IMPACT is heading across the pond for their Turning Point event as they will be in Newcastle at the end of the month for the UK Invasion tour. It will air on Nov. 3 and we will see Jordynne Grace taking on Dani Luna. Luna hails from Croydon, South London UK and formerly performed under WWE’s NXT UK brand.
It was previously reported that RevPro Undisputed British Women’s Champion Alex Windsor will be in action. An opponent for her has yet to be named.
However, before we get to Turning Point we have Bound for Glory this weekend on Oct. 21. At that event Trinity will defend the Knockouts World Title against Mickie James while MK Ultra puts their tag gold up against Tasha Steelz and Deonna Purrazzo.
On this week’s IMPACT to air on Oct. 19, Trinit and James will team up against Gisele Shaw and Savannah Evans.
AEW couple Julia Hart and Lee Johnson have officially tied the knot on Friday, Oct. 13. The couple shared many photos from their wonderful day on their social media. They couple announced their engagement a year ago last October.
Hart recently received a huge push towards the TBS Championship before requesting time off to get married. She was undefeated in the year until she faced Kris Statlander for the gold in a losing effort. Ironically her last loss, which was in 2022, was against Statlander.
Lyra Valkyria had one more challenge before she meets Becky Lynch on night one of Halloween Havoc next week. She faced Tegan Nox on the Oct. 17 episode of NXT.
Nox had originally asked Valkyria if she could hold off on her championship match because she wanted her own rematch against The Man. Valkyria wasn’t having it and proved that in her match against Nox. Nox had Natalya at ringside for support.
Natalya’s support wasn’t enough however, because the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Chelsea Green and Piper Niven showed up to cause a distraction and looking for a fight. Nox thought about going after them with Natalya but ran back into the ring. This is when Valkyria sealed the deal and pinned her.
Post-match, Green/Niven and Natalya/Nox fight to the back as Valkyria cuts an in ring promo. Valkyria talks about her history with Lynch. She adds how she wanted to become the first Irish woman to win the NXT Women’s Title but it was Lynch that took that away from her. So at Halloween Havoc, Valkyria intends on taking the title from Lynch.
Lynch responds on the big screen. She says that Valkyria is really, really good, but she is better. Lynch says that her oppoment can say this is a dream match but she needs to despise her in that ring. Lynch welcomes Valkyria to the big time.
At the end of the show, Valkyria was seen backstage watching the end of the main event. She pulls a photo of her and Becky off the locker and says in one week the title will be hers. As she walks away, Jade Cargill appears on the TV and points at her watch to close the show.
The Oct. 17 episode of NXT officially moved us forward in the NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament.
After two more first round matches, we know that Arianna Grace will face Kelani Jordan while Karmen Petrovic will do battle with Lola Vice. Both Grace and Petrovic advanced on this week’s show. This was also Petrovic’s NXT debut match (she has performed on NXT Level Up).
Petrovic’s opponent was another debut in that of Jaida Parker.
The final moments of the match had Petrovic deliver a roundhouse kick to the back followed up with a Code of Silence type submission. Parker tapped out. Petrovic’s mother was in the audience celebrating her win.
The other first round match was between Arianna Grace and the debuting Brinley Reece. Reece took the spot of Jakara Jackson who was reported to not be medically cleared. Grace as her new Miss. NXT gimmick attempted to take her “bye” because of Jackson being out but Reece cut off that idea.
The final moments of this match had Reece lifting Grace onto her shoulders but Grace raked the eyes without the official seeing it. Grace then countered and pinned Reece to advance.
Both semi-final matches will be taking place next week on night one of Halloween Havoc hosted by Shotzi and Scarlett.
Halloween Havoc Night One – Oct. 24
• Kelani Jordan vs. Arianna Grace – Breakout Tournament Semi-Finals
• Karmen Petrovic vs. Lola Vice – Breakout Tournament Semi-Finals
• Becky Lynch (c) vs. Lyra Valkyria – NXT Women’s Title
• Gigi Dolin vs. Blair Davenport – Lights Out Match
• Roxanne Perez vs. Kiana James – Devil’s Playground Match
Halloween Havoc is two nights this year and so far night one is full of women’s matches! It will take place next week on Oct. 24. The second night will be on Halloween, Oct. 31.
