Mercedes Moné Shares Back In The Ring Training Video

0

Mercedes Moné’s return to the ring appears to be coming soon as she has posted a training video.

Moné has been out of action since her last match on May 21. In that match, she suffered an ankle injury against Willow Nightingale at NJPW STRONG Resurgence 2023. This was for the inaugural NJPW STRONG Women’s Tifle.

The finish of the match was reportedly changed with Nightingale being crowned inaugural champion due to Moné’s injury. The title now is held by Giulia.

It is unknown where and when Moné will return. She recently posted a video saying she will be wrestling in some company come 2024.

Kelani Jordan Added To Iron Survivor Challenge; Perez And Kiana James Brawl

0

Kelani Jordan is the fourth and most recent woman to punch her ticket into the Iron Survivor Challenge at the upcoming Deadline event. She joins Tiffany Stratton, Lash Legend, and Blair Davenport with one spot left.

Jordan defeated Kiana James (who was in last years Iron Survivor Challenge) on the Nov. 28 episode of NXT. Jordan had a little help with a distraction, however. James had hit her 401K on Jordan, but instead of covering her, she went for one final blow but was distracted when the ring bell was rapidly ringing. It was Roxanne Perez with karma as it was James who cost Perez her qualifying match.

James being distracted allowed Jordan to hit the split legged moonsault for the victory.

Moments later, Perez enters the women’s locker room proud of getting back James but enraged just the same. Ava spoke up and said there is still one more chance for Perez to qualify. She stated when she spoke to HBK the other week, he told her that the four women (Perez, James, Thea Hail, and Fallon Henley) who did not win their prior qualifying matches will get one more shot in a last chance match. Perez was confronted by Izzi Dame. Dame says that Perez’s last chance has gone to zero chances because this means James has a last chance also.

Dame and Perez get physical which sets all the women to try and pull them apart before James joins the fight.

The fight wouldn’t stop there either. The last minute or so of the broadcast had the fight spilled into the parking lot where James and Perez would fight with various members of security trying to stop it.

Elsewhere on this week’s NXT, Arianna Grace took on Karmen Petrovic. They showed a video promo of Petrovic before the match. Once again the ring bell came into play for this match. This time it was Joe Gacy who was under the ring who came out and stole the ring bell mid match and ran to the back.

The matched continued with Grace picking up the win. The bell didn’t ring of course until Gacy emerged with it in the crowd as he rang it rapidly as he stood smiling.

The Alpha Academy challenged Meta Four for a six-person match next week. So it will be Lash Legend, Noam Dar, and Oro Mensah taking on Maxxine Dupri, Chad Gable, and Otis.

A backstage interview with NXT Women’s Champion Lyra Valkyria took place. She talked about the upcoming Iron Survivor Challenge and how it will give her, her next opponent. Fallon Henley showed up and said if she qualifies next week it would be her to face Valkyria. Lurking in the background behind the curtains was Tatum Paxley who didn’t seem to think that was going to happen and said Lyra would just beat Fallon anyways.

Lastly, Andre Chase finally explained the scandal surrounded by Chase U. Apparently the university is in some serious debt due to gambling. And they owe some people some serious money!

NXT Discussion Post: 11.28.23

Deadline is quickly approaching on Dec. 9 and with that we need two more names in the Iron Survivor Challenge Match. So far we have Tiffany Stratton, Lash Legend, and Blair Davenport.

Tonight either Kelani Jordan or Kiana James will be added as they fight it out in a qualifying match.

Chelsea Green/Piper Niven Retain Tag Team Titles On Raw

0

Chelsea Green and Piper Niven are still your WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions after their title defense on the Nov. 27 episode of Raw. They were challenged by Tegan Nox and Natalya.

At one point in the match, Nox was hoping to have won her first gold after hitting Green sith a Molly Go Round. Unfortunately for Nox, Green kicked out. The final moments of the match had Green neutralized on the outside after Nox and Natalya suplexed her into the barricade. Once back in the ring however, Niven was ready for Nox and hit a rope assist diving cross body for the win to retain the titles.

Earlier in the night, Nia Jax took on Zoey Stark. Following a loss to Rhea Ripley at Survivor Series, Jax mocked Stark for her loss. Jax says she will become champion and she will take out the whole roster in the process. Starting with Stark.

