The longest-reigning and former three-time AEW Women’s World Champion Hikaru Shida will be making her return to TV and is entering the Owen Hart Cup Tournament.
Shida becomes the fifth out of eight women confirmed after Willow Nightingale, Kris Statlander, Mariah May, and Saraya. Saraya was confirmed on Rampage in a promo by Harley Cameron.
Shida last wrestled for AEW in January while she challenged Athena in a losing effort for the ROH Women’s World Title at Supercard of Honor in April.
The finals of the Owen Hart Cup are set to take place on the July 10 Dynamite. The winner will receive a future title opportunity.
On Saturday, Bayley headed into Clash at the Castle in Scotland against the home country gal Piper Niven. The champ was also the birthday girl so she entered the match wanting to leave it still champion more than ever.
Unlucky for Niven, her tag team partner Chelsea Green was ejected from ringside but would return with a Luchador mask on. Now we can’t confirm that it was Nacho Chelsea Verde, but it most likely was!
The match was a highlight of the show as it had Niven looking the best she has in quite some time. However, the home field advantage that worked for Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn (who won the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles earlier in the show) wasn’t so lucky for Niven. Bayley retained after Niven countered the Rose plant but sneaked in with a Crucifix pin.
Elsewhere on the show Maxxine Dupri reluctantly joined Otis at ringside for Chad Gable’s Intercontinental Championship match against Sami Zayn. Gable had both Dupri and Otis prepped and ready to help him cheat to win, but it did backfire.
Gable handed the IC Title belt to Dupri to use on Zayn while he distracted the referee. Dupri couldn’t go through with it which led to a moment where Zayn almost landed the helluva kick on Dupri. Gable would berate Dupri at ringside until Otis stepped between them. After an altercation which knocked Dupri down, Gable distracted the referee once again so that Otis would attack Zayn, but just like Dupri, Otis didn’t struggled to do it and didn’t. Instead he picked up Dupri and carried her away from the ring. Zayn retained.

Home-country girls take the win as we crowned new champions in Glasgow Scotland at Clash at the Castle.
In a very solid match with three strong teams, the Unholy Union (Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn) emerge as the new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. This dethroned Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair at 42 days. The match included Zoey Stark and Shayna Baszler in the Triple Threat.
The now former champions, Belair and Cargill dominated the first half of the match. It wasn’t until the other two teams came together realizing that the four of them had to take out Belair and Cargill from the equation. This allowed the four women to make the match a regular tag team match for a bit.
At one point, Baszler locked in the Kirifuda Clut h in on Cargill. With referee Jessika Carr behind Baszler she didn’t see that Cargill slightly tapped out. This was noted by commentary.
The final moments of the match had Cargill and Belair hit their tag team move on Baszler. This kept Baszler down to where Cargill was going to go for the cover. Dawn appeared back in the ring and suplexed Cargill out of the way and pinned Baszler herself. The Unholy Union become new champions!
This is Fyre and Dawn’s first reign as WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. They are former and last NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions as they lost that unification match to Shayna Baszler and Ronda Rousey.
Clash at the Castle in Glasgow, Scotland is here and will air in the United States at 2 PM ET. There are two women’s matches on today’s card. They are as follows.
Saturday is Clash at the Castle and it will be airing at 2 PM EST. There are two women’s matches on the card and both for championships. You can find Diva Dirt’s predictions below.
NICK: This would be a perfect match type for Bianca and Jade to lose without being involved in the outcome. There’s also no need for them to either split Jade and Bianca up yet. Neither would be going for the WWE Women’s Title as Bayley has Nia Jax next. So I am sticking with the current champs because it makes no sense to me to drop the titles.
