guest on the debut episode of Saraya’s podcast Rulebreakers, Ms. Cameron talks about her current time with the company.
“I love AEW. I’m very very happy and I’m thankful I’m learning every day. They’re great, fantastic. I genuinely love going to work and I think my goal is — I just want to get better. I just want to keep learning. Obviously you want to reach the pinnacle of what you can and achieve everything like that, that sounds so lame and corny, but I truly mean it. The win for me is getting to do it. I love being out there, I love the way it feels, I love how I get scared. That’s how I felt with singing for a while, I would like, I had no notes. To this day, nothing can shake me with a microphone, and I miss that feeling and I found that again with wrestling. The fear of failure and wanting to be better is really exciting. I just love wrestling, I love it. I’m just very wrestling crazy right now.” (Transcript – Fightful)
Harley has been picking up quick wins on Collision. Her last big win was against Deonna Purrazzo on the Feb. 26 episode of Dynamite.
The TNA Knockouts division was invaded by NXT talent this week as both matches involved a TNA vs. NXT dynamic. As a correction to our previous preview reporting of this episode, the championships were not on the line during both of these matches.
First, to open the show, the newly crowned TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Champions, Ash & Heather By Elegance, took on the team of Gigi Dolin and Tatum Paxley. This would be Gigi’s first step over the line, but Paxley had challenged Jordynne Grace last year at Against All Odds for the TNA Knockouts World Title.
Ash picked up the win for her team as she hit Rarefied Air on Paxley to get the pin. The Meta Girls were banned from ringside who also have their eye on the champions. Post match, Ash and Heather were set to celebrate with a cake, but Tatum and Gigi smashed Ash’s face into the cake.
Next, Jacy Jayne took on the Knockouts Champion, Masha Slamovich. Tessa Blanchard, who is ready to take what she feels belongs to her from Slamovich, was banned from ringside. Slamovich picked up the win with Snowplow. Blanchard attacked Slamovich post-match. Xia Brookside and Lei Ying Lee came down to help Slamovich.
In a post made on social media after this episode, Jayne said she is going to be bringing her friends with her next time.
“Xia Brookside, Léi Ying Lee, why? Please tell me why you decided to come down and help Masha Slamovich. Masha doesn’t have any friends, but I get it, I get it. You probably just want a little bit of the Jacy Jayne rub. You won’t be the first and you certainly won’t be the last to try to get a little bit of the NXT Rockstar shine. But unfortunately for you, I’m coming back to TNA and I’m bringing my friends. You all have made a fatal mistake.”
EXCLUSIVE: @jacyjaynewwe is coming back to TNA and bringing some of her friends with her. @WWENXT

After having a little back and forth on Twitter with the multi-champion, Mercedes Moné, Athena was prepping for her tag team match with Diamante; Billie interrupted only to be dismissed by the Minion overlord.
Don't project your mediocrity on me… we all know you wish you had a reign this long.
— ROH – Ring of Honor Wrestling (@ringofhonor) March 27, 2025
The tag match was a standard short exhibition match; Athena and Diamante defeated Jordan Blue and Mazzerati for the quick win.
Then we saw a video package highlighting Lady Frost and Taya Valkyrie and their path in CMLL, which saw them compete in six matches, including the finals for the vacant CMLL tag titles. They vowed to be back to get the titles that they deserved.
The countdown to this year’s WrestleMania is in full swing. WrestleMania 41 takes place on the weekend of April 19 and 20. 52 matches in the history of WrestleMania include women. Diva Dirt will countdown two matches daily to rank all 52 leading up to this year’s event.
Melina (c) def. Ashley – WWE Women’s Title Lumberjill Match
This wasn’t good. The match was under 4 minutes, which I guess was expected, however, even with that, the lumberjills weren’t used once. You had about 10 women standing around the ring, just to stand there. You could also tell how green Ashley was here even though I will personally fight for her! Melina retained, but this could have been so much better.
