Belair leaves the ring and cuts off Flair as the two brawl at ringside. Asuka went to the corner perhaps thinking of taking our Flair when Ms. Money in the Bank IYO SKY entered and smacked the back of the champion with the briefcase.

Bayley alongside of SKY hit the Rose Plant to Asuka on the briefcase. SKY followed up with a moonsault. SKY then motioned for Bayley to cash in for her but before the referee could take the briefcase, Belair pulled Bayley out of the ring.

Becky Lynch Wants To Main Event Night Two Of WrestleMania

WWE Superstar Becky Lynch continues to look for accolades to check off her wrestling bucket list. She has already become one of the first three women to main event a WrestleMania 35 in a Triple Threat, but now that the event is a two-night affair she wants to become the first woman to main event on the second night.

The first night of WrestleMania 37 saw Sasha Banks vs. Bianca Belair collide for the SmackDown Women’s Championship in 2021. But despite women winning their respective Royal Rumble matches, the women have not main evented since then.

While speaking with Cosmopolitan UK, Lynch commented on the new championship belts and also wanting to win one in the main event on Night Two of a WrestleMania.

“Gosh, is there anything else on my wrestling bucket list? I suppose there’s always the want to main event WrestleMania again, and now WrestleMania has a new format. It is two nights. So it would be nice to be the first woman to main event the second night of WrestleMania. [Plus] now we’ve got new women’s titles, so I want to win both of them,” Lynch said. (Fightful)

Currently, Lynch is having a continuous feud with Hall of Famer Trish Stratus with Zoey Stark as Stratus’ protege. Lynch will be facing Stark on the upcoming July 10 episode of Raw. It is expected that round two of Lynch vs. Stratus will take place at SummerSlam in early August.

Knockouts Title Open Challenge Set For Final IMPACT Before Slammiversary

The July 6 episode of IMPACT saw Gisele Shaw take on Courtney Rush. Shaw initially was trapped in an arm lock, but she was able to break free and regroup. Jai Vidal distracted Rush from the apron, which allowed Shaw to take control.

Rush managed to land a Samoan Drop, but Savannah Evans then stepped up on the apron. Jessicka tried to counter her, but got thrown into the steps. Vidal provided one more distraction before Shaw pinned Rush with her feet on the ropes for the win.

Elsewhere, Trinity confronted Deonna Purrazzo in her locker room. She questioned why Deonna took so long to help her last week, which prompted an argument. Purrazzo then announced she’ll defend her Knockouts title in an open challenge next week just 48 hours before Slammiversary.

Speaking of the pay-per-view, Traci Brooks will be at ringside at Slammiversary for Frankie Kazarian vs. Eddie Edwards. This comes after Alisha interfered in their match on Thursday.

Ruby Soho Advances In Owen Hart Cup On AEW Dynamite, Semi-Finals Set

The 2023 Owen Hart Cup semi-finals are set.

This week’s AEW Dynamite featured a singles match between Britt Baker and Ruby Soho to determine who would advance in this year’s Owen Hart Cup. As usual, The Outcasts were at ringside for plenty of shenanigans.

Toward the end, Saraya distracted the ref, which allowed Toni Storm to grab the Owen Hart title. Ruby then slammed Britt’s face into the title before connecting with Destination Unknown. Baker managed to kick out, so Ruby tried for the Lockjaw and switched to a chinlock.

Britt rolled back off the ropes and applied Lockjaw, but The Outcasts pulled Ruby out. Britt took care of both Saraya and Storm at ringside, but once she returned to the ring, Soho stacked on top of her while holding Storm’s hand for the win.

Soho will now face Skye Blue next Wednesday, while Athena will battle Willow Nightingale this Saturday on Collision to determine who will meet in the tournament finals on July 15. In the meantime, Friday’s Rampage will feature Hikaru Shida vs. Marina Shafir.

