Before her dance craze swept the nation, NXT Diva, Emma was merely a fan of wrestling like any of us.
She had her favorites, sure, and just who might they be? Well, look no further than this picture of herself with Trish Stratus.
The photo was taken all the way back in 2002, when the dancing Diva was just thirteen years old.
WWE.com posted the snapshot to headline an interview they conducted with Emma as a part of their NXT 10-Count series.
In it, Emma answered plethora of random questions, ranging from her wrestling inspiration all the way to her favorite band.
And don’t fret, the meaning behind her dance was brought up as well.
When asked about her influences, Emma told the story behind the photo with Trish:
“I was so excited to meet her when WWE had the Global Warning Tour in 2002 in my hometown of Melbourne, Australia! I was only 13.”
A picture really does say a thousand words, and part of what makes Emma so relatable and easy to root for – aside from her infective dance, mind you – is the fact that she grew up idolizing the same people we all did.