WINNERS: Jade & Bianca
JOEY: Going back and forth between what I think will happen vs. what I want to happen for this match. I’m enjoying this partnership between Jade & Bianca, it’s a good way to give Jade some more reps while giving Bianca something relevant to do outside of the main title picture. That being said, it’s hard to imagine anyone in the tag division pinning or submitting either member of this pair but given that this is a triple threat, the champs don’t need to be involved in the finish. The feel good moment would be for Alba & Isla to get the upset victory by pinning Zoey but WWE has shown no priority in establishing The Unholy Union as a formidable tag team while Shayna on the other hand has been getting a renewed focus. I do believe we should crown new champs here and start building tension between Bianca & Jade for a match at SummerSlam. So I’ll go with who I want to see walk out of Clash as champions and that is… WINNERS: Alba & Isla
ALGEO: Again, it’s hard for me to see Bianca and Jade losing those titles because they are built like super heroes at this point now. I do understand that it is a Triple Threat and the two don’t have to be involved with the pinfall to lose the titles. But, realistically I don’t see them losing it to the two opposing teams.
NICK: This will be a great match! The crowd is going to be so loud for this also! Even though I think it is WAY overdue for Piper to hold singles gold, AND she is in her hometown, I just don’t see that W at this time. Going with the Role Model here.
WINNER: Bayley
JOEY: Can’t wait to see how the crowd is split between Piper and Bayley. With Nia in the wings challenging the champion at SummerSlam, it feels like Bayley retaining is a foregone conclusion. Granted we have MITB before SS so we could get an unpredictable finish here, especially with Chelsea at ringside though I doubt it. Still, I’m glad Piper has the opportunity to compete for a championship in her home country. I hope to see Chelsea pull out all the tomfoolery for Bayley to overcome. Let’s get some stronger booking for Bayley on Smackdown after this please and thank you.
WINNER:Bayley
ALGEO: If there’s one thing for certain, the crowd will for sure be hot for these two. Bayley gets a reaction all the time overseas, and Piper has the home field advantage. Unfortunately for Piper, I don’t see it being in her favor this time around. Bayley still has a lot to do within this title reign. But, given time I think they could pull of a spectacular match here.
Surprises were in store and titles were at stake as TNA was in Chicago, Illinois tonight for Against All Odds.
To kick off the night on Countdown to Against All Odds, the team of Masha Slamovich and Alisha Edwards, aptly named “Malisha,” look to defend their Knockouts World Tag Team Championships against The Hex. Allysin Kay and Marti Belle have been running amok recently on Impact, and look to finally get their hands on some Knockouts gold.
The match starts with Edwards wanting Belle to tag in, but quickly regrets that decision and swiftly tags in Slamovich. The Hex is off to a strong start with their years of chemistry and managing to isolate Slamovich from her corner.
To turn the match around, Edwards plays dirty and Slamovich follows in succession. Kay and Slamovich clash in the middle and make the hot tag out for Belle to take over. Both teams end up in the ring and begin trading moves. The Hex attempt Hex marks the spot, but Slamovich makes the save at the last second.
The Hex setup the champions on the top rope, but Edwards ends up powerbombing Kay to take her out. Slamovich then sets up an Electric Chair for Edwards to hit a Bulldog and successfully defend their titles.
Later, we see Steph De Lander arrive to Against All Odds answering the love letter that PCO had given her a few weeks ago. And her answer to a date with PCO is “Oui.”
After a tough loss at NXT Battleground, Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace looks to defend her title in an open challenge to any women in the wrestling industry to test her odds.
Her opponent…WWE NXT’s Tatum Paxley!
Before the match can even begin, George Iceman interrupts to introduce Ash By Elegance to watch this championship match as always.
The two get involved with some chain wrestling, and Grace is trying to understand the unfamiliar mind games of Paxley. Grace is having none of it, and uses her power to her advantage.
Paxley bites her way out of the Camel Clutch and rolls under the ring. She then leads Grace into a trap and uses the steel beams on the apron to take down Grace. They make it back to the ring and go back and forth, with Grace trying to counter all of Paxley’s tricks. Grace props up Paxley onto the top rope and hits a Muscle Buster in the center of the ring, but Paxley kicks out.
The two find themselves on the top rope again, and shades of Daffney, hits the Lobotomy onto the ring canvas.
Paxley attempts to tap out Grace, but Grace’s power proves to be too much for her. Grace then manages to hit the Juggernaut Driver to win the open challenge and retain her title.