Jax would pick up the win in this match after an Anniahilator.

AJ Lee Receives Shout Out On Raw

0

Let’s Light it Up!

Unless you have been living under a rock, everyone knows that CM Punk has returned to WWE. He did so at Survivor Series, but closed out the Nov. 27 Raw with a promo.

In the promo, he stated that people were asking how his wife was, former three-time Divas Champion, AJ Lee. It was short and sweet but he said “AJ is fabulous, and she sends her regards.”

Could we actually see AJ Lee back in WWE in some capacity? Or perhaps a Rumble appearance and/or HOF induction? What are your thoughts?

Kiana James vs. Kelani Jordan Set For Iron Survivor Challenge Qualifier

0

On the Raw broadcast, the fourth match was announced to determine the fourth competitor in the upcoming Iron Survivor Challenge at Deadline on Dec. 9.

The qualifying match will take place on Nov. 28’s episode of NXT and will see Kiana James taking on Kelani Jordan. The winner will join previous women who punched their tickets to Deadline: Tiffany Stratton, Lash Legend, and Blaie Davenport.

James was in last year’s inaugural Iron Survivor Challenge while this would be a new challenge for Jordan if she qualifies.

Check back in with Diva Dirt on Tuesday during the NXT broadcast to talk about the show live!

Tammy Sytch (Sunny) Sentenced to 17.6 Years In Prison From DUI/Manslaughter Case

0

Former WWE Diva Sunny, real name Tammy Sytch, 50, has been sentenced to 17 plus years in prison.

According to TMZ, “Sytch learned her fate inside of a Volusia County courtroom on Monday morning … three months after she pled no contest to, among other charges, one felony count of DUI causing death.”

Per Fightful, here is information about the case to be accurate –

“In March 2022, Sytch was the driver in a fatal car crash that took the life of (75 year old) Julian Lafrancis Lasseter. Sytch crashed into a stationary vehicle, and the driver, Lasseter, was later pronounced dead. She was then arrested in May 2022 and charged with DUI manslaughter, driving with a suspended or revoked license, and causing death or serious injury. Additionally, she faced seven counts of DUI causing damage to a person or property. In October 2023, Sytch was declared a danger to society by the Florida State Attorney. Sytch previously pleaded no contest, and she faced up to 25 years in prison.

Sytch’s sentencing hearing was held in Daytona Beach in Florida on November 27. There, Circuit Judge Karen A. Foxman sentenced Sytch to 17.6 years in prison. Sytch was sentenced to 10.6 years in prison for driving with a suspended license causing death, and a second sentence of seven years for DUI manslaughter following that. Then, Sytch will have eight years of probation.

Foxman stated that Sytch was found guilty of the misdemeanors, and she was sentenced to 364 days, concurrent with the other counts in the case, and given credit for 364 days already served.

As for the count of driving with a suspended license causing death or serious bodily injury, Foxman noted that Sytch had no valid license, and she chose to drive. Foxman then sentenced Sytch to 10.6625 years in the Department of Corrections, with credit for 566 days served.

Foxman then stated that, for the count of DUI manslaughter in the second degree, Sytch would be sentenced consecutively, so she would serve seven years following the completion of her first sentence. Sytch will then have eight years of probation; the four-year minimum of the term is the minimum mandatory sentence.

For her probation, Sytch will have the standard terms, and she must have a substance abuse evaluation with every follow-up treatment. She must also take an alcohol safety education course, serve 50 hours of community service, and pay a $10,000 fine. Sytch’s driver’s license will be permanently revoked.

Sytch has 30 days to appeal the sentencing, and it must be submitted in writing.

Sytch had been arrested at least six previous times due to impaired driving.

With WWE not having a December premium live event, who will be Ripley’s next opponent?

Next we have a tag team championship match scheduled for tonight. Winning a number one contenders spot last week, Tegan Nox and Natalya will challenge the champions Chelsea Green and Piper Niven.

Triple H On A Jade Cargill Debut: “I’m In No Rush”

0

WWE picked up a mega star when they signed Jade Cargill.

