It is being reported by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful that Persia Pirotta has been released. Adding to Dakota Kai who was first announced, Pirotta is another name that has been confirmed from today’s NXT releases.
Pirotta was still fairly new to WWE but she was signed in March 2021. She first appeared during the Indi Hartwell/Dexter Lumis wedding where she was referred to as one of Hartwell’s oldest and dearest friends. She would be considered a member of The Way stable before the group resolved. Pirotta and Hartwell would eventually form a tag team and chase tag team gold but were unable to capture the titles.
The team hinted at a break-up when they faced each other in March but continued to stick together up until Pirotta’s release.
Prior to her short time with WWE, Pirotta worked the Australian wrestling scene and is a former Melbourne City Wrestling (MCW) Women’s Champion.