Post-match, Ash sneak attacks Grace from behind with her brass knuckles but gets caught. Grace then grabs champagne from Iceman, proceeding to pour it on Ash and continue celebrating her win.
Later on in the night, we see Edwards again getting involved with the TNA World Championship match between Moose and Matt Hardy. But, her efforts are stopped by Reby Hardy. Only to be shortlived as Hardy herself gets accidentally sent through a table by her own husband.
What did you think about Against All Odds tonight? Did you expect Tatum Paxley to answer the open challenge? And with these wins where do Knockouts champions go from here? Let us know in the comments below!
Friday Night SmackDown aired tonight from the OVO Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland, less than 24 hours away from tomorrow’s Clash at the Castle premium live event.
Bayley’s music played to kick off the action to cheers from fans, but it would be her ally in recent weeks, Naomi, who would be stepping into the ring to face off against Chelsea Green, associate of the Women’s Champion’s Clash at the Castle opponent, Piper Niven. Green subsequently cuts a promo hyping up her friend as a “hometown hero” and promising the fans that they’ll witness both of them in winning efforts.
Green and Naomi lock up to begin, but the tides would quickly turn in Naomi’s favor. Green briefly got out of the ring to recoup and would get her lick back on the Girl with the Glow, with glee across her face and boos from fans reverberating before the first commercial break.
As the show returned from the break, Green had maintained her momentum over Naomi with Bayley and the crowd chanting Naomi’s name, helping her take back control of the match, but it wouldn’t stop Green from kicking out at two. Green would then unleash a more aggressive moveset, but Naomi would reverse her repertoire and win the match. A shocked Green would be comforted by Piper.
A video package would air for Women’s Tag Team Champions Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill. Both women are aware that they have targets on their backs via the tandems of The Unholy Union and Zoey Stark and Shayna Baszler, but promise that they will walk out of Clash at the Castle still the Women’s Tag Team Champions.
B-Fab appeared with the Street Profits as they approached Kevin Owens, with the fab female assuring Owens that the trio have his back in his main event match against Solo Sikoa.
Backstage, Bayley and Naomi were having a conversation that was hijacked on-air with the strange QR codes that have been appearing in the past few weeks. The two end up running into Blair Davenport, who mocks Naomi’s ring gear and “Feel the Glow” catchphrase before walking away. Bayley stops Naomi from trying to attack Blair and tells her that she wants to thank her for having her back. Chelsea Green enters the shot and warns Bayley that come tomorrow, her “pretty piece of jewelry” will be “all ours”, setting up an ambush from Piper onto both the champion and Naomi, pressing them against the wall.
Elektra Lopez accompanied Santos Escobar with the rest of Legado del Fantasma in his match against Apollo Crews. La Madrina proved herself useful by pushing Crews off the top turnbuckle, helping Escobar gain the advantage and pinning him for the victory.
Cathy Kelley was backstage with B-Fab and the Street Profits, asking them about their involvement in the match between Kevin Owens and Solo Sikoa in the main event. B-Fab is given the microphone and talks about how they don’t like The Bloodline, but her spiel is cut short as Solo, Tama Tonga, and Tanga Loa attack the Profits, rendering them unable to help out Owens later on.
Another video package is aired featuring Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark. The two make it clear to their opponents tomorrow that they will be getting into the ring with two of the most heartless and ruthless fighters in WWE. For them, it doesn’t matter who they face; they will tear them apart limb by limb, and that will take them on the path to becoming the new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions.
Once the video package finished, Michin was already in the ring set to take on this year’s Queen of the Ring, Nia Jax, after their backstage brawl last week. Tiffany Stratton has joined Wade Barrett and Corey Graves on commentary. Michin immediately hit a suicide dive and puts up quite the fight against The Irresistible Force. Tiffany is asked as to why she is interesting in aligning with Nia; she cites Jax’s confidence and status as Queen of the Ring. It’s not long before Stratton and Michin get in each other’s faces, with the Buff Barbie pouring a drink of water in her face and getting thrown into the commentary desk for her troubles. The distraction gives Jax an opportunity to establish momentum, finally taking out Michin with an Annihilator and winning the match in quick fashion.
Monday Night Raw interviewer Jackie Redmond made a visit to the blue show to conduct a short interview with fellow Team Red females Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn (The Unholy Union), asking them about their upcoming triple threat match for the Women’s Tag Team Championship at Clash at the Castle. Tomorrow, they plan on making history as the new champions.
Clash at the Castle emanates from the OVO Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland, tomorrow on Saturday, June 15th. The women’s matches for the show will include:
WWE Women’s Championship: Bayley (c) vs. Piper Niven (with Chelsea Green)
WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship: Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill (c) vs. Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn vs. Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark
Chelsea Green, who knows a little something about the TNA Knockouts Tag Team Championships, wants to hold the gold again. In an interview with Cultaholic, Green stated thay she has reached out to Tommy Dreamer. She let him know that herself and Piper would be down to challenge for the belts.
Green is a former Knockouts Tag Team Champion with Deonna Purrazzo, known together as VXT. They held the gold only for a short time before Green returned to WWE and Purrazzo made her exit to join AEW. They held the gold for 56 days before dropping the belts to The Death Dollz in 2022.
Green and Niven together have been WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions before as they held the gold for 126 days.
The current Knockouts Tag Team Champs Re Masha Slamovich and Alisha Edwards. This is their first reign as a team while Slamovich was previously teamed with Killer Kelly known together as MK Ultra. They held the belts together on two separate occasions.

Bayley and Piper Niven were fighting for the crowds love at today’s Clash at the Castle Kick Off event. Niven was welcomed with the “you deserve it chant,” while the crowd sang to Bayley.
Niven came out first as she did her best impression of Triple H. She stated that she got tired of patiently waiting for a title shot. So she started kicking down doors and Bayley, unfortunately for her, answered.
Bayley came out on stage and soaked in the crowd. Despite Niven being in her home country, we know Europe loves Bayley!
Michael Cole asked her what will happen if Niven wins? Bayley stated she has had a lot of losses in her career but she is still here. Niven asked her how does it feel knowing that she is just within minutes of her kicking her head in and taking the title off of her. Bayley says she will be walking out as WWE Women’s Champion.
On Wednesday, Diva Dirt started a poll on who should become the next WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions.
We let you, the readers vote, and here is who you have selected. There were 10 teams to choose from plus a “make your own team” option. The top spot received 320 votes and the total amount of votes were, 1,791.
For the option to name a new team, the comment section included:
The Unholy Union have a chance to make this come true as they are challenging Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill in a triple threat on Saturday at Clash at the Castle. Baszler and Stark will the third team in the equation.
British talent Alex Windsor will be in her first singles match in AEW as she takes on the top of the division, AEW Women’s World Champion Timeless Toni Storm. This match will air tonight on Rampage.
Windsor has had one other match in AEW and that was a tag team loss with Anna Jay against Willow Nightingale and Kris Statlander last month.
Windsor is known for her time in the indies of the UK. Most notably in PROGRESS where she has faced Storm in the past for the PROGRESS Women’s Title. She has won many championships including the EVE Championship, RevPro Undisputed British Women’s Championship, and the Brllatrix World Championship.
AEW has released a well made vignette to introduce Windsor to a new crowd. You can check it out below.
It is the go-home show for TNA Impact! before Against All Odds tomorrow, and on tonight’s episode we have a bit of buildup before heading into the event.
To kick off the night one-half of the TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champions, Masha Slamovich is set to take on Marti Belle. Earlier this week, Slamovich wants a word with her tag team partner Alisha Edwards, but Edwards seems to be more focused on matters with The System. The Hex get involved and say that they’re team “would never,” but Slamovich has some choice words for them.
Onto the match, Belle and Slamovich begin with a war of words and get caught in a bit of chain wrestling. Slamovich is fired up throughout the start but gets caught in the ropes for Allysin Kay to get involved. The numbers-gain proves to be too much as the team of Hex use their dirty tricks as Belle rolls up Slamovich for the win.
The Hex are now scheduled to challenge Slamovich and Edwards for the Knockouts World Tag Team Championships at Against All Odds.
Shortly, we see Xia Brookside and Steph De Lander backstage talking about PCO and his love note a few weeks ago. SDL tells Brookside that she’ll tell PCO how she truly feels come Against All Odds tomorrow. They’re shortly interrupted by Rich Swann and AJ Francis who snatches the black rose offering. But unknowingly PCO is following in tow.
Next in Knockouts action, the team of Spitfire looks to get back on track as Dani Luna is set to face off against Tasha Steelz. The two lock-up and immediately Luna has the power advantage over Steelz, but Steelz looks to counter with her quickness and tenacity.
After the break, the competitors are both trading strikes and eventually meet each other in the middle. Luna attempts to go for the Luna Landing, but Steelz finds a way to get out of it. Steelz attempts to lock in a Crossface, but Luna plays smart and goes for the rope break. Luna then hits a Blue Thunder Bomb off the ropes to take Steelz off her feet.
Luna’s ring awareness gains her the advantage as she finds an opening to hit the Luna Landing and pick up the win.
Later, we see Alisha Edwards along with The System as they attempt to enter the Hardy Compound. Edwards is met with one “Queen Rebecca” Reby Hardy and her daughter. With the powers at be, we see Edwards getting caught in between a guillotine by the hands of Hardy. Despite the horrific scene, this all looks to be like a vision for The System.
For the third Knockouts match of the night, Jada Stone makes an appearance but is interrupted by George Iceman to bring out Ash By Elegance. Stone makes the most of her TV time, but is kicked out of the ring to make room for Ash.
This past Sunday at WWE’s NXT Battleground, we are reminded that Ash made an appearance interrupting the NXT Championship match between Jordynne Grace and Roxanne Perez, along with Tatum Paxley.
Stone and Ash start the matchup, but Rosemary is seen up in the rafters keeping a close eye on this match.
Ash has an impressive start and the two make their way out to the ring, where Ash clocks her. Stone finds her opportunity for the moonsault but Ash manages to get her knees up. Ash goes airborne as well and hits her patented Rarified Air from the top rope to pick up the win.
Finally, we see Grace reflecting on her NXT Women’s Championship match on NXT Battleground. She is disappointed but is proud that she’s made history. She reminds every wrestling promotion out there that she’s issuing an open challenge for her TNA Knockouts Championship tomorrow at Against All Odds.
What did you think about tonight’s TNA Impact? How were the three Knockouts matches tonight? Can Slamovich and Edwards retain their titles? And who will challenge Jordynne Grace at Against All Odds? Let us know your predictions below!
All of the QR Codes that have been shown on WWE programming may all come to fruition as early as this Monday’s episode of Raw.
For months now, WWE has been dropping clues, QR Codes, and more to unveil a new stable which will be a continuation of Bray Wyatt and Uncle Howdy. PWInsider is reporting that the group has filmed vignettes this week.
As PWInsider.com has previously reported, all of the QR Codes on WWE programming of late are leading to a new group that will play off of the Bray Wyatt Intellectual Property.
PWInsider.com has been told by multiple sources that the group was slated to film vignettes this week in advance of their unveiling, which may come as soon as this Monday.
As PWInsider.com has previously reported, the group is currently planned to consist of:
Cross has not been on WWE programming for months now and she was last seem in the ring during a battle royal in November. Her last showings had her in a “trance” every time she was on screen. She was eliminated in that battle royal first by Nia Jax and Raquel Rodriguez without ever moving due to the trance.
With the entire wrestling world breaking doors left and right, AEW is continuing to set its sights towards Forbidden Door with more buildup on tonight’s Dynamite.
TBS Champion, Mercedes Moné, is scheduled to defend her title against Zeuxis, the Inaugural CMLL Women’s Tag Team Champion along with Stephanie Vaquer. Vaquer and Moné are set to go title for title with both the TBS Championship and NJPW Strong Women’s Championship on the line. But, Moné has to get through Zeuxis first.
The match gets started and quickly Zeuxis out speeds Moné with her Lucha style. But, the athlete in Moné learns to adapt to her style quickly. They both make it out to the ring, and Moné throws an arm drag from the announce table.
Zeuxis powers through it and goes airborne on Moné to turn the match around.
The two are back and forth as Zeuxis tries to use her power to her advantage, but the prowess of Moné seems to find ways to counter her offense each time. Zeuxis then hits a devastating Angel Wings setup into the double knees and that looks to be it, but Moné miraculously kicks out.
Zeuxis tries to hit the moonsault but misses. Moné then floats over Zeuxis to setup the Moné Maker and get the win.
Next, we take a look at a video package featuring STARDOM’s Mina Shirakawa along with Mariah May. Shirakawa is set to face “Timeless” Toni Storm for her AEW Women’s World Championship at Forbidden Door.
Renee Paquette is backstage with both Storm and her usual entourage. May thanks Storm for entering her in the Owen Hart Tournament, and announces that a contract signing will be held with Shirakawa and Storm with May as the host. Before we get to the contract signing next week, Storm will face off against Alex Windsor this Friday on Rampage.
What did you think of tonight’s AEW Dynamite? How was the bout between Moné and Zeuxis? And what will go down in the contract signing next week? Let us know in the comments!
Tonight’s Dynamite is one step closer to the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door event. At that event, either AEW TBS Champion Mercedes Moné could become a double champion or the NJPW STRONG Women’s Champion Stephanie Vaquer could walk out with more gold.
But first, Vaquer’s fellow CMLL talent and tag team partner Zeuxis gets a shot at the TBS Title—-tonight!
Marigold announces a new championship as the promotion continues to grow. It will be the SuperFly Weight Championship and it will be introduced as a comparison to the STARDOM High Speed Title. This is the fourth title announced for the Marigold promotion but we haven’t crowned any champions yet at the time of this writing.
The other championships include the Marigold World Championship, the Marigold United National Championship, and the Marigold Twin Star Championship (tag team).
Tokyo Sports has unveiled the look of the SuperFly Weight belt and announced the start of a tournament. The tournament to crown the first Champion will kick off in Kyoto on the June 15 with Misa Matsui vs. Myla Grace and Natsumi Showzuki vs. Zayda Steel.

Bianca Belair And Jade Cargill are sitting firmly at the top of the women’s tag team division as champions —— and they are going to be hard to beat!
This Saturday they will defend their championships in a Triple Threat at Clash at the Castle. Their opponents will be Isla Dawn/Alba Fyre and Shayna Baszler/Zoey Stark. Will one of these two teams become the next champipns? Or will Bianca & Jade retain?
Regardless of the outcome who do YOU want to become the next tag champs? The poll below lists all the current tag teams on all brands. You can vote up to 3 teams!!
The TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace is running high after making history in a match for the NXT Women’s Championship against Roxanne Perez at Battleground. And much like fans, it has Grace wanting more.
Grace spoke with Sports Illustrated and threw out the idea that some fans have mentioned already – a Worlds Collide event between NXT and TNA.
“My pie-in-the-sky dream is to have a Worlds Collide pay-per-view,” said Grace. “That’s something everybody–wrestlers and fans–would want to see.”
Grace will be holding an open challenge this Friday at Against All Odds. Could someone from NXT make their way to TNA?
Welcome back to another edition of NXT!! We’re stacked the first hour of the show and we’re getting right into because the show opens up with the inaugural NXT Women’s North American Champion…
Kelani Jordan!!!
It’s a heartfelt moment for Kelani, she was definitely a longshot heading into the ladder match from Battleground but gold looks good on her as Jordan delivers a heartfelt promo. Before Kelani can bask in the adoration of the NXT audience for long, Jaida Parker interrupts and let’s Jordan know she’ll be taking that NA Title from her. Michin interrupts Jaida with an attack from behind and we go right into our first match!