Kelani Jordan Wins In NXT Debut

0

On the July 4 pre-taped episode of NXT, Kelani Jordan made her official singles in-ring debut against Tatum Paxley. A match which she was accompanied by Dana Brooke and pulled through with the victory.

Jordan picked up the pin off of a Stunner delivered to Paxley. Post-match, Cora Jade came out to warn Jordan that any friend of Brooke’s was an enemy of hers. Jordan interrupts Jade’s promo and said she had another match in her and challenged her. Jade declined.

To start the show was a match between Blair Davenport and Roxanne Perez. Perez is still fuming over Davenport being the mystery attacker. She wouldn’t let Davenport make it to the ring as Perez attacked her during the entrance.

Davenport would come out with the win in this one. After throwing Perez in the steel steps, Perez was able to get back in the ring at the count of 9 and a half. Davenport executed a Falcon Arrow which Perez barely kicked out of. After two knee strikes to the face of Perez, she finally stayed down for the three count.

The third women’s match was between Lyra Valkyria and Jacy Jayne. Over the past several weeks, Valkyria hasn’t liked the games and the way Jayne has been talking about her. Valkyria gets the big win after a roundhouse kick. Jayne wasn’t down and out though and attacked her post match. She finished the segment by ripping up Valkyria’s feathers.

Following Kiana James dumping paint on Gigi Dolin last week, Dolin trashed James’ office with paint.

There was a loser leaves NXT match between the Creed Brothers w/Ivy Nile and The Dyad w/Ava. Surprising many, The Dyad came out with the win sending the Creed Brothers out of NXT. However, Nile may not be leaving with them.

Earlier in the night Nile had a backstage interview. The interview was interrupted by the NXT Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton. Stratton and Nile exchanged words including the fact that despite Stratton retaining against Thea Hail she did tap out. When Nile left, Stratton asked if Nile was gonna leave if the Creed Brothers lost. She was told no.

Alicia Fox Talks End Of Her WWE Career

Former WWE Divas Champion Alicia Fox now going by Vix Crow sat down with DS Shin of Ring the Belle to talk about her career. A 17-year veteran recently ended her time with the promotion and Shin sat down with her to talk about the fan voted top five moments.

The top 5 moments included –

  • Alicia Fox vs. Mickie James – Divas Title Match
  • Alicia Fox wins Divas Championship
  • Fox goes wild
  • Alicia Fox becomes captain of team Raw
  • Alicia Fox & Mickie James vs. Trish Stratus & Lita – Evolution

Fox talked about not being utilized during the pandemic and how her contract came to an end in April 2023.

“For me, during the pandemic, I was at home, and I don’t really know why I’m at home. But my luggage is packed, ready to go. I’m healthy enough, I’m in shape enough. Whatever’s going on at work and my bag’s packed, not packed, whatever, I knew that there was a date in April coming that, my contract comes to an end. It was like April 25 or something this year, and it was kind of this waiting pattern that I was used to already having. Well, they’ll call me when they need me. Whatever. I broke my tailbone, it was Rumble [2018], Michelle hadn’t been in the ring in seven years, and I think me, her, and Fit [Finlay] felt comfortable with whatever we would do. But I broke my tailbone, so I went home. At this point, I broke my tailbone, I think I was going on the road here and there, like Toronto and doing appearances and stuff, and still trying to get sober but just not being able to figure it out because I was so broken-hearted by this shit. I remember one outcry I had was in Toronto, and I was supposed to work a program, but then I got taken off. It was a lot,” Fox said.

She continued –

“After I went to rehab, I think the pandemic happened a couple weeks after it. It was super strange because at the time, I was really grateful that I wasn’t in the facility during this pandemic. I would have been freaking out. I am an alcoholic, and y’all have me at home. I’ve been there in that machine 17 years. I want an explanation. I want to know about this date coming up. This is while I’m sober. This still haunting day, and no answers. One day, a fan tweeted me a picture of that legends shirt, and it had my little head on there. I was like, ‘Why is my head on that shirt? You’re gonna legend me up? It’s not even fair.’ I got a couple phone calls like, ‘Are you retired?’ I’m like, I got my first merch. Sure, okay, whatever. We’ll go to the firing date. This whole time, I’m nervous I’m gonna get fired,” she said.

