Liv Morgan is set to do whatever it takes to become the new Women’s World Champion at King and Queen of the Ring premium live event.
On the Countdown show, Morgan was being interviewed about her upcoming match. An unexpected guest approached her, someone who wasn’t even supposed to be in Saudi Arabia, and that was Dominik Mysterio.
When asked by Morgan why Mysterio was there, he stated:
“I flew all the way to Saudi Arabia to make sure you don’t get your hands on Mami’s World Championship”
WWE’s King And Queen Of The Ring premium live event will air on Saturday, May 25 at 1 PM ET. The event is being held in Saudi Arabia. Below are the three matches on the card for the women.
JOEY: While the winners are obvious, props to Candice and Indi for getting a spot on the show (LeRae especially). Bianca and Jade aren’t losing those titles anytime soon but the spectacle of Jade is still more than enough to make me wanna watch this match.
WINNERS: Bianca & Jade
NICK: It would be way too early and random for Bianca and Jade to lose. Unless they do the turn on one another. But that’s a long time away I feel. Plus Shayna and Zoey won a number one contender spot anyway and I am sure they will face Bianca and Jade.
WINNERS: Bianca & Jade
ALGEO: Bianca and Jade are not losing those titles anytime time soon, especially not to Indi and Candice. Jade is unstoppable, which does make me wonder if any team is capable of taking those titles away from them.
WINNERS: Bianca and Jade
QOTR Finals
JOEY: When this tournament began and the brackets were announced, this was not the match up I envisioned for the finals. Not complaining, it’s a fresh bout but I will be disappointed if Nia doesn’t secure the crown. I like Lyra, but not enough to justify a win here and then a title shot at SummerSlam. Not to mention this Queen of the Ring gimmick just seems tailor fit for Jax and she deserves to be the one to dethrone Bayley over on Smackdown. Valkyria will be fine taking a loss to Nia, plus too much too soon is not exactly booking that endears you to a white meat babyface.
Winner and NEW Queen of the Ring: Nia Jax
NICK: I think this tournament was fantastic and one of the best booked in a very long time. I could see it going either way as both women would pose great matches at SummerSlam. However, I think this is made for Nia for some many different reasons. Great introduction for Lyra on the main roster tho!
WINNER: Nia Jax
ALGEO: I feel as though they’ve been wanting to propel Lyra to the moon, and with the crown I think it this would cement her as a top star on the main roster. I do believe Nia can remain a force simply on her own, but it would be interesting to see what Lyra can do with a Queen gimmick. Also, with a buildup into a Summerslam match this could be very beneficial for Lyra depending on who comes out as Champion.
WINNER: Lyra Valkyria
Women’s World Champion
JOEY: A lot is riding on the booking of this match for Liv Morgan and I’m nervous they’re going to hold off on giving Liv the title here bc WWE wants Becky going into Clash as the Women’s World Champion. From an objective standpoint, I understand the logic behind keeping the title on Becky and I’ve read a lot of commenters going back and forth on those who think Liv can lead the division vs. those who think she can’t. Personally, I think Liv has the rizz to warrant a run as the Women’s World Champion but Becky is the safe option. The more I think about the outcome, the more difficult the decision is, so I’m going to forgo logic and let my inner fan pick the winner.
Winner and NEW WWE Women’s World Champion: Liv Morgan
NICK: I love Becky and I love Liv, but I am tired of Liv losing to Becky. I much rather have had Liv take the belt off of Rhea but injuries happen. I still think Liv stays on the upper card though even if she loses because of Rhea returning. I can see a Liv, Rhea, and Becky triple threat at like SummerSlam which would REALLY put Liv over if she can retain there. Let’s go with who I want over what will likely happen just for fun.
WINNER: Liv Morgan
ALGEO: I’m sorry to say, but I don’t think they’re gonna pull the trigger with Liv this time around. In an optimistic world, I would love for Liv to win the title. But snapping back to reality, it almost seems like a cat and mouse game when it comes to Liv’s overall title chase and I almost expect that she’s gonna come up short yet again. But, how long are we going to keep playing that game? Becky is arguably the safe option, but where does that leave Liv and her Revenge Tour? And how is it going to build the story with Rhea? There’s a lot of intrigue with this match, but either outcome these two will undoubtedly deliver.
With the King and Queen of the Ring PLE taking place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia tomorrow from the Jeddah Super Dome, tonight’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown was held from the same venue as the WWE Superstars have been in the country for the past few days.
