On tonight’s Dynamite, Mercedes Moné and the TBS Champion Willow Nightingale will have a contract signing for their upcoming match at Double or Nothing.
Plus, Harley Cameron will go on to fight Toni Storm.

Saraya will be filming an episode of MTV Catfish as a co-host. Below is some additional information from Fightful Select.
Saraya is appearing on MTV’s Catfish.
Word emerged this week that the former Paige would be appearing on the popular MTV series that somehow still exists, Catfish. We’re told the episode doesn’t actually focus on her, but she’s planned as a co-host.
The episode is filming this week, with the last day of filming being May 15. This will cause Saraya to miss the Seattle AEW Dynamite tapings due to the scheduled.
One source joked that if the episode was actually about Saraya, it’d be a very quick episode because it’s pretty easy to verify her. They had found plenty of accounts pretending to be her, naturally.
Due to the travels for the King and Queen of the Ring premium live event, next week’s NXT episode has been taped.
Fightful Select has obtained the following spoilers:
– The reason for the double taping is due to production staff and agents making their way to Saudi Arabia next week for the King And Queen Of The Ring Premium Live Event. Several production staff in NXT not traveling will also be on call for the May 27th edition of Monday Night Raw if they are needed.
Please note that these are not complete spoilers from the taping and be cognizant of fans who do not wish to see these spoilers.
– Jaida Parker and Fallon Henley qualified for the NXT North American Women’s Title ladder match at NXT Battleground. They defeated Brinley Reece and Thea Hail respectively.
Karmen Petrovic and Natalya def. Shayna Baszler and Lola Vice in the main event.
– After the match, Lola would turn on Baszler, dropping her with a shot. Baszler would get back up and choke her out, with Ava coming out to make the match between the two official for NXT Battleground. Baszler stated that the match would be an NXT Underground match. Some fans missed the post match angle, as they had already started leaving the venue.
– Roxanne Perez’s opponent for NXT Battleground was not revealed to the crowd in a live segment on next week’s show.
It’s NXT so you know what that means?! A jam packed episode full of women’s content, bc you know NXT never disappoints! Let’s get right into it ———
Qualifying Match: Sol Ruca vs. Izzi Dame
Sol is entering with style! She does a walking handstand all the way from gorilla to the middle of the entrance ramp! Great way to show off Sol’s athleticism considering she placed #1 in the Combine. Izzi is no slouch either but this match is an absolute showcase of Sol’s athleticism. Commentary really hyping up the entire time how Ruca is made for a ladder match.
Izzi has a more ground and pound approach, keeping Sol pressed against the mat as much as she can. The match gets competitive, but Dame doesn’t get any tide turning offense in. Ruca surprises everyone though by hitting an incredible Sol Snatcher from the corner for the win!
Winner: Sol Ruca
Lash Legend and Jakara are out next for Lash’s qualifying match against Raw superstar Ivy Nile!
Qualifying Match: Ivy Nile vs. Lash Legend
This match started out with Ivy having to figure out how to overcome Lash’s size. Ivy’s not lacking in power but Lash is just really showing out here! Legend’s definitely improved in the ring. I really enjoyed watching how Ivy and Lash turned that top rope spot into a bulldog, fun chemistry between these two. Jakara slightly throw’s Nile off her game which allows Legend to hit the Big Boot for the win!
Winner: Lash Legend
So I was so wrong last week thinking Lola/Shayna vs Karmen/Nattie wasn’t happening bc that backstage altercation was a BRAWL!!! More follow up from this segment later in the show!
Carlee Bright is backstage speaking with General Manager Ava where she pleads for a match against Lola Vice. Ava grants the match unbeknownst to her, Tatum Paxley is in the background peeking through the blinds from inside the general manager’s office.
Carlee Bright vs. Lola Vice
Carlee lives up to her name, because she certainly is Bright! It’s cute and to her credit, I thought she did well in her debut! Carlee will have to figure out how to make this character her own bc it’s been done only 1 or 2 times. And Lola was a good dance partner, leading the match, definitely the right call having her win instead of going for the debuting upset.