Fox will be appearing for Booker T’s ROW promotion later this month.

Knockouts Tag Team Title Match Added To Slammiversary

Slammiversary is rapidly approaching on July 15 and a second Knockouts match has been added.

The Knockouts World Tag Team Championships will be on the line as The Coven defend against the ney formed team of Masha Slamovich and Killer Kelly.

Per IMPACT

A few weeks ago on IMPACT!, Killer Kellyscored an important victory over one half of the Knockouts World Tag Team Champions, Taylor Wilde. After the match, Kelly found herself on the receiving end of a 2-on-1 beatdown when KiLynn King joined the fray. But in a jaw-dropping turn of events, it was Masha Slamovich who came to Kelly’s aid just days after the two tore each other apart in a brutal Dog Collar match. Two weeks later, Slamovich would go one-on-one with King. Following repeated interference from Wilde, Kelly returned the favor and neutralized her at ringside, leading to the victory for Slamovich. With two wins over The Coven, Killer Kelly and Masha Slamovich have earned a Knockouts World Tag Team Title opportunity at Slammiversary. Will the unlikely allies dethrone the dealers of dark magic?

This match comes second to the previously announced Knockouts World Title match where Deonna Purrazzo will be defending against Trinity.

Ripley Retains Against Natalya; Maxxine Dupri Makes In-Ring Debut

If you missed the July 3 episode of Raw then you missed an episode full of the women’s roster.

The advertised match of the night was for the Women’s World Championship as Rhea Ripley defended against Natalya. Natalya has been looking for a fair fight since Night of Champions and she hasn’t received it – until now.

This time Natalya didn’t allow Ripley to get the jump on her and instead jumped her during her entrance. The match was everything that their Night of Champions encounter should have been. Nattie spends most of the match trying to lock in the Sharpshooter. Eventually in the end it would be the Riptide to finally keep the veteran down. Ripley retains.

Post match, Ripley continued to beat down on Nattie until Rodriguez and Morgan rushed to the ring to make the save.

Moments later Ripley ran into Ms. Money in the Bank IYO SKY backstage. Ripley warned SKY that if she tries to ever cash in on her it will be the biggest mistake of her life.

Two big segments took place on Raw this week. In a follow up from Shayna Baszler’s shocking turn on Ronda Rousey at Money in the Bank, Rousey wanted some answers. She made her way to the ring but before she could talk, Baszler’s music hit. She says she is confident and can speak for everyone when she says that we are all tired of Rousey trying to speak on the microphone.

Baszler continues to say that Rousey is only standing in a WWE ring because of her. Despite Rousey saying she is owed an explanation of the betrayal, Baszler says she owes her nothing. Baszler continued by saying she earned her spot in WWE. She kicked the door down and crawled her way up whereas Rousey waltz right on in and went to WrestleMania.

Rousey first turned it physical when she kicked Baszler off the ring apron, but once in the ring, Baszler applied the ankle lock on her former best friend. Rousey would eventually break free with the use of the ring ropes before Baszler hit a wicked knee to the face.

Baszler would leave the ring with Rousey yelling saying she isn’t finished.

The other major segment involved Becky Lynch, Trish Stratus, and Zoey Stark. Stratus brought back the face mask as she stated Lynch broke her face at Money in the Bank. This is identical to the mask she wore in 2004. After many words were exchanged, Stratus confirmed she wasn’t medically cleared but that Stark will face Lynch next week.

Lastly, Maxxine Dupri finally had her in-ring debut. After weeks and weeks of Dupri being frightened of Valhalla to being trained by Chad Gable and Otis, Dupri stepped in the ring in a six person tag match. Alpha Academy and Dupri vs. Viking Raiders and Valhalla.