The former and inaugural AEW TBS Champion came over to WWE at the end of September. Since then, she has made several appearances on all three brands. She has had face-to-face interactions with top names such as Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch. Her last appearance was in NXT where she watched the NXT Women’s Championship match between Becky Lynch and Lyra Valkyria.

So when will Cargill make her in-ring debut and become official with the roster? On the Survivor Series press conference, Triple H was asked on the status of Cargill.

“I have no less belief in her now than I did then. It’s interesting, when she came in, we talked about her development and where she would land, but what the development was. I want to make sure that no matter what is thrown at Jade Cargill that she is ready. At no fault of her own, I think she was limited in that. The idea is, we exposed her, we made be seen, people are understanding, they’re waiting, and they’re excited for her to come. When she does it’s going to be massive. We’re making sure that when she ready, I don’t want a pitch that gets thrown at her that she’s never seen before. I want, no matter what that pitch is, she’s going crack that thing out of the park. That’s the presence she has and the star she is. You’ve yet to see her do anything in WWE and I can probably name five or ten people where you’re like, ‘that’s a dream match,’ without her doing a thing. I’m in no rush. When she says, ‘I’m ready,’ I’m ready.”

Julia Hart Wins First TBS Title Defense On Collision

Julia Hart has gotten her first TBS Championship defense out of the way and walked out victorious.

On the Nov. 25 episode of AEW Collision, Hart faced Lady Frost. Frost had been out of action due to personal reasons since the October 19 episode of ROH. Frost mostly appears for ROH, but this would be her second showing on Collision.

The match was a House Rules match which was developed by the House of Black stable. The rules generally include a 20 second count out, no rope breaks, and no disqualifications. However, Frost wanted no count outs at all.

Hart would win the match with Hartless submission as Frost tapped out.

Team EST Conquers WarGames; Rhea Ripley Retains

For the second year in a row, Becky Lynch secured the victory for her team inside of WarGames. Bianca Belair, Charlotte Flair, Shotzi and Lynch stood tall to end the match. Lynch and Flair even hugged it out and mended their friendship during the match.

Highlights of the match included a call back to IYO SKY’s trash can cross body from the top of the cage. We also got to see Charlotte Flair hit a moonsault from the top as well.

Bayley worked very well as the MVP match saving it on many occasions for the rest of Damage CTRL. In the end though, Bayley would be the one put on a table after a KOD by Belair. Lynch would hit the leg drop from the top of the ring post to get the pin and the victory for her team.

In the Survivor Series post show press conference the relationship between Flair and Lynch seems to be mended.

Rhea Ripley also successfully defended her Women’s World Championship against Zoey Stark. The match had some hard hitting moments and Stark was hungry for the title. However, she eventually got caught in the Riptide and that was that. Mami is still on top.

And CM Punk is back which means that AJ Lee will be in the Rumble. Good-bye.

We have made it to Survivor Series!

Two matches are set for tonight.

Women’s World Title – Rhea Ripley (c) vs. Zoey Stark

WarGames Match – Bianca Belair vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Becky Lynch vs. Shotzi vs. Damage CTRL

Predictions from Diva Dirt is here.

Enjoy.

2023 Survivor Series WarGames Predictions

0

Tonight is WWE’s Survivor Series WarGames event. This will be the second year that the WarGames theme is set for the main roster. There are two women’s matches on the card. One match is the women’s WarGames and the other is for the Women’s World Championship. Below you will see Diva Dirt’s predictions.

Women’s World Championship

Rhea Ripley (c) vs. Zoey Stark

WarGames Match

Bianca Belair, Shotzi, Charlotte Flair, and Becky Lynch vs. Damage CTRL (Asuka, Bayley, IYO SKY, Kairi Sane)

Predictions

Women’s World Championship

NICK: I have enjoyed this build up. Could it have been a bit more? Sure. But they have let Zoey shine some and show that she is a true contender. With that being said, it doesn’t seem as much for her to dethrone Ripley. But I expect one heck of a match if given time.

WINNER: Rhea Ripley

COLBY: While the SmackDown women’s division and the rest of The Judgment Day will occupy WarGames this year, Rhea Ripley will have another title defense on Saturday night. Zoey Stark has emerged as her new number one contender, proving that her rookie year on the main roster has been successful regardless of the outcome. I don’t doubt that Ripley will retain, but I do think Stark will put forth a valiant effort and hopefully a banger of a match in between the night’s cage matches.