Winner: Lola Vice
Post Match Lola beats down on Bright but Nattie & Karmen makes the save!! The challenge is made and it’s official, next week we’re finally getting Natalya & Karmen vs. Shayna & Lola!!!
Also next week:
Thea Hail vs. Fallon Henley
Brinly Reece vs. Jaida Parker
Check out some of the fallout from NXT below!
Also to note, there was shockingly no NXT Women’s Champion this week on the show, so Roxanne should make her presence felt next week in a big way. It was the Women’s North American qualifying matches that took precedent tonight. All solid bouts with the right outcome for each. Thea vs. Fallon is one to watch next week, and I’m looking forward to Brinley vs. Jaida too. Until then, sound off in the comments ya’ll and stay phonie!
The first-ever NXT Women’s North American Champion will be crowned in just a few weeks at Battleground. There will be six women competing in a ladder match for that history making moment. We now know two out of the six – Sol Ruca and Lash Legend. The qualified on the May 14 episode of NXT.
We now know four more matches will be held to determine the other four women to join Ruca and Legend.
More NXT results and news will be up later.
Tonight’s NXT starts qualifying matches to determine what six women will compete at Battleground in a ladder match to determine the inaugural NXT Women’s North American Champion.
This week we continue with the quarter-finals of the Queen of the Ring tournament! After the volume of content WWE is dishing out for the women I’ll be taking a different approach on my weekly recaps. I’ll still include some general highlights of the match.
QOTR Semi-Finals Match: Shayna Baszler vs. Iyo Sky
Match was action packed right out the gate with Shayna attacking Iyo during her entrance on the ring apron! A few of the commenters in the live thread noted how Shayna was displaying the same level of intensity that guided her reign when she stood on top of the NXT Women’s Division which was refreshing to see. Really snug match, both women took a beating here and the crowd responded in kind with a deserved “This Is Awesome” chant as the match came to a close. Iyo hits a picture perfect moonsault, advancing to the next round!
Winner: Iyo Sky
After Iyo’s victory over Natalya last week, Sky became my pick to win the whole damn tournament and this match with Shayna only further cemented that Iyo should be the next Queen of the Ring. Iyo’s star power has ascended to the same status as that of the 4HW imo.
Lilian Garcia appeared on Raw to guest announce! She sounded great!! She introduced Kofi Kingston while Samantha did her traditional Gunther intro.
Kiana James makes her Raw debut backstage interrupting a conversation between Adam Pearce & Awesome Truth. It’s a brief interaction, and I had to look up what adjudication meant but I’m really looking forward to seeing how Kiana is booked on the red brand.
Lyra Valkyria was backstage for an interview, Becky Lynch passes through early on in the segment thanking Lyra for the help last week. Valkyria is grateful for the support but before she can answer about her match vs. Zoey Stark later tonight, Liv Morgan interjects and welcomes Lyra to Raw. Morgan immediately followed up her greeting by asking if Becky was always such a bitch?! Well, surprise Liv! Cause Becky’s right behind ya! Though I wish the punch Becky threw looked a little bit better, still enjoyed the segment.
QOTR Semi-Finals Match: Lyra Valkyria vs. Zoey Stark
Important bout for both women as this is Lyra’s second match on the main roster after a strong debut defeating Dakota Kai last week. And while Zoey has been used semi-regularly on Raw, she really hasn’t had a breakout moment after her high profile pairing with Trish.
This is another fresh matchup produced by the QOTR tournament and to my delight, the crowd was very much into it! Zoey’s missile dropkick is absolutely killer and Lyra, in her second main roster match, has already established a connection with the crowd. She’s a very emotive performer, so no shocker there. Lyra got the victory here after a competitive match, so we’ll be getting Lyra vs. Iyo in the finals on the Raw side of things.
Winner: Lyra Valkyria
Interview in the ring with the winner! Genuine promo here with Lyra getting caught up in the moment.
