Former NXT talent Sloane Jacobs, real name Amelia Herr, is reportedly making her home at MLW. She will be participating in the promotions featherweight women’s division. She has also gone by the name Notorious Mimi outside of WWE.

This news of her signing is being reported by Fightful Select.

Mimi was released by WWE last November after less than a year.

MLW’s current Women’s World Featherweight Champion is Delmi Exo who was one-half of ghe popular indie tag team, the Sea Stars. She’s held the title since June when she defeated the inaugural champion Taya Valkyrie.

Trish Stratus Praises Tiffany Stratton, Says “We’ll See” On A Future Match

0

WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus is giving praise and compare Stratton’s start to a lot like hers. Following the Extreme Rules match that Stratton had with Becky Lynch at No Mercy, Stratus had the following to say on Booker T’s podcast –

“I see the same sort of things, and she said this, ‘I have to prove myself because people expect a certain something out of people who look this way.’ That’s just the way it is. I wouldn’t say Tiffany and I are the Girl Next Door, more bombshell. There is a lot of pre-judgment and pre-conceived notions about what that person or personality can deliver. For me, I thrived on knocking down those preconceived notions, that’s what drove me. ‘You think I can do this, I’m going to do this.’ I knew I had to prove myself. Even to the boys, when I first came in, I had to prove myself to the boys.

I know that Tiffany has had a similar journey, just because of the way she looks and her lack of background, just like I had, I didn’t come from a traditional background or upbringing. We are both in that same predicament. Having those chances and taking those opportunities, like she did with her Extreme Rules match, taking those opportunities and seizing them. ‘This will solidify and shut those people up.’ I love what she’s doing. I’ve tackled the ten-year generational gap. Trishy Time, Tiffy Time.”

When asked if she has interest on facing Stratton, Stratus stated –

“We’ll see. I’m available at certain times [laughs]. This is always my thing, every time I’ve been back, it’s about will I have fun? Will it be entertaining for the fans? Is it different for the fans? Will I do something that will help the business? Those are the boxes I need to check. Who knows. I always leave everything open. The last box is, will I be able to perform at my optimal level? If I’m shittier than I was before, I’m not coming,” she said. (Fightful)

Stratus was last seen in a steel cage match against Becky Lynch at Payback in September.

Knockouts Tag Team Title Match Set For IMPACT Bound For Glory 2023

This week’s episode of IMPACT kicked off with Knockouts action as Tasha Steelz and Killer Kelly renewed their rivalry.

Kelly tried crawling to Steelz at the start, but Steelz cut her off with a kick. Steelz went on to hit a draping DDT off the apron to maintain control. She then applied a headlock until Kelly was knocked out of the ring.

Masha tried checking on Kelly when Tasha hit her with a baseball slide. Back inside, Steelz kept Kelly down with a camel clutch. Once free, Kelly hit three consecutive clotheslines followed by a butterfly suplex into the corner. Kelly trapped Steelz in a sleeper before Deonna Purrazzo came down and pulled the referee out, making it seem like Masha did it. Back inside, Steelz planted Kelly with Black Out for the win.

Following the win, it was later announced that MK Ultra will have to defend the IMPACT Knockouts World Tag Team Championship against the new team of Steelz and Purrazzo at Bound For Glory on October 21.

A massive 10-person tag team match saw Eric Young, Jordynne Grace, Jake Something, Dirty Dango, and Champagne Singh team up to face Bully Ray, Jody Threat, KiLynn King, Shera, and Brian Myers with Bound For Glory implications involved.

Threat started the match with Dango as Dango initially refused to lay hands on her and KiLynn. Grace eventually came in and tangled with Threat briefly before King returned and showcased her strength against the former champion.

Myers took over with offense on Grace before “The Juggernaut” requested Bully Ray step in. Bully ended up dropping Grace but she avoided an elbow drop. Bully and King went on to hit EY with a double suplex and then King and EY briefly squared off. Grace returned to slam Threat around some more until King broke the cover. In the end, Grace’s team won when Jake Something pinned Shera.

As a result, Grace, Something, Young, Dango and Singh will face off in a five-way bout next week. The winner will earn the #20 spot in the Call Your Shot gauntlet, while the loser will enter at #1.

We also heard from Knockouts World Champion Trinity in a backstage segment as she addressed Mickie James‘ BFG challenge. She understands why Mickie wants a rematch and she feels honored to face her “true friend.” However, Trinity is confident she’ll retain.

Additionally, this week’s BTI saw Savannah Evans pin Jessicka.

Timeless Toni Storm Outlasts Skye Blue On AEW Dynamite

“Timeless” Toni Storm has arrived.

The October 4 episode of AEW Dynamite featured Storm officially debuting her “Timeless” persona, complete with smeared mascara and lipstick. She started her match against Skye Blue by introducing herself (again) before clobbering her with a lariat.

Blue was able to get a little bit of offense in before Storm hit a hip attack that knocked Skye to the floor.

After the break, Skye had even more of a comeback that included a headscissors, enziguri, and a crossbody from the top. Storm then pleaded for Skye to let up before throwing her with a German suplex.

Storm received a close up and then connected with a hip attack in the corner followed by Storm Zero for the win.

Storm will be in action again on Saturday’s Collision as she takes on Kiera Hogan. Additionally, Rampage will feature Kris Statlander and Hikaru Shida vs. Nyla Rose and Marina Shafir.

As noted, Saraya will defend the AEW Women’s World Championship against Shida next week on a special “Title Tuesday” edition of Dynamite.

Lyra Valkyria Earns Title Shot; Asuka vs. Roxanne Perez Set For Oct. 10 NXT

0

A lot took place on the Oct. 3 episode of NXT.

Four women’s matches!

The show started off with the N-Bex-T Women’s Champion Becky Lynch in the ring. She went over her match with Tiffany Stratton from Saturday. She says not only has she not been medically cleared to compete following the Extreme Rules bout but she made sure Stratton wasn’t as well.

We know that Lynch will face Tegan Nox next Monday Oct. 9 and defend her championship in. a match rescheduled from Oct. 2. However, that didn’t stop three women from coming out demanding their shot at The Man’s gold. First it was Lyra Valkyria who said Lynch was her inspirational to start wrestling. Ever since she saw Lynch in her first match in NXT she wanted nothing but to stand across the ring from her idol.

Next was Indi Hartwell. Hartwell came all the way from Raw to try and get the championship back that she never lost. And lastly, was Roxanne Perez who didn’t want to wait on the sideline for a shot against Lynch.

All three women had valid claims to a title match, but there was only one way to decide this – a Triple Threat. The winner to take on Lynch (or Tegan Nox) on Oct. 24 on the first night (out of two) of Halloween Havoc.

The final moments of the Triple Threat witnessed Kiana James getting involved and taking out Perez to make sure she didn’t win. Lynch was on commentary and went after James to make sure she didn’t do more damage. It would be Valkyria who picked up the win off of the pin on Hartwell.

Post match, Tegan Nox came out to make sure Valkyria knows she is up to face Lynch next.

Moments later, James was being interviewed and said there’s only one way that Perez will get a match with her. That is, if Perez can defeat Asuka on next week’s NXT!

Elsewhere on NXT, the rivalry between Gigi Dolin and Blair Davenport continues. This time the match goes forward and Dolin picks up the sneak win with a roll up pin. Dolin brought a chair into the ring and the referee stopped her from using it, but then Davenport picked it up and while distracted with the referee, Dolin got the pin.

Davenport attacked the referee post match.

A tag team match took place as Jacy Jayne and Thea Hail took on Lola Vice and Elektra Lopez. Despite Vice having and upcoming match in the Women’s Breakout Tournament, she couldn’t help get a win for her team here. Hail locks in a submission on Lopez for the win.

Duke Hudson and Andre Chase asked to be at ringside for this match which Jayne said it was okay.

Finally, a fourth women’s match took place which was the start of the NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament. Before the tournament officially kicked off, all eight competitors were inteoduced on the ramp. Kelani Jordan took on Izzi Dame in the first bout.

Jordan was said to be the favor in this match based on fans seeing more of her so far. She also recently had the biggest match of her career as she faced Blair Davenport at No Mercy.

Favored to win, and she did. Jordan picked up the big win with a split legged moonsault. She advances to the semi-finals who she will face the winner between Arianna Grace and Jakara Jackson.

Rhea Ripley also appeared alongside the rest of the Judgment Day to help Dominik Mysterio get the North American Title back. Which he did in the main event by defeating Trick Williams.

Check back in with Diva Dirt for more news and results from the women of NXT.

The news came about when HYAN appeared in a video after Giulia’s last title defense where she defeated Ami Sohrei on Sunday. This will be HYAN’s debut for NJPW. HYAN is mostly known on the Europe scene where she wrestled last month against Alex Windsor and Mickie James for the RevPro British Women’s Title. She has also appeared this year in ROH and IMPACT.

Brawl Opens Raw, Lynch Invites Indi Hartwell Back To NXT

0

Becky Lynch is currently not medically cleared but that isn’t going to stop her from lining up contenders for the NXT Women’s Title.

On the Oct. 2 episode of Raw it was supposed to be Becky Lynch vs. Tegan Nox for the championship. However, Lynch has a laceration which required stitches to her arm after her Extreme Rules fight with Tiffany Stratton at No Mercy. The match between Lynch and Nox will happen once The Man is cleared.

In a WWE Digital Exclusive, Indi Hartwell was seen backstage taking a photo of the NXT Women’s Title belt. Lynch joined her and asked her what she is doing to which she replied taking a photo of a championship she never lost. Lynch said she isn’t hard to find and invited Hartwell to come to NXT tomorrow. To that, Hartwell seemed to agree as both women exchanged each others catch phrases to end the segment.

Nox was in action still this week as she took on one-half of the Women’s Tag Team Champions, Chelsea Green. Before the match, Lynch approached Nox to ensure her that she will be next. As Lynch was leaving, Nattie joined Nox and offered a restart between the two. Nattie feels that they got off on the wrong foot.

Nox would go on to defeat Green with the Shiniest Wizard. Nattie came out to make sure Piper Niven would not get involved and joined in with Nox celebrating her victory.

Raw opened this week with a brawl. A match between Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler did not end up happening as they would start the show off fighting on the stage. They took the fight to thw ring but the official could not get them to break it up to start the match. Raquel Rodriguez returns after her attack from Jax a couple weeks back. Rodriguez would enter the fight just before the Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley returned as well.

All four women fought until security pulled them apart. Ripley would remain in the ring and address the Judgment Day and Dominik Mysterio’s loss at No Mercy.

Raw Discussion Post: 10.02.23

Lynch had an Extreme Rules match against Tiffany Stratton at No Mercy on Saturday and due to the laceration to her arm is not medically cleared to compete tonight.

WWE.com is still advertising the match.

Becky Lynch Defeats Tiffany Stratton In Extreme Rules Main Event At No Mercy

0

Becky Lynch and Tiffany Stratton proved why they deserved the main event slot at this weekends NXT No Mercy.

On Saturday, Lynch defeated Stratton to retain the NXT Women’s Championship in one hell of a main event. Tegan Nox was in the front row as she has interest in the winner. She will be facing Lynch this Monday on Raw for the championship.

This match between Lynch and Stratton was an Extreme Rules and the start had the two brawling on the outside and through the crowd. The match included every weapon imaginable including, yes, Barbie dolls.

Big moments in the match included a swanton onto a table from Stratton, Stratton taking out Lynch through the time keeper’s area, and Lynch using her shopping cart to deliver a lot of pain.

The final moments of the match had Stratton miss with the PME which allowed Lynch to deliver the ManHandle Slam onto a pile of chairs for the victory.

Nox was shown in the crowd once again smiling and signaling that she would become the next champion.

Earlier in the night on the Kick off Show, Blair Davenport would defeat Kelani Jordan. But this wasn’t an easy match for Davenport as Jordan showcased her best moves yet. Post-match Gigi Dolin attacked Davenport. They will finally have their one-on-one match this Tuesday.

Also, with the Dyad now gone, Joe Gacy has given up on Schism and ended his partnership with Ava.

Halloween Havoc Returns For Two Nights Oct. 24 & Oct. 31

0

October 1 is tomorrow which means Halloween is just 30 days away. And what better way to do it then NXT’s Halloween Havoc. This will be the fourth year since this event has returned and under the NXT banner. It will also take part over the course of two week’s as it starts on Oct. 24 and will continue on Halloween night, Oct. 31.

Halloween Havoc since its return has done well for the women’s roster. It has had Shotzi as its host as well as women main eventing it with Io Shirai (IYO SKY) defeating Candice LeRae in a Tables, Ladders, and Scares match to retain the NXT Women’s Title in 2020.

Mandy Rose became the NXT Women’s Champion in 2021 when she defeated Raquel Rodriguez (with the help of Dakota Kai) in a Trick or Street Fight match. That same night the rest of Toxic Attraction (Jacy Jayne and Gigi Dolin) won their first NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships in a Triple Threat Scareway To Hell Ladder bout.

And last year we witnessed Rose retaining the gold making her reign come full circle at the event she won it at. She retained against Alba Fyre. All of this while Roxanne Perez defeated Cora Jade in a Weapons Wild match!

What do we see going down this year with not just one but TWO nights of spoooooky fun!?!
