Tonight at Payback, Brie and Nikki Bella take on Naomi and Tamina Snuka. Will the new combination of Naomi and Tamina be a winning one? The Diva Dirt team weighs in:
Bobby: I am not too into this match because I feel like this is the biggest chance we’ll have of seeing Naomi win the title and the longer we wait, the more chances they have to back down from pulling the trigger as usual. Regardless, with there being a lot of pay per views spaced out within a few weeks, I guess it makes sense to not do a title match over and over and save it being considered fresh. As far as this goes, I would say Brie and Nikki Bella should win because Naomi and Tamina have seemed to get the upper hand every week (even though I want that to continue… Jesus just give me Naomi as Divas Champion please).
Chris: Boy, this is an exciting build-up. Naomi and Tamina pick up the win.
Erin: I’m torn: on the one hand, this new pairing of Naomi and Tamina is obviously constructed to give Naomi the oomph she needs to reach the Divas Title. On the other hand, Naomi and Tamina have been getting the upper hand for two weeks now. That would mean that the Bellas are due for a win. I’m going to go with my gut and say Brie and Nikki Bella pick up the win and Naomi and Tamina put on a post-match beatdown that is either meant to put Naomi over as a true threat or usher in the return of Paige. I just hope that, if the latter happens, we’re looking at a three-way feud and Naomi is still firmly in the title picture.
Jack: The almighty Tameezus is fresh from her return and Naomi needs a win here to keep her case to be in contention for a title shot. I see Naomi pinning Brie here to keep her on her ama-may-ay-ayzing roll! Naomi and Tamina to win.
Josue: Another PPV and another Divas Tag Match on the card. While it’s frustrating to see this has become a routine for the Divas this year, it does makes sense for this particular tag match to happen. Not necessarily because of how this feud between the Bellas and The Family has been booked, it’s pretty much been a one note storyline, but because of the frustrations within Naomi and Tamina. Tamina has finally been able to make a statement since her return to the WWE alongside Noami; she’s been tough and hard hitting with those super kicks. I think to help get a head start on the quickly approaching Divas Elimination Chamber match, Naomi and Tamina will get the win over the Bellas, which hopefully leads to a singles match between Naomi and Nikki for the Divas title with the numbers at ringside evened up.
