Tonight on Monday Night Raw (Nov 27th), Paige was set to compete in her first WWE match in well over a year alongside recently NXT call-ups Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose in a six-woman tag match against Bayley, Mickie James and Sasha Banks.
Before the match could even take place, it was revealed that Mickie James and Bayley were both attacked backstage by Paige, Sonya and Mandy, leaving Sasha Banks alone in the ring as she awaited her tag team partners
Paige, Sonya and Mandy would then meet with Sasha in the ring, where Paige would go on to introduce her new team as “The Absolution”. The group would go on to credit Paige for removing the word “Diva” from the WWE and asked Sasha whether she would pledge her allegiance to them. Sasha would go on to attack Paige but soon found herself outnumbered by Absolution, who laid Sasha Banks out.
Absolution would resurface later in the night after Asuka made very quick work of Dana Brooke. The group surrounded Asuka around the ring, leading to a stare down but Absolution backed off from any attack. Asuka then walked away to the back.