The women didn’t enter in until the end of the match but Dupri got the win for her team by pinning Valhalla.

Chelsea Green and Sonya Deville became the number one contenders for the Women’s Tag Team Titles. You can read more on that here.

Green & Deville Win No. 1 Contender Tag Team Turmoil Match

Chelsea Green and Sonya Deville are the new number one contenders for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles. They defeated four other teams after entering first in a Tag Team Turmoil bout.

The other teams involved were The Way (Candice LeRae & Indi Hartwell), Nikki Cross & Emma, Tegan Nox & Dana Brooke, and Katana Chance & Kayden Carter. They entered the match in the order listed. The champs Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan sat at ringside.

This match was Hartwell’s official debut on Raw since being called up to the red brand during the last WWE Draft. She had suffered an injury which has kept her out of the ring.

After taking out Hartwell and LeRae, Emma and Nikki Cross would enter the match. Cross came in with the energy but it quickly became a 2 on 1 affair between Deville/Green vs. Emma. Cross saw LeRae was injured on the outside. She went outside to show her concern for LeRae and stayed out the the remainder of her teams time in the match. Emma was pinned.

Next up was Brooke and Nox. The makeshift team did what they could but in the end would fall like the teams befofe them with a running knee by Deville. Lastly, the longest reigning NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions Chance & Carter entered the ring. They have a prior win over Green and Deville.

The match certainly picked up in this last part of the bout. The final moments had the KC’s going for the After Party finish but eventually it would be the UnprettyHer from Green to get the pin and the victory.

The challengers and champions have a short stare off in the ring after the match. We do not have a date of the championship match at this time.

More Raw results to follow.

Raw Discussion Post: 07.03.23

Tonight’s Raw has scheduled Natalya challenging Rhea Ripley for the Women’s World Title.

Also as a fall out from Money in the Bank, Shayna Baszler turned on her best friend and teammate Ronda Rousey. As a result we have new tag team champions Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez. What will we see in regards to this tonight?

IYO SKY on the SmackDown brand won the MITB briefcase but where does that leave the rest of the competitors with Trish Stratus and Zoey Stark still feuding with Becky Lynch.

Charlotte Flair Creative Plans Plus Rumor Killer From Money in the Bank

Charlotte Flair took on Asuka for the WWE Women’s Championship last Friday on SmackDown. The match ended in a disqualification when Bianca Belair interfered.

Over the weekend was Money in the Bank on Saturday. There was a rumor going around that Flair was going to replace someone, more specifically Zelina Vega, in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match. According to Fightful Select, that was never the case.

Fightful Select states, they hadn’t heard of such a plan to take place. When following up with their sources they were told there wasn’t serious consideration to this and that Charlotte’s creative had been planned for a while, even before her recent return. Her creative has been to be involved with both Bianca Belair and Asuka. The idea has been in place to help re-establish Asuka and have her involved with two top talents chasing her for the title instead of the other way around and to add more intrigue and suspense to the reign.

Check back in with Diva Dirt for more news and results.

IYO SKY Wins Ms. Money in the Bank

IYO SKY is the new 2023 Ms. Money in the Bank.

The match also featured Bayley, Becky Lynch, Zelina Vega, Zoey Stark, and Trish Stratus. Various storylines played out through the contenders in the match but all eyes were glues on how Damage CTRL will work on this match.

The match took a turn when Bayley dumped SKY off of the ladder and made the first break between the duo. Bayley and Lynch lastly battle on the ladder but SKY outsmarted them and handcuffed them together through the ladder. SKY climbed the ladder and unhooked the briefcase to become Ms. Money in the Bank.

Morgan & Rodriguez Win Back Tag Titles, Baszler Turns On Rousey

In a complete shocking turn of events at Money in the Bank, we have new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez defeated Shayna Baszler and Ronda Rousey after an audible gasp came out of the crowds mouths when Baszler turned on Rousey.

In the final moments of the bout where Rousey and Baszler had the challengers right where they wanted them, Baszler applied to Kirifuda clutch to her own tag team partner. Morgan who was in the ring was left shocked and confused.

Baszler would leave the ring afterwards allowing the challengers to pick at the scraps. Rodriguez tagged in Morgan and delivered a Tejana Bomb to Rousey. Morgan hit ObLIVion for the three count as the duo now become two-time champions as a pair. This ends Baszler and Rousey’s reign at 33 days.

Money in the Bank Discussion Post: 07.01.23

Here we go! This year’s Money in the Bank is here.

Two women’s matches are on the card as follows –

Undisputed Women’s Tag Team Titles

Shayna Baszler & Ronda Rousey (c) vs. Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez

Money in the Bank Ladder Match

Becky Lynch vs. Trish Stratus vs. Zoey Stark vs. Zelina Vega vs. Bayley vs. IYO SKY

For Diva Dirt’s predictions you can click here.

Money in the Bank Predictions: 07.01.23

Today’s WWE Money in the Bank event starts at 3PM ET as it takes place from the O2 Arena in the UK. There are two women’s matches on the card.

The Undisputed Women’s Tag Team Champions Ronda Rousey will be defending against Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez. Morgan and Rodriguez never lost the titles due to Morgan’s injury and now they are ready to reclaim them.

Predictions

COLBY: I’m glad this PLE will have two women’s matches after all because it looked like there would only be the ladder match for several weeks. Nevertheless, I’m actually excited, in a sense, for this because these women have decent chemistry with each other.

Morgan feuded with both Rousey and Baszler last year, while Rodriguez has proved to have some really entertaining TV matches against Rousey. It’s also so great to see Morgan back already after it seemed like she would be out longer. However, I don’t see the titles changing again and that’s perfectly fine.

WINNERS: Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler

GARY: Given that Raquel is likely being primed to face off against Rhea Ripley, I don’t see her winning this match with Morgan. Baszler/Rousey win and ideally move on to an extended program with The KC’s after the taster we got with them earlier. The KC’s vs the champs in a gimmick match of some kind? Yes please!

WINNERS: Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler

NICK: I think this will be the last we see Raquel and Liv together. There’s also been rumors of Ronda and Shayna going to NXT and with Jakara and Lash calling them out last week I can see that continuity happening.

WINNERS: Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler

We also have the Money in the Bank Ladder Match. Six women will battle it out to become Ms. Money in the Bank. The winner grabbing a briefcase where they can almost guarantee a cash in to become a future champion. The participants are: Becky Lynch, Trish Stratus, Zoey Stark, Bayley, IYO SKY, and Zelina Vega.

Predictions

COLBY: What a field! It’s certainly not a group of women I would have predicted a couple of months ago, but I like it. Trish in her first ladder match could go one of two ways — she does some crazy stuff, or she leaves Stark to do her dirty work for her.

Another tag team includes Bayley and IYO SKY, but it feels inevitable that we’ll really see some cracks here. While Becky and Zelina each have their own mission as the resident babyfaces, I don’t see them winning here. I’m torn between Trish and IYO and I feel like I’m going to stick to IYO.

WINNER: IYO SKY

GARY: I feel like this match could go a number of ways but I think the briefcase is going to be used to further an existing storyline but will that be Stratus vs Lynch or the demise of Damage CTRL? I’m going to with latter and say that IYO SKY gets the win and Bayley pressures her time and time again to cash in while acting like the briefcase is their shared item to continue dividing the pair.

WINNER: IYO SKY

NICK: This could go so many ways. It could go the route to involve Becky/Zoey/Trish or it can be used for Bayley/IYO. These are the biggest stories heading in with Becky saying MITB is the one thing she has yet to win. I think that with Becky standing tall at the summit means she isn’t winning so I will go with my peers and say IYO.

WINNER: IYO SKY

Come back to Diva Dirt at 3 PM ET to talk about the show live.