WINNER: Rhea Ripley

WarGames

NICK: This match could go either way, but Damage CTRL should win it. I get they have the whole Bayley being kicked out aspect, but that can last a bit longer as it is entertaining and doing it here will just be a weird thing if Damage CTRL loses. But then wr have the will they or won’t they coexist between Becky and Charlotte. Which in a way feels fresh after years of them not interacting. This would be an easy way for them to lose the match. I am all for more of a feud between them too moving forward also. It would keep Becky and Charlotte out of the title picture for a bit.

WINNERS: Damage CTRL

COLBY: I haven’t been the biggest fan of the build as it feels too similar to last year’s in terms of Belair battling Damage CTRL with Becky Lynch coming in as the last player. Nevertheless, I am excited for Shotzi and Charlotte to step into their first main roster WarGames match. It’s also great to see Kairi Sane back in the fold as we also wonder what’s to come for Bayley’s future in the faction she started. While we wait to see how things play out, I will side with Damage CTRL here because they came up short last year and it would be wrong for them to lose again after strengthening their squad.

WINNERS: Damage CTRL

Come back to Diva Dirt during the show to talk about it live!

Damage CTRL Holds The Power Heading Into Survivor Series

Damage CTRL has the power, they have the rage…

On the Nov. 24 go-home episode of SmackDown for Survivor Series Damage CTRL looks stronger than ever as they (Bayley & Asuka) defeated Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair in the main event.

Much like last week, the WarGames participants opened and closed SmackDown this week. But unlike last week, Bayley went at it alone as she went out to confront her WarGames opponents. She stirred the pot between Lynch and Flair which tested their fallout of a friendship over the past couple of years. This led to the main event match being booked.

Moments later, Bayley (who was not expecting herself to be in the match tonight) approached Damage CTRL. Once again the other members of the stable seemed off about Bayley’s presence. IYO SKY felt that Bayley should be in the match and they end up with Asuka being her partner. BESTIES!

Throughout the show we saw tension build between Lynch and Flair. We also saw Belair try to diffuse the situation with Lynch while Shotzi took her time with Flair. When the main event match came, Lynch and Flair both agreed they were “okay.”

The final moments of the match wouldn’t provide any solace to Belair and Shoti who tried to have Flair and Lynch get along all night. Bayley went for the Rose Plant but Lynch countered with a Belly to Back Suplex. At the same time, Flair and Asuka entered the ring. Lynch landed a ManHandle Slam on Bayley, but Flair speared Asuka right into Lynch as she was making the pin. Bayley knocked Lynch into Flair and then rolled Lynch up for the three count.

Post match it seemed Lynch was the most upset about the situation as she rolled out of the ring and went up the ramp leaving her other three WarGames team members in the ring.

We still don’t know who will get the advantage in the WarGames match but Damage CTRL getting this big win shifts the momentum and power. We will find out who was voted to get the advantage on the Survivor Series Kick Off show.

Diva Dirt will have our predictions up and the Discussion Post for the show to talk about it live!

SmackDown Discussion Post: 11.24.23

Tonight’s SmackDown is the last show before tomorrow’s Survivor Series. The eight women in the upcoming WarGames match brawled on this week’s Raw. What final moments will we get to see tonight?

Talk below.

Skye Blue Interrupts Toni Storm’s Speech On AEW Dynamite

“Timeless” Toni Storm graced us with her presence on November 22 and she delivered an acceptance speech following her third AEW Women’s World title win at Full Gear. Mariah May was present to hand Storm the gold, however the speech did not end as planned.

Before Storm could finish, Skye Blue’s music hit and she marched down to the ring for her scheduled bout against Ruby Soho and Anna Jay. Storm looked shocked as Blue walked past her.

Blue held her own against both opponents in the beginning until Angelo Parker grabbed her foot from the apron. Anna was then able to take control despite needing to get Parker’s attention off of Soho.

After the break, Saraya had to run off Menard from grabbing at Soho’s foot. Back inside, Blue hit a high knee on Soho and pump kicked her out but Parker caught her in a romantic way. Saraya had to break it up when Blue dropped Jay with a neckbreaker. Blue scored the pinfall win on Jay before Soho could break the cover.