Becky Lynch vs. Dakota Kai
I’m never going to complain about a Becky Lynch match on Raw, I just wish Dakota was getting an actual championship opportunity. Going into this match excited bc I love both performers, and I do think it delivered but you could tell both Lynch and Kai were noticeably holding back. The exchange leading up to the Dis-Arm-Her was freaken great but as soon as the match feels like it’s going to pick up, Kairi and Iyo attack for the DQ.
Winner: Becky Lynch
WWE is furthering the story of Damage Control taking over the Raw with Lyra Valkyria ultimately making the save for Becky during the beatdown. After clearing the ring, Liv sneaks in an attack against Becky to close out the segment and women’s action for the week.
Solid week from the Raw Women’s Division as we’re gearing up for the King/Queen of the Ring. I’m not sure what the inclusion of Damage Control means for the outcome of Becky vs. Liv at Clash of the Castle but I’m still rooting for Morgan to be our next World Women’s Champion.
The Queen of the Ring Semi-finals on the Raw side of the brackets has been confirmed.
After two quarterfinal matches on the May 13 episode of Raw, we will see IYO SKY take on Lyra Valkyria next Monday. The winner will go on to Saudi Arabia where she will face the bracket winner from SmackDown to crown the Queen of the Ring.
Quarterfinals Results
More results from Raw will be up later.
WWE Main Event taped as usual ahead of Raw on May 13. The show will air on May 16 on Hulu. There were two women’s matches this week.
The following were the results:
The AEW TBS Champion Willow Nightingale surprised The Wrestling Club during their lunch/recess. As the group was watching a Nightingale vs. Athena match and chanting for who they wanted to win, Willow entered and the classroom erupted!
The reaction has garnered nearly 9K likes on X from the groups founder in the past five hours.
The Wrestling Club was founded by Victor Taylor Perry and from KIPP AMP Middle School in Brooklyn, New York. You can view more of the club below as they watched Bayley’s win at WrestleMania XL.
Three matches confirmed for tonight:
Tonight’s Raw will have Becky Lynch taking on Dakota Kai. On SmackDown this past Friday, it was confirmed that Lynch would be in action but didn’t state who against.
This will be one of three women’s matches as the quarterfinals of the Queen of the Ring takes place. IYO SKY will be taking on Shayna Baszler while Zoey Stark battles Lyra Valkyria.
Check back in with Diva Dirt during air time to talk about the show live.
Shayna Baszler is one step closer to becoming Queen. She has advanced to the quarterfinals after defeating Maxxine Dupri in the last first round match at a house show Sunday night. Dupri was a last minute fill in for Zelina Vega as she was not medically cleared to compete.
Baszler will he taking on IYO SKY on the May 13 Raw. The other quarterfinal match of Zoey Stark vs. Lyra Valkyria takes place on Monday as well.
Jade Cargill has a special Mother’s Day moment at the live event with her daughter Bailey….and Bayley.
This week’s Dynamite on May 15 has scheduled a TBS Championship contract signing plus a grudge match.
Ahead of Double or Nothing which is on May 26, TBS Champion Willow Nightingale and Mercedes Moné will put pen to paper in a contract signing.
Harley Cameron is coming off her first match in AEW and although she wasn’t able to pick up the win against Mariah May, she still has Toni Storm in her sights. Storm and Cameron will have a grudge match.
Check back in with Diva Dirt on Wednesday nights to chat about the show live.
In breaking news by Raw’s General Manager Adam Pearce, Zelina Vega has suffered an injury.
The reigning Queen of the Ring was set for first round match up against Shayna Baszler at a house show this evening. She is being replaced by Maxxine Dupri. The winner between Baszler vs. Dupri will go on to face IYO SKY in the quarterfinals on the May 13 episode of Raw.
A specific injury was not confirmed.
The TBS Champion Willow Nightingale will defend her championship against STARDOM’s Tam Nakano.
The match will take place at STARDOM’s Flashing Champions event on May 18. This event will take place in Yokohama, Japan. This will be just eight days before Nightingale defends the gold against Mercedes Moné at AEW’s Double or Nothing on May 26.
Nakano is a former World of Stardom Champion and a former two time Wonder of Stardom Champion. She last wrestled stateside for ROH at Supercard of Honor in early April.
Tiffany Stratton is the last woman on the SmackDown side of the Queen of the Ring brackets to advance to the quarterfinals. She defeated Michin during a house show on Saturday night.
Stratton advancing makes her face Bianca Belair next while Jade Cargill will battle Nia Jax in their quarterfinal match.
On the Raw side we are still waiting on the house show come Sunday that will determine who last will move on to their quarterfinals. It’ll either be Shayna Baszler or the reigning queen Zelina Vega. The winner will take on IYO SKY on Monday’s Raw while Zoey Stark fights Lyra Valkyria.
Michin will try her luck next in a NXT Women’s North American qualifying match.
It was confirmed during Friday’s broadcast of SmackDown that the Women’s World Champion Becky Lynch would be in action on the May 13 episode of Raw. An opponent was not named.
Lynch in action is the third women’s match set as the quarterfinals of the Queen of the Ring tournament will take place. Zoey Stark is set to challenge Lyra Valkyria while the winner of this weekend’s match between Shayna Baszler vs. Zelina Vega will take on IYO SKY.
Lynch will be defending the Women’s World Title against Liv Morgan in two weeks at King and Queen of the Ring.
Rampage will be taking place after Collision this weekend on May 11.
On Rampage it has been confirmed that Deonna Purrazzo will be taking on Lady Frost. But before that, on Collision, Thunder Rosa will face Robyn Renegade.
Both Purrazzo and Rosa have been in a heated feud as of late, so these single matches are likely to show both women off in high standards.
Friday Night SmackDown made its first stop tonight since Backlash in Lyon, France to Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania for a new week of action. Much has happened recently: Bayley keeps her Women’s Championship for a little while longer after defeating both Tiffany Stratton and Naomi, and The Kabuki Warriors were dethroned as Women’s Tag Team Champions by Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill. Last month’s draft has also given us some new women, and with that, new opportunities like the Queen of the Ring tournament. Just as with Monday Night Raw earlier this week, it is now the turn of Team Blue’s female fighters to face off in the first round.
Naomi would make her way out for the first match of the round against Nia Jax. The Irresistible Force made sure to assert her dominance at the start, throwing Naomi around like a rag doll and running into her at the turnbuckles. The Girl with the Glow was able to pick up some momentum and even hit a suicide dive on Jax before the first break.
Back from commercial, the two exchanged some beatings with one another before Nia was able to regain control by sending Naomi out into ringside. With Nia confident she would win by count out, Naomi found her footing once again and nearly pinned Jax via split-legged moonsault. Another pin attempt via a powerbomb reversal also failed. The victor would ultimately be Jax, via a Banzai Drop to Naomi. Could she be on her way to earning a “hole” new accomplishment in her career by winning Queen of the Ring?
The current WWE Women’s Champion Bayley has an interview with Kayla Braxton where she is asked about who her favorite to win the Queen of the Ring tournament is. Her response is interrupted by Chelsea Green, who mentions her tag team partner Piper Niven is going to kick Jade Cargill out of the tournament. Niven had a brief stare down with Bayley, looking up and down at the champion and her title.
Jade vs Piper was up next. Both initially no-sold each other’s offense, but Niven quickly started to one up Cargill as Chelsea watched on. Cargill eventually reversed course and got a lick back on Niven. After a first attempt at Jaded didn’t work, her second time around proved successful and led to a victory for the new Women’s Tag Team Champion.
Her other half, Bianca Belair, would come out immediately after for the third and final televised match in SmackDown’s first round against the Poison Pixie, Candice LeRae.
The former NXT competitors fought in a brief match that was primarily dominated by the EST of WWE. Belair would get hit in the knee by Indi Hartwell, interfering from the outside, and despite LeRae’s best efforts to take advantage of her somewhat weakened state, Belair was able to pull off a KOD for the win.
Lastly, Blair Davenport was featured in a vignette introducing her arrival to SmackDown. As clips from her run in NXT were shown, Davenport said that throughout her wrestling career, she has been labeled as narcissistic, egotistical, or sadistic. Refuting these claims, she says that you have send a message in order to succeed. Her way of sending a message is looking for the fragile, delicate parts of her opponents and breaking them, showing the world that their heroes are simply pathetic. Her promo is capped off by stating that anyone can be respected, appreciated, and celebrated, but Blair Davenport will be feared.
This week’s episode also established Alicia Taylor as the show’s new ring announcer. Formerly the main voice of NXT for the past several years, Taylor handled wrestler introductions throughout the night, and will no doubt make her mark on the blue brand in similar fashion to her Raw counterpart Samantha Irvin.
Next week’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown will feature the second round of SmackDown’s Queen of the Ring tournament. Nia Jax will take on Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair will face off with the winner of the untelevised tournament match between Michin and Tiffany Stratton; that match will be taking place at a house show this weekend.
Tonight’s SmackDown has three first round QOTR matches:
WWE on A&E is about to air the second half of Season 4’s Biography: WWE Legends.
The first half of the season ran in late February through March. So far in this season, there haven’t been any episodes on women but that’s about to change. Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus will have their own upcoming episodes. The season starts back up on May 19 with Mark Henry.
The last women who were featured on this show were Paige and Charlotte Flair in their episodes of Season 3 in 2023.
Maria Kanellis is still harboring some feelings about Rachael Ellering and Leyla Hirsch not wanting her services from several months ago.
Ellering, who returned after a hiatus, cut a promo in a backstage interview where she smelled desperation in the air. Desperation to prove herself and there’s nothing more that she loves than women’s wrestling.
Kanellis appears and reminds Ellering she is likely desperate because she didn’t accept her help. She says she has tried to help women’s wrestling, even started her own promotion. But at the end of the day, women’s wrestling doesn’t really sell tickets. And whatever Ellering has, certainly isn’t going to sell anything. As Ellering excuses herself, Kanellis says someone can’t handle the truth.
Ashley D’Amboise made her in-ring return after being out of action since May of 2023. She has done some indie shows this year, but returns to ROH in a losing effort against Kiera Hogan.
Full Results – ROH May 9
Wendy Choo will be back in action for the first time in a year. She will be facing Wren Sinclair on tonight’s NXT Level Up following SmackDown on Peacock.
Choo’s last match was on Level Up on May 16 of last year where she teamed up with Kelani Jordan to defeat Elektra Lopez and Lola Vice. Her last showing on NXT was January 2023 in a win loss over Lopez.
In a recent social media post, Choo explains why she was out of action and the hard work she has been putting in to get back.
The night starts with one-half of the new Knockouts Tag Team Champion, Alisha Edwards, coming to celebrate her championship victory along with The System. Eddie Edwards praises his wife and touts her as “The Greatest TNA Knockout of All Time.”
She then presents a video package she made, which is cut short by the “Broken” Matt Hardy. The System doesn’t appreciate their celebration being cut short and start to pummel Hardy before Ryan Nemeth makes the save.
Later on in the night, Steph De Lander along with Kon appears on Alan Angels’ Sound Check.
Former Busted Open Radio producer and Gabby AF host Gabby LaSpisa is in the ring and is about to introduce her guest Ash By Elegance. That is, until George Iceman interrupts and introduces her himself.
LaSpisa wants to know what Ash By Elegance even means, and Ash expresses it as a “lifestyle brand.” LaSpisa doesn’t get it and pivots the conversation and asks about what went down at Under Siege against Havok.
She believes that Ash may be a little too angry, especially after losing her rings in Las Vegas. Xia Brookside comes out, and challenges Ash to another match, but this time with that special jewelry on the line.
To cap off the night, we get stunning visuals of what looks to be a Wellness Retreat and someone pulling up. That someone is TNA Hall of Famer Gail Kim, meeting Gisele Shaw who has been missing in action for quite some time. Kim says that the two “need to talk.”
What did you think about tonight’s TNA Impact? What could Gisele Shaw possibly be brewing? Who will come out victorious between Ash and Brookside? Let us know what you think in the comments!