Triple H made the announcement earlier in the week that the Queen of the Ring winner, as well as the King of the Ring winner, would receive title shots at this year’s SummerSlam PLE.
The semifinal match in SmackDown’s Queen of the Ring would then commence, with Bianca Belair facing off against Nia Jax. Lyra Valkyria, who will be representing Raw in the finals of tournament tomorrow, was seen sitting in the crowd. Clad in bodysuits, Belair dished it out on Jax, gaining the upper hand before the first commercial break.
Returning from the break, Jax was relying on her size and strength to give Belair trouble. The EST’s injured knee seemed fine and went without mention until she hit a crossbody on the Irresistible Force. She continued to push through, but a powerbomb attempt by Belair, who was surprisingly able to hold Nia’s body, did not get her the win. Going back to the knee, Jax was able to take advantage of it and ended the match by hitting a Banzai Drop on Belair to take her to the finals.
Kayla Braxton joined Nia for an in-ring interview. Jax calls out Lyra and threatens her opponent, noting how she has buzzed through women like Bianca, Becky Lynch, and Rhea Ripley, and that she will do so to Lyra the same way tomorrow. Mark her words: by SummerSlam, she’ll be queen AND champion.
Now backstage, Bianca Belair was getting checked out in the medical area. Tiffany Stratton interrupted to tell her, “Better luck next time, loser.” Byron Saxton came in for an interview, but as Bianca expressed her disappointment in not winning the match entered Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell, who mocked Bianca for her still injured knee. A provoked Belair was ready to fight the duo, but her tag team partner and other half of the Women’s Tag Team Champions, Jade Cargill, came to her rescue, leading to Candice and Indi leaving The EST alone.
Another vignette aired for Blair Davenport. She presumably refers to the WWE Universe and likely her fellow wrestlers as “weak” and “lazy”, and that the reason bad things happen to people is because they allow it. She claims that not being good enough makes someone unsuccessful, and while women cry about being overlooked, Blair Davenport has already taken their spot. She challenges her fellow women to come and do something about it if their feelings are hurt by what she says. Sheesh girl… not this gaslighting era.
WWE Women’s Champion Bayley was shown walking backstage, set to face Chelsea Green, before running into Nia Jax, who warned her to keep “that thing” clean for SummerSlam.
The match started and Chelsea made sure to get the ball rolling as she quickly unleashed an attack on the champion, but Green fell victim to a Rose Plant not long after for a victory by Bayley. She had little time to celebrate as Piper Niven put herself on notice by attacking her, with the champion’s night ending with her lying hurt in the ring.
The following matches will be taking place tomorrow afternoon at King and Queen of the Ring:
Queen of the Ring finals: Lyra Valkyria (Raw) vs Nia Jax (SmackDown)
WWE Women’s World Championship: Becky Lynch (c) vs Liv Morgan
Countdown pre-show: Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill (c) vs Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell
AEW Double or Nothing takes place this Sunday and we now have a third women’s match on the show.
In a huge grudge match, Thunder Rosa vs. Deonna Purrazzo has been added to the event for the Buy In. As for the main show, the TBS Title will be on the line between the champion Willow Nightingale and Mercedes Moné. Lastly, Toni Storm will defend the AEW Women’s Title against Serena Deeb.
Rampage took place today as well with Moné appearing.
Nightingale and Kris Statlander defeated Alex Windsor and Anna Jay in tag team action. Moné joined the ring to brawl with her upcoming opponent. Moné nearly dropped Statlander with the Mone Maker but Statlander was saved by Nightingale who would brawl with Mercedes until they were separated by security as the crowd chanted “let them fight.”
Moné closed out the show by holding up the AEW TBS Championship.
As of the tapings for tonight’s SmackDown already held in Saudi Arabia, a Women’s Tag Team Championship match has been booked for this Saturday’s premium live event.
After an altercation, Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill will defend against Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell. This match will take place on the pre-show countdown for King and Queen of the Ring.
Due to WWE being in Saudi Arabia for the King and Queen premium live event, they also have taped SmackDown for tonight. At that show we have Nia Jax vs. Bianca Belair in the semi-finals of the QOTR tournament. The winner goes on to face Lyra Valkyria Saturday at the premium live event.
The result was as follows –
Nia Jax def. Bianca Belair
Jax will now face Valkyria in the finals. The finish saw Nia hit the Annihilator for the pinfall.