Saraya yelled at Soho after the bout and the two continued arguing until they returned to the back.

Rampage and Collision will air live back-to-back again on Saturday, however no women’s matches have been officially announced.

What did you think of this week’s Dynamite? Sound off below!

Three Way Confirmed For Nov. 22 Dynamite

A three way bout has been confirmed for tonight’s AEW Dynamite. Ruby Soho, Skye Blue, and Anna Jay will face off.

We also have two new champions in the women’s division. Julia Hart dethroned Kris Statlander for the TBS Championship and Toni Storm defeated Hikaru Shida to became a three-time AEW Women’s World Champion. This took place last weekend at Full Gear.

Storm will have an acceptance speech tonight.

Blair Davenport Advances To Iron Survivor Match; Lyra Valkyria Retains

0

Blair Davenport becomes the third woman out of five to qualify for the Iron Survivor Challenge which takes place at Deadline on Dec. 9. She qualified after defeating Thea Hail on the Nov. 21 episode of NXT.

In the final moments of the match, Hail had Davenport right where she wanted her and possible could have scored the win. However, she was distracted by the Chase U section which cause Davenport to have the time to get the knees up. Davenport drove a knee into the side of Hail’s head to get the pinfall.

Davenport joins Tiffany Stratton and Lash Legend as the match continues to shape up.

Speaking of Stratton she shares some words with Josh Briggs later in the show. Briggs qualified for the men’s Iron Survivor Challenge to which Stratton asked him doesn’t it feel good to be a winner. Fallon Henley and Brooks Jensen approached Briggs as Stratton left asking what that was about.

In the main event, Xia Li got her shot at the NXT Women’s Championship against Lyra Valkyria. The match was supposed to happen earlier in the night, but Li jumped Valkyria while she was making her entrance.

Another strong outing for Li, but Valkyria picks up the win with what looks like a new finisher move.

Arianna Grace comes after Karmen Petrovic after previously being attacked from behind. She also says the fans need to shower, with soap.

NXT Discussion Post: 11.21.23

Tonight’s NXT will not be live as it was pre-taped last week.

On the card is two women’s matches confirmed. First, Xia Li gets her NXT Women’s Championship match as she challenges Lyra Valkyria. Second, the Iron Survivor Challenge match gets its third participant as Thea Hail takes on Blair Davenport. The winner will join Tiffany Stratton and Lash Legend at Deadline.

Nikki Garcia Responds To Name Being Left Out Of ‘Barmageddon’ Plug On Raw

0

With WWE Raw and NXT being aired on the USA Network, it has been advertising the new season of Barmageddon. A game show that is hosted by Carson Daly, Blake Shelton, and Nikki Garcia (Bella).

The advertisements made lately on Raw have specifically been leaving Nikki’s name out of the hosting duties. They have gone so far in naming Shelton as the host and purposefully not showing Nikki in the previews.

While speaking with NBC Chicago, Nikki was asked about her reaction to that.

It’s sad. Like, there’s obviously a lot of things I could say about that. I think more than anything, it’s disappointing,” she said. “I worked there for 16 years, and I helped pave the way for them. Not only that they’ve always been family to me, and no matter what, walking away, for me, it wasn’t malicious. I’m at a point in my life. I wanted to do things without hearing the word ‘no,’ and it was just strictly business. Maybe there were some personal things that had happened over the years that also pushed me towards that, but I think more than anything, it’s disappointing because I don’t see it happen with the men.

“For some reason with the women who are outspoken and we’ve seen this with the women in the past, they just want to ban us,” she adds. “I think it’s sad because we all look at it as family and so, ‘Okay, they don’t want to say my name, that’s fine. Barmageddon got a shout-out and so did Blake Shelton, so that makes me happy. So many people at WWE will always be family to me, and I communicate with so many of them. The WWE Universe will always be family to me, as well as my Bella Army. So I’m just so appreciative for all of you and all of us that can still have the memories.” (Fightful)

Both Nikki and her sister Brie have continued with other adventures outside the ring, but state they would like another run.

0

According to a report by PWInsider, it is believed that indie star Madi Wrenkowski has signed with WWE.

The report states:
