This past Monday on Raw WWE began hyping Asuka‘s arrival to the brand and speculation is running rampant over when she’ll appear and who she’ll be feuding with.
The Wrestling Observer Radio is reporting that she’ll make her first appearance in October, possibly at Raw’s TLC PPV, after recovering from her collarbone injury. To further hype her arrival, a WWE Network Collection on Asuka is scheduled to kick off the month of October.
It’s been rumored that Asuka will quickly advance to the Raw Women’s Championship scene. However, new reports are stating that Emma may be her first opponent on her way there.
According to Cageside Seats, there’s a chance WWE won’t have Emma take the pin in No Mercy’s Fatal 4Way title match because she’s slated to be Asuka’s first main roster feud and they want her to look as strong as possible for that rivalry.
When Emma was added to the No Mercy Match fans speculated whether she’d be eating the pin and who could walk out as the Raw Women’s Champion since WWE seem to be high on pushing a Nia Jax vs Alexa Bliss feud.
Asuka and Emma last squared off in NXT at TakeOver: London in December 2015. Their rivalry would help launch Asuka up the NXT ladder and create one of her best matches.
What do you think about this rumor? Would you like to see Asuka take on Emma again? How do you think Asuka should be booked on Raw? Sound off in the comments below.
