*Please note that this article contains spoilers for tonight’s ROH*
ROH’s latest episode airs today on HonorClub and several women’s matches took place. Two of the women who were in action were Lady Frost and Billie Starkz. It has been reported earlier this week that these two women have “quietly” signed with AEW. They are primarily used on the ROH roster.
It’s spooky season and the IMPACT Knockouts are getting festive. So far we see photos from KiLynn King, Killer Kelly, and Jade Chung. You can view them at the link below.
It also states every Tuesday new photos will be posted.
Oct. 10 was National Mental Health Day and we have Jordynne Grace, Courtney Rush, and Jessicka speaking up and sending the message.
Mayu Iwatani has found out when her next title defense is for the IWGP Women’s Championship. Iwatani won this gold back in April where she defeated Mercedes Moné.
Since winning this championship, Iwatani has only defended it once so far against Utami Hayashishita in August. Her next defense is at NJPW’s Lonestar Shootout on Nov. 10.
On the Oct. 10 episode of NXT, Asuka took a trip to the brand and took on Roxanne Perez. This match was set up by Kiana James.
The match took place in the first 30-minutes of the show so it was luckily commercial free. Shotzi made a surprise appearance on commentary. She announced that she and Scarlett will be hosting Halloween Havoc. That event will be a two night event this year on both Oct. 24 and Oct. 31.
The final moments of the match had Asuka hitting Perez with several roundhouse kicks and punches before landing one final kick to the sixe of her head. Asuka got the three count and then showed respect to Perez before leaving the ring. This win by Asuka makes her still undefeated in NXT.
Kiana James emerged and attempted to jump Perez from behind but Shotzi entered and took her out. Shotzi then helped Perez up to end the segment.
Later on in the show, there was a meet and greet of sorts. James was with Asuka backstage and gave her thanks for showing up and defeating Perez.
Blair Davenport arrived and spoke some Japanese with Asuka. After she left there was Kelani Jordan who shook the hand of the Empress and was bashful so she just ran away. Fallon Henley attempted to introduce hersf but was cut off by Tiffany Stratton. This all led to Asuka retreating to her dressing room. Henley and Stratton have words which may lead to a match.
A second women’s match took place and it was a first round match for the Women’s Breakout Tournament. It was Lola Vice picking up the win over Dani Palmer. This match could have gone either way and is one of the less predictable matches in the tournament. Vice won with a roundhouse kick to the side of Palmer’s head to get the pin.
With Vice picking up this win she will face the winner between Karmen Petrovic and Jaida Parker. Kelani Jordan advanced last week and will take on the winner from Jakara Jackson and Arianna Grace.
A great video package was shown about the upcoming match between two women from Ireland. Becky Lynch will be defending the NXT Women’s Title on Oct. 24 against Lyra Valkyria. Their history was mapped out in the vignette seen below. Valkyria was then interviewed backstage and was interrupted by Tegan Nox.
Nox wanted Valkyria to put her title match on hold because she wants a rematch against Becky. Valkyria said that wasn’t gonna happen and that Nox had her shot and she lost. Now we will be seeing Nox vs. Valkyria next week.
There was also a Chase U segment with Thea Hail showing up late and she said she would not join the class unless Jacy Jayne was there also. Andre Chase agreed to it.
Cody Rhodes kicked off NXT. He announced that the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Tournament was returning. However, he did not specify if the women would be participating.

Hikaru Shida is AEW Women’s World Champion once again.
During a special Title Tuesday edition of AEW Dynamite, Hikaru Shida received her awaited rematch against Saraya following the title change at AEW All In over a month ago.
The first half of the bout saw them stay evenly matched as they traded lots of strikes. A masked Ruby Soho then tried spraying Shida at ringside, but Shida sprayed her instead. As Soho attempted to retreat, Toni Storm attacked her from behind with a shoe. Storm then chased Soho through the crowd, allowing Saraya to attack Shida from behind.
After the break, Shida comes back with a jumping knee strike and a missile dropkick. Shida also planted Saraya with a stalling German suplex on the apron. Back inside, Saraya managed to hit two Knight Caps, but Shida kept kicking out.
Shida pulled out a Falcon Arrow, and after trading rolling pinfall attempts, Shida finally secured the three. She is now the first-ever three-time AEW Women’s World Champion.
Earlier in the night, we saw the premiere of Toni Storm’s silent film during a picture-in-picture commercial break.
Looking forward, Skye Blue vs. Emi Sakura has been announced for Friday’s Rampage.

Jade Cargill has made her second appearance on WWE television. This time on NXT.
Cargill seems to be making her rounds. She first visited at Fastlane last weekend where she was greeted by Triple H. This time she was greeted by Shawn Michaels and welcomed to NXT. You can view the exchange below.
There is no official word what brand Cargill will be on.
Paul Heyman was at NXT this week to be in the corner of Bron Breakker for his match against Carmelo Hayes. NXT Anonymous was busy and caught Heyman talking with Ava. He showed her his phone which has The Bloodline on it before he made a call. Ava is currently on her own as Schism has broken up and both her and Joe Gacy have gone their separate ways.
Tonight seems to be the WrestleMania of NXT Roxanne Perez will be in action as she takes on Asuka. Kiana James set up the match saying that Perez has been lacking a killer instinct to succeed.
The Breakout Tournament continues as a first round match takes place between Lola Vice and Dani Palmer. Last week, Kelani Jordan waz the first woman to advance to the semi finals when she defeated Izzi Dame.
Becky Lynch defeated Tegan Nox on Monday so she still remains NXT Women’s Champion. She is set to face Lyra Valkyria next in two weeks on the first night of Halloween Havoc.
Jade Cargill teases an appearance for tonight’s NXT.
Since WWE announced Cargill’s signing in September, the star’s arrival has been a hot point of discussion. She made an appearance arriving at WWE Fastlane last weekend on the pre-show.
Cargill has shared on her social media a photo of Shawn Michaels calling her. The caption reads, “I wonder what he wants”
Roxanne Perez has a huge task ahead of her tonight as the Empress of Tomorrow Asuka makes her way to NXT.
This match was made after Kiana James and Perez had a brawl last Tuesday. James says if Perez wants a match with her then she will have to go through Asuka.
While talking to Booker T on his podcast, Perez has the following to say –
“I am so ready. You know, I was thinking about this. Kiana James gave me a big task. I have a big task ahead of me, Asuka, Grand Slam Champion, longest-reigning NXT Women’s Champion undefeated in NXT. I think people tend to forget that I’m a prodigy. I’m ‘The Prodigy.’ I’ve been grinding since I was 13 years old. I’ve been perfecting my craft so that one day when I made it to the WWE, I was performing at a mastery level to the likes of Asuka. So I think I’m ready. I think I’m so ready,” she said. (Fightful)
What do you think? Do you think Perez will be able to conquer Asuka tonight? Or will the Empress prove why she had that undefeated streak?
Check back in with Diva Dirt tonight to chat about NXT live.
Two women’s matches have been booked for the Oct. 16 episode of Raw. Both come about after the happenings from this week’s episode.
First we had the advertised match between Nia Jax and Raquel Rodriguez. Both women trying to prove that they are the biggest and strongest of the division but ended in a no contest when the Women’s World Champion arrived and took out both women.
Shayna Baszler then entered to go after Jax but Ripley wasn’t having it. The two argued before Baszler dropped Ripley with a suplex and then a running knee to stand tall and end the segment. Jax retreats up the ramp.
Later in the show, Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell were in Adam Pearce’s office checking on the well being of DIY. DIY was attacked earlier by Imperium. Ripley entered and told LeRae and Hartwell to get going. The champion then demanded Pearce to book her and Baszler in a match next week.
In a Digital Exclusive, Rodriguez is heated because she is tired of having her matches interrupted. She says that Rhea and Shayna have been added to the list.
Next we had Becky Lynch defending her NXT Women’s Title against Tegan Nox. A match that was set last week but due to the injured stitched up arm of Lynch it had to be postponed.
Before the match, Lynch was being interviewed back stage where she was being asked how she physically felt. Knowing she wasn’t 100%, Lynch was going to continue doing what she does, be a fighting champion. Xia Li approached her and asked here where is her title opportunity? Lynch says she isn’t hard to find.
The match between Lynch and Nox was hard fought as Nox clearly had been studying Lynch. She also knew of the injured arm and worked that to her advantage. This including at one point getting Lynch in her own DisarmHer submission. Through all the near falls, counters, and moments Nox got throughout the match, it would be Lynch to finally get the DisarmHer locked in to retain. Nox tapped out but looked good in defeat.
Lynch will now be taking on Lyra Valkyra on night one of NXT’s Halloween Havoc on Oct. 24.
After the match, Nox was recouping from her match backstage. She was talking to Natalya, Kayden Carter and Katana Chance. The WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Chelsea Green and Piper Niven emerge. Green warned Natalya not to interfere in her matches again. Natalya got in Green’s face and asked her “or else what?” Niven said or else she is going to have to deal with her. Natalya vs. Niven booked for next week.
Maxxine Dupri and Valhalla appeared in their valet/manager roles.
Every active woman on the Raw roster was used in some capacity tonight except for Trish Stratus, Zoey Stark, and Nikki Cross (on Main Event).
Nia Jax will be taking on Raquel Rodriguez while Becky Lynch will be defending the NXT Women’s Title against Tegan Nox. The title match was scheduled for last week, but Lynch was injured from the bout she had with Tiffany Stratton at No Mercy.
NXT Superstar Gigi Dolin is chomping at the bit to have some matches against women she has never faced. Two names that she has brought up are Becky Lynch and Rhea Ripley. Two women who have been in NXT quite a bit lately.
While speaking on the Drinks with Johnny podcast, Dolin said the following –
“I don’t know (when I’ll get in the ring with Becky Lynch). She mentioned me on Tuesday night so… She mentioned a lot of girls Tuesday night so who knows? But, yeah, I don’t know. That’s definitely somebody I’ve never been in the ring with and obviously, I would love that match. There’s so many women right now that I have never even touched in the ring and I just really want that opportunity. Rhea Ripley is another one that — I would love to have a match with Rhea Ripley. She brings a whole different kind of energy that’s just insane… I want some kind of Cage match though. I want something hardcore.”
Dolin also went over previous ring names she may have used. She wanted Gigi Aileen but was told no due to famous serial killer Aileen Wuornos.
“I’m trying to remember what other first names did I come up with (for my WWE run). I know that I wanted the name Gigi Aileen was one that I liked but that one didn’t pass because of Aileen Wuornos. They were like, ‘No, we’re not doing that. That’s a serial killer. You can’t do that.’
We have Joe Gacy which is in the same ballpark but, I don’t know, I get it. They’re probably like, we already have Joe Gacy coming in around the same time as me and it was like, if I came in with another serial killer name, it was probably just gonna be a little overkill maybe. I don’t know (she laughed).” (POST Wrestling)
Dolin was last victorious over Blair Davenport on the Oct. 3 episode of NXT.
During the WWE Fastlane Press Conference that took place after Saturday’s show, Triple H gave comments about both Bayley and Jade Cargill.
Since Bayley has returned from injury last year, she has been putting over both Dakota Kai and IYO SKY on the main roster. Kai and SKY are two-time former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions while SKY is the current WWE Women’s Champion. Triple H calls Bayley the “Unsung All-Star” of the women’s division.
“The unsung all-star of that Women’s division, Bayley continues to just prove why she is one of the most valuable players and MVP of that division like nobody else and I don’t know that she’s ever given credit for that but she absolutely should be,” says Triple H.
We also saw the arrival of Jade Cargill as she arrived at the Fastlane venue. Though she didn’t appear on the main show in any capacity, the tease of Cargill appearing on WWE TV had everyone buzzing.
When we will see more of Cargill, Triple H had the following to say,
“When she’s ready to blow the roof off everything we do. There is one thing that I am, it’s patient for stuff like this,” Triple H says. “Her ability and rise has been incredibly quick. This is a different system. A different level of everything. What doesn’t exist elsewhere, does exist here, that opportunity to learn at a different level and get to a different place, that’s just the way it is. One thing I’ve learned about her in the short time I’ve known her is that she’s ready for it all. She’s ready to dig in, she’s ready to work her ass off. She wants to be the best. When I talked about the team, she’s ready to be on this team and drive everybody on the team. It’s exciting to see.”
He continues, “The thing you don’t want to do is put them in a position that they are sort of ready for. You want to make damn sure they’re ready. No matter what happens, she’s going to knock it out of the park. When is it? Not sure. Where is she going to go? Not sure. I can tell you this. There are a lot of people internally that are in charge of the brands. Everyone wants her. Everyone is chomping at the bit to work with her. I think that’s going to create some incredible programming. When she’s ready, she’s going to be huge. We had eyes on her before. She took a different path. It was an amazing path for her and exposed her to the world and a great opportunity for her. I’m glad she’s done what’s right for her and she’s here now and I look forward to strapping the rocket on her.”
Raquel Rodriguez taking on Nia Jax is set for this Monday’s Raw.
Since Nia Jax’s return to WWE, she has taken out several top members of the Raw women’s locker room.
Last week, Jax was set to take on Shayna Baszler, but the show started off with the two fighting to the ring. This caused Rodriguez and Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley to return and join the brawl. Jax took out both Rodriguez and Ripley her first night back a few weeks ago.
Timeless Toni Storm continues to stay true to her new character. She shares her script from her Oct. 7 match against Kiera Hogan on Collision.
Storm picked up the win against Hogan after a match involving some butt slapping and biting. Storm won the match after hitting Storm Zero.
On Friday’s Rampage Hikaru Shida and TBS Champion Kris Statlander defeated Nyla Rose and Marina Shafir. Shida hit Saraya’s Night Cap to put away Shafir. Shida challenges Saraya for the AEW Women’s World Title this Tuesday.
IYO SKY’s WWE Women’s Championship reign lives on as she defeated both Charlotte Flair and Asuka at Fastlane.
Originally, SKY told her Damage CTRL partners to stay backstage as she didn’t need them because she has her own strategy. The match quickly started as more of a one-on-one match as Flair was blinded by Asuka’s mist and took the first few minutes with medical.
Of course we figured that Bayley couldn’t stop herself from trying to help SKY, so she did make her way to ringside towards the end of the match.
As Flair had Asuka in the Figure Eight, The Empress was tapping but the referee was preoccupied with Bayley on the ring apron. SKY hit her moonsault on Flair to break up the hold and she pinned her to retain.
SKY has held the belt for about two months since cashing in on Bianca Belair at SummerSlam.
The former AEW TBS Champion Jade Cargill has officially made her first appearance for WWE on the pre-show of Fastlane. Her signing was confirmed by WWE in September and the promotion has been talking up her debut ever since.
They showed a replay of Cargill’s arrival to Fastlane, however, she wasn’t used on the show.
Here is your discussion post for tonight’s WWE Fastlane event. The show starts at 8 PM ET.
Sadly were are still on this only one women’s title can be defended at a premium live event kick. However, the match we have should be a good one as the WWE Women’s Champion IYO SKY defends against Charlotte Flair and Asuka.
Also there is a lot of buzz and rumors going around that Jade Cargill will be showing up tonight.
Tatum Paxley and Izzi Dame pick up perhaps a surprising win on NXT Level Up. This is Dame’s fist victory since making her debut, and Paxley’s first televised win since she was teamed with Ivy Nile in November 2022. They defeated the team of Kelani Jordan and Valentina Feroz.
Paxley showed off a new finisher on Feroz for the win. The move has been made famous by Suzu Suzuki from STARDOM known as the Tequila Shot.
October 7 has become a very big day for women’s wrestling.
Eight years ago on this date, two moments continued to revolutionize women’s wrestling for years to come in WWE. Asuka makes her NXT debut against Dana Brooke while Sasha Banks and Bayley battle in the first women’s 30 minute Iron Woman match.
Asuka’s first win against Dana Brooke at NXT: Respect on Oct. 7 2015 would mark the first in a a 914 day undefeated streak which crossed over from NXT to the main roster. She was finally defeated by Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 34 in 2018.
On that same night was the historical match between NXT Women’s Champion Bayley and the woman she defeated for that gold, Sasha Banks. This match became historical for many reasons.
This was the first women’s match to headline a major WWE event, the first time in WWE history that a women’s match had this stipulation, and the longest women’s match in WWE history at the time. The record of the longest match was broken by Banks when she had a match against Charlotte Flair at Roadblock: End of the Line in December 2016. That match was also a 30-minute Iron Woman match that had overtime.
Both Bayley and Banks posted about their historic match on social media –
The Australian promotion World Series Wrestling (WSW) kicked off their Full Throttle Tour on Oct. 6. On that date, former WWE and IMPACT talent Cassie Lee returned to the ring for the first time in 17 months. She teamed with Harley Cameron and defeated Jessica Troy and Lena Kross.
At that first show, the WSW Women’s Champion Steph DeLander got injured. It happened when Matt Cardona went to go after Shawn Spears with the title belt. Cardona hit DeLander off the ring apron and she came crashing down through a table but hit her head on the concrete. She confirmed this injury on her social media.
This led to the crowning of a new WSW Women’s Champion on Oct. 7. A gauntlet match had Cassie Lee come in third to take out Jessica Troy and Lena Kross. Also included Harley Cameron and Aysha.
– Harley Cameron eliminates Aysha – Jessica Troy eliminates Harley Cameron – Cassie Lee eliminates Jessica Troy – Cassie Lee eliminates Lena Kross
Bayley may not be the one that Charlotte Flair needs to pin at Fastlane, but Flair along with her Fastlane opponent Asuka, did get the win on SmackDown.
Fastlane will take place later today and the one (angry face) women’s match will be for the WWE Women’s Title as IYO SKY defends against both Flair and Asuka. SKY was on the losing end of the Oct. 6 SmackDown as Bayley was pinned.
The final moments of the match had Flair tied up in the ropes when Bayley went for a pin but Flair kicked out. SKY was climbing up on the opposite ring apron. Bayley went to put Flair in the Figure Four but Flair kicked her away, knocking off the champion from the ring apron to the ringside floor. Flair hit Natural Selection on Bayley for the victory.
Another vignette aired for Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn. They continue with the curse of the tag titles and state that the curse will continue to spread until they get what they want.
The SmackDown dark match was Michin and Shotzi vs. Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn. Michin and Shotzi won.
Rhea Ripley was also on SmackDown and had an encounter with Paul Heyman where she told him to “Acknowledge Me.”
Former IMPACT Knockouts World Tag Team Champion Cassie Lee has returned to the ring.
As part of World Series Wrestling (WSW)’s Full Throttle Tour, Lee teamed up with Harley Cameron to take on Jessica Troy and Lena Kross on Oct. 6. Lee and Cameron came out with the victory.
This was Lee’s first match since April 2022 when she and tag team partner Jessica McKay took a step away from wrestling. Since that time, Lee has had a child with husband and fellow wrestler Shawn Spears. McKay is currently pregnant with her first child.
Upcoming matches for Lee include a singles match against Troy and a mixed tag match with her husband Spears taking on Matt Cardona and the WSW Women’s Champion Steph DeLander. This gold has been previously held by popular names such as Jordynne Grace, Taya Valkyrie, and Indi Hartwell.
Tonight’s SmackDown is the last show before Fastlane that takes place tomorrow on Saturday.
At Fastlane, IYO SKY will defend the WWE Women’s Championship in a Triple Threat against Asuka and Charlotte Flair. Tonight, Asuka and Flair will team up to fight SKY and Bayley.
Mariah May has wrapped up her time with STARDOM and is expected to be joining AEW. The rumor has been around for a bit, but according to the Wrestling Observer, May’s arrival in the promotion is expected.
The report also states that May is likely to join with Toni Storm in her new “Timeless” gimmick.
For those unfamiliar with May, she had her in-ring debut against then-NXT UK talent Nina Samuels in 2019. She attended a tryout for NXT UK.
May worked on the indie scene before working with STARDOM for the past nine months where she was a member of Club Venus with Mina Shirakawa and former NXT UK talent Xia Brookside. May and Shirakawa, known as a team Rose Gold, won the Goddess of STARDOM titles and held them for 49 days before dropping them to REStart (Natsupoi and Saori Anou).
May confirmed her departure on her social media which can be seen below –