The ROH Women’s World Champion Athena called an Emergency MEM (Minion Empowerment Meeting) on this week’s episode. She calls out Queen Aminata who put her hands on tbe champion once again.
It was the ROH Women’s TV Champion Billie Starkz though that stopped Athena to speak her mind. This impressed Athena.
Starkz said that this is MIT’s show, this is Athena’s show. And she asked what has Red Velvet accomplished since being here to which Athena responded “absolutely nothing.” Athena concludes saying she understands why Aminata and Red have attacked the top of the food chain and that is to stay relevant.
Athena adds that they can call themselves whatever they want, but at the end of the day they will never be able to call themselves champions.
Other moments on this week’s ROH includes Nyla Rose defeating Riea Von Slasher and a look into the mind of Marina Shafir.
Jazmyn Nyx will have her second match on TV and her debut on NXT Level Up.
On May 24’s episode, Nyx will take on fellow newbie Lainey Reid. Reid has had herself one prior match on Level Up where she lost to Jaida Parker back in March. Nyx’s debut match on NXT in March was a loss to Thea Hail.
Nyx has been receiving more TV time lately as she has been avenging her mentor Jacy Jayne’s injury by attacking Hail on the May 21 episode of NXT.
The Knockouts World Title was on the line tonight on TNA Impact! as former Knockout Marti Belle looked to challenge TNA Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace.
After losing the Champions Challenge last week, Grace is looking to bounce back after that loss and prove why no one can move the “Juggernaut.”
But, first personal concierge George Iceman announces that Ash By Elegance has suffered some injuries after getting knocked out by Xia Brookside last week with Ash’s bejeweled knuckles. As a replacement, Iceman brings out a mannequin in essence of Ash as a “stand in.”
The Knockouts title match gets underway and Grace is off to a powerful start. Grace seems to power through Belle throughout the match, but Belle attempts to find openings in her offense.
Belle attempts to go for Hell’s Belles during the match, but cannot seem to lock it in after attempting three times. Grace proves that she is just too much for Belle as she hits the Juggernaut Driver for the win. Post-match, Allysin Kay, tag-team partner of Belle, attacks Grace post-match and uses the “stand in” as weaponry. The HEX tag team hit the HEX marks the spot, making a statement against the Knockouts Champion.
Post-match HEX has some words for Grace, and seemingly Belle is taking home a piece of Grace with her.
Next in Knockouts action, Jody Threat goes one-on-one with Tasha Steelz, as the team of Spitfire look to overcome some shortcomings after having lost their titles recently.
Threat tries to make quick work of Steelz throughout the beginning of the match, but Steelz doesn’t go down without a fight. Steelz gets caught on the top rope, but manages to hit a backstabber on the apron to turn the match around.
Threat manages to come back fired up and go wild, but Dani Luna and Rancid’s Lars Frederiksen tell her to go for the cover. She doesn’t heed their words and gets caught in a Cutter with Steelz walking away with the win.
Next, we have PCO seemingly calling out for once Steph De Lander after offering a rose to her last week.
And to cap off the night it is announced next week on Impact, a sitdown interview is scheduled as Gail Kim looks to have another talk with Gisele Shaw.
What did you think of tonight’s TNA Impact? Can Spitfire manage to build back momentum for their tag title hunt? Will HEX get the last laugh against Grace? Sound off in the comments below!
A new report has been released on the current contract standing for Natalya. Her contract expires in a matter of weeks and Fightful Select has more information on it.
Fightful states:
WWE mainstay Natalya will see her contract expire in a matter of weeks unless she and the company strike a new deal. However, Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp can confirm that Natalya has been approached by WWE regarding a possible contract extension. We’ve not heard about terms, but as of now, no deal is signed.
We’re told Natalya is keeping all options open, and has actively been working on projects outside WWE. This includes a possible Hart Family movie.
Natalya has been appearing on NXT and WWE Raw of late, and is in New York this week doing Special Olympics and military work for WWE while they travel to Saudi Arabia.
The winner of this Saturday’s Queen of the Ring finals will go on to have a championship opportunity on their respective brand at SummerSlam. Triple H confirmed this at the King and Queen of the Ring premium live event press conference.
This means currently we have three women still left in the running before it becomes two after Friday night.
Lyra Valkyria has already advance to the finals. The semi-finals match between Nia Jax vs. Bianca Belair will take place in Saudi Arabia on Friday night. The winner will challenge Valkyria on Saturday to not only become Queen but earn a championship match at SummerSlam!
