History was made on this week’s episode of NXT UK. Piper Niven teamed with Jack Starz to face Jinny and Joseph Conners in the brand’s first-ever mixed tag team match.
Niven and Jinny have been at each other’s throats for months with the “Fashionista” always coming out on top due to the assistance of Conners. Things came to a head two weeks ago when Niven confronted Conners setting up the mixed tag team match.
The match kicked off with Jinny avoiding Niven by tagging in Conners whenever the ICW legend approached. This tactic continued throughout the match. Even when Niven did get her hands on her enemy, Conners was there to help.
Niven had enough of her opponent’s games and planted Jinny with a big headbutt. This caused Conners to get in her face and recieve a smack across the face and a Piper Driver for his efforts. Starz made the cover to pick up the victory for him and Niven.
Also on the show an Aoife Valkyrie vignette saw her calling herself her biggest challenge to reach the next level.