Michin vs Jaida Parker It’s one baddie against another in this bout, Jaida’s usual trash talking is shut down here by the HBIC herself – physical bout right out the gate which is fitting for these two characters, loving this new gear Michin is wearing btw. Jaida’s temper escalates further and further the more she gets frustrated throughout the match. Parker goes under the ring for a steel chair but the rest of the OC is there to have Michin’s back, Michin scores a sneak roll up victory. Winner: Mia Yim
Wendy Choo vs Brinley Reece So great having Wendy back but she’s ditched the stanley cup and body pillow, instead it seems like this version of Choo woke up on the wrong side of the bed! Major shoutout to the glam team that did Wendy’s makeup, looked incredible. This match was a showcase for Wendy’s new character evolution. I’m really interested to see how far they’ll push the Mei Ying backstory here. Really engaging watch, we only got a glimpse but definitely left me wanting more. Good job to Brinley too who played the face in peril so well. There was a moment in the match where you could tell Reece realized she was in over her head. Choo taps out Reece with the cobra clutch for the victory. Winner: Wendy Choo
Backstage segment with Jacy Jayne and Jazmyn Nyx, we don’t get much until Cody Rhodes is seen walking up to Jacy offering her his clear “Dashing” Cody Rhodes face mask to Jayne. I’ll happily take this Cody rub for Jacy!
After Michin’s victory earlier in the night, she’s going to be Kelani’s first challenger for the Women’s NA Title!
Quick backstage segment with Stevie Turner predicting Roxanne would call out General Manager Ava in the Main Event!
Stevie’s prophecy comes to fruition almost instantaneously, as the NXT Women’s Champion is out in our main event segment to boast about retaining her championing against TNA Knockout’s Champion Jordynne Grace at Battleground. Roxanne has every reason to boast, as she performed excellent this past Sunday.
She calls out General Manager Ava who obliges the champ’s request, Ava’s GM presence improves every week. From here we see that there is no shortage of challengers in the NXT locker room for Roxanne’s title. Jacy & Jazmyn make their presence known first, with Jayne sporting her new “Dashing” face mask. Lash Legend & Jakara Jackson are out next getting their licks in. Segment culminates with Lola Vice stepping to the champ and admittedly, out of all the interruptions, Vice has the strongest argument as to why she should be the next challenger.
I’m surprised they chose this segment to close the show as there was no big swerve or cliffhanger, nor any continuity with Tatum Paxley but a solid NXT overall. I won’t be here for Raw next Monday but there should be some Clash of the Castle predictions coming up and hope to see some of you in the live chat for the PLE on Saturday!
AEW talent Rebel (Not Reba), was reportedly backstage during this week’s episode of NXT.
In a report by Fightful Select, Sean Ross Sapp states the following:
We haven’t learned why she’s (Rebel) there, but she’d appeared for NXT multiple times in the past.
Rebel hasn’t appeared on screen for AEW since 2022, and hasn’t wrestled since August 2022. She remains on the company’s roster page. She is still under contract to AEW.
We’re told that she’s personally connected to someone who works at NXT.
Rebel worked in AEW alongside Dr. Britt Baker and Jamie Hayter. She has also worked in promotions such as OVW, TNA, STARDOM, and more. She is a former OVW Women’s Champion.
Kelani Jordan will be one week removed from being crowned the inaugural NXT Women’s North American Champion and she is ready to defend. She will put her newly won championship on the line next week against Michin.
Jordan had a promo on the June 11 episode of NXT saying how the lineage of the new title starts with her. There’s no prestige to uphold, she will prove day in and day out that nobody can do it like her. Jaida Parker’s music hit and she made her way out to interrupt the champ.
Parker said that the only thing that Jordan proved on Sunday was that she can scurry up a ladder like a damn squirrel. Michin sneaked attacked Parker from behind which led to their match, which saw Michin victorious.

Roxanne Perez addresses the women in the NXT locker room in a State of the Women’s Division
AEW has released a video focusing on Zeuxis who will be competing on this week’s Dynamite on June 12. She will be challenging Mercedes Moné for the TBS Championship.
Zeuxis is a CMLL talent who is currently one-half of the inaugural CMLL World Women’s Tag Team Champions. Her partner? Stephanie Vaquer who will be facing Moné at AEW’s Forbidden Door at the end of the month. That match will be Title for Title, if Moné can retain against Zeuxis. Zexuxis is also a former Mexican National Women’s Champion.