Ashley does appear the following year in a tag team match, but she is put with Maria who isn’t known for her wrestling ability either. That match has yet to come on this list.
43. WrestleMania 14 –
Sable & Marc Mero def. Luna Vachon & The Artist Formerly Known As Goldust
The better Sable match on this list falls just above the previous one. This is also Luna’s second time and higher showing. This match was surprisingly fun, but with a listed dominated by great women’s matches, it still falls towards the lower side.
Sable and Luna worked really well together in this match and the men also made the pace of it seem fun. This was another match that WWE surprising allowed the women to be the decision as Sable pinned Luna. The crowd was really into the finish and erupting with applause showing how over Sable was in this match.
Check back in with us here at Diva Dirt tomorrow for numbers 42 and 41 as the countdown continues!

And thank you to everyone who’s participated so far! It’s been amazing seeing the passion, knowledge, and love for this era of women’s wrestling. I can’t wait to see what’s in store next, and as always—I’m open to suggestions, so feel free to share your ideas!
In a shocking move by TNA earlier this week, Gail Kim was fired from the company. She had been working as a backstage producer, talent relations, and most recently creative during her tenure outside of the squared circle.
The news left a bad taste in many mouths, including other talent and fans alike. Kim responded to the outpouring of support on her social media.
“Just wanted to say thank you to the fans, friends, and especially my peers for all of the support you have given me over the last few days. I’ve received such an enormous amount of love and it really has helped process this change for me. More than anything, I am grateful for all the years and opportunities I was given to help build something I always dreamed of. The KO division is and will always be my heart and all the women who were a part of it. Thanks to the incredibly hard working and passionate TNA talent & crew that I have had the pleasure of working with. This will not end my passion or my love for wrestling and this is not the end of Gail Kim in the wrestling world. You don’t put 17 years in one company and stop when you are this passionate. I look forward to sharing my journey and am taking some time for myself and prepare for what’s ahead. Looking forward to the future.”
Kim then adds in the caption, “Thank you. And one last thought…More women in leadership roles. Not less.”
A second news outlet is providing further proof to the rumor of the Evolution premium live event returning this summer!
A few weeks ago, Cory Hays of PWNReports and BodySlamNet reported that rumblings of the second Evolution event were on the horizon. The event is tentatively planned for July and will take place at the Mohegan Sun in Connecticut.
WWE is looking to host an *Evolution* PLE in the near future. Everything on the schedule is still tentative, but it’s currently set for 7/5 at Mohegan Sun in Connecticut. We will share more updates as things get confirmed, so stay tuned@PWNReports@thefogjones@ViperReports… pic.twitter.com/IhH8vtVFlf
Now, WrestleVotes is backing up the claim. According to WrestleVotes, they spoke with sources and can confirm that WWE is set to bring back the event this summer and it will be confirmed and officially announce by WWE before WrestleMania.
The last Evolution even took place in 2018 and had Ronda Rousey (c) vs. Nikki Bella for the Raw Women’s Title in the main event. Rousey retained.
On the March 27 episode of TNA iMPACT set to air tonight, NXT will invade TNA receiving two championship matches. Both of these matches evolved from NXT Stars showing up last week.
First, NXT tag teams Meta Four as well as Tatum Paxley/Gigi Dolin have invaded TNA. With new Knockouts World Tag Team Champions Ash & Heather By Elegance, and the former champions Spitfire, all of these teams want a shot at the gold. Paxley and Dolin have been granted this opportunity and will face off against Team Elegance tonight!
Next, the Knockouts World Champion Masha Slamovich has already defeated one NXT talent, Cora Jade. Now, Fatal Influence’s and NXT veteran Jacy Jayne wants a shot at gold. She will challenge Slamovich for the title tonight!