We are about four days away from this weekend’s AEW Double or Nothing, and on tonight’s Dynamite we got a little preview of some long-awaited matches in the women’s division.
We get a preview of this Sunday, as the TBS Championship is on the line with the champion Willow Nightingale looking to prove herself against Mercedes Moné. Moné is set to make her in-ring return after being sidelined from injury for an entire year, having last wrestled for the New Japan Strong Women’s Championship against Nightingale herself. Since Moné’s AEW debut at Big Business, the two have been at odds for weeks and the two finally go head to head once and for all.
In tag-team action, AEW Women’s World Champion “Timeless” Toni Storm and her protégé Mariah May look to shut up the team of Saraya and Harley Cameron after tension brewing for some weeks now. The two teams make their entrances, and Storm is wearing the flag of Serena Deeb’s dojo, continuing to mock her from last week’s Collision.
May and Cameron start the match and are even until they make the tag out to their partners. Storm and May get the advantage on Saraya and cut the ring in half, until Saraya pulls off some dirty tricks. The Outcasts overpower May and Saraya ends up sending her into the barricade.
May finds an opening and Storm makes the hot tag in. Storm and May try to set them up on the top rope, but end up getting countered with a sunset flip powerbomb. In a last-ditch effort, Storm and May manage to lock lips with the Outcasts and hit their finishers for the win.
Post-match, Deeb attacks the Timeless One’s crew with a steel chair and heel in hand and forces Storm to beg for mercy as she locks in a half Boston Crab through the chair. Deeb leaves with her Deeb’s Dojo flag and a chip on her shoulder going into Double or Nothing.
What did you think about tonight’s go-home Dynamite? Will Moné be victorious on her come back or will Nightingale prevail? Who will walk out as the AEW Women’s World Champion at Double or nothing? Sound off in the comments below.
This past Monday’s Raw hosted a huge match between Lyra Valkyria ans IYO SKY with a lot on the line. It was the semi-finals of the Queen of the Ring tournament with the winner heading to the finals on Saturday. Valkyria came out with the victory and lands herself in the finals to go against either Bianca Belair or Nia Jax. One will be crowned Queen.
According to Wrestlenomics, the SKY vs. Valkyria match was the peak viewership of the three hour show. It had 1.9 million viewers watching.
Another credible fact when the women’s locker room is booked properly, the SKY vs. Valkyria match was longer than the WHOLE Queen’s Quest Tournament that took place in 2021. Over 19 minutes for this match as compared to 18 minutes for the last entire tournament.
After a day off due to personal emergencies, Phonie is back baby! And we’re getting right into it because NXT is starting off with a qualifying match to crown the inaugural Women’s North American Champion!
NXT Women’s North American Title Qualifier: Thea Hail vs. Fallon Henley
Match starts with both women mouthing off to each other, and we go right into some intense exchanges! Out of all the qualifying matches we’ve seen thus far, I’d say this is the most unpredictable as an argument could be made for either women on why they deserve to be in the match. Honestly, with the match these two women were having you’d think this was a grudge match. Clever spot where Fallon frames Ridge Holland with the chair in his hand which gets all of Chase U ejected from ringside.
Back from the break, Fallon has taken control and she’s doing great here. I’m not going to lie, her heel turn has only made me like Henley more which is counterproductive to be honest as there’s nothing heelish about her. The story for Thea though is the one they’re telling with Ridge, Fallon hits a shining wizard for the win!
Winner: Fallon Henley
Thea can’t catch a break because Jazmyn Nyx is in the ring with a post match attack on Hail. That all white bodysuit was a choice but the story here is Jazzy is avenging Jacy, not gonna complain about follow up!
NXT Women’s North American Title Qualifier: Brinley Reece vs. Jaida Parker
This rematch proves to be the best bout so far between these two. From what we’ve seen of Jaida thus far, she’s been presented as a dominant competitor in the ring. In this match, we got to see more of Reece’s aggression and sense of competitiveness. Brinley really turned up the volume here and showed herself to be more than a Lisa Frank fanatic. An argument could be made that there were other women in the division that should’ve been put into qualifying matches over either of these two, but I’m a fan of both and of this match. Jaida hits the hip check and advances.
Winner: Jaida Parker
Jazmyn approaches Fallon in the parking lot and gives her a vote of confidence. Potential pairing between the two?