The “Spin the Wheel, Make the Deal” wheel is back and we had Gigi Dolin and Roxanne Perez use it to add a stipulation to their respective matches.
First, early on the Oct. 17 episode of NXT, a promo aired featuring Blair Davenport. She stated that Dolin’s win against her was lucky and she challenged her at Halloween Havoc.
Later in the show, we saw Dolin backstage who was asked what her answer to the challenge was. Dolin agreed to it but found the wheel. She said Shotzi and Scarlett wouldn’t mind if she used it. Her spin landed on a Lights Out match and we have one stipulation match booked!
The second one came about after Shotzi made her return to an NXT ring. After coming to the aid of Roxanne Perez last week, Shotzi faced Kiana James this week. In the final moments of this match, Perez appeared and distracted James by pulling a brick out of her infamous bag. Shotzi got the pin and the victory.
Moments later, Perez and Shotzi were walking backstage. Shotzi said that Perez is definitely different than she was last year when they teamed together. Shotzi says Perez is sure of herself and ballsy. Perez added that she doesn’t know why James is so obsessed with her, but decided to spin the wheel to add a stipulation of her own. This landed on a Devil’s Playground Match.
Tonight’s NXT will serve the following just one week shy of night one of Halloween Havoc:
Before we get to Halloween Havoc next week, Lyra Valkyria will take on Tegan Nox tonight. Valkyria faces Becky Lynch for the NXT Women’s Title next week.
The Women’s Breakout Tourney continues – Kelani Jordan has already advanced and so has Lola Vice. It appears tonight we are getting Karmen Petrovic taking on Jaida Parker. Both making their NXT debuts. Petrovic has appeared on Level Up.
The NXT Women’s Champion Becky Lynch will also be in attendance.
For a further preview for tonight’s show you can click here.
Natalya is 16 years into her time with WWE and 23 years in-ring experience total. She sat down recently with Chris Van Vliet where she talked about her career.
“Because my career wasn’t picture perfect and because it didn’t work out exactly how I wanted it to in my head, it has driven me so much….It’s like this for everybody. I want to be a champion. I want to have this, I want to have that. And for me because it didn’t always work out perfect, it’s left me really, really hungry. Because I feel like the second you get comfortable and the second that you get complacent, and the second you stop fighting, is when it’s over.”
Natalya also goes on on say she still wants to be champion. When asked if she is still hungry to become champ she says –
“Yes, of course. And I am hungry to do it all
But I am also grateful that I haven’t had it all handed to me because theirs a danger in that. I always feel like the ones deprived or that didn’t get everything in the long run really succeeded.”
Here’s your preview for the Oct. 17 episode if NXT.
Last week, Tegan Nox came to NXT after a hard loss to Becky Lynch the night before on Raw. She confronted the number one contender Lyra Valkyria and asked her to step aside because she wants a rematch against Lynch for the NXT Women’s Championship. Valkyria laughed at that idea because Nox already had her shot. From this the two will go one-on-one tonight.
The Women’s Breakout Tournament is set to continue. It isn’t known what match will take place tonight but there are two first round matches left. Karmen Petrovic vs. the debuting Jaida Parker and Arianna Grace vs. the debuting Brinley Reece. Jakara Jackson was in Reece’s spot but is now not medically cleared. Kelani Jordan and Lola Vice have already advanced to the semi finals.
Lastly, The Man Becky Lynch will be present as the NXT Women’s Champion is having contenders line up on both NXT and Raw. What will happen with The Man tonight?
Check back in with Diva Dirt at start time to talk about NXT live!
Jade Cargill has officially made it to Raw after visiting a premium live event, NXT, and SmackDown. This time she came face-to-face with The Man herself.
Before her encounter with Cargill, in a backstage segment Indi Hartwell with Candice LeRae by her side reminded Lynch once again that she never officially lost the NXT Women’s Title. Lynch agreeing, said she would find General Manager Adam Pearce to make it official. As Lynch walked away she ran into Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley as the two shared a stare down. This would not be the last face to face encounter for Lynch of the night.
Later on, Lynch entered Pearce’s office to make the match with Hartwell official. He agreed to it and said he would just have to clear it with Shawn Michaels. Lynch will be facing Hartwel next Monday and then Lyra Valkyria next Tuesday. One woman that Lynch may have overlooked is Xia Li who asked for a match last week.
Li appeared in Pearce’s office asking what about Xia? She said you had Tegan, and now Indi? Lynch said she was game for Li as well but Li said she will face her on her own time. After Li makes her exit, Cargill shows up.
Cargill points to the NXT Women’s Title belt and says “neat title.” Lynch quickly responds “get in line,” before exiting. Cargill seems baffled but Pearce says she can act like that when she is The Man. Pearce welcomes Cargill to Raw and suggests she gets red in her wardrobe over blue.
Now for some in-ring action. The first women’s match of the night had Piper Niven taking on Natalya. In a backstage segment prior to the match, we had Chelsea Green egging on the fight between Niven and Natalya. Also part of the segment were Kayden Carter, Katana Chance, and Nikki Cross who could be seen in the background. Tegan Nox was also part of it who has formed this new friendship with Natalya.
The match had Niven pick up the win as she and Green would continue to beat down the veteran. Nox made the post match save.
The second match was ruled a disqualification between Shayna Baszler and Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley in a non-title bout. More on that can be read here.
Maxxine Dupri was in a backstage segment with Alpha Academy and Akira Tozawa training.
Rhea Ripley has her work cut out for her on Nov. 4 when she defends the World Women’s Championship at Crown Jewel. The event will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia with a start time of 1 PM ET.
Ripley has found herself in a Fatal Five Way with four other women ripping each other apart trying to get to the top. She will be facing Nia Jax, Raquel Rodriguez, Shayna Baszler, and Zoey Stark. Stark returned on the Oct. 16 episode of Raw to seek revenge against Jax who took her out a few weeks ago.
Stark found herself in the ring as the match between Ripley and Baszler was taking place. The match was ruled a disqualification after Stark went after Ripley. Rodriguez and Jax were also part of the brawl at ringside.
Later on, Ripley confronted Raw General Manager Adam Pearce. Pearce told her that they would start doing things differently, and he booked the Fatal Five-way for Crown Jewel.
Who you got walking out of Crown Jewel as champion?
Trish Adora, who is often a talent for ROH and also on the indie scene, has had a huge title reign come to an end. Adora lost the Pan-Afrikan World Diaspora Wrestling Championship on Oct. 15 in a match against Suge D. This ended the inaugural title holders reign at 1,338 days. The match took place for the F1ght Club Pro Wrestling promotion where the title has its home.
Adora is now moving on to her next challenger who is a legend herself – Aja Kong. For a brand new promotion, ASÉ, Adora vs. Kong will main event.
WWE has announced on their NXT account that Jakara Jackson is no longer able to compete in the NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament. She is not medically cleared. No status of her injury or length of time out was provided.
Brinley Reece will be taking her place in the Breakout Tournament and making her WWE/NXT television debut. Brinley is the new ring name for Breanna Ruggerio. She was signed with WWE in the same class as Izzi Dame, Kelani Jordan, Kiyah Saint, and Karmen Petrovic.
Reece recently had a house show match over the weekend where faced Arianna Grace in a losing effort.
She will be taking on Grace in the first round of the tournament. The winner of that will take on Kelani Jordan who advanced in her match against Izzi Dame.
Here’s your preview for the Oct. 16 episode if Monday Night Raw.
Last week had nearly every active woman from the Raw roster on screen in some capacity. From this, two matches have been confirmed for this weeks show.
First, three women continue to show interest for the Women’s World Championship as the four continue to brawl in back-to-back weeks. Shayna Baszler, Nia Jax, and Raquel Rodriguez all have current issues with the champ Rhea Ripley. After last week, Ripley will be facing Shayna Baszler one on one, tonight!
Last week after Tegan Nox’s defeat, Chelsea Green confronted Natalya telling her to stay out of her business. Natalya came out to support Nox the week before against Green. Natalya stepped back at Green which caused Piper Niven to get involve and challenge her for this week.
Lastly, we know that Becky Lynch will be facing Lyra Valkyria at Halloween Havoc Night One. However, Nox still wants a rematch and Xia Li stepped up last week. What more will we hear from Li tonight?
If you want to chat about tonight’s Raw live, check back in at the shows start time and discuss it with other Diva Dirt readers!
ROH has completed its most recent set of TV tapings that took place on Oct. 14. They will air on Oct. 19 and the spoilers from the women’s matches are below via PWInsider.
The list of names are growing who are excited to see Jade Cargill making her arrival in WWE. So far, Cargill has appeared at Fastlane, NXT, and most recently coming face-to-face with Charlotte Flair on SmackDown. But what about Raw?
The Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley who along with the rest of the Judgment Day have made their home on Raw, recently spoke about Cargill’s arrival. It is unknown at this time which brand Cargill will make her home on, but Ripley embraces the former AEW TBS Champion joining Raw.
While speaking with Sporting News Australia,
“I’m very excited to see what she (Jade Cargill) brings to WWE. I really am. Like you said, she’s a big name and a lot of people are watching and waiting for her debut. We don’t know which brand she’s gonna be on yet. It could be Raw, it could be SmackDown, it could be NXT. No one really knows exactly what’s going on. If it is Raw, that’s my show. Mami runs Raw. The Judgment Day, we run Raw so, if Jade wants to come to my brand, then I would love to step in the ring with her and show her exactly why mami’s always on top. Because I have watched bits and pieces of her from her time in the other brand, in the other company and she is fantastic and she believes in herself and she is a star, she believes she’s a star which is always the most dangerous thing. When someone believes in themselves, they are very hard to stop. But, I’m also mami (Ripley laughed). So, I’m waiting for that day that I do get to step in the ring with her. I think it’s gonna be a very exciting match and just to have someone that’s so physically impressive across the ring from me, it excites me. I love a good challenge and I’m waiting for that day,” says Ripley.
Ripley isn’t the only woman who recently spoke on Cargill’s debut. Bianca Belair had also chimed in explaining how Cargill’s appearance will help out culture and representation. While speaking with Cultaholic, Belair said –
“It’s always been a huge goal and mission of mine to bring myself and my culture and representation to WWE. And it’s only going to get bigger with Jade coming in the picture. There’s so many amazing possibilities that can come out of it, singles matches, tag matches. Going from being one of the first Black females to main event WrestleMania and now having Jade come in, it’s just showing how much WWE is evolving and continues to evolve,” says Belair.
Belair is currently taking time off and recently stated she hopes to return “soon.”
NXT had its live shows over the weekend. On Oct. 13 it was in Largo, Fla. and Oct. 14 was in Winter Haven, Fla. Below you will see the results courtesy of Cagematch.
Newcomer Kiyah Saint had her second televised match as she faced Ivy Nile in a losing effort on the Oct. 13 episode of NXT Level Up. Nile won via submission.
Saint’s first match was in August in a loss against Kiana James. She signed her WWE contract as part of the fall class of 2022. Others from her class recently featured are Kelani Jordan, Karmen Petrovic, and Izzi Dame.
Janai Kai was crowned the new MLW Women’s Featherweight Champion at their Slaughterhouse event on Oct. 14. She dethroned Delmi Exo who held the gold since April 6. Exo tapped out to Kai.
Prior to the event, Exo’s opponent was simply known as the Phantom Opponent. Kai was confirmed as the challenger right before the match by Salina de la Renta. Kai was originally set to face B3CCA.
A vignette aired showing the TJPW’s Miyu Yamishita was coming soon to MLW. A date was not confirmed.
Recently it was confirmed that the Notorious Mimi (NXT’s Sloane Jacobs) signed with MLW. Her first match will be taped on today’s MLW Fusion.
Kris Statlander will be defending her TBS Championship against Skye Blue on the Oct. 14 episode of AEW Collision.
Skye Blue is coming off of a victory against Emi Sakura on the Oct. 13 episode of AEW Rampage after delivering a Code Blue.
Since Statlander defeated Jade Cargill in May at Double or Nothing, she has gone on to defend against names such as Britt Baker, Taya Valkyrie, Mercedes Martinez, Anna Jay, Penelope Ford, Emi Sakura, Lady Frost, and most recently Julia Hart. So far she has racked up 13 successful defenses. Can Skye Blue be the one to end Statlander’s reign?
As for Sakura, she posted on her social media she was able to reconnect with her first wrestling teacher who lives in Kansas. He was finally able to see her wrestle after 27 years.
Jade Cargill and Charlotte Flair have come face-to-face on this week’s SmackDown.
Flair had just finished up speaking with the new SmackDown GM Nick Aldis when she turned right around to Cargill. Triple H attempted to introduce Flair to Cargill but she interrupted and said, “Jade, oh I know. Nice to meet you.” Cargill responded with “it’s my pleasure” as Flair ended it with an “oh, it will be.”
On the Oct. 13 episode of SmackDown, Bayley picked up a win against Zelina Vega. Post match, Damage CTRL attacked Vega until Charlotte Flair came down to make the save.
Later on, WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Chelsea Green and Piper Niven approached new SmackDown GM Nick Aldis and requested new tag title belts. Flair interrupted and Aldis agreed she would have won the WWE Women’s Title if Bayley hadn’t distracted the referee at Fastlane. So as a result, Aldis granted Flair a title match against SKY next week.
There’s nothing really advertised for the women tonight and by the looks of all of the men advertised that will likely take up most of the show.
Jade Cargill will likely be making an appearance much like her previous two.
IYO SKY retained her title in the Triple Threat at Fastlane. She pinned Charlotte Flair who had Asuka tapping out that the referee did not see thanks to Bayley’s distraction.
For those of you who missed it, back in April IMPACT Knockout Gisele Shawshared her horrible experience at WrestleCon. She took to social media to explain what took place and how she was verbally attacked by Rick Steiner in regards to her transgender identity.
Shaw recently spoke with Cultaholic and stated that although the incident was unfortunate she appreciates those that supported her.
“It is very unfortunate that that incident happened, especially that they are certain people that I watched growing up and that I looked up to growing up. It’s just unfortunate that it did happen. I don’t know what the motive was, but all I can say is that I’m just so grateful for the people that supported me and have been there for me when I went through that, because that was really rough for me personally. I didn’t want to get out of bed because of what happened, there’s been so many people that have supported me and said, hey, no, you’re not sleeping, you need to get out. Things like that happen unfortunately still. We’ve come so far as a community, but I feel like there’s still so much work to do so all we got to do is keep pushing forward and make sure we support in and out of wrestling.” (Fightful)
Shaw will be in action on Oct. 19 when she teams with Savannah Evans to take on Mickie James and the IMPACT Knockouts World Champion Trinity.
The World of Stardom Champion Tam Nakano has been sidelined due to a knee injury. According to the We Are Stardom account, Nakano will be missing this weekend’s events and her match will be forfeited.
Nakano is just one of several in STARDOM currently out with injury. In late September, Utami Hayashishita was sidelined from events due to a cervical hernia. Also last month, Starlight Kid suffered an ankle injury and is out for now.
AZM has also been pulled from this weekend’s event. She is showing signs of injury and is being pulled for precautionary measures.
This week’s IMPACT Wrestling served as another preview for what’s to come at Bound For Glory on October 21.
Jordynne Grace had the opportunity to compete against four men with Call Your Shot implications on the line. Grace found herself on the receiving end of offense from the brief alliance of Dirty Dango and Champagne Singh. Grace did pull out the Juggernaut Jackhammer on Singh at one point, but it wasn’t enough. In the end, Dango pinned Jake Something to earn the #20 entry spot.
After that, Tasha Steelz, accompanied by Deonna Purrazzo, battled Courtney Rush of The Death Dollz. Rush controlled the match early on until Steelz pulled out Three Amigos. Steelz then twerked in Jessicka’s face to torment.
Rush attempted to tag out, seemingly forgetting that Jessicka could not help her. Rush eventually trapped Steelz in a sharpshooter, but Steelz crawled out and hit a codebreaker to separate. In the end, Steelz connected with a cutter for the win.
We also heard from KiLynn King backstage who confessed to Gia Miller and Santino Marella that she was actually the one who attacked Taylor Wilde, not Jody Threat. King said she dropped the dead weight after they lost the tag team gold. “Long live the King.”