The countdown to this year’s WrestleMania is in full swing. WrestleMania 41 takes place on the weekend of April 19 and 20. 52 matches in the history of WrestleMania include women. Diva Dirt will countdown two matches daily to rank all 52 leading up to this year’s event.
Man, this was bad. The match with all of these talents (and Vickie) lasted only 3 and a half minutes and the majority of the match was them teaming up on Vickie and the other half was every woman hitting one move. This match had two champions in it, Michelle McCool as the Women’s Champion and Maryse as the Divas Champion. There was no need for this match, at all. If they wanted to have something funny for Vickie to do, it could have been done with just a regular tag team match.
Vickie would get the pin on Kelly and it was a heck of a botch. First, Vickie executed the worst frog splash in history. I get this was an homage to her husband and I bless them for that thought, but man, this was just no. Then, Kelly’s shoulders were up when they probably shouldn’t have been which had to have the referee redo the count.
I wish this match never existed.
45.5. WrestleMania 6 –
Sapphire & Dusty Rhodes def. Queen Sherri & Randy Savage
Disclaimer: When making this list, I accidentally looked over two matches, both ironically being mixed/intergender. So I have added them in as a “.5” just because we are already into the list and I also didn’t want to omit them. The last one came in at # 47.5.
This was a really fun match, especially for Sapphire not being a wrestler. She also got to pick up the win and pin a former champion in that of Sherri, which was a big deal, and received a big pop from the crowd. This was the first mixed tag team match in WrestleMania history.
Miss. Elizabeth was also involved in the match to help Sapphire and Dusty win. This is what a mixed tag team match should feel like. The women really were showcased here.
The only thing I hated with this was the commentary who would go on to call Sapphire fat the entire time.
Personally, I enjoy this match, but it honestly can’t be put too much higher on this list. In fact, although this came after another Sable match (which will come later), I think she did well in her first match at WrestleMania 14 (in a mixed tag team). What was good about this was it did introduce the audience to new women. This was Tori’s first match (having a Mania match as your debut match is huge), and this was the debut appearance of Nicole Bass. Bass helped Sable earn the victory. As a Tori fan, I wish they would have eventually given her a win over Sable for the title later on.
Check back in with us here at Diva Dirt tomorrow for numbers 44 and 43 as the countdown continues!
Maggie Lee started her career on the indies in 2022. She has been working matches with TNA since 2024 and most recently has been a mainstay on their Xplosion show. So far this year she has had three matches, picking up one win against Kelsey Heather. She has also faced Tasha Steelz and Dani Luna in losing efforts.
Josh Barnett is starting to put together the matches for his Bloodsport XIII event that will take place on April 17. He has so far announced six women who will participate in the event. Those are: Natalya, Karmen Petrovic, Miyu Yamashita, Maikia, Konami, and Leyla Hirsch.
It has been confirmed after an exchange on social media, that Natalya will be facing Miyu Yamashita. This will be a first-time match between the two opponents. You can see their social media exchange below. The other matches have not been confirmed as of the time of this writing.
When wrestlers of this caliber ask for a fight with one another, then a fight we will have.
"Queen of Harts" Nattie Neidhart is taking on the karate fighter, Miyu Yamashita, at Josh Barnett's: Bloodsport XIII.
On the March 26 episode of WWE’s Evolve, a new GM was introduced. Thanks to General Manager Ava of NXT, she has appointed Stevie Turner as the new GM of Evolve. And not Robert Stone. Turner took to the ring to celebrate the new position that she had accepted. She has been a co-assistant GM along with Stone underneath Ava in NXT. For Evolve, Stone does commentary with Peter Rosenberg.
Megan Bayne continues to look stronger than ever as she pins the AEW Women’s World Champion Toni Storm in a tag team affair. The match took place in the main event of this week’s AEW Dynamite. It was a former tag team reuniting as Storm and Thunder Rosa, now coined to be Thunder Tits, took on Bayne and Penelope Ford.
Bayne pinned the champion clean to win the match for her team. She is challenging Storm at Dynasty for the championship on April 6.
Tonight’s show will have a match between Zara Zakhar vs. Kendal Grey. Also, Robert Stone has posted on social media that there will be a first Evolve Town Hall.
What could this be?
Discuss the show below.
BREAKING NEWS that’s kicking Evolve off tonight…
Plus during the show Tubi is hosting a watch party….
In an interview with Tokyo Sports, the inaugural Marigold World Champion Sareee says she should be the one to end Mayu Iwatani’s reign as the IWGP Women’s Champion. Iwatani has held this gold since she defeated Mercedes Mone for it back in April 2023. She is approaching two years as champion.
A match for this championship has been set up for All Star Grand Queendom 2025 on April 27 between Iwatani and Syuri. Sareee has gone on to say in her interview and question why Syuri is the one that has the opportunity to take the title away from Iwatani, especially while Syuri is taking part in a play. Sareee adds that she believes Syuri doesn’t even care about the championship as much as she does.
Sareee says that it won’t mean anything if she isn’t the one to end Iwatani’s reign. She promises to be the one to take the gold off of Iwatani even though she won’t be the next challenger.
Both Saree and Syrui have attempted to take the gold from Iwatani in the past. Sareee had challenged Iwatani for this title at All Star Grand Queendom 2024 last April in a losing effort. Syuri challenged for the title at STARDOM Ittenyeon Stardom Gate in January 2024 and came up short as well.
On the March 26 match that was aired on the X Platform, Sol Ruca took on Katana Chance and walked away with a win. After trading back and forth victory rolls, Ruca hit the Sol Snatcher for the win. She will take on the winner from the next week’s match between Michin and Shayna Baszler.
LeRae has held the WWE Women’s Speed Title since October where she defeated IYO SKY in a tournament final. She has since defended it against Natalya and Zoey Stark. The number one contender tournaments alternate between the men and the women every few month.
Saraya has been heavily in the news lately with a lot of interviews surrounding her. Everything between her future in the ring, her time with AEW, if she would return to WWE, and promoting her new book have been topics. Even after mentioning that she doesn’t believe she would get the match everyone was waiting for between herself and Mercedes Mone in AEW, she has officially announced her departure from the company. This news was obtained from Saraya’s new podcast and followed up by Entertainment Weekly. Saraya’s podcast, Rulebreakers starts this Thursday, March 27.
“I’m here to tell you that me and AEW’s relationship has come to an end,” Saraya says in the first episode of the podcast. “I had an amazing time there. There’s no bad blood between us. I had such a magical time.”
Saraya has been off of AEW TV for many months for personal reasons. She seems to want to take a step back from wrestling and see what may be next, whether she continues with the industry or not.
“And then I got to thinking — what is there left for me to do in wrestling right now? Right now, there’s really no storylines where I would fit in.” She also clarifies that her departure has “nothing to do” with AEW founder Tony Khan. “It’s just me thinking that I just don’t fit in right now. I feel like I might be taking someone else’s spot, someone who could be doing something really special,” she says.
She thanks AEW and AEW fans –
“Thank you, AEW. Thank you to the AEW fans — I loved my f—ing time there,” she says. “Tony’s f—ing awesome. And anyone that goes to work there will just enjoy their time. It’s just great. And I’ll miss the girls’ locker room. I’ll miss you, but don’t be a f—ing stranger! You know where I am. I see some of you outside the company anyway.”
Saraya joined AEW in 2022 and eventually became the AEW Women’s World Champion. She returned to the ring in AEW after she left WWE and had not wrestled since 2017 due to a neck injury.
Fightful was the first to report on this based off an email that was sent out by TNA. They have put out another report with more information and about reactions to Kim in particular being fired.
Fightful states that over a dozen TNA talent have reached out to them regarding Kim’s firing. These reactions were met with shock, disbelief, and anger. It was an overall unpopular move based on who Fightful spoke to. One talent even stated that they will not remain with the company when their deal is up. Others stated they were scared for their jobs.
One person did state that they weren’t surprised because Kim can be very outspoken when it comes to creative and would sometimes butt heads with those in control. Another person added that although this is true, “that’s what you want out of a person in her position. Someone who will advocate for a better show.” Kim has been direct with her complaints and could not have been more professional, Fightful was told. She was pushed very heavily into creative for the Knockouts since Scott D’Amore’s exit last year. As upset as talent was publicly, they were even more so privately.
Sources from both AEW and WWE have expected Gail Kim to get interest across the wrestling industry. A few said that they were going to push for her. Fightful was todl Kim does plan on continuing with the industry. The report further states that the decision for these firings were from TNA President Carlos Silva and he told Kim she was fired but didn’t provide a reason outside of “changes.”
Kim has a no non-compete clause and can show up anywhere she wants or work wherever immediately.
The countdown to this year’s WrestleMania is in full swing. WrestleMania 41 takes place on the weekend of April 19 and 20. 52 matches in the history of WrestleMania include women. Diva Dirt will countdown two matches daily to rank all 52 leading up to this year’s event.
Watching this match back for this list, the match itself wasn’t bad considering this timeframe. However, much like the Playboy Pillow Fight Match (that has already made this list), this match turned into something different and that was morseo a bra and panties match, with the ladies already stripping down to them to start the match.
Anything of this type of match during this time is never going to rank high for many reasons. It did what it was meant to do during the time it was meant to do it. They all looked great though!
47.5. WrestleMania X –
Luna Vachon & Bam Bam Bigelow vs. Doink & Dink the Clown
Disclaimer: When making this list, I accidentally looked over two matches, both ironically being mixed/intergender. So I will be adding them in as a “.5” just because ws are already into the list and I also don’t want to omit them.
Another gimmicky, comedy, type of match (there certainly is a pattern of these from early WrestleMania’s when it comes to the women). For what it was, it was fine. Luna is a WrestleMania winner (her other match that she loses has yet to make this list). So, in that regards, this was good for her. However, what I found odd was that this was considered a mixed tag and not an intergender, as if Dink wasn’t a man but could only wrestle with Luna?
This was a hard watch. Now, I know Maria isn’t a wrestler, but they had this excuse about her bruised/injured ribs as to why she was dominated during her part of the match. They covered it up by having Eve do “more damage” to them. Maria laying on the mat for the majority of this over six-minute match was excruciating to sit through. Honestly, I just wish they would have put in an actual wrestler in Maria’s place. I never fully understood, and still don’t, these celebrity inclusions. I know it is to draw more eyes to the product but still. It wasn’t until recently that the celebrities such as Bad Bunny took the time to train and actually put on a quality match. And yes, we will see where Snooki lands on this list.
Beth was also the Divas Champion in this. She couldn’t have just had a singles match against Kelly? Positive note is that Kelly’s gear was great!
Check back in with us here at Diva Dirt tomorrow for numbers 46 and 45 as the countdown continues!
On the March 26, 2025 episode of NXT, Stephanie Vaquer was at the center of a turbulent night, defending both of her titles in two separate matches. Let’s dive right in!
NXT Women’s Championship: Stephanie Vaquer (c) vs. Jaida Parker
We opened with the NXT Women’s Title on the line — Vaquer’s first match of the night, and Jaida Parker looking to cash in on the chaos.
The bell rang and Jaida started aggressive, locking in a wristlock and slamming Vaquer down twice for good measure. Stephanie flipped through and countered into a leglock, but Jaida hit the ropes. A slick tilt-a-whirl roll-up from Steph got two, followed by another quick nearfall to remind Jaida who the champ is.
Jaida switched gears, locking in a bodyscissors. Vaquer smartly rolled her shoulders onto the mat to force Jaida to break it or risk a pin. A scramble led to Vaquer striking her way out of the ropes. Jaida avoided a corner attack and dropped double knees to the spine as we hit commercial.
Back from break, Jaida stayed in control, whipping Stephanie corner to corner and going for a sidewalk slam — but Steph wriggled free. Jaida landed a backstabber for two, then walked into a big boot and a rope-hung triangle from Vaquer (only legal for four seconds, folks).
Springboard crossbody connected. Into the ropes, Fate Kick! Stephanie followed with her signature legscissor head smashes, but Jaida powered up and nailed a Falcon Arrow.
Jaida looked to finish it with an inverted suplex, but Vaquer floated out. Into the ropes — spinebuster! Jaida set up for the Tear Drop in the corner… but Jordynne Grace showed up on the ramp to give her a piece of her mind.
Jaida turned back around just in time to get rolled up. Winner: Stephanie Vaquer (retains NXT Women’s Championship)
Post-match, the fireworks exploded. Jordynne and Jaida had to be separated, and then Fatal Influence jumped Stephanie. Jacy Jayne and Jazmyn Nyx held her down while Fallon Henley added insult and a right hook. Jacy followed with a series of sentons that looked more personal than professional.
Ava went to check on Stephanie in medical, but before she could even speak, Lash Legend cornered her to complain about Gigi Dolin and Tatum Paxley getting an Impact Tag Title shot. Gigi and Tatum argued their case before storming out.
Meanwhile, Ava asked Stephanie if she could still compete. Vaquer didn’t blink.
Tag Team Match: Lash Legend & Jakara Jackson vs. Gigi Dolin & Tatum Paxley
Gigi and Lash locked up first, with Lash asserting dominance early, tossing Gigi like a gym towel. Jakara tagged in for some tandem offense — splash from Jakara, splash from Lash, and a forearm finisher off the ropes for two.
Gigi scrambled for the tag, bringing in the unhinged energy of Tatum Paxley. She hit a dropkick to Jakara’s knee, then locked in her elevated submission until Lash broke it up.
Some streaming issues disrupted things (shoutout to whoever’s watching on 5G in the parking lot), but when the feed came back, Lash was planting Tatum with a pump kick. Jakara added a series of knee drops and an arm slam for a nearfall.
Lash hit a bodyslam and got two, but momentum shifted fast. Gigi tagged in, dropped the Meta Girls, and let Tatum clean up. One Cemetery Drive later, and it was lights out. Winners: Gigi Dolin & Tatum Paxley
Main Event – NXT North American Championship: Stephanie Vaquer (c) vs. Fallon Henley
Still bruised from earlier, Stephanie walked into her second title defense of the night like a final boss.
Jacy Jayne distracted Vaquer immediately, letting Fallon hit a suplex and a one-count. Fallon kept the pressure on in the corner with kicks and stomps, then hit a gut kick and a waistlock. Vaquer fought out, landing a jawbreaker and a superkick.
She went for the Fate Kick — but Fallon ducked, yanked her into the corner, and landed a brutal ringpost-assisted kick before the break. Back from commercial, the match stayed heated. Vaquer fought off a knockdown with a shot of her own. Fallon drove her into the ropes and went for another big kick, but Vaquer slipped out and turned the tide.
Fallon nailed a rib shot and went up top, only to be caught — SUPERPLEX by Vaquer!
Both women traded strikes from their knees. Fallon hit a kick, but Vaquer fired back with Eat Defeat! She slammed Fallon’s head into the corner and followed with a charging Meteora. Fallon countered a follow-up with a German suplex and a stomp, then hit the ropes — Vaquer rolled her up, two-count. Stephanie went to the outside to take out Jacy Jayne, but was blind-sided by a Nyx Kick from Jazmyn Nyx.
Vaquer was tossed back in — Fallon hit a Blockbuster! One, two… NO!
Fallon tried to finish it, but Vaquer dodged and kicked her in the jaw. Nyx tried another distraction, but Fallon got shoved into her instead. SVB Driver! That’s all she wrote. Winner: Stephanie Vaquer
After the bell, Fatal Influence pounced again — but this time, Jordynne Grace stormed the ring. She took out Jacy and Jazmyn like they were light work and stared down Fallon before handing both titles to Stephanie…Though she held onto the North American Title just a moment too long.
Jaida Parker rushed back in to attack Jordynne, but the powerhouse swatted her away. Vaquer spun Jordynne around, and the two locked eyes in a tense moment that screamed “future main event.”
Stephanie Vaquer may have walked in with two belts and walked out still double champ, but the storm is far from over. Fatal Influence isn’t done. Jaida Parker wants her runback. And now, Jordynne Grace has her eyes on both titles. With Stand & Deliver around the corner, NXT’s women’s division is less about who’s next — and more about who’s left standing. Sound off in the comments!
Mina Shirakawa most likely will be coming stateside as a report has emerged of her leaving STARDOM at the end of this month. This is being reported by Tokyo Sports. Her contract was not renewed at the end of last year, per her decision.
“After leaving the company, Shirakawa is likely to make a full-scale foray into the U.S. ring,” Kimoto Riju of Tokyo Sports said in his report via Google Translate. “According to multiple sources, Shirakawa informed the company of her intention to leave at the end of last year.”
Shirakawa has been working with STARDOM for nearly five years. She has gone on to become highly decorated in the promotion to include: Two-time Artist of Stardom Champion, Future of Stardom Champion, Goddess of Stardom Champion, and Wonder of Stardom Champion.
Shirakawa was a founding member of two groups while in the promotion, first Cosmic Angels (with Tam Nakano and Unagi Sayaka) and then Club Venus (with Mariah May and Xia Brookside). The latter is now known as Empress Nexus Venus, which she is still the leader of. Her team with just Mariah May was known as Rose Gold. She has also appeared in AEW on numerous occasions during the ups and downs of the relationship between May and Toni Storm.
Also, a former RevPro Undisputed British Women’s Champion, Shirakawa dropped the title to Mercedes Mone in January at NJPW x AEW Dynasty in a Winner Takes All match.
The American Made Superstar has been featured more lately on Raw as she had a Women’s Intercontinental Championship opportunity a couple of weeks ago against the champ – Lyra Valkyria. Although Nile came up short, her eyes seem to still be on the prize.
In the promo, Nile calls the other women in the locker room incompetent and ignorant despite not feeling that they have evil motives. She says although it sounds harsh, she is tired of being at the bottom of the barrel with losers. If she doesn’t advocate for herself, then who will? She knows her worth!
“My goal is championships, not TikTok followers,” says Nile. She continues, “This is the land of opportunity to everyone in that locker room now has the opportunity to get their teeth kicked in, and if you don’t understand that, maybe you show grow a spine and have some self-respect.”
Former seven-time TNA Knockouts Champion and TNA producer Gail Kim is no longer with the company. According to news produced by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, an email went out that stated Gail Kim, Ariel Shnerner, Rob Kligman and Michael Shewchenko have been fired from the company.
Kim had worked backstage in TNA for the past several years and in 2024 was also working in creative.
The email reads as it pertains to Kim specifically states –
Gail has had a long and storied career in TNA as both a champion wrestler and a part of the TNA leadership team, Gail has been a powerful presence in our locker room, supporting our talent and their great performances.
Per PWInsider, Hunter Johnson, also known as Delirious, will head creative, and Tommy Dreamer will continue in his role on the team. They will report directly to Silva. Dreamer will also head Talent Relations following Kim’s departure.
Senior Vice President of Digital, David Clevinger will be starting in April as well, while Senior Vice President of Sales, Nicole Rachine, has already started with the company this month.
To be clear, these are firings.
