Former UFC Star and American Top Team member, Paige VanZant made her return to AEW to take out Brandi Rhodes.
On the recent edition of AEW Dynamite Brandi and Dan Lambert got into a lengthy verbal confrontation, which featured a slew of derogatory remarks right of the late 1990s/early 2000s back catalogue, resulting in Lambert getting a slap across the face.
The strike brought out VanZant who went straight after Brandi in a pull-apart brawl featuring several members of the AEW women’s roster as chants of “let them fight” rang through the venue.
The two continued to argue as they were separated implying we will see a Brandi Rhodes vs Paige VanZant match in the future.
VanZant was last seen in AEW during the American Top Team and Inner Circle feud. During this time she took out Chris Jericho with a barrage of strikes before taking selfies over the downed legend.
Elsewhere on the show, Nyla Rose defeated Ruby Soho. The match was a decent back-and-forth, which saw the Native Beast target Soho’s shoulder. Despite fighting valiantly Soho succumbed to the Beast Bomb after the ten-minute mark.
