Pick Your Poison Match Set For IMPACT’s Victory Road

The build to IMPACT Victory Road and Bound For Glory continues.

We learned on the September 8 episode of IMPACT! that Masha Slamovich will pick the challenger for Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace at Victory Road on September 23. It will be considered a ‘Pick Your Poison’ match. Grace let it be known in a backstage promo that Masha’s mind games will not get to her at Bound For Glory.

This week’s episode of IMPACT Wrestling saw the first match in Mickie James‘ Last Rodeo as she took on Raychell Rose. As expected, Mickie picked up the victory in a bout that showcased her signature moves against the Texas native.

Is Mia Yim crossing over into the X-Division? “The HBIC” had an exchange with Kenny King backstage, which led to Yim making an appearance at ringside during King’s bout against the debuting Yuya Umera. Yim prevented King from using the ropes during a pin, prompting King to grab Yim by the hair. Yim kicked him in the head to set up the victory for Umera.

In the second Knockouts match of the evening, Chelsea Green battled rival Taya Valkyrie. These two constantly pinned each other in an effort to get the battle over with as soon as possible. Things broke down when Deonna Purrazzo tripped Taya, leading to Rosemary wiping Deonna out. Jessicka got on the apron to distract Chelsea, but it resulted in Chelsea pushing Taya into Jessicka before scoring the three-count. Things are not looking great for Valkyrie, Rosemary, and Jessicka.

As for next week’s show, Killer Kelly delivered a message through Gail Kim that she wants Tasha Steelz on commentary to watch Kelly take on Alisha Edwards.