WENDY CHOO IS COMING BACK!!!
Very short vignette but so happy that she’s returning!
Prior to the match starting there was a backstage promo with Shayna and Lola with Shayna warning Lola to keep the rolling hips in the lockerroom.
Onto the main event, really fun tag match between these four with Nattie and Karmen gelling really well together. Karmen stood out the most to me in this match, you could tell she was eager to prove herself amongst her peer and two veterans. She’s also very emotive in her facial expressions. Lola looked good too but nothing deviating too much for her recent performances. Story here was how much better Nattie and Karmen worked together as a tag team and believe it or not, that type of cohesion actually helped the team win the match. Karmen pins Lola after the double team tribute to the Hart Foundation Nattie has pulled off with so many other divas before. I swear Nattie can team with anyone and make it work.
Winners: Natalya & Karmen
After the match, Shayna is disappointed in Lola but Lola blindsides the Queen of Spades with a spinning backfist before taunting her with shaking her ass while Shayna lays there motionless. Lola taunts a little too long though because as she’s leaving, Shayna drags her ass back in the ring and locks in the Kirafuda Clutch while officials rush to ringside to breakup the two superstars. Match is made official for Battleground, it’s going to be in an NXT Underground rules.
Fun NXT show once again, but missing the champ Roxanne Perez. There’s a lot of other things happening within the women’s division but the champ feels like an afterthought with Ava has to rely on main roster talent to work with Perez while the division establishes new challengers. Tegan Nox is the rumored opponent for Perez so that should be a good match.
Next week we also have Sexyy Red coming to NXT! Looking forward to seeing what she brings to the show.
We also have the following to look forward to:
-WWE NXT Women’s North American Title Qualifier: Wren Sinclair vs. Kelani Jordan
-WWE NXT Women’s North American Title Qualifier: Tatum Paxley vs. Michin
– Sexyy Red
– Roxanne will learn who will be challenging for the NXT Women’s Championship at Battleground
So until then, have a great week everyone and if you’re celebrating the holiday happy MDW!
The ladder match set for NXT Battleground is shaping up as Jaida Parker and Fallon Henley are now added. They join the already qualified Sol Ruca and Lash Legend. This match will be used to determine the first-ever NXT Women’s North American Champion.
On the May 21 episode of NXT, Parker took on Brinley Reece. The final moments of the match had Parker hit her hip check finisher to get the three count on Reece.
As for the even more personal fight between Henley and Thea Hail, Henley took advantage of every moment. At one point, Chase U was ejected from ring side after Ridge Holland was caught with a chair in hand that Henley originally pulled out from under the ring. Henley connected with a Shinning Wizard to get the pin.
Post match, Jazmyn Nyx attacked Hail and ended it with her dangerous pele kick.
Next week, the final two women will be confirmed for the ladder match as Michin takes on Tatum Paxley and Wren Sinclair battles Kelani Jordan.
Brandi Rhodes has opened up about her health discovery and treatment. She has confirmed that she was diagnosed with Stage 4 Endometriosis and has gone through successful surgery.
Rhodes writes on her social media:
3 years of pain with no answers. @MaryseMizanin ‘s story encouraged me to press on. Many appts later, we found the answer. Stage 4 endometriosis. Successful surgery today. Ladies, listen to your bodies. We don’t have to live with pain. Advocate for yourself. Finally on the road to recovery we have to talk more about women’s health. Love you @CodyRhodes . I am so blessed with your love.
Rhodes credits Maryse for opening up about her health struggles. Maryse in February, revealed she was diagnosed with Serous Borderline Ovarian Tumors. In March, she announced she was tumor free.
Brandi has not been an on-screen presence since Cody returned to WWE. She was an active wrestler in AEW and a valet for her husband. She did make a special appearance at WrestleMania XL during Cody’s entrance and his celebration post-match in the ring.
Diva Dirt wishes the best for Brandi in her healing journey and her health.
Jordynne Grace will be taking on Marti Belle rhis Thursday on TNA’s iMPACT! And it will be for the TNA Knockouts World Championship.
Belle’s last TNA appearance was in March 2023 where she teamed with her Hex partner Allysin Kay. It was at No Surrender in a match against Taya Valkyrie and Jessicka for the Knockouts Tag Team Titles. Belle last has a match with ROH in April where she lost to Lady Frost.
Grace last defended the title against Miyu Yamashita in April.
Grace and Belle have never shared the ring before.
In some terrible news, Alba Fyre has shared that her mother has passed away. She took to her Instagram to share a photo and a caption which reads:
”The world won’t be the same with you. Love you mum.”
The comments are filled with wrestlers sending their condolences. Diva Dirt adds to that and sends our love to Alba and her family during this difficult time.
Unfortunate news broke earlier today that Giulia has suffered a fractured wrist in her match for the Marigold promotion on Monday. With this in mind, she still plans to face Sareee ar Marigold’s next event in July.
But where does that leave WWE with Giulia?
According to a new report by Corey Brennan of Fightful Select, the plan is still to have Giulia debut at Heatwave against Roxanne Perez.
On May 21st, it was announced that Giulia had suffered a fractured wrist and would be out indefinitely. Following the news breaking, Brennan reached out to NXT and WWE sources, with those we spoke with noting that WWE remain hopeful that Giulia will be healed in time for NXT Heatwave.
Brennan has further learned that after previously reporting the belief within NXT was that Giulia would be in a title match at the event, with WWE still currently targeting an NXT Women’s Title match with Roxanne Perez for the event on July 7th. However, it was stressed to Brennan that these plans are not set in stone and could change due to Giulia’s Marigold obligations and her current injury.
Speaking of Marigold, Brennan has confirmed previous reports that Giulia will remain available to use with the promotion following her starting with NXT, and has been booked for Marigold’s Summer Destiny event on July 13th. Giulia noted on May 21st that despite her injury, she still plans to compete on July 13th. Sources in Japan we spoke to said the match with Sareee was expected, and should not impact Giulia appearing with WWE before then.
Giulia is expected to lead the next class of talent to report to the WWE Performance Center, which is also expected to include names from the recent Australia tryouts.
Regarding her presentation, it has been stressed to Brennan that Giulia was signed for ‘who she is’, and that WWE will not look to fix something that isn’t broken.
Brennan has also learned more about Giulia’s backstage visits to WWE during WrestleMania weekend, with Giulia being outgoing and polite to NXT talent and higher ups alike, having a lengthy conversation with Shawn Michaels at NXT Stand And Deliver.
In asking more about Giulia’s English skills, Brennan was also told that “the language barrier” isn’t as big of an issue as prior to Triple H taking over creative of WWE, with one source pointing out IYO Sky, Asuka, Kairi Sane and more speaking their native language on WWE programming. That being said, WWE remains impressed by Giulia’s commitment to learning the language.
NXT continues to be the show for women’s wrestling and tonight will be no different. This is a previously taped show. Please do not spoil in the comments if you already know the results.
The matches are as follows –
NXT Women’s North American Title Ladder Match Qualifier: Brinley Reece vs. Jaida Parker
NXT Women’s North American Title Ladder Match Qualifier: Fallon Henley vs. Thea Hail
Whoever makes it through the qualifying matches will join Lash Legend and Sol Ruca in the ladder match. The last two to be decided will be in two more matches next week between Michin vs. Tatum Paxley and Kelani Jordan vs. Wren Sinclair.
Check back in with Diva Dirt during show time to chat!
Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark are getting another shot at the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships. This time against the current champs Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill. They earned this opportunity in a Fatal Four Way on the May 20 episode of Raw.
The number one contender match also included the teams of Dakota Kai & Kairi Sane, Ivy Nile & Maxxine Dupri, and Katana Chance & Kayden Carter.
Chance and Carter showcased their athleticism that has proved why they deserve another shot at the title. At one point, Damage CTRL took control, but Nile and Dupri kept up. Dupri was met with an Insane Elbow by Sane. Sane found herself in a Kirifuda clutch in nostalgia of her battle with Baszler in NXT. In the end, Baszler and Stark double-teamed for the win, as Stark launched Dupri into a knee from Baszler.
A time for Baszler & Stark vs. Belair & Cargill has not been announced yet.
Ahead of their clash at King and Queen of the Ring, Liv Morgan and Becky Lynch exchanged words on Raw. Morgan called Lynch deusional and selfish. She also added to the annoying and outdated “what” chants that the crowd’s heads are so far shoved up Becky’s ass – that’s “what.”
Lynch criticizes Morgan for bringing the crowd into this before saying she came for a fight. Morgan heads to the ring but backs off at the last minute saying to save it for Saturday.
Morgan also had a backstage moment with Lyra Valkyria. Valkyria won her way to the finals of Queen of the Ring but was met by a punch by Morgan.
